Horrific, was told it would be an hour and 15. 90 minutes later called and was told the order hadn't even gone to the kitchen Maybe 30 minutes no guarantee. Told them to forget it.

Cold rice.duck was hard couldn't eat it . Ribs were cold and hard .chip's were cold and uneatable. Not worth the money. ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,;;

Food turned up 30 mins later- delayed due to no drivers and the driver getting fuel on the way. Food was good but cold. To be fair after complaining received a partial refund however their driver was rude when dropped off

The food here si excellent tasty & with great flavours I recommend that yoiu should try it anytime if you like Easian food

Afyer having to wait for over 2 hours the last time we ordered and not having a very nice meal, we decided to give them another go. Waited just over an hour and 40 minutes for it to be delivered and thrown at me, the driver ran back to his car and then came back and knocked as he realised he hadn't taken payment. All paid and finally sat down to eat to find the portion sizes awful I got 3 chicken balls in a pack! Ribs were awful. Another awful experience from them. Total waste of money as I've had to go out and get something else for dinner!

We ordered food at 6:30 and it’s now 20 to 10pm. Tried to call and the line was engaged. Jokers. Good bye. Get. In. The. Bin.

The food got to me cold driver probably had no heater on or window open or drove very slow to me had to reheat in microwave that was not on at all there was not much of a flavour in the meal curry sauce was very runny no taste or spice chicken had weird taste too everything very oily like someones gone heavy handed with the oil and made me feel sick had to throw most of it away shame!!! definitely not order from here again very disappointed as I've been saving up for 2/3 months for this meal as a little treat wasn't very happy due to mental health problems I can't ring up and complain or I would of rung up ask for the manger/boss to complain otherwise!!!!!!

We hadn’t had a take-away for months due to the pandemic and closure of restaurants and take-away outlets. At last, some were delivering except out favourite Chinese outlet. We found another one, online, and decided to give it a try. We ordered our usual dishes and wondered if The China Village would come up to our usual expectations. Delivery was good as it arrived within 5 minutes of our requested time. The delivery driver followed guidelines by leaving the bag on the doorstep, rang the bell and stepped back. Re-assuring for us in the vulnerable category. OK, down to the food. As I said we ordered the same as usual so a comparison with our usual 4 star service would be reasonable. Chicken satay, very watery sauce with very little peanut flavour but chicken tasty. Rice and noodles don’t vary from place to place. Chicken balls were a real PLUS. Not balls but strips in a very light batter. Delicious. Sweet and sour sauce, once again, the same anywhere. Chicken chop suey, great with wonderful well cooked, white chicken pieces. Deep fried chilli beef, once again delicious. Szechuan chilli beef, a little disappointing. Sauce very liquid and certainly not very chilli. However, the whole meal was enjoyable. Food price was similar to our other outlet but this was increased by the delivery charge. Even though the restaurant is closer they charge whereas our other outlet does not charge for deliveries within 3 miles and over £15 order. So a slight down on that one. Free prawn crackers, a plus. Also, two fortune cookies, a nice touch. Taking everything into account I would say The China Village is about half a star lower than our usual restaurant but……I’ll stick with 4 stars.

Ordered 6 items including 2 chow mein and 2 ribs. Their Chilli and Honey Ribs are the nicest I have ever tasted, sauce was moreishly delicious (although there wasn't a lot of it), the short ribs were tender with a good amount of meat. The Barbecue ribs had much more sauce but it was a bit strong. Neither of us liked the chow mein, which was tasteless and strangely mushy - I used the remains of the honey sauce to make it nice. The dumplings and Sweet and Sour chicken balls were fine. Delivery at peak time was very quick and the delivery man friendly.

Ordered at 6.30, told 100 minutes, ok but a bit long when it's less than 4 miles from us. 8.30 nothing so my Son called and they made some excuse initially about deliveroo. Then he asked if it had left, no it was in the kitchen and another 30 minutes, so basically it wasn't even cooked, he asked when it would come and it would be ready in 30 minutes, so it was a lie that it wasn't even ready, ,et alone b,are the delivery. They then said they had had so many orders, co e on you stop taking orders if you have any intelligence u til your kitchen catches up. Great birthday no food as we cancelled as we had no idea if we would be eating at midnight. Never again would we try this place, utter waste of time! No apology, shocking to lie!!! Sadly I have to give 1 star as I don't think you can give zero!!!

Best Chinese ever. Lived in Billericay until recently. had given up eating Chinese food there because of it's mediocrity. Cannot believe that we have found a Chinese restaurant again whose food is edible not to mention excellent. Friendly, polite, helpful staff.

Order for home delivery from here at least monthly, great food and very friendly delivery staff. Thoroughly recommend

well i eat chinese all the time never ever had a bad one from there place is awsome and very quick service in my eyes love it would never change

We ordered a takeaway from here as I’d heard good things. I used the ‘just eat’ to order online. It said delivery would take an hour but after I’d placed the order the restaurant changed it to an hour and a half. I don’t mind waiting for food if it’s good but this was average, nothing special. The wait was way to long. We had a good selection of food, chicken curry, chow mein, sweet and sour chicken Cantonese, chilli beef, prawn toast and ribs. The food was all nice but I probably won’t order from here again because I can get the same quality food elsewhere with half the waiting time.

We have takeaways from here regularly and this is the best one we have found so far. Not one bad meal out of maybe 40 times?? I'm not sure why the rating is so low. Delivery times, even when busy, are very good

First time we tried it food wasn't hot and quoted 45min, took 1hr20min. Food plain and bland. Put their prices up again. Better choices in town much cheaper. Avoid this place

Food turned up an hour early!! Wasn't even home! Food is stone cold! Had to warm food up! Shouldn't even be paying!!! 😡😡😡

Not so good anymore , small portions and staff that are not nice , will go somewhere else next time , used to be my favorite but today's visit was dissapp

China pueblo chino para llevar, en Fairfield Road, Braintree, ofrece una excelente selección de comida cantonesa, todos cocinados a la perfección por los propietarios y los chefs especializados. Los propietarios y personal de mostrador son muy acogedores y amables, y hasta la fecha, toda la comida que he ordenado de este establecimiento ha sido el de la más alta calidad. Los pedidos de comida pueden recogerse, pero su servicio de entrega es rápido y eficiente. Muy recomendable.
