Un fabuloso café independiente con ensaladas realmente interesantes y opciones de almuerzo. Nos recomendaron llegar temprano, ya que es el primero que se sirve para las opciones de almuerzo todos los días y las cosas se acaban. Visité con mis padres y disfruté del ambiente acogedor, interiores muy simples pero comida deliciosa. Teníamos un montón de opciones de ensaladas y un poco de lasaña, y disfrutamos probando un montón de cosas diferentes.

Hidden gem in Muswell Hill serving incredibly delicious food in a charming rustic setting. We had a selection of the Ottolenghi style salads including potato, cauliflower and carrot based salads that were all full of flavour and fragrant with fresh herbs. Staff were warm and welcoming. A must visit and the best brunch and lunch spot in Muswell Hill.

Shared fews seasonal salad selection from the counter and some chickpea patties with hummus & yoghurt. I have to say that not many coffee shops in Muswell Hill where you can get fed like this place . Definitely coming back for brunch for some hot dishes , well deserves 5 stars

Quality tasty food with a bit of quirkiness. Not to forget the specialty coffee.

Such a great coffee shop. Their full English is super tasty, super good looking and super artisan. Possibly the best i’ve ever had. The decor is great and the atmosphere is really welcoming. The staff look after you wonderfully, especially Georgie. Georgie’s coffees are magnificent and made in the best coffee cups i’ve seen. I couldn’t recommend more.

It used to be great options for light lunch. Soup and salad, some delicious main dishes and cakes and breads. Take into consideration their portions are quite small but price is quite big for it's size.. When I leave the place I everytime feel I ate something small but paid a lot. For example I paid 6 pounds for a half full soup without bread. On my last visit, also their chicken was almost raw and not only this, service staff seemed quite unexperienced. Either owner changed or the chef. Definitely service has totally changed. It's pity, it used to be a great place, one of my favourite in the neighbourhood..

It has been a year since my last visit when I had one of the best vegetarian breakfasts in London AND this time I was very disappointed. The salads were really really expensive for a tiny amount of salad. I would not come back just based on the cost to food sizing (if you value your customers you would not try to rip them off so much and I am not big and I was left feeling very hungry), the corn loaf was really dry. The pear muffins were lovely.

Calm morning coffee in the summer shade, pure bliss. Friendly independent neighbourhood vibe & very helpful staff. Espresso was 10/10, quality beans. And way more affordable than the giants. Boycott St@bvx!

One of the tastiest breakfasts I had. Such a lovely and quiet place to spend your morning

So we arrived at this place after reading some recommendations. We walked in and said hello to which no one bothered to answer. We found a table and sat down, waited for about 10 minutes. The waitress passed us by at least 5 times, completely ignoring us. The passage way is very narrow and we both kept trying to make eye contact so it was a bit awkward. My husband them went to ask the girl at the counter if we should be doing it differently, she replied “oh yes, sorry, you need to order from me “ so wait a second, you see 2 ppl entering, you let them sit there for 10 minutes while you ignore them totally and you only explain when they come up and ask? It’s a tiny place, why couldn’t you just tell us? She didn’t even ask us to wait, just continued serving someone else. We left, and honestly, I don’t care how good the food supposedly is, such a stuck up unwelcoming attitude is not worth your time or money.

La camarera nos pasó al menos 5 veces, ignorándonos completamente. El camino de paso es muy estrecho y ambos seguimos tratando de hacer contacto visual, así que fue un poco incómodo. Mi esposo fue a preguntarle a la chica del mostrador si deberíamos hacerlo de otra manera, ella respondió “oh sí, lo siento, tienes que pedirme” así que espera un segundo, ves que entran 2 ppl, los dejas sentarse allí durante 10 minutos mientras los ignoras totalmente y solo les explicas cuando vienen y preguntan? Es un lugar diminuto, ¿por qué no nos lo dijiste? Ella ni siquiera nos pidió que esperáramos, simplemente continuó sirviendo a otra persona. Nos fuimos, y honestamente, no me importa lo buena que sea la comida, una actitud tan pegada y desagradable no vale su tiempo o dinero.

First time back in a while. Quirky set-up which was charming looks a bit tired now. Service is friendly but not sharp enough really. Veggie breakfast had a variety of things served in a pan which was tortuous to eat out of .. no suggestion whether I wanted toast with it (I assumed it came with it for the price but since it didn't you'd think it was pretty elementary to ask customers if they want some) - the eggs were perfectly poached tho, not something that you often find in London.

I have fond memories of eating here when I was visiting the neighborhood… Food was yummy… My kind of place… I wish I had a place like this close to me…👋😎❤️

This is a great neighbourhood cafe that's popular with the yummy mummy's for lunch. There's no set menu. Instead you get a changing selection of four salads along with a few hot dishes and fresh, interesting breads. If you're not full afterwards (the salads are quite filling) there's a selection of homemade cakes. They are most excellent.

Located in a quieter spot 7 mins walk from the centre of Muswell Hill. Has seating outside (half with shade) and also seating inside. Food was delicious and coffee good. While the service was friendly they forgot about our order (there were only 4 other customers) which they compensated with additional salad. A lady at another table asked for some tap water and they also forgot to provide that. Nice on a summer's day. £40 for 2 people.

Went here in June 2023, on a lovely sunny day, with a dog. We sat outside, where there was a mixture of sun and dappled shade. The decor is low-key shabby-chic, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, and the food was very good - we had pumpkin soup, and vegan salads. Although this is a highly recommended place, we were quite disappointed that the vegan options were limited. With a little more effort, this place could be even better.

Out of the way secret courtyard and cafe style with well balanced dishes which are homemade creative and fresh each day. A cut above the rest and enjoyable seating.

Went there for a late lunch and ordered main and 1 salad - delicious food and I can tell the freshness of the ingredients in the salad. Also a nice chill cafe with outdoor space for a good day!

My overall ratiing for this place is 3.5/5 ⭐️ . We came here for breakfast recently. I must say, their food is excellent! Fresh and high quality ingredients, their cakes are eye catching and salads very unique and tasty. But unfortunately am not able to say much more positives. Their drinks were quite average- hot cocoa was very milky and latte was nothing special. What really disappointed me though, and hence knocking off the 1.5 stars is the service and staff. Two girls- one blonde and other with brown curly hair. Their Service was so minimal, and they just did not want to be there. It was my first time here so I asked what they would recommend. They both looked at me as if I was asking for the solution to world peace or something ridiculous. One of them just shrugged me off and turned her back to me, the other just replied “depends what you like”. Which is not by any means a helpful reccomendation. This could’ve been an elevated experience and a full on 5 stars- if only staff were just a bit more polite and engaging. The most ironic part of all this though was the front door having a notice seeking to hire staff: saying that they needed energetic, polite and friendly to work there. No offence but your staff on a Sunday morning are the opposite of that. Overall, food at the end of the day is one of the most important aspects of a cafe and as stated earlier, with that I am overly content with. But eventually customer service needs to improve, otherwise this place may begin to decline.

Modest cottage style cafe tucked behind the main streets. Interiors are designed with textured wood tables and shelf and boards. A unique experience + fresh salads and hearty soups. Staff are friendly and efficient. Will return for sure

Like a low key Ottolenghi, Chriskitch is worth seeking out if you find yourself in Muswell Hill. There's a different selection of mains, salads, soups and cakes everyday. I can vouch for the quality of the chocolate cake! Oh, and there are some nice breakfast options, if you get there in the morning.

Always go there for coffee and end up eating something else. Impossible to resist. Great for work, coffee, brunch, cake and meeting up with friends. Tables inside and outside. Clean restrooms and dogs welcome outside. Delicious food!

When I go out to eat, I like prices to be displayed clearly. There is a breakfast menu outside with prices, but otherwise, nothing else. I noticed a handwritten lined sheet of paper stuck to the wall listing the names of some of the dishes on display. There was also a board to the left that detailed your meal options, such as main, main with one or two salads, etc. We didn’t want to encumber the staff member by asking what everything cost. However, we eventually discovered prices to be reasonable. We got the chicken leg, vegetable lasagna and a slice of corn bread, which amounted to £16 and some change. No drinks, just tap water. The food was enjoyable enough, although the corn bread was overly salty, even for someone as salt tolerant as myself. Tight seating arrangements. It would be difficult to dine as a group. I think there is a larger seating area outdoors, although you’d want nicer weather for that.

Beautiful nourishing mainly vegetarian and vegan dishes served in a cosy café environment. All dishes made fresh in-house were well seasoned with herbs and gentle spices. Cakes were hit and miss. My lemon drizzle was nicely zingy, whilst my wife’s chocolate, pear, and orange cake was underbaked. Our oat mochas were tasty.

I've had a Muffin and Cortado coffe,so far haven't tried that nice and fresh Muffin coffe was also very nice! Highly recommend to visit!

I take my kids nearby to the local school and this is where most parents end up for a chat and a catch-up. They serve the most wonderful wholesome food and organic juices. A hidden gem that is off the beaten track.

What a beautiful find, every mouthful was delicious, had the fritata and lasagna with side salads plus 3 types of bread (must have these) and a bottle of prosecco, great lunch with friends. Can park for free on the Rd...always a plus.

Please book well in advance as this is a very popular restaurant with select number of tables to chose from.

Stunning food, absolutely delicious!

Very tasty and healthy salads. Excellent coffee. It’s a shame that the cost of coffee is the same as chain places such as Costa or Starbucks. I paid 3.60£ for soya latte. They do delicious looking cakes however none of them are vegan. Staff members are very informative attentive and kind.

Food here is absolutely fantastic, really delicious, service is OK and I love the hanging plants and art, but the main issue I have with this place is how noisy it is, there should perhaps be a door in the kitchen as it could be so loud.. Twice me and my husband had to leave in a hurry as we couldn't even have a conversation. Otherwise a lovely place..

Back to 5 stars!! The coffee and brekky here are amazing! Pancakes are insane 🤤

Well-presented food of good quality. I wish the hot chocolate had a little more chocolate and less milk in it, but it was good anyways.

It is hard to find this place as a hidden gem. but once there they offer he best brunch in the area and we now visit there regularly.

We thought the place was great. Till we saw the chef licking his fingers, then touching food. The curtain that was the kitchen door was open and quite honestly it was disgusting. Never going again to eat there.

The food here is perfect, 24 hours later I’m still thinking about it. I’ve raved about it to everyone! I only wish I ate meat so I could have tried the sausage and bacon! Will definitely be returning

Went there for afteronon tea and scones. The restaurant was lovely. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Great place for brunch, lunch or coffee and cake. All the food we had was delicious, well seasoned with great use of spices. The salads in particular are very good. The portions are generous. My partner said they should bring out a cookbook as the food is that good! The service was good and there are plenty of seats inside and a nice seating area outside too. The coffee is excellent as well and provided by local institution Martyn's.

This cafe is great, food is brilliant and something different to usual brunch fair. Only downside is seating, outdoor furniture needs to be more comfy as it’s rather shabby at the mo and indoors are limited to tables of 2 so could use a rearrangement. Definitely worth a visit and I will be going back for sure!

Nice quiet place for a cup of coffee. A lot of choices for snacks, lunch and sweets. Lovely front garden with tables and chairs.

every time I come here the place is always 70% full, and filled with laughter. customers are mostly parents, or grandparents who talk loudly because they’re a bit deaf. the relaxed atmosphere is contagious. it’s a cafe that makes me less afraid of growing old.

Seems harsh this place isn't rated closer to 5 stars in my opinion. There are some downsides, but the food is always excellent - They are undoubtably expert cake and bread makers, and the salads are never boring. The staff are always pleasant and calm even when it gets extremely busy. One major downside is the standard of coffee. Quite strange given the care they put into the food...

Unfortunately, it's not the same place as it was before the pandemic. I think it's now under new management. I went in for a coffee and the staff were not friendly at all and looked like they didn't want to be there. This really put me off and for that reason I will not be returning.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, makes you look at salads in a different way once you’ve had one at Chriskitch. So tasty, flavoursome and filling… it is there to enjoy!

This is a very welcoming venue. the staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. Food is great also at reasonable prices. We will return soon.

Great little gem tucked away with amazing different foods but i suggest opening earlier on weekdays around 8:00-ish for the children of Fortismere to have a little spot to eat before school, would definitely increase sales

Beautiful selection of salads, only one of which wasn't vegan which was handy! My friend enjoyed her shakshuka. Gorgeous coffee there too. Would be lovely to have a vegan option in the selection of mains. Apart from that we were both impressed. Will come again!

Not the best coffee. But delicious courgette cake, and great chocolate cake. Their savoury salads and dishes are also delicious. Can get a bit too busy.

Haven't been in a while but pleased to see the place looking busy when we've walked past recently. Food was always good but not the cheapest. Pleasant experience overall, though.

Very nice atmosphere! Friendly staff and is the best food I have ever tried in North London. For all tastes. I love their vegetarian/vegan options. Everything is made from scratch. REAL COMFORT FOOD. Love to meet my friends there and have brunch in their cozy front patio.

So, I made my way up here from SW London to meet a friend. I can say it was well worth the trek. Fabulous staff. A spectacular quiche with a great dressing and salad. The coffee was good and you could tell it was a good local community.

Great price for value, best food in north London also everything is 100% made from scratch! Including the bread!. Staff is very nice and the chef is very friendly and professional.

It is too pricey for what it is. Thats the most expensive breakfast I ever had considering what I got for it. tables and chairs are uncomfortable and it was pretty noise when I was there. Not a relaxing place. I won't do this place again!

I can't believe I didn't know this cafe existed, so cosy! I liked the salad I bought and the coffee was OK. However I don't like (and I don't think it's very hygienic) to have the food exposed for everyone to talk over it and inadvertently spit on it when ordering. Food should be behind a glass counter or something!

I tried ChrisKitch for the first time last Sunday and really enjoyed it. Great fresh food. I think they do different mains on different days. I chose the Mackerel in tomato sauce and a courgette salad and both were great. Highly recommended.

Great place for brunch, lunch and in between . I come here ever Sunday and enjoy the coffee. The only problem is the loud radio 1 type music at 9 AM, people should be aware if they are coming in for reading calmly.

What a wonderful place to get a bite to eat. The food is sublime. I love the different salad combinations, flavours that tantalise the tastebuds. Everything is made fresh daily. I tend to come to get a take away box of salad for either breakfast or lunch, though sometimes I eat inside. It’s usually packed a testament to the quality of food. I find the staff are always friendly even when under pressure. I would highly recommend.

My main issue is the coffee I got for take away the other day; I got an oat milk latte and when I got to the bottom of it there were bits floating in it and I think they gave me a latte with off oat milk which made me feel a bit sick.

A mixed bag, the food is good, the coffee is average ( doesn't feel like it has kept up with the coffee trend of speciality beans and milk) but the staff are not particularly friendly. When you go up to the till it feels like there is some pressure to make a quick decision, despite the fact that a lot of the food is not on the menu but displayed.

I have visited this cafe on several occasions in the past and while the service has always been poor the place was somewhat redeemed by the quality of the food. Not today! I went for the eggs any way , two salads and their previously excellent corn bread. The salads didn’t look as fresh as previously and almost every one included chilli which may not be to everyone’s taste. The service was appalling , disinterested and slow and when my order arrived was not the salads I had ordered ( although this was rectified) None of them was good, poorly thought out combinations with little attention appearing to be paid to either flavour profile or appearance. Undercooked aubergines, unsalted cucumber etc. The previously excellent cornbread was not to put too fine a point on it -raw and inedible. Poached eggs were fine. Based on this experience I shall not be returning- rather drive the extra 10 minutes to Ottolenghi in Islington where they do it right .

The food is excellent.. The people who work there are really nice and courteous. Nice little outdoor space... Perfect for breakfast, lunch and brunch

Amazing food, great little spot but consistently bad service.

We visited this cafe for the third time this month and as usual we were faced with the same poor service. We have been greeted by the same lady each time. She has zero interest in trying to seat customers and always has the same blank response when asked basic questions. There appears to be nobody with any enthusiasm leading the staff. Its such a shame as the food is excellent. Friends who also live in the area have told us they have stopped visiting this place because of the service and we can see why.

We haven’t been to ChrisKitch for a while and used to love it, but this time we ventured no further than the front door. The entrance is crammed with people trying pay and order whilst trying to find out what’s actually for lunch, and attempting to grab a seat. The waiting staff are not in control and devoid of any kind of hospitality skills. It actually took one member of staff 3 visits to the kitchen to establish which salads had dressing on and even then it was totally unclear what the situation actually was. During the chaos we decided to leave thinking that undoubtedly the place had changed hands......but appears it hasn’t. Please get some staff front of house who actually have people skills and some gravitas!

We were meeting a friend for coffee and cake and was very disappointed, we ordered lemon drizzle cake which was stale, and my friend the carrot cake, it was stale. My husband had the chocolate cake which was delicious. We were disappointed as it was such a quirkly coffee shop.

I think this is one of the best cafes in North London as the food is better than in many restaurants, never mind cafes! Fantastic salads and baked goods that are always super fresh and change daily. Slightly out of the way location but worth seeking out.

We had a super lunch at ChrisKitch. Nice choice of salads and protein options with generous portions. Coffees and cakes were super too. A little on the pricey side but we’re likely to be back again.

I was taken there by a friend who knows it well. Lovely salads, tasty meat and huge cake. An excellent place for lunch.

I have been here 3 times now and every time the food has been of high quality, freshly made and very tasty. I have tried vegetarian breakfast and Shakshuka. The atmosphere is calm and friendly and it's nicely decorated with plants and art. the garden is great too and a rare find. It does get quite busy and you can tell staff is struggling to serve everything quickly; they have little time for a friendly chat which is a shame. Nevertheless, still one of my favourite places in London.

In charming Muswell Hill, a town of fabulous cafes, coffeeships, and patisseries, ChrisKitch stands out as the best. Fine garden-to-table ingredients artistically arranged for taste and eye candy, their delicious good is really addicting. After school drop-off at one of the local schools, we find ourselves going to “Chris’s” almost everyday. It’s gotten to the point that our friends will say meet you tomorrow, with a time, and not have to mention the place. They serve incredible breakfasts—pictured is the best yoghurt bowl anywhere. Berries jammed, Greek yogurt, and the best granola I’ve had anywhere. The Veggie Bowl has fried egg, baked beans, Houlimi cheese, chummous, baked tomatoes, avocado, “it’s Heaven” as a friend says. Often I’ll jump ahead and choose either two or three salads of the 5-6 entree salads that are artistically arranged at the counter. Rice noodles, greens with salmon, beets and soft cheese anyone?The baked goods are so incredible we have to order those too. We can’t help ourselves!!!!Go too, you’ll enjoy it.

I have visited Chriskitch on many occasions. The food and drinks. I have absolutely nothing negative to say because the food is amazing! Your staff are your biggest let down. Rude. Blunt. Anything is too difficult for them. Change them!!!!

He estado aquí varias veces, me gusta que sea un poco peculiar en la carretera principal. Comí una torta de chocolate realmente deliciosa la última vez que vine (creo que era una sin gluten) y el café es encantador. En mi caso, me decepcionó el personal, que nunca me ha parecido muy amable y no me hace sentir muy bienvenido. . . . especialmente teniendo en cuenta que hay tantas opciones en Muswell Hill con un personal encantador.

Be it vegetarian, gluten-free, freshly prepared salads or a good old dish of breakfast eggs with all kinds of bread you're after (that's my kind of thing :D ), they've got it. The staff is friendly and welcoming, really make you feel like home. I recently went there with my fiancee, had a filling, prepared with love breakfast and a great aromatic tea to top that, and there is only one thing I have to say: I will try to be there every Sunday morning, we found our ideal breakfast spot we were looking for.

Esta es la segunda vez que he visitado Chris Kitch Muswell Hill. La primera vez comí pastel que estaba seco y tasteles más un café que era muy bueno. Esta vez me puse a la lasaña de verduras, hecha con brócoli y col rizada, más una ensalada que estaba etiquetada como menta, calabacín y queso feta. El servicio era pésimo: las dos personas que trabajaban allí no podían hacer frente a las personas que venían a pagar, a tomar órdenes y a ordenar la comida. Tomó una edad y cuando llegó la lasaña estaba fría. La ensalada contenía frijoles que no estaban listados. Reacciono mal a estos y me enfermé como resultado. Mejor listado, descripción de ingredientes por favor para futuros clientes. La lasaña se veía divina y sabía horrible que era un desastre sombrío. Los 'vasos' de agua que son frascos de mermelada o vasos metálicos estaban sucios. Finalmente, la música que se estaba reproduciendo era muy alta y era música de "tienda de entrenadores". . . No es adecuado para este tipo de lugar o la clientela, en su mayoría mujeres de mediana edad cuando estuve allí. Muchos comentaban en voz baja al respecto!

Great lunch and brunch place on backstreet of Muswell Hill - fresh salads made that day and option to mix and combine with mains of the day. Always made with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Brunch and baked pastries too. Good coffee, and seating both in and outside. A find!
