xmas break staying at park plaza, chico latino restaurant is first clas both for evening meals and an absolutely amazing full engish breakfast and some breads pastries cereals fruit juice drinks the list is endless and I have to say hi to all the breakfast staff gold star first clas we weee treated like royalty thanks to Andeada as well she fantastically brilliant lady and can't wait to come back 12/10 defo come and see for yourself .

Absolutely stunning there is nothing we can say, beautiful food cooked to perfection and very good portion sizes. Everything was beautiful

Came here for a meal on Thursday night after a recommendation, and so glad we did! First of all there is a fantastic atmosphere, nice mood lighting and great views from the restaurant floor of leeds city centre. We ordered the sushi and the thai curry, I've been to many sushi places but this was hands down the best sushi ive ever had in leeds! Our waitress karolina was also extremely friendly, our orders were taken very quickly and she recommended the espresso martinis which were again amazing. Excellent food and service, if I could rate it higher than 5 stars I would. Will definitely be coming back again soon!!

My husband booked a table for my birthday as he knows Chino Latino is one of my favourite places to eat. We usually eat in the Nottingham restaurant and never had any issues. The exterior of the building did not look inviting and the entrance was hard to fine. Once inside we were met with an overwhelming rancid smell which made us question if we were in the right place. At the top of the stairs we were met by 2 guys and quite a lot of noise and was asked if we were here for the event!!! Definitely not as it was a speed dating event!!! We were told to go towards the bar and someone from The restaurant would seat us. We did as advised and was met by no one. After waiting a bit someone finally came over and we were seated in the very empty, cold drab restaurant, nothing like the Nottingham one. The vibe was not nice and did not feel like I was out having a special meal. Also all we could hear was the commotion from the speed dating. As this was not the experience and atmosphere we were use to in the Nottingham restaurant we decided to drink up and leave. It was my birthday treat and the place is not cheap so didn’t want to risk being anymore disappointed than we already were.

Just been here for our works Christmas party and it was fab. Karolina was amazing and very attentive. Would recommend!

What can I say! We came here last Christmas & loved it so much we returned this year. We were looked after by the lovely Karolina (both visits) who really knows how to provide an excellent service! The food was delicious as always so hats off to the chef(s)! We are already looking forward to our 2020 Christmas meal! See you then!

The evening was organised by a colleague for our Christmas meal and many of us had never been so didn't know what to expect. The venue was spotlessly clean, staff very attentive and food was great. A special thank you to karolina who was a great hostess. Will definitely be going back soon.

Great experience all round. Food was excellent especially the tempura prawns and Gyoza from the selection of starters we ordered. All the main courses were very good especially the Noodles. Malaysian Potatoes with fine green beans a great side. Look forward to our next visit.

Currently surrounded by scaffolding outside, it hardly looks welcoming. It’s upstairs too and the actual restaurant is sort of behind the bar so perhaps not immediately apparent. The bar is rather poorly supplied with draft beers, no ales or bitters for instance, only bottles. Service is typically hotel style but the food is actually quite good, well presented and served. It’s tasty but feels more hotel than restaurant food which is a shame because it’s in a great location opposite the station and, I’m sure, could do much better. It’s a convivial spot but there is better food in Leeds, very close by. Could be much better though so worth keeping an eye on.

The veggie Maki sushi was amazing - fresh & tasty. The veggie yellow Thai curry was lovely if a little on the spicy side for my taste buds. The sticky rice was cooked to perfection and the tempura on the side was a welcome addition. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. I ordered from the pre theatre menu which was great value for money. I would dine here again when I next visit Leeds.

So we booked Chino Latino after looking on the internet for a good pan Asian restaurant, it looked lively and vibrant with a great menu , I rang and booked and the lady said something about serving on the ground floor but as we are not from the area I didn’t have a clue what she was talking about , we arrived and they are situated on the first floor of a hotel but we were asked to take a seat in the ground floor hotel lobby reception bar ! We were given menus and I asked why we were not seated in the restaurant upstairs, she said ‘we don’t have many bookings today so we are just using the bar” it was dead, lifeless and had no atmosphere whatsoever, Needless to say we left.

Last weakened me and my two best friends came to visit, we order the drink G&T;, and take long time also came with long glass, and I ask can ;I have it in the better glass please; they said we used the glass for blind date! Very poor and we order the food was very poor. very very disappointed , and cost so much money. very poor quality. never come back again.

I loved the foods serve hear. Very tasty. Me and my partner both enjoyed dine hear. I recommend this. Love come back.

I took a work colleague at 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening. We had been there a few years back he was very impressed therefore i thought we would give it a try . The surroundings was not changed since 2014. We were the only ones in the restaurant to begin with than 3 more table were occupied. The nice waitress who was from Poland was extremely helpful, attentive and quick . I wish i could say the same about the food?! We ordered 4 different sushi’s as a stater to share which were average , nothing special . My colleague had a £15 burger which he couldn’t even finish ! I ordered £18 pad thia with prawns. I could only have 3 mouthful the noodles was over cooked and had an awful smell!!!! This was the worse pad thia i have ever had !!! I had to mention this to the waitress with regret who did not charge for the pad thia but charged the £3.00 extra for the prawns which was very cheeky !!!

I Visited chino Latino a few weeks back with my mum. We both agree that this restaurant is one of the best we’ve ever ate at. The food is amazing, reasonably priced and all the staff are very friendly and cannot do enough to make sure you are happy. We will definitely be returning soon!

Stayed at the Park Plaza recently and wanted a quick evening meal so went to the in house restaurant.Unfortunately I am allergic to fish and seafood which limited my choice.I had the pizza with duck and it was lovely.Felt the menu was expensive for food which was presented.Probably would not return due to menu choice.

Visited here for the first time and would definately go back and recommend this place to family and friends Food was amazing and the service from Shirley was exceptional.All the staff were so friendly and was amazing seeing lots of different food being served

Visited Chino Latino with friends and can't recommend this place enough! Food was absolutely delicious with a great selection and the staff were extremely attentive. Such a hidden gem - first floor on the Park Plaza hotel right near the station!

This was a very enjoyable meal. There's a wide variety of Asian style food and the service was very good. There's a good selection of gluten free food on offer.

We usually go to the London branch of Chino Latino but saw from social media that the Leeds branch were launching a Bottomless Brunch whilst we were in Leeds so was too good an opportunity not to book it!

Tenía un brunch encantador el sábado! Escuché sobre el Brunch sin fondo y decidí intentarlo. ¡No me decepcionó! Soy un gran fanático del sushi y los rollitos de sushi de salmón eran perfectos. Comí pollo para mi plato principal que era muy sabroso. La comida era ligera y fresca y muy sabrosa. Sin duda volveré y lo recomiendo altamente.

My girlfriends and I decided to check out the launch of the bottomless brunch and did not disappoint! With an unlimited buffet to start, sensibly sized mains and mouthwatering desserts, it’s safe to say they’ve nailed this one. On and don’t forget the flowing bubbles!

This place is not well advertised but the food was rather good, in fact. We entered via the Park Plaza Hotel, and discovered a rather empty looking bar area to the right, but received a warm welcome and a corner table with excellent view of Boar Lane. The service was quick – we had the seabass, asparagus and black bean sauce (£14) and the quinoa with sautéed vegetables (£12), with jasmine rice and eggfried rice respectively. We were happy with the portion sizes and excellent flavour, as this was mid-day and a busy afternoon ahead. There was also a “Kei Mono” Chino set menu at £30 per person, and a Rengin Chino tasting menu at £42 per person, both of which exceeded our budget. Overall, this restaurant is a bit eccentric and a tad expensive but also quite a relaxing place to have lunch or dinner.

Llegamos por un tramo de escaleras a un gran espacio vacío en el bar, nos llevaron a una mesa detrás de la zona del bar, la primera impresión fue de un lugar estilo cantina, asientos baratos y mesas astilladas, solo unas 8 personas más cenando. Pedimos comida y vino y mientras llegaba la comida, el vino no y tuvimos que perseguirlo. El bien en sí estaba bien, nada especial, la queja principal era el curry de carne que se anuncia con patatas y nueces, ninguno de los cuales era evidente.

¡Recomendaría la comida a absolutamente todo el mundo! Las cervezas de barril también son únicas y deliciosas. Tuve pato y mi amigo tenía vientre de cerdo, ambos eran increíbles. Era bastante tranquilo, pero lleno hasta la mitad al final de nuestra comida (fuimos directamente después del trabajo). El Chino Latino en Nottingham siempre está lleno, así que creo que tiene más que ver con la ubicación y el acceso, pero no me quejo porque puedo quedarme cada vez que:

Have lived in Leeds all my life and have never ventured here for one reason or another, however we went here last night on the eat Leeds week (2 courses for £10, 3 courses for £15)

The food was nothing special and there was no atmosphere in the restaurant. It was a Saturday night in the centre of Leeds and the place had only 3 tables with people. I wouldn’t come here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to others

We came here for a friends leaving meal and have to say we thoroughly enjoyed it. We decided to opt for the option of having lots of small plates to share instead of having a main each and I am so happy we did. The service was great and they brought our food out slowly so we could take our time eating it and not feel rushed which added to our experience. The calamari was my favorite by far as I have never had it cooked in that way before so would highly recommend. A special shout out to the chef (I think his name was Tom) who came out and explained the food to us, a real personal touch. I will defiantly be returning to this hidden gem which is chino Latino.

Really nice fresh nice food, beef starter and blackened cod as main were really tasty.

I’ve eaten in the park plaza riverbank one and that was outstanding from service to food to friendliness to caring staff. This one let the side down in all areas. Restaurant is designing a cold unwelcoming un infusions way. The food menu is very different and very expensive for the portion sizes you got. We ordered fillet steak and mine was hot, my partners was Luke warm at best. He didn’t complain though which he should have done. The waitress seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing and was seemingly new. We asked for napkins as there were none on the table, and when the mains arrived, we had to ask for forks. Not the kind of service you’d expect from a well established restaurant, and there was only 5 people in it at the time. So you’d think that have more than enough time to offer great service. Makes me wonder why this restaurant was quiet!

Stuck for ideas for a Saturday lunchtime 3 generations of my family tried Chino Latinos in the hope it wouldn't be as busy as more 'high street' destinations and we . Value for money wise you don['t get loads of food but over indulgence isn't what the place is about. It's ultimately fine dining although it isn't in anyway pretentious.

Phenomenal food and service! Their taquitos and curry were easily best we’ve had. Will be stopping by again if I return to Leeds someday. :)

Food and service was terrible would not recommend to anyone . The manager was very un helpful didn’t want to no once we had payed .

Visited here on a weekday evening with a friend, was looking forward to trying it.

The quality of the food was good, but the portions were too small, I would have ordered starter, main dish and dessert and I would still be hungry. I think this is not OK considering that it is quite expensive. The staff was OK but not great.

We turned up early (6.30 pm) but the main courses didn't come out until 8pm. Some of us had starters but we asked that all the food be bought out together so those only ordering a main course could eat too. This didn't happen, so those having starters felt under pressure to eat quickly.

Visited last Thursday evening after downloading a voucher from the Eat Leeds website. Great tasty food. Professional and friendly service. House white wine was a bit bland (but we did order the house wine!!) Will definitely visit again.

Staying at the hotel for work so the restaurant seemed like a good option (room service the night before was excellent) however the restaurant was very disappointing. The service and food arrival slow, the food average and then you are charged 10% service charge without prior warning - only noticed it on the bill later.

Miserable weather and both doing separate things all weekend, so we decided to go out for dinner last night (Thursday) and having weighed up all the options and never having had a bad experience there, we opted for Chino Latino.

Hemos visitado Chino varias veces latino en los últimos 7. 5 años y visita esta noche era muy pobre.

Vino en una noche de martes esperaba que servirá rápidamente. Para empezar pedimos el rollo de sushi tempura de gamba que superó las expectativas, y las vieiras a la parrilla, que eran demasiado caras en comparación.

La comida y el personal muy bueno, no hay mucho ambiente y entorno un poco cansados. La comida era muy sabrosa y Raciones calientes eran buenas, pero no lo recomendaría para una auténtica experiencia culinaria.

Perfectly cooked fish and meat. The Angus ribs are amazing - barely need to chew. Exercise caution with prosseco, it's a bit £££

We had a wonderful dinner at Chino. The restaurant is contemporary and lovely, with great views of the Thames. It's also not too big and noisy. The live music was good, but in the bar side so very unobtrusive. Walter provided us with excellent service and we selected a set menu which was great. A range of delicious bits and pieces, generous portion sizes and a lovely spread for desert. We loved that the food was different but delicious and light yet satisfying. An excellent option if you're in the area.

We ate in here while staying within the hotel and expected it to be a bit of a gimmick but actually found the food to be absolutely beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful especially in helping decide on a cocktail!Would highly recommend

I stopped in with some work colleagues when we were looking for Asian food. From when we were greeted we were very well looked after by the staff and the food was great. I had the black cod and the beef taquitos and could have had more. To top it all off we had 2 for 1 cocktails when we finished!

Visited this restaurant when attending an event here. Had lunch and then later drinks before heading into Leeds for the evening.Great space and atmosphere.

We booked this place after recalling great food from a few years ago and decided to book this for our mothers birthday. Upon arrival to receiving our drinks everything was fine. Until we started to receive our food. The kitchen couldn't handle it, the table next to us nearly left after waiting for an hour for their mains. We ordered x3 taster menu and received 2 portions of 1 dish, when raised with the waitress we were told 'thats how it is', then proceeded to tell the kitchen staff and never got back to us until we asked. They claim they have gluten free options and can make alternative for most things on the menu, until they actually serve you non-gf food. Only after checking and eating this was i told it was non-gf. When received the rest of the mains, you could tell the food was not fresh at all..... This place is a mess and I would stay well clear from it. There are far far better places to go in leeds.

The staff are extremely friendly and professional, offering table service even though we weren't eating and were just enjoying a drink. The location is amazing and the staff had good knowledge of the products they sold on the bar. Would definitely go again to see what else they offer on their cocktail menu and worth checking out the food!!!

We`ve been there last Thursday, was very quiet, the service was fast and nice.Good quality of the food, I was expecting more choice on sushi to be honest, but what we ordered was very good anyway. Good starters as well (we had edamame, spring rolls and calamari) and so the dessert (brownie).If in Leeds again, would go back.

I rarely slate a business online. I feedback directly and give them a chance. I'm making an exception here....On arrival our group were handed sticky, grubby menus. It was dinner time and I soon realised I had the lunch menu. I got it swapped when our group then realised we were still looking at different menus. Apparently there were old versions and new versions and if you check the online menu, well, that's different too.Were they just really busy? Our group of 5 doubled the number of diners at that point, so you'd think we'd get really attentive service, right? ....wrong. After 20 minutes we placed our order and got drinks. I got a tepid rose. I ordered the mushroom gyoza with kale chips and miso sauce. The gyoza were over steamed and soggy. The few pieces of kale were in no way "chips" as they were at the bottom with some broccoli. It was tasteless mush. A few more diners trickled in. That was the end of our service. No drinks to top up. And because my dinner was awful I was going to try a pudding. (Ever hopeful!) After an hour of waiting, we gave up on that idea and walked to a corner shop instead. All this for £25. I wouldn't return if it was free.

We visited Chino Latino on Wednesday evening as a mid week treat. The food is average at best, but if I'm being honest, it's really quite poor. I paid £25 for a dish of black cod which when it arrived at the table I thought it looked more like a fillet of minnow on a bed ( 4 stalks! ) of broccoli...and that was it for £25! I've had fish shop scraps with more fish content. My wife had the teriyaki salmon which was very poorly cooked and presented. As for the bar/restaurant itself it's very tired and needs to be put out of it's misery. There are much, and I mean much much better dining experiences only a very short walk away from this out of date throw back to the 90s that's neither Chino or Latino.

I absolutely loved my visit here, the food is honestly gorgeous. All the dishes were delicately put together, the sushi was a dream and I would especially recommend the Taquitos. I could have eaten all 4 to myself! It is expensive but in my eyes worth every penny. Somewhere nice to go for a special occasion.

Booked here with a Radio Aire deal. We thought at £12.50 for £50 worth of grub we couldn't go wrong. We were wrong.On arrival it was a bit of a mix up, but eventually shown to our table. First thoughts were " It's a bit chilly in here".The place was fairly empty. A plugged in fan heater was all that was to keep us warm, we heard other diners request it pointing in their direction. The main heating was broken.For starters I had Calamaris, it was a large portion but was cold. The wife had Sushi which she said was nice.For mains I had 8 oz sirloin served with chips and salad. I couldn't weigh the steak but have taken a photo next to a credit card to give an idea of size. Although rare it wasn't seared on the outside. The chips were frozen cooked in old oil, for a place that is supposed to be nice I expected more. I can honestly say that I have had nicer chips in Mc Donalds. Salad was nothing special.The wife had Salmon teriyaki. She describes this as nice but her complaint was that it was served on a cold plate. The bok choy in particular was very cold. Service in general was slow. When we asked for the bill we waited and waited and eventually decided to pay on our way out. The first bill incorrect without voucher deductions, The second bill carried a hefty service charge that we were not happy with. Third time lucky and we received a bill for £18 for the bottle of wine that accompanied our meal. We left and can honestly say that we wasted £12.50. Had we paid the full amount I would be extremely disappointed.We will never go back.

Restaurant is situated in the Park Plaza Hotel, the welcome was extremely pleasant. A wide and varied menu, the food when it arrived was excellently presented and extremely tasteful. The staff were helpful and pleasant without being overbearing.

Decent service, was a little quiet, but the food was very very nice. With the discount, it brought it down to "not cheap" - paying full price at Chino means its actually really expensive - thats probably the only reason its not busy, because the food and everything else about it is very good indeed.

Visited Chino Latino for a celebratory meal. I emailed the restaurant and liaised with Chris and Matthew. They were kind enough to personalise the menu with photos of my boyfriend and I. Not only that, when we arrived we decided to have cocktails in the bar, which were complimentary AND delicious.We then went to our table and were given a bottle of prosecco as soon as we sat down to help us celebrate! Chris was amazing, so professional, warm and friendly. The sushi was outstanding and the steak was delicious. The service we received has got to be the best I have ever witnessed. We will definitely be dining at chino Latino again!

Visited here on Friday evening it's been at least 2 years since I last visited because I felt all the passion had left the food. So glad I did I will be returning often if it's as good as this visit. It was not busy so got a table immediately I was asked if I had been here before I said I had but not for a while, I was offered a table and had a chat very warm welcome from the waiter . We chose our starters of tempura prawns squid and the scallops presentation was beautiful and the flavour did not let it down fantastic starters. Main was black cod which was probably one of the best I have had in a long while it was delicious other main was short rib of beef they served it on the bone again presentation was beautiful and it was so tender it fell off the bone we had pal choi and jasmine rice as accompaniments overall fantastic visit . The wine we ordered was not available and they were so apologetic however we had a lovely replacement if you have nt been here for a while go back and fall in love all over again we did

Stayed at the Park Plaza and made a reservation at Chino Latino. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and made sure that we had a great birthday dinner. Chris and Lou were amazing and really made our evening. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone celebrating a special event. Food was fantastic too!

Having eaten at this restaurant probably 30 times over the last 8 years, we visited it last night for a 'post-baby date night' and were very disappointed.What was once a unique, pan-asian restaurant with exceptional food has now seemingly lost its identity and serves everything from sushi to carbonara pasta, to burgers...The wine list was good and we ordered a bottle of sancere we'd had before for circa £40. Unfortunately it was not chilled when it arrived, which wasn't ideal.We ordered a selection of sushi to start along with soft shell crab, which was absolutely fantastic and reminded us of the previous exceptional visits we've had at Chino Latino. This is unfortunately where things went down hill as the following meals were poor.We ordered the calamari, which was chewy and smothered in overpowering sweet chilli sauce, the chicken wings that were bland and a far cry away from the previous 'inside-out chicken wings' they used to serve and finally the crispy duck which was also disappointing. Had we had stopped at the sushi it would have been a good night!The other thing that impacted on the evening was the music. The music was dance music and far too loud in the restaurant... it felt like we were in a night club at times and certainly failed to create the romantic/intimate ambiance Chino Latino is renowned for.We were relatively disappointed after the meal but had a long chat with the restaurant manager (Chris) who advised that the restaurant is soon to under go a refurbishment and go back to its pan-asian roots, losing the pasta and burger dishes. To be fair to Chris he was fantastic and understood our concerns which somewhat rescued the night. He also discounted our bill and advised when we go back to let him know before hand which I thought was great service. Had it not have been for him this would have been a 1 star rating, but he's certainly done the restaurant proud.This was once arguably Leeds' best restaurant but has unfortunately lost its pan-asian identity. My advice would be to visit after it has been refurbed to avoid disappointment.

We ate late and got to watch our food being prepared. It was delicious and the waitress was so cheerful and helpful with our food choice. We ordered off the menu and it was delicious.

Visited when staying in the Park Plaza and when booking parking and the restaurant I'd also mentioned it was our anniversary and the restaurant team could not have gone further to make it any more special. We had a brilliant night and the food and service was fantastic. We were brought a glass of bubbly on arrival and a delicious desert platter to share. Would definitely recommend. Thank you so much to the lovely team working on the evening of the 5th, you made our visit to Leeds fab, although we had planned to go out after but couldn't as far too full!

Came here for my friends birthday. Special mention to 'Chris' what a star he spoiled us rotten and made her birthday. Restaurant is lovely, cocktails amazing and the food !! Wow !!

We love this place and have been going to 9 years! Lovely waitress Charlotte gave us great advice on cocktails.The food was outstanding as usual!

My husband and I were trying to escape the kids for the afternoon and needed a place to eat. We'd always passed by this restaurant but had never been in. So we decided to have a late lunch (bang on 2pm). We were greeted by an empty restaurant, not realising that the lunch service closed at 2. But Karolina was a very, very gracious hostess. She asked the kitchen staff if they could accommodate us and they agreed. We were quite impressed by that and the food definitely a great climax to the whole afternoon (I'd highly recommend the fish dishes!). Reasonable prices and we'd definitely visit again.....at the right times, of course :-D. Thanks guys for a great afternoon out!

Went here Friday night with friends from work for a sushi masterclass. Very interesting and they were more than accommodating for our dietary needs. The meal afterwards was gorgeous and plentiful too and the cocktails were good with different ideas than the usual stuff.

I booked my family of 7 to do a Sushi making class on a Saturday night. The chef was outstanding, making the teenagers feel welcomed and encouraged to take part. Thry use quality ingredients, it was well paced and we got to sample many types of sushi. We learnt a lot. I agree with the other reviewers, I do not understand why this place is empty. Top food, service and nice relaxing atmosphere, Fab!

While in Leeds we needed a centrally located restaurant before going off to a concert at the university. To be honest, I didn't expect much because of its location, but I was very happy to be proved wrong. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent: my wife and I both had the sea bass which was prepared to perfection. I would have given five stars if the bar had a good pint of bitter -- in its attempts to reach a higher clientele, they forgot a have a tap with either John Smith or Tetley. Yes, I like finely prepared food, but I also love good English ale. All in all, great food, convenient location, great service. Do try.

Ate here for a birthday celebration. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and delicious.We had an assortment of starters to share and sushi. The sushi was the best i've ever tasted, well done chef!!For mains we had the Sea bass, steak on hot rocks and miso mustard chicken all excellent.Great service from Chris and Charlotte. They were both friendly and very knowledgable about the food. Great bar staff too.A wonderful experience, will definately be back.

Food was fantastic and so quick! I was given a really nice table in the window which was perfect as I was dining alone. Had miso soup, veggie sushi and vegetable tempura. Everything was delicious and beautifully served. Couldn't fault a thing from the prompt service to the attentive waiter. Brilliant

A couple of my friends had never eaten at Chino's before so decided to eat here last night. From the moment we walked in the bar the staff provided warm, friendly service. The food was amazing and any queries answered fully. Would definitely recommend!

Normally when you eatfood from the far east you are surrounded by Buddhas and waterfalls but this restaraunt has a much more sparse feel! Very large place and somewhat quiet for a Saturday evening. The cocktail bar does great drinks and if your a bit cheeky you can make your own. The food was great and I would re on end for a special occasion as it can work out quite pricey!

Excellent food, great service and all at a reasonable price - it's a real shame that it was empty. The sushi choices were fantastic and our waitress was brilliant. Maybe it's busier in the evening... I hope so.

Was staying at the Park Plaza hotel so it made sense to eat here. The food was absolutely delicious. I'd recommend the pistachio icecream for afters. Food was prompt and presented lovely. I can't fault it.Would have given it a 5 but some of the people I was dining with didn't quite get the same service as I did.

£25 2 course set menu with a glass of wine in high class hotel restaurant but I didn't feel like a captive audience.I had the salmon dragon rolls and the beef curry - my companion the prawns and tofu and minced chicken - nothing left on any plate. We had a broccoli side as they had no book choi and noodles & rice Bill including a bottle of prosecco for 3 £105.

I loved dining at the Chino Latino with my colleagues. We all had a mix of sushis and they were excellent. I loved especially the salmon nigiri which came lightly smoked. Very tasty! Will go again, if the opportunity presents itself.

Good for a bar snack or a la carte. Staff in the bar and restaurant are excellent. Bar staff enjoy a good bit of friendly banter.

I visited for an anniversary meal on a Thursday, as they accept the taste card. It was rather quiet but that didn't bother us much. We had starters of soft shell crab (excellent), prawn spring rolls and steak tataki. This is served almost blue and cold. I enjoyed it but my partner didn't. For mains we had the steak on sizzling hot rocks which I highly recommend. I also had steak fillet which was cooked more medium than medium rare as requested. The cocktails were two for one all night and they were delicious, the 'educated gringo' really packed a punch. Our waitress was lovely I can't fault her at all. The only two things I would say is that with steak, I would expect steak knifes not regular ones. They also add a service charge of about 15% to your bill, which we felt to embarrassed to have removed. Being on a bit of a budget we tip at 10% as standard. Overall it was a nice experience

Early evening meal with hubby and daughter after a long day for all of us. First thoughts were that the restaurant looked quite chic and staff were very welcoming. Unfortunately there had been a leak which had affected the heating and the restaurant was freezing (surely you could have put some cheap heaters in there!) Our waitress Charlotte did try to help by moving us to different seats but didn't help. She was though extremely pleasant and helpful. Service was quick, drinks brought and food orders taken promptly. We shared 3 starters all very tasty and good size portions averaging £7. 2 steaks and salmon for main courses, cooked as we asked, decent portions, good value for money. Overall good value for money, pleasant dining experience but spoilt by the cold and crockery and cutlery not being cleaned to the required standard ( we were offered a drink as an apology.) Would I return? Probably as service was excellent and food good although some TLC needed to raise the overall experience.

Fabulous venue, I cannot recommend Chino Latino enough for absolutely delectable food, exclusive/unique (but very comfortable) surroundings and very amiable staff. I booked a 50th Birthday party for a group of 16 colleagues so the pressure was on to choose a good venue.. it didn't disappoint! We enjoyed the 2 for 1 cocktails and sat very relaxed in the large seating area at the back of the bar where there is so much space that we completely made it our own!I For dinner we all ordered the Tasting menu which is such a perfect option for a party. The Manager accommodated our wishes wherever possible and went out of his way to make it a perfect and memorable evening for us all, particularly the Birthday Girl. I'd recommend Chino Latino for any occasion whether it's a celebration, lunch or dinner.. our crowd will definitely be visiting again!

I started with the chicken which was completely flavorless. The only taste came from the later if dressing on the plate. Chicken was not seasoned at all, no authentic Asian flavours anyway. For main I had the pork belly, which literally was just pork belly. Plate full of sliced, dry, overcooked pork belly, which again lacked any flavour besides the over sweetened sauce that didn't compliment the pork. There was no garnish present besides some cress which in my opinion is used because the chef cannot be bothered to produce a decent garnish. There wasn't even a little bit of vegetables on the plate. For my disappointing starter I waited around 20 minutes. The waitress was never present in the restaurant. And even though I left more than half of the pork didn't think to check if I was happy with the meal. Obviously not that bothered. Shall not return unless there is a huge change. Wouldn't recommend to anyone especially for the price. £35 for 2 courses a coke and coffee.

We decided to try the pan asain concept as our evening meal and am pleased to say it was an excellent choice. The food was amazing the staff was very helpfull and friendly. An all round 5star experience.

Came here for an evening meal and some drinks. The service was good and we really enjoyed our food, the sushi and mains were all tasty and nicely presented. We ordered several cocktails as it was 241, they did take a while to arrive and were decent enough but I'm glad I didn't pay full price. They sounded nicer than they tasted unfortunately, I could still taste quite a bit of alcohol in them which isn't the idea :-/ Overall I would say try it as it is a nice place even if a little pricey.

I have been to Chinos quite a few times in the past. It's tucked away on the first floor of the Park Plaza hotel. The food is always of a high, tasty standard. The menu is varied and changes every now and then so there is often something new to try. The cocktails and the bar are good, and the staff are more than happy to make drinks that aren't on the menu, or to recommend ones that you will like. The bar has a nice view of City Square and seems to be relatively unknown a little as there are always a few free seats. The only thing that dropped it down from 5-stars is that the decor was looking a little tired the last time I went, (tables needing repainting and wobbling, the pass had a crack in it, etc), granted this was a while ago and it could have changed by now and it certainly didn't take away from enjoying myself when I am there.

We tried one of the tasting menus and it was great. The food selection was fantastic and I enjoyed their cocktails very much.The staff made us feel very welcome and I would really recommend this restaurant to start your night out in Leeds.
