Chinese Chef Takeaway in Rugby

We have used this take away regularly and have done doe some time. We placed an order around 9PM then have a message to say the order is cancelled. Another person in our house then places another order and that gets cancelled. we have several conversations with the takeaway by now its 9:45. We decide to pay by cash. When asked we are told its going to take another 45mins and we decide to cancel the order. Although it looks like the issue is with the website their response to the issue is far from satisfactory IMO. This is not the first time we have had this issue

The delivery was on time and food was lovely.

I will never order from this place again food took over 2 hours to arrive by that time we had ordered elsewhere and it took 20 mins. So we cancelled the order and will need our refund. Worst customer service to top it up. The lady l spoke to was rude

Disappointed as the order was updated to delivered on time, however it was another 20minutes before it was delivered.

Food was an hour late and not very nice when it arrived. Luckily we’d already had to cook something else from the freezer which I ate instead. My wife was slightly happier with the quality of her food. All in all, was very late and not very nice and I wouldn’t use this company again.

I love this place, but the last two times have not been their best. Wrong items, food not hot on this occasion.

i asked for no veg in my rice and chow mein. i put it on the notes and i rang up, they put veg in my food. so i didn’t end up eating it i spent almost £40 on food that i didn’t eat.

No hassle collection, food was excellent

Order has not turned up after ordering at 5pm. Cannot get through to the restaurant over the phone as constantly busy. £52 spent and nothing to show for it. We went here as our usual place was not open today and will never use again

Lemon chicken sauce was disappointing, tasted like the smell of a urinal block and the chicken was hard and undercooked in parts. Vegetable chow mein was ok but didn't have much flavour. House special rice and chicken balls were good. Late delivery.

The driver mixed up the orders and while trying to sort it out, I ended up with half my order, so not happy with driver, what food I did get was great.

Partner is still waiting to collect after being there for 40 mins already. Says ready to collect on the app but not ready. Put one for the quality as haven’t actually been able to eat! Very disappointing

Placed my order at 5:27, it's now 8:07, hasn't arrived and I have no expectation at this point that it ever will. I understand that this is a very busy night but I can't get through on the phone for an update and from the look of other reviews from earlier in the year this place is a shambles and I won't be ordering from them again.

Disorganised, nobody in control. Ordered at 1815, order was supposed to be ready for collection at 1840. People were walking in off the street ordering and leaving with their order after 10 mins. No regard to service in sequence.

We order early as know there will always be a long delivery time and the order arrived when estimated! The food is always good.

Original time when ordering was 1750-1810 then changed to 1810-1830

well I asked for delivery and here yet not picked up as we all ways done delivery so I paid 40 pound for this I don't know now if ever use you again now you need to see what you do to use you again

Bang on time, delicious food, has become our favourite Chinese takeaway place. Kung po chicken is 10/10.

Said it had been delivered and never turned up, was waiting over an hour and couldn’t contact the restaurant due to them not answering the phone.

Food here is super but the delivery is awful this weekend. Tonight we’ve waited over two hours and still nothing. Unable to reach them via the app and phone line is permanently busy. Very disappointing.

Delivered really quick but possibly the saltiest thing I have ever tasted so pretty disappointed overall as we could barely eat any of it.

Use to be great but twice now the food has been appalling, bbq ribs in a thin tasteless ( not even gravy) , next time my sister was poorly after eating sweet and sour chicken

The pancake rolls weren’t as nice as I’ve had from elsewhere. Much smaller and less flavour, they weren’t very hot either. Sesame prawn toasts were over cooked. Beef curry, egg fried rice and beef chow mein were nice. Disappointed generally though, as it’s quite expensive

the app stated it was delivered when I checked at 20:30. I called the restaurant at 20:35 and was told it was on the way. It still hadn't arrived half an hour later so I called again, he said he would ring the driver and call us back, eventually rang back and said it would be 5 minutes. It was piping hot when it arrived and the driver said he'd just picked it up so no chance it was on its way when first stated. It's a shame because the food is good and we usually get good service

The food was NOT up to it's normal standards & had to return my order. I am still awaiting a reply for reimbursement on of half the order. Due to the manner of how I was spoken to by the lady over the phone, I will not be ordering from this company again.

Ordered the food through just eat tonight. Collection 20 mins, had to wait 30 mins for the food. It’s not good enough having to wait for your food when just eat say it’s only a 20 min collection. Not happy, been coming here for years. The food is amazing, but a bad experience tonight!!

Disorganised mess served cold food. Get told to come and collect at a time to then have to wait 30 minutes for your food for it then be told oh sorry it's been ready 10 mins and now half of it is cold. Wasn't even a big order. Won't be using again.

Lived in rugby my whole life (29 years) never had a Chinese like it. So fresh, the flavours were to die for. Honestly the best Chinese in rugby

the dunplings were bit burned, 3 out of 4 chow mein dish was tastless and waited for the food more than 1.5hrs from the time we ordered. delivery time slot should've been between 21:35-50 and it arrived around 22:30. called the restaurant to get information on our order and they said it's on the way already,after 15 minutes still nothing so I called again them to find out food just left not long before my second call. after all just not a pleasent experience,definitely won't order again

Moved to Rugby a few weeks ago from Birmingham and this is our local Chinese Takeaway. Fantastic! Food is always fresh and hot. Portions are generous and staff are friendly. Prawn toast is the best I’ve had in the UK! Frequenting the Chinese quarter in Brum, this take away is a GEM! Love it, love it, love it!
