It's a pretty basic airport. But the toilets are dire. Cracked seat in one of them. Blocked and dirty in the other one I went in.

It could be a lot better if it was cleaner, and people cleaned up.

The first thing you do to make your life easier for yourself and the other two things that are going through the process of being yable and happy are to have fun together with the kids and be able be happy with each other’s life is the same way I love it when you are happy together with the girls and are happy with each other I don’t care what you

25 minute wait to disembark the only plane on the airfield as they only had 2, instead of 3 staff required to ensure you walk 20m correctly. Absolutely pathetic.

Arrived at 1am, then had to stand and wait for a bus for nearly 30 minutes, seems 3 planes landed within 2 minutes of each other, hence the wait, going through passport control very easy, but WH Smith, you need to check your pricing structure, £4.19 for a small bottle of Pepsi!!! Really?! Never go in there again. 😡

Extremely Disappointed with Liverpool Airport Security and Ryanair Staff – May 16th Our experience at Liverpool John Lennon Airport on Friday, 16th May was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Due to slow, disorganized airport security, a group of eight of us missed our Ryanair flight. The security queue was painfully slow, with little communication or urgency from staff. There was no process in place to prioritize passengers with imminent departures, and when we sought help, we were met with indifference. To make matters worse, when we finally reached the gate area, Ryanair staff were rude and completely unhelpful. Instead of offering any support or guidance, they dismissed our concerns and made no effort to assist in rebooking or offering alternatives. The combination of poor airport management and unprofessional airline staff turned what should have been a straightforward trip into a costly and stressful ordeal. We sincerely hope both Liverpool Airport and Ryanair take this feedback seriously and make urgent improvements to prevent other travelers from experiencing this.

Walk from the plane was a bit of a hike..

Easy parking, no rush departures.

It is not very comfortable to go down fixed stairs with a backpack and carry-on.

Liverpool airport is one of the friendliest airports you will ever have the pleasure of travelling through. Fro the security staff to the shop and restaurant staff, they are fantastic.There is rarely anything of a queue to get through security and they have improved the restaurant/ bar layout and shops so that everyone can find a happy place, be that in the bar, shopping or a quiet seat (easyJet Gate 3 is usually full of seats and accessible). I highly recommend using the airport for making your travel experience smooth and enjoyable.

First time using Liverpool and was not disappointed. So fast getting through security due to being well organised and everyone doing a great job. The same on the inbound , great staff and really fast getting bags and getting out. Great service all round and my new best airport.

Brilliant experience, the staff there are very helpful and friendly. The whole experience was efficient and stress free. It's a relatively small airport and all the better for it.

The airport is easy to find, which is a plus. But being a small regional airport, there’s not much in terms of shopping. Parking is a real downside £12 for just one hour feels way too expensive.

Really easy airport to use, much faster than Manchester and more reliable. Great duty free. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Worst airport, I've ever been. Not managing passengers pile-ups on security making you not make it to the gate on time, staff does not care.

Avoid this hovel if you can. It’s dirty, staff distinctly unhelpful especially if you need assistance. I’ve been in third world airports which are better. But it’s Liverpool what else would you expect?

Quick security and easy to walk through. Never seen so many girls in curlers, hen and stag dos in an airport before😅

As airports go this is probably the least worse. Staff are pleasent and delays seem to be fewer than other airports. Miles better than Manchester but still an overpriced mall which one wouldn't visit if one did not have to go somewhere.

Liverpool staff tha work for airlines and behind shop counters are lovely - Especially the Ryanair crew that work for here are greattt total chilllllll as opposed to the crew at Manchester airport who are monsters in all ways and act ole they are running the White House . Lisa at sceruity management on bag screening needs a new job she’s horrific .

Using LPL frequently since November last year and what a pleasant change after 25 years of Gatwick and Stansted. BUT ,having to pay up to £12 ,just for drop off or pick up for Disabled people who can't walk the distance to/ from the free drop off , is exploiting their situation.

Lovely little airport. Fast security with CT scanners. Clean and quiet on Saturday mornings. Water fountains are slightly hidden but available - gate 3.

Passenger-friendly airport. Despite the large number of passengers, you can always find a place to relax before the journey. Efficient passenger service.

Clear plastic bags are not free

Liverpool is quite possibly the friendliest airport in the uk from check in to special assistance team especially George and Gary who I had a great chat with while they were helping me nothing too much trouble all done with a smile I y to Liverpool from Belfast and would never go to Manchester which is closer they are like chalk n cheese well done Liverpool with special recognition to George in Gary in assistance there a credit to the airport Linda Morrison

Friendly - Liverpudlians are nice people

The reception staff and customs staff are efficient and friendly shopping area staff are polite. Avoid The kissing Gate. The tables are filthy the wait for food horrendous and all round service appalling.

Small, which is a great thing. Easy to get off the plane and into other means of transport. It took me tonight maybe 10 minutes including finding the toilets. Very clean toilets, I need to mention. There is news agents open until at least 9 pm if not longer (didn’t ask, was open when we landed). Tons of atms. Some sculpture there as well. All in all very nice airport, although nothing insanely good like say Singapore or Doha.

Straight forward. No messing. Modern gates in at security so you don't have to empty your bags to go through the scanner. Back to the good old days of travel. Manchester needs to catch up. Well worth the extra travel from Salford for a lot less hassle.

We had a return flight to Madrid. Always fly from Liverpool whenever we can. Friendly staff, great facilities. Easy journey out and return as usual. Flying again very soon 👍🏻

Classic airport. Now security lets us pass without removing liquids and electrical devices from the bags, which is nice. It is difficult to find drinking water: there must be fountains but in the toilets there is only hot water.

Easy to navigate and lot better than some airports. Plenty of shops/restaurants just a bit on the higher price but you’re on holiday make the most of it. 🍸

Far less busy than Manchester, we were off the flight and on the car park home within half an hour.

Having a smoking area airside is standout. Nice quiet airport..

Great airport from parking to boarding. Only gripe we had was the aspire lounge wasn't the same standard as the one in Manchester airport. No self serving cooler fridges to get your own beers etc, had to go to the bar an queue. A smaller selection unless you wanted to pay a little extra. The food wasn't too great either.

Many staff looked shattered felt for them on visit. Limited till service only do it yourself Simon said machines. Not very Gluten Free/Vegan friendly sharing my experience for others.

First time flying out of this airport yesterday to Poland and was disappointed with the customer experience. The queues at security were horrendous and painfully slow. Only 3 lanes open. I like the new style bag scanners as you no longer need to separate your laptop and liquids, however the human body scanner is even slower than the old ones. Then you have a long walk through the duty free shop with staff trying to sell you everything. Felt like I was back in Marrakesh and having to keep saying NO. Then got to the bit to get down to departures. No visible lifts. I struggled to carry my bags down a flight of stairs. God help those with small children or the elderly. I wouldn’t use this airport again, unless I had no other options.

Abusive and incompetent security staff. A mediocre low cost airport playing to be world class. Just fly from Manchester

The customs are racist. I’m the only Asian there and the only one that got patted down even though the scanning pod did not show anything wrong.

Liverpool Airport is always my favourite and I use the airport up 30 times per year. The new security machines are amazing, such a game changer not having to remove liquids, laptops etc… The new body scanners however, even on a quiet day, take much longer than the old ones did. Staff are now to busy just talking amongst each other and not paying attention to passenger that my experience was longer and more stressful than it was before the new systems. Seems such a waste of investment when the process isn’t actually quicker.

Awful, i was there with 12 minutes before the final call and they didn’t allow me to go to the airplane , avoid at all !!! The worse airport possible from uk , i dont recommend to anyone who want to fly from john lennon liverpoo and swissport awfull as well

Easy checkin and new security measures a breeze

Best airport in the U.K. , if given the choice I'd fly from Liverpool every time. Still the best, great staff from car park to inside. Visited again today, still smooth and easy. Beware of rip off coach drop off and pick up fees. If your getting a minibus to the airport, make sure they know its £35 drop off and £35 pick up fee if they don't pre pay 24hrs before.Even if you pre pay its £20 drop off and £20 pick up. Greedy organisations need to be taken to account. Big shout out to Graham Murray for getting me through the airport with zero hassle, really nice bloke.

Great airport: quick and professional security area, a nice few shops and restaurants plus plenty of seating. The refurb is lovely, but clashing music from multiple sources is offputting.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport has a lot of room for improvement, especially when it comes to accommodating passengers of different faiths. One major drawback is the complete lack of a designated prayer room. In today’s world, where many airports provide multi-faith spaces to cater to travelers’ religious needs, it’s disappointing that Liverpool Airport has overlooked this necessity. For Muslim passengers in particular, finding a quiet and clean space to pray can be a real challenge. With no dedicated area, people are forced to use uncomfortable or inappropriate spaces, which is far from ideal. Given that other UK airports, including Manchester and Heathrow, provide proper prayer rooms, it’s surprising that Liverpool has yet to follow suit. If the airport wants to truly improve passenger experience, adding a prayer room should be a priority. Until then, travelers looking for inclusive facilities may find themselves better served at other airports.

A nice pleasant and calming atmosphere around the airport lounge

An absolute dream compared to other airports. Parking is just outside the departures area, two minutes walk from the terminal. I have to use Disabled Assistance, just inside the main entrance, both really efficient and friendly. Security is also efficient and not at all grumpy (what a contrast with Manchester!). Cafes and retail are abundant, somewhere for everyone. I won't consider using any other airport if I have a choice.

Fabulous airport , great staff and very friendly , no trouble getting through passport control , lovely shops , and cafes and bars , far far better than Manchester airport , and 💯 less stressful .

Tried every place couldn't get a coffee, need a lot more staff

So ryan air have usually got such a bad reputation but these two exceptional members of the ryan air team at john lennon airport liverpool have totally changed my view of this. They were ever so kind very friendly and a credit to their management thank you so much Ellis James and Sue nicholls

Now all the renovations have been completed, why if given a choice would you fly from Manchester Airport when Liverpool John Lennon airport is soo much better in every way.

Easy access and parking opposite the terminal. Accessible by city bus.

Even allowing for work going on check in and security was seamless and stress free, bit surprised at getting the bus in return journey but welcome considering distance from terminal

Love this airport, quieter but nice and clean.

Flown from this airport several times and its always so easy. Much prefer this airport than Manchester. Will always check for flights leaving here before Manchester. Plenty of food and drink places to visit. Friendly staff.

Ok. As always, a plus. The free parking time is starting to be reduced from 40 to 20 minutes. It has become very crowded. In the morning hours I recommend arriving 3 hours before departure.

2 times I go through this airport and 2 times a bad experience... my flight arrives late, I spend 40 minutes at customs control and I arrive at my connection 3 minutes late, I am refused access and I am offered to go to sleep in Manchester and take another plane the next day... the queues are endless, there are not enough staff for the controls and no one wants to help you

One of the friendliest airports I’ve ever arrived into - the passport and immigration officers are polite, friendly and respectful - honestly an asset to an already beautiful city!

Arrive early and the journey through the airport is very pleasant

Going through security is the bottleneck, otherwise it's a normal airport. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Great airport, short walk either from 40 min free drop off 2 or car park. Little or no queues for security and duty free shop. Couple of restaurants and bars. Also smoking area. Great connection to favourite holiday destinations and domestic cities.
