Literally the worst afternoon tea in my 25 years coming to London....Service was slow - despite minimal customers. Tea service allowed tea to become cold before time to drink it. Sandwiches - ?? none, as too avant-guarde a take which were cold, limp, and unseasoned. The scones were dry and tiny....clotted chocolate cream so bitter your teeth cracked. Desserts were the slight saving grace but only to look at....do not eat them. When we told the maitre d our opinion, he did nothing.

Each time I come here I always find the service to be friendly, the atmosphere elevated, and the food impeccable. Highly recommend the burrata, the truffle fries, the biryani, and the french toast. The only dish I thought was subpar was the flan (it tastes store-bought). I've had the pleasure of being served by various members of staff and they've been consistently great, but I'd like to give a special shoutout to Anwar who went out of his way to ensure our experience was top-notch.

Came here for the hot chocolate experience in particular, however, there is a minimum spend of £50pp so we also had lunch. There is a 15% service charge added on top of the bill. The vegan sandwich was ok for lunch but was very bland. The pizza was really nice though. A large bottle of water costs £7.50. The vibe of the whole restaurant is lovely and the waiters are attentive. The hot chocolate costs £18pp and you get a jug of hot chocolate and toppings including marshmallows, caramel balls and biscuits. I would recommend doing it once but would not feel the need to come back again.

after seeing so many photos of the viral hot chocolate here we decided to book a table to round off our day in the city. Upon arrival we were completely ignored by the two men at the front desk who continued to speak to each other in another language whilst completing ignoring our presence - Neither of them even looked up once to acknowledge us. After waiting 5 - 10 minutes for them to finish up what they were doing one of them looks up and finally says hello - to which I respond and start explaining that I have a booking but for some reason he strangely interrupted me halfway through to say 'how are you' in a way that could only be seen as a passive aggressive/ condescending. After explaining why I was there he simply says 'and are you happy to pay £50 each minimum spend?' I was absolutely not happy to pay this as I had not been informed about this at all at any point. (there is no mention of a minimum spend on their webpage nor on any of my booking confirmations) unfortunately my phone was dead at this point so I couldn't prove that there was no notice of this but the front desk staff just shrugged at me and said yes that's the policy its online. We then just left and got an early train home as I wasn't prepared to pay £100 for a hot chocolate funnily enough. The worst part was that we had other plans that we cancelled just to be able to make this and were treated poorly and dismissed. Furthermore I cannot fathom why there would even be a minimum spend in what is essentially a lobby bar. As someone who has stayed in Jumeirah hotels very frequently in the UAE (I have been going to the Jumeirah beach hotel since 2002 and just last month went for a drink at the burj al arab at the skybar which had a lower minimum spend than this) this was the most dissapointing and biggest let down in service I have ever experience from the brand. I am yet to find a single mention of this minimum spend policy online so either we were lied to and fobbed off or the website needs some serious updates as I imagine having to fork out 100's of extra pounds might be something you'd want to be aware of.

Wonderful - you would not regret a visit! I have been taking my niece to festive afternoon tea for 13 years - and The Chinoiserie was the best yet! We started our tea tradition with the most obvious London hotels, and while each one has been very good, The Chinoiserie was by far the best. Truly wonderful on all levels. A key ingredient was Jaime who provided excellent insight into the festive tea and curated the whole experience as a wonderful story-teller. The food wasn't just delicious, but it was original, with each item having its own uniqueness (more than we have seen previously). The theme of nature, was well thought-out and executed. The setting was just special, and the tea-room intimate. Thank you for a wonderful festive treat!

Came with my best friend for an afternoon tea and I must say I was impressed by the amazing welcoming I received. Michele guided us through each course and recommended us the best teas. I’ve been to many places but I must say it was the warmest out of all, so thank you to the stuff and we will surely come back!

After a long day of shopping and sightseeing in London, we - an exhausted bunch - knew we wanted to relax over high tea. We were already at Cadogan Gardens, so we booked a reservation at The Chinoiserie. For the four of us, it was our first time having tea time in the UK, so we didn’t know what to expect. However, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes, seated in a most comfortable setting, and served with delights second to none. The tea was heavenly, the fare even moreso. Andrea, Nicola, and Afnan provided a world-class experience, serving us with unforgettable tastes and conversations alike. High tea at The Chinoiserie is a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.

My mother and I came for afternoon tea and was welcomed by none other than Michele. He was super attentive throughout and impressively knowledgable! He made our afternoon tea quite the experience. If this was based on Michele alone, I would’ve given 10 stars without a second thought, however, the part we were most looking forward to (the scones) were too hard and dense. Overall, Impeccable service from Michele, nice food so I would recommend (unless you’re a scone lover - sorry!)

Since in London it is very easy to fall into the temptation of having an Afternoon Tea, we decided to try the new concept of The Chinoserie. Once you entered the Tea room, the atmosphere, the scent and the colors were totally relaxing. Created by Jessica Prealpato (one of the best pastry chefs in the world .. exciting !!), the menu is inspired by the botany and flora of the iconic Kew Gardens. It offers a wider experience than just eating sweets, in fact, not using sugars, every little flavor is enhanced. We really liked the chef's idea of ​​the dishes on the spot and the friendliness of Andrea and his team made us appreciate every moment of our experience !! thank you very much, we will definitely be back!

We stopped by for some coffee and desserts and we were recommended the cheesecake by Antonello. It was great choice. Antonello was great and gave us great service. Definitely recommend the place 10/10. Would come back for sure.

My husband, son and I booked "A TRIBUTE TO NATURE AFTERNOON TEA. It is a great idea and concept. The savoury food was delicious as were the scones. We hardly had room for the sweets but they were so good to miss, looked beautiful and were delicious too. The manager, Andrea was very accommodating, professional and friendly as well as all the staff in the room. The service was top class. Every member of Staff, really went the extra mile. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the attentioned service, the tasty and so well presented foods and the beautifully detailed crockery pieces, which are very luxurious, especially made for the Chinoiserie lounge, and they are also, my husband's favourite brand. We can't wait to go back there again. Thank you to everyone for providing a very excellent and professional service, for taking the time to explain the different dishes and their pairings, and to the very talented chefs for the delicious, very tasteful foods and for their amazing colours and presentations . A massive Well done and a huge thank you from the three of us.

It was nice to sit in the evening in Chinoiserie for some glasses of champagne. Manager and the supervisor (female French and Slovenian staff) were friendly and smiling. They both took so good care of customers including us.

We went here for a late light meal as we were st an event in the hotel. The restaurant is actually an area at the back of the foyer with little separation from the foyer. Decor is modern with a feature "Chinese" centrepiece. We had a sandwich and pasta and some soft drinks. The food was very tasty and couldn't be faulted but the prices were very high. I know this is Cadogan Square and Knightsbridge but nearly £20 for a sandwich is excessive and other meal courses were £30-40. 15% service was added and wasn't discretionary.

We had the James Bond afternoon tea as we were going to see the film that evening, I have stayed in jumeirah hotels in Dubai on numerous occasions and knew the service would be superb and I was right, we had a very comfortable table and the food was delicious, the roast beef on brioche sandwiches were to die for, we asked for seconds! The cakes and scones were lovely too, a great place for afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea, in particular their new ginger, mint and honey tea is superb.It can get busy but there are a range of cosy chairs which give some privacy. Breakfast is also good as the clientele are usually late starters.

A casual lounge area that serves light meals. Very sociable in the evenings, so must book a table. The hotel exudes luxury and you can be assured of the very best.
