China Town Takeaway in Canterbury

Stick to pancake rolls here. Went last night ordered Chinese chicken curry and boiled rice£9.90. Only chicken was almost edible, rice was thick lumpy like wallpaper paste bloody vile launched outside for hedgehogs n birds, honestly it was proper pants never again! Better off going to Iceland curry and rice around £4.00! Cheap and chearful and no waiting

We have tried all of herne bays chinese but this was absolutely disgusting. The moment I rang up with a rude girl answering to the pick up, we didn’t get any prawn crackers even though we spent over £70, the chicken satay was WHITE and in a bag! The duck was pink, the vegetable chow mein was made with frozen vegetable bags like the square carrots and sweetcorn you get in Iceland! We just couldn’t eat any of it. Never tried anything so bad and we never like to complain. Definitely will be staying clear and telling people to do so also!

Unfortunately we will never use or recommend again, tonight’s dinner was a shambles. The crispy duck was pink in the middle and soggy, the vegetable chow mein was made with frozen cheap packet veg, barely any sauce on the chicken satay and the prawn toast was basically fried bread.

Ordered food and waited 1 hour, everyone outside complaining about waiting, ginger girl on reception very rude. Total shambles!!

Awful service, rude receptionist. Food very disappointing. There are much better take away restaurants, go elsewhere!

Decided to order from here as it’s not far from us and was thoroughly disappointed. Crispy shredded chilli beef was so hard it nearly broke my partners tooth. Chicken satay was undercooked and barely a portion enough for two. Noodles were soggy and over cooked. Unfortunately it was very over priced for what we ordered and standard of food we received. Won’t be ordering from here agia

Very local to me, so when I haven't felt like eating and then changed my mind I can judt pop up there for an order. I have been using China Town for many many years now and have almost perfect food every time, the staff are always polite whether taking the order by phone or over the counter. Beware they can get very busy on Friday/Saturday evenings and I have been in the takeaway when I have heard that orders can be taking upto 45 minutes, but hey doesn't this tell you something? Well it does me and that is that the food is good quality and lots of people use this great Chinese, try it and I am sure you will like it.

This is the takeaway we always use. The food is always well cooked and a great menu. Normally we wait 20 minutes for the food to be ready, but that’s not long.

By far the only place for a takeaway food and service excellent. Located in Brookfield, Hawe farm way, if you are on the area China Town is the Chinese takeaway to have.

Came here tonight for a takeaway, the first time I've used it and won't be back. Chopped up watery noodles, meant to be chow mein, chicken was tough and sweet and sour sauce had no flavour. Complete waste of money. Few mouthfuls and then to the bin.

Always very polite and accommodating to my needs!!! Regularly have to order off menu for dietary needs and this is met without any problem! They are the best locally!!!

Ordered a takeaway and was told 15 minutes bang on time food was ready, haven't been here for many years since I moved away from the area. Now I have moved back I thought must give it a go. Food was hot and tasty exactly what we ordered, excellent service excellent food. Now my regular Chinese takeaway thank you.

I am in shock at how bad the standards of this Chinese was when I purchased my order tonight for the first time as it was the one first on my travels home! Noodles were soggy and wet and my chips and gravy I never seen anything like it before! Looked like they had been sitting there hours as the gravy was gloopy thick and jelly like! Will never be ordering from this Chinese again!

Telephoned my order and paid by card, chicken curry no 42 was on my order, nice delivery man came, gave him a fiver tip, no chicken curry in box but there was a curry sauce instead, rang shop, spoke to 2 women, they said I never ordered it, yes I did I even told u it was no 42, both women were rude, I had spent £42, very bad customer service, friendly delivery driver tho, I never usually moan but food was rank anyway

I fancied a bit of heat so ordered a Szechuan prawns. Very underwhelmed. No different to normal prawn dish. Not really very good. Passable as an average takeaway, but not one to go out of your way for.

Must be good for all residents its been here years, and when i have one from here is good. Not had a bad one from here so go ahead feed yourselve

Always lovely and fresh - friendly service and fast delivery - Always have seaweed, Chinese chicken curry, sweet & sour Crispy balls, Roast pork chinese style and special fried rice - ALWAYS GREAT !! XX

Chinese food for english people. Definitely missing flavour of regular Chinese food! English people clearly running the place, only use again if desperate!

Our local Chinese, lovely food can't fault. Do deliver sometimes, but think when quite in week collection only.

This place used to be nice and very friendly.Now the food is well below average and the ridiculously chavy girls that serve you and call out "ere y'are" when your food is ready really didn't make anyone feel welcome. Give it a miss if you can.Also I think someone should call the RSPCA regarding the fish in the fish tank.
