Disgusting. Chicken balls had hairs on them! Lady is rude on the phone. Wouldn’t recommend!

Avoid, haven't eaten here in years so thought would give it another try. Absolute rubbish food, so bland no flavour in anything, chips soggy, not nice food at all and a total waste of £35!!!

Good wasn’t great at all. Hope this review doesn’t get deleted, sure it will. Soggy chicken and beef, rice was nice but who can ruin rice right? Soggy chicken chow mien with small flavour, always order from Chinese further away but thought we would try our local, out of the group of 9 of us that ordered no one would return. Need to put more effort into the food as the workers seem nice.

First time we’ve had a takeaway from here and I must say it was the best we’ve had. This will be our Chinese from now on. Service very friendly, collection only but I fine that’s better as you get to eat it when it’s hot. Delicious food all round well worth a visit.

Not been here for ages. Very busy but served quickly and having asked for a certain food to be removed, it was no trouble at all. Will return.

I've only used this place once. Owner very friendly. Bought a meal for myself and my daughter. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and will revisit.

Very disappointing just used the this evening because of reviews. The beef was chewy and stringy came the pancake roll was burnt and the prawn crackers had no taste at all. Don't recommend.😔

Midweek so didn't book, tables were available. Pizza was big - couldn't really finish it - and tasty, excellent value.

Hotel decent enough but they have closed the beefeater, the pub/restaurant is only serving a limited and I mean limited menu to hotel guests only, no draught beers or lagers only an assortment of bottled beers and spirits.....also a bit shocked from the young lady swearing like a trooper in the kitchen at another member of staff (08/10/24) sat waiting for my meal listening to the foul rants, think I'll give this place a miss in the future...I use this hotel a few times a year think I'll give its competitors a trial and hopefully their staff can keep their explicit rants to themselves.....shame really, I think whitbread are ruining the customer experience to appease it's shareholders therefore stress is put on its frontline staff, but still it's no excuse.

The Ship in Herne Bay has the kind of vibe that promises a solid pub experience, but it ends up feeling a bit uneven. I kicked things off with a pint of Whitstable Bay, which is about as refreshing as a seaside breeze, crisp and clean, hitting the spot just right. But then came the Brie and Bacon baguette—a dish that should’ve been a slam dunk but landed somewhere between good and forgettable. The flavors were there, but the baguette was a bit soggy, like it couldn’t quite decide if it wanted to be crispy or just limp. The bacon had potential, but it felt overshadowed by the cheese, and it lacked the boldness to make the combination sing. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, but overall, The Ship leaves you feeling like you’ve enjoyed a pleasant, if not entirely memorable, meal. It’s a decent stop, but you might find yourself searching for something a bit more satisfying next time.
