Decided to try this restaurant and was very pleasantly surprised. Food was 10 out of 10 and plenty of dishes to choose from. Tried the ribs and squid starters with a Malaysian prawn curry for the mains and all tasted amazing. Casual restuarant with very helpful staff and very reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back and trying some different dishes.

We had Chop Shop deliver to us as a business lunch. Had a lovely katsu curry which was full of flavour and a delicious accompanying sauce as well. The portion size was also very generous. Only feedback would be more vegetables in the curry but it was a great filling lunch.

We had a lunch delivered to our Get Living offices and it was fantastic! The Thai Green curry was full of flavour, great portion size with plenty of chicken, fresh herbs and chilli. I'm sold and can't wait to visit chop shop again! Will recommend to all.

I had the Malaysian vegan meal as part of a Get Living staff lunch. The portion size was very generous especially for a lunch meal which is a major plus. I'm typically not a tofu fan but was pleasantly surprised at the texture and size of the chunks used. The curry was well seasoned with fresh peppers and with a nice balance of spices which were not too over powering but the dish was far from bland. This is definitely a meal i'd enjoy again.

Glad there's now authentic cuisine in East Village. My favourites are the chicken katsu curry, green thai - good amounts of meat. All pleasantly filling and aromatic.

As another reviewer has said, this type of restaurant is a much needed addition to the East Village and, having been just the once, I can imagine we'll be eating here regularly so long as the food stays at this standard. A wide ranging yet simple menu of different broths, curries, noodle and rice dishes. Amazing side dishes (the broccoli and ginger is very tasty) and the chicken katsu nuggets are dangerously addictive. Good range of drink options as well with beer on tap (wish some other restaurants in the area had this rather than getting ripped off by buying bottles). They have a Nandos' style pre-pay at the desk system which probably isn't to everyone's taste but it does save waiting around for the bill once the meal is finished. Staff are all friendly and helpful, clearly taking pride in the service they're providing. As we move into the winter I struggle to think of a cold, dark evening that wouldn't be massively brightened by a visit to Chop Shop.

This was needed in Stratford, and thankfully - it's pretty damn good! Good selection, great portions, and very tasty. Staff are brilliant as well, and you can do take away or a doggy bag if you want. Been a few times now, and never been disappointed.

I’m already a regular of this place, the service is great with super friendly staff, generous portions at good prices served very quickly. Their fish curry, ribs and Vietnamese salad (oh, those prawns!) are my new weaknesses.

“Best Asian in the village” - only Asian in the village. “Pan asian”. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Beef rendang is meant to be in a rich, unctuous sauce - not watery and flavourless like it was here. Pork belly dish - burnt onion taste. Maybe our standards are too high, but definitely not our cup of tea. Sorry! Gyozas and fried breadcrumbed prawns were fine but then probably bought in and cooked as per instructions so hard to go too wrong. Perhaps by sticking to fewer dishes and getting those right, would work better. Don’t want to be too down on local businesses but couldn’t even be won over by the service.

Love love love the food and service here! Have never been disappointed and it is my go-to restaurant for Asian cuisine. Highly recommend the chicken teriyaki and prawn toasts. The cocktails are tasty too!

Great little meal at this place: I felt I needed to review in light of some unjust critique on thread. Food quality was excellent, staff came across as enjoying working there & vibe was relaxed/ fun. We had a couple of starters & mains + drinks in the evening sat outside. The venue isn’t set up to be formal sit down table service so is non pretentious/ order at the counter - food comes out when ready. Ribs were amazing 6/5 if possible! Only feedback would be Katsu Chicken could have come with more sauce given quantity of rice (although we never flagged this so a minor point). Thanks guys, we’ll come again 👍

I had South Indian meals and felt this is the best meals that I have had in east ham ever. I have had meals in most of the restaurants in east ham. But this has a homely feel and also very tasty. I am a caterer myself and was very impressed with the thali
