Rude customer service when ordering takeaway, food was awful slimy beef burnt rice wouldn’t recommend

Just ordered for my family had to bin the lot wouldn't feed it to my dog let alone family not happy 1 bit feel to go to the shop myself and have a few words

honesty one of the best, friendliest chinese restraunts in northampton. and they have very quickly become my go-to. they're also always very quick.

Food good but if ordering sweet and sour check order before leaving and new owners now short changing compared to new menu. Should have had 12 items got 10. If l use them again will not pay until l gave checked order

Very good food and fast delivery

First order under the new management, which is wasn't aware of, and won't be going back. Food nowhere near as good and can't get an order right. Does anyone know where the old owners have gone and if they have a new shop anywhere???????

Don't order from here!!! I put an order in at 6:30pm to be delivered for 7:45pm, the food didn't turn up until gone 8:50pm. No apologies or refund. All I was told was "we are busy" food was barely warm!! Won't be using this takeaway again!!!! 😡🤬

This is by far the best Chinese takeaway in Northampton I won’t use any other one. Food is cooked fresh and delivered piping hot. Would recommend that if you haven’t tried it give it a go you won’t regret it

Very dissatisfied with our delivery from here tonight. We've paid £30 for food and it was cold, chewy and soggy. The chips had clearly been reheated and the egg fried rice was overcooked. Tried to resolve the issue through Just Eat but they didnt want to know as we paid the driver cash on delivery. No attempt to resolve the situation, long term Just Eat customers, they obviously dont value or care about their customers and their experiences whilst using their service. Bye bye Just Eat, we’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

I'm really surprised at the poor reviews. I've been getting Chinese from here for years. I always go for delivery and yes it is usually a long delivery time but worth it in my opinion. Really nice dishes, they are generous with their portions and ourselves and guests round the house usually pick quite a wide range off the menu and there's been no complaints. Allow more time regarding delivery than the app you use suggests and apart from that, just enjoy the food.

Ordered a chicken curry with fried rice. The curry sauce was watery the rice was well over cooked and tasted that bad I couldn't eat it if you want good food DON'T go here.

Nearly £3 more per dish compared to other local Chinese takeaways!! You won't last long like that and the food is not that great either I'm afraid arrived cold,soggy and lacking in flavour. Will not be returning!!

Crispy beef was nice, but with priority of onions and onions... WHY? Crispy seaweed have suger, which is supposed me and was not seaweed, but crispy kale.

Great food decent price and they always give extra wings even if we're just under 30. Delivery time is also good.

I am currently isolating, didn't have the energy to cook and hence I ordered from here, absolutely awful service. Waited two hours for my food (an hour over expected delivery time), all of the food was cold. Tried to get through to the restaurant for a solid 60 minutes and they would not answer. Just to then find a hair in my food, which put me off my whole meal making me feel physically sick. When I complained they seemed not to care and disregarded the fact that the food was cold and over an hour late.

Great food. Cash only. They deliver as well.

2nd visit and impressed both times

Usually the food is lovely but this time the chow mein was too salty and I ordered a special fried rice with sauce and received a special chow mein with sauce, this person does not like noodles, not up to their usual standard this time I'm afraid

Absolutely disgusting service. Food turned up an hour earlier than I had prebooked for just as I was returning home luckily. The delivery driver then said they didn’t have any change so I could either give them the 20 or walk to my local shop to get change. Extremely rude the entire time. Was offered a refund afterwards that I had to wait nearly an hour and a half for just to be greeted by the same rude driver who then informed me I would need to fish the food out of my bin in order to get a refund. She then proceeded to attempt to STEAL my phone!! She took my phone and placed it in her pocket and tried to hastily walk to my gate which luckily doesn’t unlock unless you’ve pressed the button! Honestly can’t believe this absolutely ridiculous. I’ve been a loyal customer for 2 and a half years but will never be using this chinese again!!!!!

Ordered at 6pm got told it will arrive by 7.30! Nothing! then got told it would be here by 7.50 nothing! 8pm came got told it's on its way and it left a while a go! 8.30 came got told it got delivered to someone else! Cancelled it and went with someone else. Never ordering here again!

Good food with great prices and service. Everything cooked fresh so if you haven't ordered in advance the expect a 15 minutes wait at least but it's well worth the wait

It's a 10 min car ride from my house to the China Star and even though I have a Chinese local I would rather travel. The service is always as quick as it can be and the food is always of a good quality. The price is very good. I have feed five adults with a bit over for around £25 - £30. All in all good quick service with value for money food freshly prepared

Good food however the girl answering the phone and handing food over the counter looked like she was being forced to work, never seen someone so miserable!!! Get new staff!

always ordering food from them and I have never been disappointed with food, but this time we really disappointed food, because in egg fries rise and in crispy chiken we find hair.

Worse Chinese I've eaten! I'm sorry my chicken satay was undercooked! The chicken was red and ever so chewy! China star, I've ordered from here plenty of times in the past and I've never had a problem, please make sure you check you're chicken is cooked through!!!!!

Awful! Firstly took an hour and 40 mins to arrive, ( on a Monday night) when finally arrived it was dry and tasteless. And then I found a crab claw in my food despite the fact I didn't order any seafood!!! Disgusting 😷 Don't attempt to waste your money if you've got a brain 😊!
