Fantastic fish and chips, outstanding price and service, 10 times better than Rockfish on the Harbour

Really good food with very friendly service by all the staff here. The foot long sausage is especially nice as are their burgers too. Massive chip portions too which is good. Now offers fresh chicken which is a good deal if you get the large bucket as it comes with a 2lt drink which is worth about £2 anyway.

absolutly dire always go here and always spot on got a new guy frying seriously needs to up his game all the chips where hard as nails fish was horrible as batter was really tough as if it was fried hours ago which it wasnt if you want to charge top price give top quality if its not right dont serve it dont rip us off more than you already are

Staff are amazing but the chips are soggy and taste like oil not as good as it has been in the past.

It was faultless, not just saying it but for me and my partner, it was the best fish and chips we have ever had. We are here on holiday and found this via Google, only 3 minute drive from our apartment. The locals are very lucky to have a place like this. I hope this review helps. Genuinely surprised! Drove here not thinking much…. And can honestly say I enjoyed my fish and chips. Chips cooked to perfection, hardly any oil remaining and the fish was delish 😋 amazing portions! Will use again.

Lush chips amazing food they even have drinks and a premier next door to it the staff are amazing and friendly and although they are always busy manage to get your food to you in 5 minutes! Prices are amazing and my family lives up the road and we always get dinner here

FANTASTIC ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Me and my family were staying in Babbacombe for a few nights, and really fancied a take away. Not knowing the area we searched for a fish and chip shop and found this place. The reviews were amazing so decided to give it a try and what can I say they were amazing. The staff were so friendly, helpful and served us with a smile and the food was gorgeous, tasty and not greasy at all! We placed a big order on Monday, and they threw in some freebies too which was so lovely of them. Will definitely re visit when we come down for a Holiday again. Thank you.

We have been coming down to Torquay for over 40 years and tried several fish and chips shops. After trying one of the alleged better chip shops in babbacombe last week we decided never again. Googled to find other shops in the vicinity, Christies jumped out with great reviews. Tonight i tried it, first thing that struck me was the lovely lady who had such a lovely personality. She kindly split the chips between the 2 boxes and even put a cross on mine because there was a bigger fish in it. but the the biggest test would be what would my missus think of them. Well she absolutely loved them and said next time we are down we will be round again. So if your are on holiday and need a good chippie this is the one. Thank you.

Best fish and chips I've ever had, massive portions for great value, very friendly staff

This is a great chippy away from the busy harbour. Called ahead to place a large order for 11 people and it was ready for collection in under half an hour. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. People running the place were great and very helpful. Would highly recommend if looking for fish and chips whilst on holiday in Torquay!

Very friendly staff , great food and very reasonable prices . Traditional menu plus lots of extras. My grandchildren say its the best fish and chip ever and they live the other side of town .

Staff were very busy but still managed to be polite and smile. Food was very good cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. Portion size was good. Large cod and regular chips enough to fill my husband. Having walked past this chippy with our dogs for the last two years it was a real treat to finally go and try it out.. Will definitely be recommending to other and will be returning again.. thanks to all staff for their hard work..

Truly amazing. I was out, looked up 'best fish & chips near me' and this was recommended. Drove there and the shop and neighbourhood didn't look particularly impressive (sorry to the residents). However, the fish and chips deserved their recommendations and then some. Best fish and chips I've had in years. Good enough to raise the local house prices. If you're not lucky enough to live locally, it's worth the journey.

I get my order from Christie's every week. And it's always been phenomenal.

I used this a few months ago in lock down..the lady that works there,coughed in her hands and carried on making my order without washing her hands.i couldnt believe it,i got my refund and left.last night i thought i would give them another chance and because it was late and close to. Me and a friend both ate from there last night and both of us had the runs this morning..avoid guys this is not a a hygeinic place.
