Had the BBQ ribs, and a salt pepper boxed,they were nice, new owner’s ,lovely staff and great portion sizes, I would definitely say the best and tastiest Chinese in rochdale.

Absolutely love this place. My daughter drinks the gravy from the pot when she's done! Lipsmacking

When you come in it is very clean. It has 5 stars rating. The workers treat the customers very well. And the food is very delicious. It is carefully cooked. The salt & pepper box and noodle box is very delicious.

Love this place been going since I was at school. The taste of the gravy has never changed and I love it.

Ordered two fish and one chips and curry and needless to say I've got food poisoning from the fish and so has my friend wouldn't recommend this chippy it's a shame as it used to be my go to

Best chippy going, Pie, Chips and gravy in a big round silver tray at £3.90, not only cheap but top notch quality, the gravy is something else. Chips cooked to perfection and Pies are Hollands too.

Absolutely Horrible!! I don’t know they can serve such horrible food, the salt n pepper fish had no fish in it. It was literally fried batter. I used to order this years ago and it was chunky juicy fish prices. But these were like dry prices of rocks. Majority of the pieces had no fish inside. Just pure batter. And the ones that had fish were so thin you could barley see it never mind taste. Disgraceful they can serve food like this. Disgusting!!

Personally I think rude service,it's like they're offended that you walk in and place an order , it's unfortunate we live in a society where you have to tolerate rudeness, or behaviour of that kind ,I been in this place twice and the service was exactly the same , as for food it's basic Chinese food nothing special nothing to bad ,

Really nice salt and pepper chips very crispy very nice chicken chow main best Chinese around. Don't like the gravy but everything else is perfect very helpful staff very polite. It's that nice I ordered again tonight ☺️

이 중국음식을 맛없다... Dry food is an understatement. My wife and I got chicken chow mein, I've never seen it so dry no sauce, no veg, and barely any chicken. Salt and pepper chicken went in the bin it was so hard and dry, the salt and pepper chips were stale, shriveled up and obviously left over from the day before, went straight in the bin... fried noodles weren't fried noodles they were more dried up stale chow mein noodles just without chicken. Straight in the bin. Nothing worse than a long day at work, you get food and it's that bad you have to reorder from somewhere else. My wife called in not long after they opened. If that's the quality of fresh I'd hate to order after 6 o'clock.

Food is good, service is good. Not restaurant grade as you would expect but prices have gone up so expect qualify to reflect the prices which it sometimes does not

Since this family took over this chippy it has gone to Hell! This did use to be one of the best chippies go to, this was my family's first choice. now everything is undercook or not very tasty. I mean if you cant fry chips properly then why even own one. I just wish they could higher their standards to what they used to be.

I've been coming here for a few years now and really enjoy the food. Chips well cooked, curry and gravy are very good, and the chicken fried rice is exactly how i like it. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes are on the larger side (adding to the value for money.) They do not offer delivery service so if you want it delivered you will be paying a taxi fare ontop of your order price. That doesnt bother me personally as i always ring, place my order and drive to collect. Overall i would highly recommend Hamer Chop Suey Bar as a cracking little chinese takeaway.

I had pork fried rice , it was all fried rice minute pieces of pork also very dry .

Only call to rochdale once in a while now and if we stay for tea I go here best satay ever!! Well.. i cant fault anything iv ever tried from here.. clean tidy friendly family based staff.. lived in Rochdale most of my life and still choose this asian chippy over all iv tryed over the years

Prices here are steep like most chinese takeaways, however the portion sizes are around half the size. Otherwise decent food but you can get just as good quality elsewhere and get a lot more for your money

Not been here for a while but I've never had a bad meal her I've known this place over 37 years. now the family that own it now may not appear to be the same but that's because it's over 10 years since I work in Rochdale so I've only called when passing occasionally and able to stop when there open of course .but if I lived locally to the place I'd probably use it more often ...the Chinese meals are good also ...So I suggest you just give it a try ...

We usually highly rate the food, service, everything! They must be having a really bad day today. Having received a delivery with an item missing we called to let them know, not expecting them to resend, although we had paid for it. We said to knock it off the next order. My husband was accused of trying to "rock them" for 2.10! We're honestly not that hard up! Needless to say we'll be going elsewhere from now on. Shame.

No phone or internet if on ee. Best Chinese takeaway in town though.

This chippy has been going for ages. We used to travel from Kirkholt when I was a child to come here. And that was over 30 years ago. Melt in the mouth chips; juicy thick gravy; tasty curry etc. Try their chicken curry with fried rice it's amazing. Everything that I've tried from the take away menu is also excellent.
