Gave our food to someone else then told us we had received it pathetic

very enjoyable food, full of taste and fresh

Food was lovely and hot as always but delivery was really slow tonight over an hour and a half wait.

Food was delivered hot and quick but chicken very chewy and very small portions, ordered a few times from here but don't think i will order again very disappointed

Meal took two hours to arrive I couldn’t eat my part of the meal due to already leaving for work before the order arrived

Food cold. Delivery late. Never again

45 mins late half hour after eating just threw it all back up chicken undercooked

Chinese family business, English and chinese takeaway and delivery. Big portions, fair price. Can pay with a card. Busy shop so can wait a few minutes, but never too long. Regulars get fortune cookies from friendly staff. Always a smile when you go in.

Lovely hot food and quick delivery

Would be great if it actual arrived when the app said it had. The food did not arrive for 15 mins after it said it had arrived

portions are very generous even the kids meals, foods always fresh. love the salt an pepper chips, an the staff are lovely especially the young lad

Won tons are crisp and tasty. And the chicken vermicelli is gorgeous.

Food was amazing, Roast Pork, Cantonese sauce, Salt & Pepper Chicken, boiled and fried rice all done to perfection, yum!!!

Had a delivery a couple of times from this place and every dish has been 10/10 .salt and pepper dishes are yummy 😋 had the beef with chilli/soy sauce which was also delicious …always on time and food is hot on arrival 🙌🏼….defo our go to chinese 🙂….5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Nothing special basic snide food

first time ordering. beef in blackbean sauce was very rubbery texture, like eating grissle! hardly any meat on the ribs in the combination box. not great. chips were nice. wouldnt order again.

Wow! Amazing duck, salad etc the chippy style chips were so crisp and fresh, not sweaty even after being wrapped and traveled. The curry sauce and the chicken curry are to die for. Fantastic food , my new go to takeaway x

ordered and never got my order. didn’t even get my money back. feel bad for giving a review so low however it is important to let others know about the chances of this happening to them. luckily it was like £15 so im not fussed about it but it did ruin my night considering i wanted a chinese.

Always get chop suey rolls from here as they used to be lovely but last 2 times have been tasteless used to be packed with meat and veg now no meat only cabbage and carrot also half the size they was Disapointed

Used to love this takeaway but ordered tonight got the wrong order with one meal phoned back up the lady was so rude like it was our fault no love it's yours and don't bulk your meals out with a shed load of broccoli can't fault the delivery driver so apaulagitic but he's not cooking the meal definitely swerve this one disgraceful

I like the veggie grub here. The Thai green vegetable curry is cracking and very reasonable.

New management are horrible people the woman who answers the phone is so rude and doesn't understand customers. The food is disgusting I will never order again from there. The delivery drivers have been there years they are lovely and will go out of their way to help you. Its a shame it's changed hands again as it was fabulous when the little Chinese fella ran it last year

Was staying at a nearby hotel and this place was on route. A few mixed reviews of the place but I just decided to give it a try. I found the food very nice. Has to be in the top five of the nicest chinese food I have eaten and I have tried loads. I went for something simple, chicken fried rice with curry sauce and small portion of chips. The fried rice was nice and moist, well cooked with good chunks of eggs that you could actually see, unlike most places. And the chicken in it was really fresh and cut in the right sizes. The curry sauce was just perfect. The chips were hot, straight from the deep fryer with good amount of salt and vinegar applied. Very huge portions, could only eat half. Would love to sample other more complicated dishes but sadly I don't live in the area. Its five stars from me!

When I first started coming to Chung Yee the quality was good, which is why I carried on going there. I don’t know what happened or if they have a new chef but I’ll never waste my money there again, order something with chicken in and every single piece of chicken has fat on, there was more fat than chicken. And to add insult to injury the tiny specs of chicken that were clinging to the fat were not even cooked properly. Don’t do it to yourself. Twice I’ve had bad food from them now, gave them a second chance and the dirty so and so’s ruined my whole night with their slop. There’s a BUNCH of other chippy’s in the area though so not to worry

Love this place, always quick and food consistently good standard. You can generally judge a place by the quality of its chips and these know how to cook a chip

The delivery was fast and the food had good portion sizes while being very fresh. The staff are friendly and helpful. Would definitely bring the hubby and kids here again. Highly reccomend.

Have had '2b meal for two' tonight. Way too much for 2 of us! Soup, duck excellent. As was the beef cashew (best beef I've ever had from a takeaway), and, sweet & sour chicken. And we get a good lunch from it tomorrow! Money well spent!

Like the food from here but cannot give it a better rating as the availabilty can be unreliable. Also only opens in the evenings so not an option for lunch.
