Chung Ying in Birmingham

No idea where Ping and family have gone. They were there one minute, closed for a week and reopened with new owners. Still, the menu is the same and the service is quick and friendly. Food is still good, portion sizes are great and still good value for money.

Nice and tasty food but be very clear when ordering special fried rice. One is saucy with assorted meat and veg with an egg on top and the other is traditional fried rice. They happily exchanged when we pointed out the error. The food was good quality and fast and that’s what you expect from a local Chinese takeaway. Would like to try more of their dishes.

Used this takeaway for years, food is great. If i order the same thing somewhere else i am usually disappointed. Staff in there are really friendly. Value for money great. Strongly recommend.

Takeaway food at restaurant standards. Really good food, loads of meat and nice portion size. Not so much mono and salt. Very nice. Quickly delivered, with a nice extra on order 15+ GBP. Probé un montón de llevar a todos nosotros y siempre volvemos a este gran comida, servicio rápido, precios justos y siempre una disposición feliz. Probé todo tipo de menú y nunca me ha decepcionado. Ahora solo voy a otro lugar cuando esto está cerrado (los lunes por la noche no son Horas de Banco)

We used to use this takeaway A LOT, but the food isn't quite as good. The prices have shot through the roof and now it is cheaper to go to a Chinese buffet restaurant. Such a shame.

Been here a fair few times. This Chung Ying is the takeaway in Erdington, and not the Chung Ying restaurant with waiter service in China Town. That one is called Chung Ying Garden located in the middle of China Town Birmingham, As for this takeaway, can't really fault it. Staff are friendly and happy. Doesn't take them long to get your food ready for collection when you order. Portion sizes are great, the food is super tasty and the prices are really good. They haven't gone up much, around 20p here and there. Don't forget, this is the takeaway, There is 2 other Chung Ying in Birmingham, one is China Town and one in the city centre.

I have used this place for over 30 years. Sadly, portions have reduced over the years. As with most places, prices have increased. We now go somewhere else most of the time. Food still not too bad, but not the best anymore.

Always use this place as a lazy treat. Food always hot and tasty so little need to look elsewhere. Usually stick to the "chicken fried rice" or "pork chow mien" kind of meal but much wider choice is available. They do take telephone takeaway orders and do not keep hungry customers waiting long!

I've tried lots of local takeaways but this is by far the best. Friendly service, good fresh food & they will customise dishes to your requirements. Fillet steak Cantonese style is my absolute favourite.

I've been to many Chinese takeaways and this has to be one of the best i've been to. Service is always pleasant and the food cooked in a fast time. It's nearly always ready for collection if you order by phone and go and pick it up. When it hasn't been ready it was only another 2 mins before it was. The portion sizes are very good and the food very tasty, and best of all, the prices are just as good to. Prawn toast! Yep they sell it here and out of all the Chinese takeaways and restaurants i've been to in the UK, this is the best. Why? Because you actually get a good prawn filling here instead of a thin scrapping like everywhere else.
