Chris's Fish & Chips in Thurrock

This place is great if you are looking for freshly cooked food . We had fish and ribs. Ribs were unbelievably delicious. Chips were freshly cooked , crispy and not oily at al like other shops. Would definitely go back there.

Went there for fish. Cooked fresh and crispy . Chips were amazing , friendly atmosphere. Very nice . Would definitely recommend it.

Ordered via Deliveroo at 6pm .. driver arrived to pick up at 6.25 but the food wasn’t ready for another 15 minutes . Simple order , nothing that required waiting around . Defeats the object of ordering ahead and wastes the drivers time . Ended up with a cold supper !! Won’t be back . It used to be very good .

Ordered from this place twice now. Only live 10 mins from the store takes over an hour just to deliver takeaway for a basic order. Staff rude and incompetent! Will NOT be ordering again.

Having ordered at the till tonight at 1849 I eventually got my meal at 1915 ! I appreciate it’s Friday night and busy but after a half hour wait for a chicken burger & chips plus a kebab with chilli sauce and salad I get home to a Pitts stuffed with dinner meat dripping in grease with no salad at all nor chilli sauce - not happy to say the least

The one thing I liked about this fish and chip shop was that they cooked to order. What a disappointment, first time since lockdown and they had Pre cooked all the food and boxed. The fish was Luke warm, dry and batter chewy. Don’t know if it’s been sold and only takes cash now.

A friend recommended this restaurant and I was not disappointed, I ordered and was delivered at the time given, food was hot and good size portion, none of the containers were greasy. Can't wait to order again!

ordered fish and chips from here. not real chipper chips there like oven chips you get from a supermarket. the fish is like some thing you buy from a supermarket and deep fry.very over priced. please save your money and don't use this place save your money and buy from a supermarket as what you will get is the same would not recommend this place

Great fish and chips always cooked fresh no matter what the time. Hard working staff. Will not disappoint.

Great customer service and the food was delicious! Everything was cooked fresh and to perfection. A sufficient amount of chips and I highly recommend the ribs!

Ordered saveloy and chips on arriving, was given a receipt with an order number, my number was skipped, was asked several times by various members of staff behind the counter to confirm my number, eventually after 20 minutes I was given a saveloy and chips with the explanation my order was given to another customer. Very bad service, staff are more Interested in chatting amongst themselves than serving customers.

Over priced small portions and missed things out so had to go back to get them food was cold. No apology no compensation. Don’t bother with it.

We were desperate for some good fish and chips and this place did not disappoint. The fish was crispy, the chips were soft inside, the haddock was mouthed watering and the cod to die for. Fish are super fresh! A little gem of a place. Can’t wait to visit again.

This place has changed about 3 times in 7 years but remains a good quality chippy. Has always been a little more expensive but it’s worth it for the quality. Park around the back if driving. JD Burger is recommended and great value. Large chips is super large! Also recommend their curry sauce.

Outstanding fish and chips. I’m from the North East but these are the best! Best to order by phone first though as everything is cooked fresh. Generous chip portions!

Great takeaway. Always cooked fresh so expect to wait but it's always good. Offers Kinabalu and chicken too if you don't eat fish. Probably not the cheapest but you get what you pay for.

Food always cooked fresh. Fish really good quality and portions are generous. Wish it was open later on a night, closes at 9pm which is too early.

Used this to reduce my Motoring Impact on the Area found it to be very expensive and it closed before indicated time.
