Chips and gravy was absolutely disgusting I’m so pissed I didn't go eat out of a bin it would of tested nicer I will never order from here again avoid at all costs

What a shame, really disappointed, we have been coming here for 20 years plus and this evening had refried chips for the 3rd time. We've returned in hope that surely not again, but surely yes, again! when some younger members of our family just want a few chips, refried chips are the last thing you want. We could smell they were refried from the odour in the car, only to get home for it to be confirmed. will be avoiding from now on, there is georgios in Claughton village not too far away, whilst not serving Chinese meals- the chips are always fresh, amongst other items on the menu.

Hard re-heated chips and very dirty shop. The portions are small and expensive and the chefs shirts were dirty and their hands were not clean

Ordered on several occassions from this place food has always been fantastic, the fact its regularly so busy is an inidcator of how good it is.

Constantly short changes ya like the shops next door aswell, always mouldy bread stale and off, chicken tastes and looks more like a pigeon

I used to love this place, but I've order from here the last two weeks and the chips are absolutely disgusting. Burnt on the outside and hard on the inside. Wouldn't even feed them to my dog.

But now it rarely succeeds. We've ordered a few times this year and have felt let down every time and our most recent meal was the worst.It took literally an hour to arrive then when it did it was cold and every part of it was swimming in grease. There was a puddle of grease swishing around the plate and neither my Wife or I could eat it.

Have never had a complaint about this place but chose the beef chow mein last night. Not only worst meal i,ve had from this chinese takeaway but the wordt chow mein in my life from anywhere. What happened? Different chef maybe?

Fantastic food and service would recommend the shredded chilli beef or salt and pepper chicken. The food is amazing no were better. I have been coming to this place for over ten years the staff are really friendly and this is easily the best chippy on the Wirral.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken and chips. Firstly the chips were beautifully cooked dead crispy and fluffy tasted like home made chips! My sweet and sour was full to the brim of chicken, beautifully made chicken tased amazing. My partner had egg fried rice,chips and curry he couldn’t taste it cos he was ill! But I had a try and again absolutely gorgeous. Defiantly ordering again!

Used to be the best chippy around. Not sure what’s happened but it’s certainly not good. Chips are hard 9 times out of 10. Usually end up throwing more away than gets eaten.

The person who picked up the phone order was up their own backside. The food was cold and just disgusting. If you want good quality food do not go here 🤢🤢

Best food for miles. Good selection of choices on menu. Parking close by sometimes outside when the queue has gone.

Not bad chinese food, but chips are awful, i think its the spuds they use. Staff are all very friendly though.

I have been eating here a lot lately, as I'm working in the area and I have to say the quality and portion sizes of the meals is incredible! I've had 4-5 different Chinese meals, and all of them have been second to none - outstanding! Highly recommend this chip shop.

Fab Chippy great food, fast friendly service really nice staff. Good selection of meals, Chinese, burgers, kebabs all fresh and tasty. Decent prices. Chicken fried rice is the best. Delivery service is good too.

Alright food but oh god the staff are horrific when calling up to make the order. Absolutely no manners and so snotty! The two young ones are awful and need to learn how to deal with customers on the phone!

Friday evening surprise my wife with a fish and chip meal. what a mistake I made in choosing choices bar. the chips were a large portion alas so poorly cooked as to render them tasteless not even hot the fish was no better. when I arrived home and unwrapped them I just put them straight in the bin. it may have been due to it being a Friday evening but I don't see that as any excuse for such poor quality, wlll avoid in future..

Went here on a Sunday for a Chinese take away. I thought it was one of the worst Chinese meals I have had. The ribs had very little meat and not a lot of sauce. The salt and pepper wings were not very nice and the mains were bland. The only saving grace was the chips were nice. Half the meal ended up in the bin as no one wanted to eat any more

Best chippy in miles! This is such a great chip shop. It offers a really wide variety of food and it all tastes delicious! I particularly like the Char Sui Foo Young..it's divine!

I rangat 11.15pm with a 3 meal order expecting a refusal but I was pleasently surprised with a 'yes of course'reply.I then had to ask for it to be delivered as it's a 15 minute drive away.The food arrived 20 minutes later,piping hot. 3hungry testers all thoroughly enjoyed it.Portions are a healthy size.For a chippy meal this is our first choice.

Whether it be set meals, lighter bites or fish and chips, Choices never fails with the quality of its food. Never have to wait too long for delivery or in the shop. Friendly staff in a clean environment. Recommended.

Food is truly nice from Choices, I have tried many take away places around the Birkenhead area and Choices is one of my faves. I work nights so I don't get much time to prepare meals myself & cooking after a long shift is usually a no no so the delivery service is handy. The meal portions are adequate for two people and they will always make any and all changes I may request no problem. Not sure if "tedmagnum" is used to dining with the Queen Majesty herself but I think their review is way harsh, any food I've ever eaten from there is very tasteful indeed.Only down side is that it can get really busy at times so you have to wait for your order. I've discovered it's usually best to phone in advance.

I have been going to Choices Bar for many years. I have always found staff lovely and very professional. The food is fantastic. I travel to get there so that says it all. They do deliveries but its nice to call in and see how their family run business is still booming. Here's to many more year's. Rachael

Ordered a few meals for a party. Every meal tasted the same. Bland and tasteless. No spice, no seasonings, no flavour. Meat was dry and obviously the cheapest nastiest quality available.. All dried out. The sauces were like wallpaper paste with too much MSG.Only positive was that that the portions were large. But now my bin is even fuller.Tried to give the meat to my dog and he wouldn't touch it. And he eats his own s##t.Can't believe this place has good reviews. But maybe if you live off bad chippy food you get used to it.

Was recommended here by a neighbour and would recommend it to everyone. Excellent meals generous portions and the fishes are the size of a small whale. All the staff are really helpful and always accommodating

Thsi chippy is always busy beacuse it sells quality meals and has a wide variety on offer .Highy recommended

Been eating here for a while and never had any issues. Staff really nice food amazing and plenty of it..... Never had any issues.... Try this place and you won't be dissapointed..... Even ordering online the service is quick and food is hot. :) well done

Top food and service, the place looks scrubbed and cleaned constantly. Really this is what a take a away should be, and others could learn from it

Be going here for years, sometimes getting off the train at Park station and getting a treat to walk home with or even better sitting at home and getting it delivered. either way the food is always great and the service is excellent. I have treid just about everything on the menu but our favourites are the singapore vermicelli and the best sweet and sour chicken I have had.

The best chinese/fish and chip shop in the Wirral! They even do tasty donner/chicken kebabs :) The staff are always pleasant and food portions are decent. My favourite place so far, keep it up guys

Have been using for 12 months or so now.rose and mike and staff always pleasent, food brilliant, any changes to normal order catered for, extras like exra chilli sause, ect usually given at no extra charge.one of if not the best chippys in town.have done and will continue to reccomend to others.
