I always get my Chinese takeaway here, generally the food is extremely tasty and plentiful. So much better than China China!

Absolutely shocking. Waited an hour and 35 minutes for our food, ribs were all bone no meat on them, the sweet and sour chicken balls came with no sweet and sour sauce and the food has got very bad on the whole. Used to be nice, wouldn't order again

Worst take away service ever. Could have cooked myself a 5 course meal during the time they took to prepare a simple noodle dish. When we asked how much longer we should expect to wait, the person at the counter said ‘I don’t know’. Do not waste your time and money go to the golden palace.

To expensive food is cold, veg or mushrooms, and had both and I asked for chips and curry-sauce the curry-sauce was like jelly not like normal curry-sauce and it was not worth the money that I paid I’m afraid

Probably the worst takeaway I've ever been to (and believe me, I have been to hundreds of different ones in all my years on this earth). The service was unbelievably slow and the food was just horrible, chicken balls completely burnt and special fried rice bland with a weird aftertaste.

Waited over 1 hour for food to be cooked then an extra for this to be delivered. By the time it would of come it would of been 10.

Waited around 35 minutes for food, and when it did come it really wasnt very nice at all, chicken balls overcooked and rice had a strange unpleasant flavour.

Disappointing food. Fried rice dishes are bland and seem to contain small amounts of meat or prawns. Expensive

Was working all day, shattered and couldn’t be bothered to cook so ordered a Chinese from here. Ordered the food at 6:30pm and didn’t arrive until 9!!! Rang them at 8pm to be told it had just left, half an hour later, still no food! Phoned again to be told it had just left again… didn’t receive for another half an hour! So both times the lady on the phone lied! Was also extremely rude and aggressive, awful service. When the food finally got here it was disgusting, huge huge HUGE chunks of onion in the chow mien, absolutely rank. Will not be ordering from here again, absolute joke!

My boyfriend ordered a takeaway for himself and his mother. He rang and ordered at 19:10pm. The food took OVER 2 HOURS TO ARRIVE and I had to ring at 20:50pm to ask where it was. They both were starving. It eventually arrived at 21:20pm. Absolutely shocking to wait 2 hours and 15 minutes!! We thought it was never going to turn up!

Disgusting! Took over 3 hours to arrive, I called the first time I was told it’s on its way , obviously a lie called again umm it’s just left 2 minutes ago ,,, 3 time I asked is it actually coming Because you have lied twice now . Turned up at 9 pm , food was dreadful mine was just onions! Chicken fried rice had 4 peas, just slops ! Don’t waste your money honestly, I just feel angry, annoyed and hungry. Never will order from them again!

The teenage, girl that answered the phone was very aggressive she proceeded to swear at me and told ' I'm going to she is going to dip your food in mud and put maggots in your food bitch ' overall very rude staff and the food was terrible. I might take legal actions.

Telephone order placed, 30 min until I can collect. Arrived a little early just in case. Food actually came out 55 minutes after ordering. I feel sorry for the ** kids ** who are front of house. There's no management of orders from what I could see at all. They seem to just take every order possible and if people don't like waiting beyond the expected ready time then that's their problem. I don't think I saw an adult working there but definitely heard them shouting behind thr scenes. That, and a child constantly coughing whilst talking to their parents. They have potential and could be a great little take away but they need to focus on management of customers expectations. Get an adult to oversee orders coming in for goodness sake. One of the kids on the front desk actually walked out half hour early, telling one of the children "yeah tell him I'm not staying til half 9, see ya tomorrow". Him, presumably the boss, clearly has no authority. Word of mouth spreads quickly round here, I wish I'd read the reviews before ordering as after an already long day of work "fast food" was what I'd hoped for but did not receive. Food itself was hot. Beef vermicelli was very bland. Chicken curry was mostly onion and peas.

Order placed online at 730pm, still at 930pm waiting for food!! Joke is will not ordering again!!!!!

I normally collect but on this occasion i placed a telephone order at 6.15pm tonight for delivery. Chicken chow mein with fried rice and spring rolls. Was told delivery would be an hour. 7.15pm no delivery. Called at 7.45pm to ask about our order, was told by the young woman on the phone that the order was still with the kitchen. I asked how long as it was already very late. I was told another 15-30mins. I said i would like some sort of discount at that point I was told that they had run out of noodles. So they could not for fill our order anyway. No phone call to tell me. After speaking to the guy in the kitchen i was told to order something else. Sadly i had to cancel the order as i had lost all confidence by this point. Will never use again. Sadly they have lost a lot of business as a result of this and to add insult, 40mins later a delivery driver turned up at my door with the cancelled order/delivery which i refused.

Always been happy before.. youngsters serving /taking orders very rude to customers…’you have to expect late delivery…it’s Xmas eve’!! My king po chicken was dry and overcooked, my daughters honey pork was greasy/oily and went in the bin. Fair to say…won’t be going back.

We've had a few issues with China xpress before, but thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt, ordering food via their own app. It stated that the order would take 20 mins for collection, and on previous occasions, it was always longer so we didn't rush. My father went to collect and they said it would be another half hour at least before it would be ready. My Dad decided to cancel the order, and was given cash for the refund, however, the cheeky establishment kept the £2 tip which I put through on the website, despite us not having the food! So cheeky! We won't be using them again.

I always order from this Chinese, the prices are reasonable, and the food is hot and tastes lovely. The waiting times aren't bad and the delivery driver was very patient with me when my partner had gone to get some money out and wasn't back...

The food is okay, sometimes the fried rice dishes can be bland, that being said I do use this chinese went I want one due to the lack of delivery services or payment methods with other local Chinese's. Delivery time is average (45-60 minutes), never had a problem with late food. Had to amend an order once, they were happy to do it.

Ordered food was waiting for 2 hours 10 mins I refused to pay for it delivery driver pushed door into my stomach I'm 9 months pregnant and put hes foot in my property hes lucky he didn't get a punch in the mouth will never be ordering from them again !!

Food always nice, but we ordered over the phone for a 7.45pm collection and finally got our meal at 8.30pm. Not impressed as they were totally disorganized and completely unapologetic.

I was recommended this place by a friend. The online version doesn’t exist so don’t waste your time. Our order was extensive and it was ready for pick up at the allotted time. The young man who served us, very pleasant. Food hot, tasty and plenty of it. And it didn’t all taste the same!!!!! It actually tasted like western Chinese. Well done, I’ll be visiting you again. I went to china xpress coming in without placing an order, I went to the counter and asked the two young boys for some chicken balls, chips and curry sauce (poor from me Ik) contrasting the other bad reviews about the service I actually got my food quite promptly, the boys behind the counter (worldies) were very helpful in giving me advice on what sauce I should dip my chips into (OI OIIII, got curry sauce Obvs) I would gladly order a fatty delivery next time as I didn't think the service was bad on a busy day let alone on a chilled eve. No trate de ordenar en línea... el sitio web ha sido durante 10 meses... sólo... que no te lo digan, así que sentarse y esperar por más de una hora pensando quizás que están siendo lento!! Después de haber visto los comentarios sobre la comida, quizás fue una bendición disfrazada que no llega, pero no ayuda cuando pedimos algo!!!

After sending the wrong food and telling us that next time they would replace the two dishes for free, refused to do so as and rude was not the word for the girl on the phone . customer service was shocking.would never order from them again

Siempre hemos tenido nuestra llevar chino de China a pesar de los comentarios especiales Xpress que eran pobres, nuestras experiencias previas tenía siempre ha sido buena. Sin embargo, pedimos comida para llevar esta semana que era espantosa para decir lo menos. La comida era insípida y mucosa. Pedí pollo al curry y no creo que era un verdadero pollo, no sé qué era pero estaba asqueroso. Tanto mi marido como yo prácticamente toda nuestra cena y no será pedir de ellos de nuevo. ¡Qué asco.

Nos hemos mudado recientemente a la zona y thourght tener una comida china al final de la calle fue una ventaja! Por desgracia es el peor chino que hemos visitado. lo que le da una oportunidad sencond después de una Chow mein y galletas saladas muy disopointing rancios de gambas! Intentamos pollo dulce y amarga, patatas fritas y salsa de curry ! Todo lo que puedas sabor era harina en salsa curry dulce y amarga también tenía materias primas vegetales y Wad sosa! Patatas fritas algo que podías comprar desde supermercado, siento decir que dissopointed por segunda vez y ahora prepárate para coger el coche elsewear .

Not usually one for takeaways these days, had my fill when I worked all over the country. Still memories of good and bad and this was terrible. prawns in batter in some sort of inedible bright orange source. Chicken in batter in the same bright orange source with added ginger and garlic. shocking. crispy duck- probably was before it was frozen and cut beautifully to make sure we gat very little breast but not to worry as two of them were inedible Special chow mein was like playing hunt the protein. Dry and cooked in a pan that had burnt something earlier. The staff should wear stripped tops and eye masks charging those prices

Ordered a house special chow mien and some salt and chilli ribs for a treat. We normally go to daily chef but as they do not deliver decided to order from here (they used to be linked to the one in Exmouth but are not anymore)

After moving into our new home, we thought we would try a local takeaway. China Express were the only takeaway who do home deliveries so we thought we were on to a winner. Sadly we were very disappointed as the food was absolutely terrible e.g. the Satay sticks were orange sauce on beyond dry chicken, the main was a simple chicken curry which again was dry and left us feeling sick after only a few mouthfuls. I love my food but couldn't eat anymore than half of the meal. Would not recommend!
