Excellent chippy great food friendly staff.

Simply the best in Rochdale. Large portions.

Well where to start, the portion sizes of the chips was ridiculous, paid for 3 large portions and got 3 child like portions that my kid could have eaten to himself, absolutely ridiculous that is, food was cold by the time I got home and I only live 2 minutes from the place, won’t be using again in a hurry anyways, be careful people

Have used this Chinese on and off over 35 years. Haven’t been for a while so gave it a try tonight. Sorry to say the food was not great. The chips were cold, the ribs were not edible and we asked for shrimp and got prawns. Shall have to try and find a good Chinese.

Friendly enough but the food can be hit or miss. I've had the best salt and pepper chips from here but sometimes it's rubbish. Same can be said for other dishes. Prices have gone up quite a bit so no longer that cheap.

Junk food is expensive or unpalatable, and it doesn't taste good when you throw it all in the trash

Very pleasant staff. Ordered chicken balls with chips and sweet and sour sauce all excellent. They have a minimum spend of £20 for card payments

Chinese Dishes Here Are Excellent Always A Well Rounded Chippy With Peak Periods So You May Have To Wait At Busy Periods.. A Local Legend In My View As The Business May Have Changed Hands Here And There But It Really Doesn't Matter Because The Chinese Heritage Has Always Shined Bright In Hurstead ... The Prices Do Change But They Are Very Moderate And They Seem To Serve As Fast And Efficient As Possible .. Big Shout Out For Returning Fritters

Quite simply the best take out Chinese food in Rochdale. I’ve used this takeaway for years and never had a bad meal and the BBQ ribs are the best I’ve ever had. Great food, great service, lovely people.

Not a tasted gravy as nice. The chop suet roll amazing, meal in itself. Love it

Ordered beef curry and boiled rice off the special lunch menu costing £5.80. Normally served in small silver dish (curry) and portion of rice on a white tray. However, it came combined on a tray, which had about a quarter of the normal amount of curry. This deal is not so special at all and I would not recommend increasing their profits.

The BEST Chinese food this side of Beijing!

Been coming here for years but I have how ever seen a decline in the quality tonight wasn't good atall the sausages just taste of cheap cooking oil extremely greasy I couldn't eat it and the fish was not better the batter was soggy and tasted well just not nice atall and couldn't be eaten either unfortunately I think this was the last time I go here

Chips need few more minutes as they look uncooked and become soggy on way home also some staff need to listen to who there dealing with not getting involved in another conversation and messing up the order

Quality is as good as it was 20 years ago. It did drop off a bit in regards to quality in recent years.

Try the salt and pepper chips, it's very good!

Being a creature of habit I always have special fried rice from Chinese take aways, the Chop Suey House its one of the very best I've ever had!

I visited earlier tonight and was not impressed at all. First impressions I thought not bad but after not being noticed by staff after 5 minutes yet I was the only one at the counter was a joke. I wouldn't have minded too much but after waiting 20 minutes for a foo young, chips and side order when I got home it was the wrong order and cost almost £15 for bland nonsense. The fried rice had been microwaved , the chips were nothing but scraps and lets face it how difficult is it to cook an omelette?. Never again.

Love this place ordered s and s chicken lush beef chow mien gorgeous chicken fried rice delish spare ribs in bbq sauce yum spring roll loved it chips rice great - beef and broccoli in oyster sauce cos I’m on a diet - wasn’t oyster sauce poss black bean and soggy frozen broccoli- shame - all the Chinese seem to be using frozen broccoli now! Won’t order this again but the rest was A1

Went there on Friday 2nd November 2018 for a take away. Did not have to wait too long for the food. Food quality and service outstanding.

I always have the fish and chips. Fish is beautiful with a batter that is light and crispy. The chips are what I remember from my childhood. Lovely and soft and so moreish. They definitely use quality potatoes. The only problem is that it’s so popular and I wish there was a delivery service.

Had Chinese from hear and gotta say it was lovley and was red hot aswell the staff r so lovley as well would highly recommend

I order from here every single week the food is great but the best thing is the staff they are always polite even tho they are rushed off there feet and always help me out with my food when I’m carrying the baby the lady’s that serve are really easy to talk to and caring and the food is always really nice 👍

Went this evening the staff only one was wearing an overall, however she had a hooded fleece on over the top of it, the other assistant was not wearing an overall. The chaps cooking in the back bringing out food had no overalls on either they also wearing fleece tops, what kind of decent food outlet allows staff not to wear overalls ? No wonder it got zero rating for hygiene last year, it probably would be the same again ,

My vegetarian vemacelli had chicken in it which I only realised after I began to eat it. This was the second time that this happened- I was mindful but I had forgotten to ask my partner to check when he collected the order. A shame as otherwise the food is nice but I won't make the same mistake again.

Always busy, nice staff, really good service, Food is quickly cooked and overall good. chips are really nice, soft in the middle and crispy on the outside. It has a really larger chinese menu, with anything you might want

I always use this chinese takeaway its the best one for miles around. The chicken dish is my favorite. Ten pieces of chicken in batter a container of sauce and half rice half chips all for £4.80. Enough to feed two.

If you haven't had salt n pepper fish you need to try salt n pepper fish Don't go here that much but always good when I do

Chippy is ok gravy is decent but must have bad ingrediants gives me severe belly ache everytime! Go to chippylicous down the road more expensive but much better also i find this place quite dirty inside

My family love this place! Great quality food and lovely staff. They even make an off menu very fussy order for me on a regular basis. The salt and pepper chips are incredible and by far the best in the area... I've tried them all!!

Salt and pepper ribs - Chicken Chow Mein - fabulous food, clean place, lovely people. I read the reviews before going here and even checked out the health rating… Certainly wasn't a ZERO rated premises as one reviewer mentions. I took notice of the regulars that have eaten from here since the70's, 80's and more, glad I did because I will be going back to try alternatives from the menu. Loved it!

This place has been going for over 40 years, I have been coming here since i was a little kid with my dad, it has never disappoint. Have check on food safety agency website, its not a zero rating, so don't know what the other guy was talking about

Had a special curry from here on the 17th December. Very average full of oil. However the lady Claire behind the counter was very pleasant, but the owner really needs to learn how to talk to his staff very rude and abrupt.

Enjoyed another very tasty takeaway meal from here last night. Our order included fried fish - generous portion(s) of fish, nicely cooked in a lovely batter, and not greasy. Service was prompt and the staff were cheery. Have been coming to this chippy since discovering it in the early 1970s!!! The food is always good here. Some people might feel it's unusual to be reviewing a chippy but this one is well worth a mention.
