Chung Hing in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Used take away before been very good. But last night pork ribs and rice was excellent, the rest very poor meat cut to big and tast less all tough wishy-washy duck anaemic and taste less not value for money.

Tasted good. Portion size are large Only complaint is the chips were heavily salted

❗️❗️🚫🚫The food was very grease and bland. Was not a great chinase to try. No flavour and tastless. I got the salt and peper chips and at the bottom were lots of oil. The vegetable stir fry was horrible and very greasy, and my partners beef rice and prawn stir fry, were appalling. Definitely not recommend for anybody to try it. And the prices were high for the quality of the food

This is easily St Austell best Chinese takeaway. They’re consistent with their dishes, full of flavour! As a very fussy eater (who used to live in east Asia) I don’t have a bad word to say. This evening I changed up my usual order and had the BBQ ribs- they were the biggest and juiciest ribs. Huge portions, great quality. 10/10

Worse place for Chinese food in Liverpool nasty costumer service , rude people over the phone bad taste. Will never succeed.

After many Chinese we tested chung hing. Food is not greasy like the others. Best chicken balls I've had in years. Spot on. Also we liked the free fortune cookie.

Food an service gone down hill. Receptionist didn't understand English. Driver went to wrong address so Rice n noodles was cold . Was going to give a tip but thought better of it seeing it was late .

Haven't used Chung Hing for many years, but have been there a couple of times recently and the food was great. Good portions, good value for money and waiting time was ok. Just a pain they only take cash.

Ordered £60 worth of takeaway whilst visiting family, the lady behind the counter was very friendly. I have to say it is the worse Chinese I have ever had. The shredded beef tasted fishy the prawn balls were so dry. The rice was so dry and had no flavour and the fat on the duck was unbelievable compared to other chineses i have had. Both me and partner by the evening felt sick. I don't normally right reviews but this was so bad I felt I had to as its not fair paying top money for sub standard quality in my opinion.

Best homemade pancake rolls I've ever had!

Stayed just outside the town for 4 nights, saw this take away in the daytime and went back 7pm to get some food, great info from young man taking the orders, food was ready in about 10 minutes. Still red hot when we got back to our hotel and it was great, really tasty and good portion size, we couldn't eat it all . We had sweet n sour pork, lemon chicken, spare ribs in BBQ , Singapore rice. The spare ribs were the best we'd had in years.. Went back 2 nights later and ordered 1 dish less. Again great service and great food.

Absolutely terrible service . I ordered food at 9:20PM on a Saturday night, for delivery expected arrival time was 9:50. I waited till 10.15PM and still no delivery, so I called them up for them to inform me that my order hasn’t been made as they shut at 10PM , apparently they tried to contact me to tell me. IT IS NOW TO LATE TO ORDER A TAKEAWAY AS THEY ARE ALL SHUT! IM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED IN THIER SERVICE.

We ordered for our group that were staying in sun valley and they were able to deliver right to our lodge. The crispy beef was especially good in sweet and sour sauce. They said it would take an hour and a half but they managed to get here within the hour. The quality of the food was very good and we managed to save some for the next day and it was still as good. The delivery guy arrived with smiles. We had a good experience with them

Easily the best chinese in St Ausetll. 99% of everything i have tried from here has been spot on (only thing I didn't was the batter on the chicken balls wasn't too my taste, bit dry). The prawn toast here is an inch thick with prawn! Delicious. Main reason I go here. The satay sauce is full of real peanuts, sweet & delicious. The BBQ sauce is also delicious.

First time here under new management, food was amazing, couldn't fault it at all and had several dishes! Very friendly counter staff and drivers and was even allowed to put a business card on the board on the first night 😂 we will be back, very impressed 👌

Honestly unsure if it’s from this place but 90% sure it is as me and my partner haven’t had the same meal for over 2 days apart from this and 2 hours later after eating we both felt really sick and had stomach cramps. The food wasn’t that great, chips were soggy and extremely oily, pork was bland and tasteless even with the sauce. I’d honestly avoid this place. I thought as the food hygiene rating was 5 it would be fine, I guess they received this over 2 years ago and things have probably changed.

Has always been our go to place for years until the last 12-18 months. Chicken dishes were kind of slimy, like it wasn't chicken and chips always taste rubbery like they were warmed up the night before. Now under new management I tried it again a couple of nights ago, hoping things have improved but alas they have not. Chips still have the reheated rubbery texture and chicken no different. I will not be going back.

Absolutely disgusting. We ordered spicey chips which was like a bag of soggy oil and salt and pepper chicken which was watery and gross.

Chung hing has always been my favourite Chinese takeaway,I must admit I was a little bit disappointed with my food tonight,no flavour very bland not enough seasoning .shame

Coming here for a few years and always loved the food but had one tonight and thought it was disgusting hadn't realised it had change of management really didn't like the BBQ sauce but that's mine opinion

We have been getting Chinese here for years, it wasn't perfect but the best that we found in St Austell. It has recently changed owners, we cautiously ordered last night after seeing the negative reviews. So glad we did!! All of the dishes were as good or better than before. The sauces used to be hit and miss, but they we're all lovely last night, especially the satay sauce.

Always our go to chinese but had a change of management recently so not sure what to expect. Only good changes as food was as good if not better. Slight taste alterations as you would expect but just as tasty as we had before. Food was piping hot when collected and ready when they said for collection. Friendly staff both on the phone and when at counter.

Was the best Chinese food now new owners now not very good at all foods all bland no taste and cold on collection ,shame not wasting my money here

Food and delivery service have always been excellent from this Chinese. Today my husband and I where very disappointed in the food. It’s not like we normally have. We eat from here every Sat night. I know this week it is under new ownership so obviously new chef. Well it’s no where as good as before. Young lady on the phone great. Delivery driver same. Pity the food doesn’t match. 😔

Food was nice, and we enjoyed it. The Singapore fried rice was nice and spicy with loads of veggies, prawns and pork. I'm not used to having Singapore fried rice with loads of veggies, but I did enjoy this. I love the salt and pepper ribs, very tasty and spicy, just the way I like it. The ginger chicken and fried rice was also delicious and my partner enjoyed and ate them all. I would order again from this shop if I visit St Austell again.

i go there on a regular basis to order chinese i have collected from there and the staff was very nice in the shop their polite and cheery and when u ring in to order for delivery the person at the desk is polite and friendly and the driver is exellent she is always on time to my door step never had any issues will kepep on going to that chinese wont go anywhere else for it

Down on holiday and stopping at pentewan sands and decided to try the food from this place last week and it was fantastic, now on the second week of our holidays and we have had food from here again and its superb again, well worth getting a takeaway from this place

If your hungery, you won't be disappointed and with plenty of meat in each dish.

Now my favourite as the one in Holmbush was my favourite, but since changing hands their curry isnt as good as Chung Hing's so I now use them and are my No1 for take away!

Lost of choice in St Austell for Chinese food but despite an ordinary shop window (and rather cold) the food was excellent. Green peppers in black bean sauce with King Prawns was really tasty and rice was done well. Curry was also good.

Pretty good takeaway, except the lemon chicken. Everything else was good

I really do like this Chinese, I always seam to go for the house special chow mein it's incredible lots of tender meat and noodles covered with a delicious layer of their BBQ sauce. My other family member gets the Singapore chow mein he says it's got a good spicy kick to it and always enjoys it. Overall great place for a takeaway it's worth the trip into St Austell everytime. Also they can tell you what is in your meal if you have any allergies and they can advise.

We are a family of 4 and all have difference dishes, we cannot fault any of them, plenty of meat and vegetables in each dish and tasty sauces too.

Ordered a set meal for 2 as I lost the menu for the usual place I go to and took a chance that this one would be OK. I was pleasantly surprised. Great set meal, with loads of food and not just cheap menu items. There were king prawns, ribs and no disgusting banana fritters. Excellent flavour and decent price. Might be the new regular take away from now on...

The meat was horrible and tasted like old tuff leather the prawns tasted realy fishy which was horrible and the sweet and sour sauce you could cut slices of it so it wasn't a sauce it was more like a lump of jelly terrible and prawns tasted of the veg was soggy terrible I do not recommend that you use this place ever !,drive by and keep going I'd rather eat at the golden gates than eat here and I payed 35 pound for that the price want bad but the for was terrible never again!!!

Es nuestra tradición familiar para pasar unos Disfrútelo viernes alternos chinos y siempre me ha encantado con nuestros chino más cercanas. Estaban muy ocupados hace un par de semanas así que decidimos probar el Chung Hing. Me alegro mucho de que no-teléfono respondió rápidamente, un gran pedido y entregado dentro de los 40 minutos, simplemente deliciosa comida, aún caliente. Tuvimos una gran variedad de platos y todo lo conseguimos comido. No cabe duda de que con ellos de nuevo.
