Cafe Lemon in Haringey

Lovely place and very sweet staff- food was also nice - however there were quite a few fruit flies flying everywhere which just made you feel abit gross and that something was dirty or left unmanned…aside from that tho the place was pretty and I enjoyed my French toast !

Cute little place where never expected.....Peopele are so friendly and relaxed . Thoroughly enjoyed for a little coffee and sandwitch break during a long walk....

Quirky little cafe with great food and service.

Always love a trip this cafe. Great music and very friendly staff who will even take your Polaroid picture for their wall of fame. Lovely breakfast and splendid veggie burgers and sweet potato fries. I usually visit the Lemon Cafe for my morning coffee since it's conveniently on my way from home to the station. Today, when I ordered my usual coffee, I noticed the man was pouring coffee from a milk jug and reusing oat drink. I politely asked him to use fresh coffee from the machine. He seemed surprised and asked, "Isn't it fresh it is from this morning ?" I was shocked by his answer i thought he was about to correct his mistake.I explained it should be fresh from the machine, and I told him it was my last day there before walking away. As far as I know, coffee freshness can be affected once it's pulled from the machine.

Lovely atmosphere, but I'll let the picture speak for itself... Also, I visited several times, and in most instances my order was wrong (e.g. receiving the meat option instead of the vegetarian one), which is fine, but what I got now is on a new level...

A cozy little cafe in Seven Sisters with good food and I might add excellent coffee! Highly recommended.

Warm and friendly welcome at this lovely independent cafe. All day brunch and burgers were great as was the turkish latte. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Thank you!

As a person of colour it felt off-centre that most patrons were not considering the environment of 7 sisters..and that's cool - pls don't be triggered! considering this is a predominantly ethnic demographic. That being said it's a very nice place & very Hipster they obviously cook food from scratch and yes I would go again so please take the positives 🙏 Namaste

Great quality ingredients BUT I find it odd that a cup of tea was not included in the price and just a couple slices of toast. It's on West Green Road, hardly gentrified so no need for Shoreditch-esque breakfast.

The coffee here is very good. If you sit here and drink a cup of coffee, your mind will be refreshed and you will feel like you are feeling the replacement. I can say that the coffee here is very good from my experience.

I am happy that I found this cafe so nice and cozy, I ate the best Florentine eggs, and the lemonade here is delicious, the decor makes you feel like you are on a trip to Turkey and the staff is so friendly, kind, makes you feel special, I will definitely come back!!!

Had eggs benedict. The hollandaise sauce was so cold is seemed like mayonnaise and one of the eggs was overcooked to be a poached egg. Probably the kitchen was still closed and they used hollandaise sauce made the previous day which was inside the fridge

We discover this restaurant seeking to have a British breakfast. On one hand we had a perfect breakfast but on the other hand we met a lovely and friendly owner passionated by his restaurant. Thanks to him for such nice moment

First time back here in a while. Used to get a take away coffee a couple of times a week until witnessed the cook/chef (?) and the barrista laughing behind the backs of a couple of young black girls who had just ordered flat white coffees and a plate of chips each. Annoyed me as any business should be appreciated and no one looked down on! There are plenty of other local cafes if this is their view.

Have recently moved to the area, and been using this café as my remote office space, until home internet gets sorted. The owners are very polite and accommodating, the WIFI is good, food is nice, and it seems to be used by the local community. There is outside seating and tables by the window to watch the lively West Green Rd. My fav spot is by the window, warm sun on your back, soft music and I can conquer any excel sheet ! Do support this local business.

Lovely breakfast place, came to cure our hangover and left full and satisfied 🥰 paid a lot more than I usually do for a big English lol but it’s a lovely vibe and fits in well with upcoming gentrified Tottenham

Just walked out after waiting for 45 minutes and didnt even have an order taken for coffee let alone the breakfast that I was in for. While I waited I saw very slow service for others as well, they need another employee desperately for a Sunday morning. What a waste of my time.

I've had a few meals here and can strongly recommend this lovely little cafe. Great quality service with very accommodating staff and a warm, bright interior with a relaxing vibe. The food is very good quality for the price (I can recommend the wraps, all day English breakfast and the eggs Benedict - I've yet to try the lunchtime burgers but very much looking forward to). The fresh juices are very refreshing, the hot chocolate and coffees are also very good quality. And there's a good selection of cookies, cakes and pastries. I got the Lemon English breakfast and the lemonade and they were both SO good. The person at the front who I assume is the owner was so lovely and gave me such a warm welcome to the neighborhood. I will definitely be back!

Some of the best coffee and breakfast I have ever had, it was sooo good, I came back the next day. I wish we were staying in London longer so I could try other things on the menu. I highly recommend the French toast. Yummnm. Thank you Cafe Lemon for the kind hospitality and amazing lattes.

Turkish eggs were not Turkish enough, they came without proper Aleppo pepper butter (think it was vegetable oil with two brown chilli flakes in it), four pomegranate seeds that were anaemic and very small portion for the price. Very disappointed, could have made it better myself.

I ate here plenty of times, food was always great, staff is friendly and attentive. I will keep coming back.

Not the cheapest cooked breakfast, and not the biggest either, but absolutely delicious and worth every penny. The limonata is to die for and the coffee is very tasty and a class above what you would usually find in most cafés. I'll definitely be going back to treat myself.

Had a few breakfasts here. I like the venue a lot, and West Green Lane doesn't have many breakfast places, but the food is a bit so-so lately. Pity as the place is so nice.

Been cafe lemon a few times and didn’t have any issues really. But as a local I was disgusted by the food/service I received this Sunday. The food I received, considering the price gave me really harsh stomach aches and made me ill ruining my Sunday. As a local I like to support good local businesses but it’s unacceptable for £12.50 breakfast meals to be causing illness the same day of eating. The prices don’t match the standard of food and has caused illness for myself. I will not be returning again after this experience.

A cafe with a very nice and welcoming interior design that creates a great first impression, unfortunately this impression fades when you look closer. One of the staff seemed very nice, but vanished a little after I received my initial order, a cappuccino. The other staff, almost like in a good cop / bad cop scenario, was not really friendly or welcoming. When I asked him if he could clean the table, which was pretty dirty, I received a comment that there is a weird rule that one customer can't spend more than 90minutes in the place. The place was 90% empty. After looking at the wall, you notice a paper informing that per person you also need to spend at least 5£ to be seated... I initially wanted to have some food as I read good reviews about it and the menu is quite inspiring, but after taking a look at the kitchen from behind the bar, was quite disappointed by the overall dirtiness of it. And the place had been almost empty several hours prior to that, so it wasn't the consequence of an intense rush, which would be totally understandable. It was rather a sort of accumulated dirtiness that you don't want to see. And the state of the pans that were under my eyes, with the non-stick surface half erased, raised some concerns and made me change my mind about ordering food. The coffee was alright.

Always friendly, always good food whether a meal or shortbread. I also feel very safe (Covid wise) here.

I would not eat here the kitchen looks filthy and the bins are overflowing on the outside round the back of the cafe. The food I had was dripping in grease and even the lemonade I had was very bitter taste. The customer service was bad and the atmosphere was not great. Don't bother!!

I’ve been here so many time. I love food and atmosphere. It always lovely to be here to have lunch and relaxing.

I took my mum out for lunch today and thought I’d treat her by taking her here. I thought it looked like a nice little cafe but what a mistake! The food took a very long time to arrive and when it did, my mums was cold. We asked the waiter if they could warm it up but we were spoken to very rudely and felt as though we were inconveniencing them. The food was below average- it was all fatty and slimey on the outside (but somehow tasted dry?!) and we’re really not fussy at all! My poor mum could only manage a few bites it was that bad, but felt too uncomfortable to say anything after how we’d been treated earlier. To top it all off, and this is where we were really put off… upon leaving we had to weave our way through RATS scurrying all around the door. I mean, I know it’s London but the number of them was just shocking and made us really question the hygiene of the place. Maybe it’s no coincidence that we’re both feeling sick this evening… 0 STARS 0/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYBODY!!!

A lovely little cafe with really friendly staff. The food was good, however for the price I would expect a little more for my money. Having said that the food was flavourful and cooked very well. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a stand out for me though. I would definitely recommend.

A lukewarm reception during low business with only several other customers seated. Whilst waiting to be served we enjoyed the decor and well executed "lemon" theme. The menu is well printed but has an odd instruction to not stay for more then 90 mins and spend £5 or more. After the tepid entrance this made us feel a little less welcome than standard. Follow this with another warning on the barely visible default letter vomit WiFi password stating to keep use down to an hour. We ordered a peanut banana milkshake and lemonade, both of which were very nice and flavourful. Next was the food. The new special "weekend roast". We asked what was included as sides as a roast with just chips sounded odd. Turns out it was a misprint, so much for the well printed menu. The "weekend roast" consists of your choice of roast meat, sautéed potatoes and spinach with broccoli, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Wanting some sweet potato fries we asked to substitute and got a garbled reply that they cannot and do not change things out. Some vague allusion that it would be troublesome and unfair. Eventually he came back to say we ran out of chicken and they could offer regular sweet potato but not fries. Somewhat of a win but hardly easy to accommodate. Once the food arrived, overall slow for being so vacant of customers, we found it low on gravy and dry. Everything was arranged in a pile more akin to a kebab than a British roast. Experimentation is welcome but the beef we opted for was dry, likely been under a heat lamp for hours and tough. Not at all the silverside tender slices many would be familiar with. The potatoes were not crisp, just sautéed as described but not the comfort one expects in a roast. The spinach seemed to be freshly chopped but not sautéed at all. Peppers and courgettes had been added, further changing the flavour profile from British roast to barbecue. It was all edible but not delectable or inspiring for £11.95 each. For the same price I'd highly recommend Forks and Green down the road. Looking at reviews from the last 5 years, Cafe Lemon has kept it's charming appearance but lost some passion in hospitality and cooking. I hope this isn't a trend as they have had a great history, unfortunately I don't see myself being a part of it as this experience will have me avoiding anything but the lemonade. Upon paying the bill and saying our good-byes we were given a pair of complementary teas, which were absolutely lovely. I wish this establishment better days in the future.

Lovely small cafe with character and local products for sale. We arrived 1 hour before closing and asked the guy running it if he can prepare some dishes for us. He agreed and have them ready in 10 minutes. Nothing to complain about apart from the chips, if they would not use those frozen chuncy chips it would be better.

One of the best cafes in London. Their hot chocolates are amazing! Deep and rich Their fresh ingredients and cater to all dietary types are amazing too. Check out their full vegan breakfast. The staff are always super friendly too!

Whole experience brilliant from greeting to exit . Head chef has a good sense of humour and Ahck is smooth with the customer service . I had the lemon breakfast (swapped mushroom for spinach ) and my mrs had french toast . Came in for quick lunch as it was local and could not fault anything. The garden at the back is nice and peaceful , feels like your in another country . Ohhh and I had a homemade lemonade and mrs had ice latte both tasty,no complaints . Was not busy so was seen very quickly .

Oasis in the desert! Nice, cosy, arty place with a lovely garden. Best breakfast in town. Food looks as good as it tastes! Friendly staff that will treat you like a family. I will be back!

Been here a couple of times now and only have good things to say. The food is really good and staff are very friendly!

I came with my partner to have a homemade lemonade. We haven't been there before, but I always pass by, and I saw they do lemonade. We asked to have one first, just to try it, as sometimes homemade lemonades can be too sour, or too sweet. The person who served us asked us if we gonna stay long. I wasn't sure why did he asked that. So apparently, you not allowed to have just a lemonade. You have to spend more money. Even though the place was absolutely empty. Didn't feel welcome there. I always want to support local businesses, but this place not worth to spend my money. You should invest in some customer service skills!

F-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c. Didn’t know the area well, so was pleasantly surprise to find this gem of a cafe. Fresh ingredients and plenty of options for meat and vegan eaters and everything in between. The only thing is that the milkshakes were far too sweet...

This place is just plain great, but don't tell anyone.

Stopped for some coffee and some pastries, wish I had been able to stay for food and explore the garden in the back! The guy working there was very friendly and explained the entire Turkish coffee process to us. It's cozy and warm and was a very nice way to start the morning.

Lovely little café away from the hustle and bustle of West green road. Friendly service,n decor and great menu with several veggie and vegan options. Now they are open in the evening as well we'll definitely visit more often ☺️

Lovely little cafe with great food/drinks and exemplary service. Knocked one star off only because there's a maximum 90 minute stay and a £5 per customer minimum order. Not sure if this is due to covid 19 or not.

I've been coming here since Cafe Lemon opened. The reason why I came a lot at the start was the quality - for example homemade baked beans for the vegan breakfast. I was prepared to pay more for touches like that. I'm not quite sure why, but the quality isn't what it used to be any more. The vegan burger is not homemade, and is a frozen Strong Roots burger you can buy in Tesco, the buns are burger buns but advertised as brioche... overall the last meal felt disappointing. My feeling looking at the gigantic menu and looking around the cafe (which is starting to heave with the amount of clutter) is that it's trying to be a lot of things, and I can't imagine how expensive that is to the already squeezed bottom line. I think going back to its original principles of when it started of doing a few things well would help. I do hope it can return to how it was before as we did used to enjoy it very much so.
