I popped into Chungs' this evening to grab some food for the family after work and we were pleasantly surprised with what we had. The lady on the counter was really lovely and friendly, and the chap at the back came out and smiled too. Our meal for three people came to around £11 which is incredibly good value, and tasty at that! We mainly had sausage and chips and chips with curry sauce, but still really good value. The portions were a good size and there was ample choice on the menu. It's a cash only establishment, but that's not a problem as the shop next door has a free ATM so no difficulties there. The shop itself is very clean and tidy, and there are chairs available if you need to wait for your meal to cook.

Best Chinese chip shop in Kingswood . The curry sauce is 2nd to none. Been going here since ken and it's still great under new owners.

Its a Chinese chip shop how much atmosphere do you want? They are polite and food is excellent and prices our fair with a vast menu

I have liked all the meals I have had there cash only no cards accepted not an issue pop next door get you favourite drinks and cash from the cash machine no charge for withdrawals it is not a restaurant so can't mark up Atmosphere stars

Good Chinese meals at a very good price! Recommend the satay and the black bean sauce. Fast & friendly service, walk in meals prepared very quickly. Highly recommend. Cash only.

Always been popular with our family and we think Chung's chips are divine! always a local Chinese you can rely on and reasonably priced.

We always use this takeaway for our Chinese, and it is always perfect! We ring the order through and collect and its always correct and delicious! Last weekend we ordered 16 meals for an outdoor birthday celebration, all the food was correct, hot and really tasty. Wouldn't go anywhere else! :)

Ordered a takeaway delivery. Food came some items missing contacted them wouldnt send delivery driver back as it would cost them! Even tho we paid 3 pound delivery. Food was cold GREESY and awful! And with missing items still paid full price. If you want a nice Chinese don't go to these. Customer service was awful too!

I can’t fault chungs in any way. The staff are very polite and the food is amazing. The salt and pepper chicken is the best I’ve had in bristol and the curry has so much flavour

Regular customer, never had a bad meal in 30 plus years.. new owners are very polite and helpful 5 stars every time. Allow a reasonable time for larger orders when busy at peak times at weekends. Excellent takeaway..

My son had a pancake roll from there last eve and have ended up with food poisoning he's been throwing up all day

I didn’t get my takeaway here for a few years because I thought it was going downhill, but when I tried it again a few weeks ago I was pleasantly surprised. It’s definitely better than it was. The chips especially were good and the chicken balls were tasty. I’m glad I gave it another try.

09/08/18 Just Received Undercooked Fish in Runny Batter , Ordered a Special Chow Mein and received some sort of Curried Chow Mein Vile Food . Won't be Going Back ....

Birthday meal for one - special fried rice and special Chow Mein. See pictures. I’d read doubting reports on this takeaway but I found the standards as high as ever. Appears to be a younger team running it now but the recipes are the same. Still the best Chow Mein in Kingswood!! Don’t be fooled - this place is alive and popular!!

Twice I've had the beef curry and fried rice both time I've had food poisoning, which is a shame because I used to love it. Not sure what's happened!

Always loved this place, been having food from here for the last 20 odd years, always come back even if I move away!

Didn't like it. Very poor quality food. Shop up for sale, I think he has lost interest. Shame as it was always so nice.

Ordered my take away over the phone on Saturday and collected it 20/25 minutes later, we got home after collecting our order to find our sweet and sour chicken balls missing. I called Chungs to tell them and they apologised and said I can come get them or have a voucher for next time. The person I spoke to went to check with his dad and then come back and said we didn't order them we only ordered the sauce. Next minute the man on the phone was shouting at me saying I ordered King prawns.. (all of us having the Chinese do not like prawns) so I continued to explain that I wouldn't have ordered that but I was continuously shouted at. Even if I had ordered "king prawns" they weren't in the bag either so they were forgotten!!! Customer service is utterly terrible!!! Have been coming here for a while, but will find a new Chinese now with better customer service.

Over the years we have made many many visits to Chungs for our Friday night takeaways. That in itself is a great recommendation as the quality and quantity of the food has always been fantastic. Bring family run, the welcome is always warm and even at them busiest times service is quick and reliable. In a street with many takeaway outlets Chungs stands head and shoulders above its rivals ...

Excellent and polite service. I never have to wait very long and I am yet to go anywhere that has better curry sauce! I continue to return regularly even after moving away from the area.

This is a traditional mixed chip shop and Chinese takeaway. My wife only uses this place for the Chow mien - to be fair it's pretty good. Not sure they deliver. Really big menu.
