Great staff, friendly and helpful. Quick service, tasty food and lots of choice too.

Visited twice the first time was my first ever visit. I ordered rice noodles with shredded duck Singapore style. It was excellent, fragrant, tasty spicy, and extremely moreish. I was most impressed! It was so good a week later I returned for the same dish and a portion of capital spare ribs. The rbs were barely edible they tasted stale and were dry and tough. They were obviously old, and an attempt had been made to freshen them up in the sickly sweet sauce, awful. At least I had the rice noodle dish to look forward to. Unfortunately, it bore no resemblance to the same dish I'd had before. Bland and insipid. Lots of noodles, very little duck. I was so disappointed. This place is obviously hit and miss. Takeaways are not cheap, but for me a n occasional treat after a hard day when energy to cook is in short supply. Regretfully, this place is inconsistent!

Extremely small portions never seen anything so perthetic for an expensive Chinese, food had pretty much no taste!! This place used to be nice now it's expensive and small portions, I've been ripped off!!

Babysitting for friends in Hockley and asked their takeaway recommendation. This was the Chinese suggestion, and it was very good to be fair. I ordered directly from them as I could not find them on Just Eat etc. Their website has a clear menu. It features 2 telephone numbers but the bottom one doesn't work. At first I could not get through, constantly engaged (it was a Saturday night) but after about 5 minutes of continuous trying I got through. Ordering was easy, and I advised that I wanted to pay card which they advised they can take at the door. They said it would be an hour or so, and it was just over an hour. It was hot and fresh. I enjoyed Chilli squid, King Prawn Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice and Broccoli and Mushrooms. All delicious and will order again when I am back in the neighborhood!

I'm not from the area but visited a friend and we had a takeaway from here. Possibly the best Chinese food I have ever eaten

This is my local Chinese takeaway and they are brilliant!! food always amazing and always hot, the staff are friendly and even address me by my first name which is nice (maybe I eat to much Chinese lol!) would highly recommend.

Had a small meal last night, was some chips curry sauce and some prawn balls., complete waste of money, chips were black, and prawn balls were just grease, wish I had taken back, but didn’t want to waste my petrol, have had take outs before and they have been getting progressively worse, but I like to support locally, won’t be supporting any more, that was my last try.

The best Chinese takeaway in Hockley. Not greasy at all, every dish ive tried from here has been amazing and the pancake rolls are phenomenal.

The last time I placed a takeaway order was in 2019, some three years ago. Tonight myself and my Partner wanted a Chinese so we ordered a takeaway, was told on the phone it would take 45 minutes to be delivered, it arrived in less than 20 minutes. The lady I spoke to on the telephone was pleasant and the lady who delivered our takeaway was polite and friendly too. The food was freshly prepared and hot and was very enjoyable. We will order further takeaways in the near future. Very good value for money too. Handy being just down the road too.

Foods delicious, we always pick it up ourselves never take longer than 15 mins to get ready and all our visitors recommend it too

Excellent, loads of comments about delivery times but come on... This is the best Chinese in the local area and is never not busy! It's got worse due to Lock down but what do you really expect. We always ask when we order how long and then decide if picking up is better suited. I think there doing a blinking great job!

Had a takeaway last night. It was ordered at 6.00. We were told it would arrive between 7.15 and 7.30. It didn't arrive until 8.20. Very disappointed with service and the food was not as good as we have had before. Would not use again.

The food is too salty, all I can taste was salt.... not health. And over priced.

Ordered crisp chilli squid. Absolutely awful all dryed up looked like pork scratching. Satay sauce tasted like curry at least a quarter of oil sitting on the top. Our first visit never again.

Very disappointing if you have a nut allergy. Was told that the cashew nuts were fried in the oil, the 1st thing they do when they open, so oil is contaminated, making all dishes a death trap if you have an allergy to nuts. Shame in this day and age, a little careful planning and they would have a much larger audience

Had a meal delivered last night and I have to say it was the best for a very long time, it was the 1st time we have used Chinese 2 Night and it wont be the last. Staff were very pleasant and efficient, the delivery was made very quickly and piping hot - delicious

I telephoned Chinese 2 Night for the first time tonight. A friendly lady took my order and within half an hour it was delivered by another friendly lady with a smile which is a rarity these days. The food was piping hot and delicious and great value for money. Will definitely order my future Chinese takeaways from this establishment. Also impressed with the 5* hygiene rating.

This was my first time trying this place, and I must say I am very impressed. The staff are amazing, and the service is second to none. we had 8 dishes, and all were absolutely gorgeous. The only negative is the chow main portions are on the small side and delivery is hard to get hold off. Apart from that it’s spot on!

I'm afraid this is one of my pet hates with both Chinese and Indian takeaways. I can't stand the cheap chicken many of them use. Although it (largely) has the taste of chicken, the pieces have the texture of mushroom and you can flatten it like paste on your plate. Had a chicken curry here but would definitely not go back. Can't comment on any of the other meats obviously

Chinese 2 Night? More like Chinese tomorrow. Waited over 2hrs for a delivery and eventually cancelled as it would have been cold. Really ridiculous excuses for the delays too.

Just moved back to ashingdon and struggled to find a decent Chinese that delivers.. after a few failed attempts we found this place and it’s by far the best Chinese we’ve ever had. Fast delivery even on weekends and the device is fantastic. Thanks again it’s so nice to of found somewhere that tastes so amazing which is local.

This is take out only. Tried for the first time a week or so again when our regular take away closed. So glad we did. Order was delivered promptly and everything was just right. Would definitely recommend them and am looking forward to placing our next order.

Slightly pricey, but portions are very large, which I'm sure would suit a meal for three or more. Good quality though, next time I'd look to reduce the amount bought as quite a bit was thrown!! One portion certainly enough for two!! Will I continue to use, definitely!!

Not only the best Chinese meal i,ve had from a "Takeaway",but from ordering on the phone to the really fast delivery this was exceptional,hope it lasts!! and not just a one-off.

Este solía ser un excelente restaurante chino, pero hemos encontrado ahora conseguir muy caro para porciones más pequeñas a menos que por supuesto, como cebollas parecen sustituir el ingrediente principal. Langostinos parecen ser libra cada una. Depende de quien sirve como para tener una bebida gratis botella que son clientes habituales y siempre pasar más de 30 libras pero no conseguir nada.

Me trasladé a El Hockley de Londres en noviembre y puedo decir que este es uno de los mejores chinos tome siempre he tenido. Normalmente la orden la carne crujiente de chili, Singapore chow mein, bolas de gambas (pedimos más para ocasiones especiales o amigos que venía) y honestamente puedo decir que nunca he sido decepcionado.

Take-Away venue.Food can be amazing....However, Price-Hike for Delivery (Outside Of Radius)....£60.00 on a Tuesday Night! Decided to look into "charge" for *said* night... Overcharged by almost £12.00. When a business says "Delivery Charge" that amounts to a £1. Didn't realise *said* £1 goes on every dish. Again... Such a Shame....

Okay food, only bad point was they don't accept card. The price was fair in relation to the quality of the food.

Food is always good and seems like natural ingredients no colourings . Chicken dishes they use good portions But don't ever complain their response is very bad not willing to help or apologise and they hang up on you !

The worst service! Pre ordered a large takeaway as had all the family round. Takeaway turned up late, when it turned up there was a dish missing and other dishes half full.I phoned them and they argued that the dishes should be like that (despite the actual menu saying it comes as large - it was about 1/6 of the foil dish full). They said they would send out the missing dish but when it didn't arrive for a while, my husband phoned them. They then said that they didn't believe us and wouldn't be delivering anymore, I just couldn't believe it.So we've now paid for dishes we've not received and now being told they don't believe us! Shocking customer service. Would not go near again

Have been here a few times now. Has been lovely food since the day they took the shop over. This time the chicken balls didn't taste that great, I guess as they are busy they have them pre prepared? However the rest of the meal was lovely as normal and the food was great. Unfortunately lost a point as no debit cards taken. Cash only.

Chinese takeaway restaurants can be really hit and miss with the food they serve, I hate it when everything is covered with a sticky orange gloop. But the food from Chinese 2 Night is always really tasty and fresh so will be my preferred choice from now on.

The staff Jacline were very helpful and always very friendly.Haven't had a meal from there that didn't make me want to eat till we popped!The service is fast and the place is clean and nice!Will be back and will recommend.

I had visited this takeaway on Sunday had a lovely meal but the customer service was appalling she gave more attention to what's going on with her mobile than to serve me ..

Food was very so-so and service terrible, with customers coming back (2 while I was in there) with wrong or incomplete orders. My order was also wrong (I checked before leaving). A shame that Law's, who were in the shop previously, left as that was a superb Chinese. This one can't compare on any level.

On the evening I went, two customers came back having not been given what they ordered. My order was wrong too (good job I checked before leaving!) and I had to wait even longer to get the right dish. The place was absolute chaos, with people standing up and having to wait ages for their orders - I have to say that this was my first visit and it's sure to be my last. Sad to say that there was a superb Chinese here before this one (Law's, who now have a restaurant in Southend) and that this place just can't compare in terms of both service and food, which was bland and unnappetising. One to avoid.

This is certainly one of the better take-aways I've been to. Everything I've had so far has been exactly to my taste. Food has always been piping hot, and not overly greasy.Highly recommended.

I regularly get take a way's from "Laws" in Hockley, note; do not mistake this with the Oriental Law . I have never had a bad meal, they deliver on time and are great value for money. I am unable to eat certain vegetables but this has never been a problem. They really know how to look after you and can cater for large numbers at quite short notice. Seriously if you want value for money, great food, good service and on time delivery look no further.
