Great little take away, the mega bowl is all you need half rice half noodles! The food is freshly prepared in the morning and i would see and smell this on my way to work. What a delight coming here for lunch.

My family loves Chinese food. Thankfully, Liverpool has many Chinese restaurants. This is one of the better ones which I’m very glad to say. However it doesn’t best the Chinese I have had in other cities

The staff were accommodating and the service was quick and efficient. The potion size was good but I think they could reduce the amount of rice. My children did not eat the curry sauce and Mega sauce as they had chillies in them, but I enjoyed the Mega sauce. The curry sauce was not my cup of tea tasting kind of a little bitter. The chicken meat in Mega Chicken was deep-fried and the batter was nice and crispy batter but we did not like the chicken skin. I liked tofu deobbap, which I would order again if I revisit the venue. There is space to eat in and a toilet. It was bright and clean, perfect for a quick meal at an affordable price.

One of my personal favourites in Liverpool. They used to be in a tiny shoebox of a shop next door but have expanded to a small cafe, where you can sit down, and eat on the go. Only ever tried a few dishes, as I can’t steer myself away from the Mega Chicken which is delicious. Super clean establishment, caring and hard working staff. If you are passing, pick up a box of food packed with flavour, you won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic little spot with about three tables. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. Because the portions are so large, I had to take some home with me.

Walked past Chop Chop and was enticed in by the smell of the food, it was the best decision I made all day. I had the Mega Chicken and loved it. It really was tremendous. The staff are friendly and very efficient, I didn’t wait very long at all. Chop Chop is one of those places were everything on the menu sounds amazing, I’m going to enjoy trying them all.

This place came up when I was looking for restaurants near the James street station. It’s a small place with little sitting space. But the food is amazing. I ordered a crispy chicken with rice and vegetables.

What a fantastic grab and go feed. Magic chicken box with rice, veg, noodle and a spicy sauce. All for £6.50 Gutted just a flying visit as would definitely have gone back here… superb food on the go. Chicken was unreal.

This place is still awesome but I was disappointed to find that the beef bulgogi and beef bimbimbap have now been taken off the menu. Such great dishes and hope they make a comeback soon.

eating at chop chop's for the first time, a Friday evening, here for dinner. not this location though, they've currently another kitchen in the hall at the Baltic Market, across town. not sure if this is permanent, Baltic like to mix things up. I went for the katsu chicken curry, with a side of pork gyoza. overall, their food was quite tasty. the breadcrumbed chicken was very crispy, classic katsu curry sauce, with veg over the top of boiled rice. the pork dumplings, also fine, served with a dipping sauce. as I say, nice enough though pretty expensive, I thought, for what it was. N.B the food at this site is dearer than that shown on their shops menu. it filled a hole, I was hungry. would I eat there again, possible, If in the vicinity. will I be running round recommending it to all my friends, probably not.

I was with my family on Friday and we went to Chop Chop on Morrison street. We ordered their speciality dumplings and my boys and I loved the taste and flavour. The food is extremely nice and mouth - watering. Definitely will be back for more and strongly recommend to those who love Authentic Chinese food!

Work not to far from here and we always visit here at least once a month. Never get anything other than the Mega chicken as it is just so tasty and served in a box with rice or noodles.I have tried the Katsu before which was good but its Mega all the way for me.Glad that this little gem if a place has expanded and moved a few doors down so we can now also sit in to eat. The canned drinks are also a treat as not the basic brands either. Always clean and the staff are polite.

Dejado en este lugar basado en una recomendación. Parecía muy ocupado para un establecimiento tan pequeño y puedo ver por qué. Nadie cercano ofrece la comida que hacen y por un precio muy razonable. Tenía el 'Mega pollo' que consiste en arroz chino pegajoso con una salsa ligeramente dulce con un poco de patada. Rodajas de pechuga de pollo crujiente, espinacas y un poco más de salsa por encima. Esto + una botella de Pesi Max 6. 90 - muy razonable y la comida era deliciosa y un muy buen tamaño de porción. . . felizmente visitar de nuevo y creo que abren en la noche!

Nos detuvimos para almorzar un poco y quedamos muy impresionados con la comida. Simplemente un poco diferente de lo normal y tiene la sensación de un puesto de comida callejera oriental.Si se encuentra cerca de Fenwick Street, le recomiendo encarecidamente que ingrese. Came on my split shift break and had chicken katsu curry. So so good. Always been a fave meal if mine but this one is just amazing. I'd maybe prefer it spicier but the flavour is definitely there. I feel I may have to eat my way through the menu.

Great food as always had the mega chicken and the mega chicken mix perfect and so tasty restaurant quality. Best served on the dock wall in the sunshine with chopsticks

Simply the best! The chicken mega is amazing the chicken is super tasty and beautifully cooked with a crispy skin we travel from town over an hour to get home and it’s still crispy when we eat it

Good food, clean restraunt, friendly staff and close to our hotel. Manager refuse to serve a drunk in the restraunt at 10.00 and kicked him out, good on him.

Not eaten here but it’s below the hotel were we stayed. Hotel 46. Kitchen looks crammed and untidy, no EH Food rating displayed but always people in and outside waiting, food smelt good but sadly not eaten any.

Excellent value for money! We had 2 bento meals — delicious kimchi, rice, stir-fry, ‘mega’ chicken, gyozas — fresh, perfectly seasoned, moorish and generous portions. The kids had chicken katsu curry — again, huge portions — beautifully crisp panko breaded chicken and authentic mild/medium spiced curry sauce. All of it was packaged beautifully.

I work around the corner from here and have walked past a thousand times, I fancied something different for my tea while on the late shift, and just happened to be walking past here. I am never ever using another takeaway again in my life!

Very nice food my first intro to Korean but had me wanting more. Had Katsu curry very nice a lot more spice than the Japanese version.

Food is delicious in general Chicken Balls are good too and the Tofu dishes are spectacular, particularly the teryaki or the bibimbap. Sometimes the Chicken Katsu can have a small lump of fat, but this is because they cook the chicken breast whole.

Stayed in hotel to good and convenient not to use and experience the some of the menu. Open 11am close 8pm

Me gusta el Chop Chop y he estado varias veces. Siempre tendrás el pollo Katsu Curry. El curry es siempre bueno, especialmente cuando tiene zanahorias y patatas. Tried this place after reading the reviews I was there around 5 pm only one person waiting for food so I didn't have to wait long as far as the food was concerned it was very nice tried the Katsu with mega sauce and the chicken ball side I will be going back again to try other stuff from the menu I would recommend this place for something quick to eat

If you are in town and don't mind going for a take away and eat in the park, this is the place that your should go! The food is amazing and the quality is great! The couple are so nice and funny, if you don't know what to order the gentleman will kindly explain the menu if need so.

El local es apenas una cocina con una barra, por supuesto comida solo para llevar. Lo regenta un matrimonio de coreanos y la comida es excelente. Por apenas 15 libras comen dos personas y garantizo que sobra. Una opcion estupenda si quieres descansar cenando en la habitacion del hotel despues de todo el dia visitando Liverpool. Tiny shop easily missed tucked away off James St. I've walked past it several times and didn't know it was there!Well worth seeking out. Word of warning; It gets VERY busy so a long wait can be expected at peak times.Korean food is still a bit of a novelty so to find a place that is not exploiting this and just selling good, authentic Korean meals is amazing. The no frills approach is part of the charm as well. I had my Bepimbap out of the plastic tub on the steps of the Victoria monument!Great stuff, definitely going back again soon

I'm obsessed with korean food after living there and it's hard to find affordable authentic korean food in the UK. I was visiting Liverpool for the day so popped in. Quite easy to find and central. I went for bulgogi my favourite. Was definitely authentic but lacked some flavour. I asked if they had kimchi as a side dish and they didn't :( most people seemed to order the katsu with mega sauce.

Shop is only very small and always so busy but food is lovely, hot and tasty. Staff helpful can see food made while you wait.

Our first time visiting Liverpool and found this spot via TripAdvisor. So glad we did. Owned by a Korean family the food is authentic and delicious, we actually went for lunch and realised they had an evening menu too and went back to take food on the train with us home. Highly recommend. They deserve the recognition

I totally love Korean food. Mega Chicken with rice and Gyoza is my favourite and also traditional Bibimbap. The services was great and the owners are nice and friendly. Will defo go there again

Well, been dying to try this place for ages because of the rave reviews and never bothered because it looks a little unkept inside. Anyway, I finally took the plunge and ordered the mega chicken and OMG what a taste sensation - big portion, chicken was succulent, sauce was full of flavour and the rice was sticky and perfectly cooked - most definitely a hidden gem! Don't let the cosmetic exterior put you off...the food is delicious.

Tasty and cheap korean take away. A nice surprise, definitely worth trying. I had the beef bibimbap and gyoza.

Both were excellent, really tasty and big portion sizes.As others have mentioned due to the small size of the shop and the quality of the food this place gets very busy especially on Friday lunch times but it is well worth the wait

I went to Chop Chop for the first time and ordered mega chicken. It tasted so yummy! The takeaway just has a really nice cosy atmosphere and you can actually see the chef cooking right behind the counter. The food didn't take long to prepare as well! I am definitely going to come here many more times, and would highly recommend getting mega chicken!

Food here is amazing, tried numerous menus and didn't disappoint once. Great for lunch or dinner and excellent price for what you get. Portion size is big and it is freshly cooked. Chicken Katsu curry is the fave!!!!

Used to be a delight to eat their food, but seems rather tired now with the vegetables not as fresh as they used to be, less rice than before and an overcooked egg on my bibimbap. Too bad, really.

Been here so many times mainly lunch takeaway (it has no seating) ... Always fresh food and lots of it! Staff are friendly but be prepared to wait as city workers phone in lunch orders. Prices at lunch are 40-80p cheaper than evening prices. Mega chicken (crispy chicken with a sticky sweet spicy garlic sauce and vegetables) is so filling and delicious and any Ramen - top flavours. Meals come in plastic containers with fork of chopsticks as you prefer. Most meals around £5 - cash only here. I am hungry just writing this...mmmmm

Top notch, Small in size but the food certainly packs a punch. food was fantastic refreshing and flavour in every bite we cannot wait to try the rest of what the menu has to offer does not have a card machine to take cash, I had the bento with chicken, and we also had the Soup Ramen that is so tasty i cannot wait to go back again ... a hidden gem in liverpool
