Awful Thai, poor quality food and meat, not good at all.

My partner had gone in to the shop to order Singapore noodles and came back to find out they'd given him noodles with pork. I called him to question them and got no remorse not even an apology she thought I was trying to place an order. Wont be ordering again!

We have had takeaway food from China Garden before Last night the food was cold and inedible We will not be back A waste of £22

If I can add 10 stars I would. I don’t understand why they have only 3.3 rating. The food is so tasty. Super delicious. The best one I ever had. Really good portions and delivery guy is super nice. Since we moved in Didcot with in 20 days we ordered many food deliveries. We are addicted 😂 High recommendation for everyone ⭐️

Way to expensive for what you get the chixken wings and salt tasted horrible as tho it was not fresh a twang a few wings for £7 .. chicken curry chicken was like jelly and the sauce was so thick awfull the rice was okay but the prawns in it were quiet fishy I won’t order from their again very disappointing

Always good & 12 chicken balls unlike the Oxford takeaways who offer 8 or 10 & £2 more expensive ... This Takeaway deserves to be supported

Best take away in didcot by far have not had a take away for few months now because of cost of living etc so was hoping this was going to be good and my god it was amazing hot on time and really really good thank-you guys made out evening

Food was dead…. Soggy, bland, why offer Thai if you can’t do it properly was absolutely horrendous , the squid was probably one of the WORST I’ve ever had and the chef needs to get down the market and get some Fresh veg And get some passion for flavouring!!!

Really late delivery. Driver couldn't speak English so don't even know why they were late. Food was cold.

Unfortunately a very bad experience, Waited 80 minutes for my order to find out it was completely wrong, apart from the yummy chips, called up and they said they will send the missing items over in around 20 minutes. Items arrived and they took all the extra items away but my chips were cold by then 😔 didn’t realise the spring roll was one massive one that you can’t really eat and was tasteless. And all the other dishes didn’t taste all that good. Unfortunately I won’t be returning

Food was dripping with grease and the chicken balls were under cooked. Both myself and the person who ate with me got ill.

Unfortunately, I had to rate with 1 star in order to post this review. However, it should be 0. I ordered a veggie chow mein with no onion and mushrooms. I repeated this 3 times to ensure the lady taking the order had heard what was said as a member of the family eating with us is vegetarian. She repeated the order back correctly twice. Thankfully, there was no onion and mushrooms. However, a few pieces of duck were found in it. Unfortunately this was noticed once in the mouth of the vegetarian. Without hesitation, I contacted them to inform them what had been found. Wow, what a customer service experience! I was told on the phone that it did not have duck in it when I could see the pieces of duck in front of me. When I repeated that there was duck in the veggie chow mein, omg was the answer. When I pulled her up on her awful customer service, she repeated I wasn't talking to you. I asked for a manager and was told one was not available. She then told me a new veggie chow mein is on its way and immediately hung up. Instead of wasting my breath by calling them back and repeating myself, I decided to write a review to help those out there wanting a Chinese to avoid choosing this one. I hope you enjoy the Chinese you got somewhere else and live with a lot of joy that you did not go to China Garden, Didcot.

This is our go to Chinese. They deliver on time, every time and the food is good. They do both more traditional Chinese food and your classic take away options like chicken balls and crispy chili beef. Its good and satisfies your Chinese craving. Take away, delivery and pick up.

Delivery was almost an hour late with half of the order missing! It took 10 attempts to get through to the restaurant. Really poor service!

I ordered at 7:22, expected to arrive at 8:22 at the latest. We tired calling once it was 10 minutes late (it took 7 attempts to even get through) to find out it wasn't even ready to be put out for delivery at 8:50!! Would not recommend, I now have to go out to get food else where because I’m not waiting a further 40 minutes!

All of the reviews are right. Order placed for delivery. The delivery time passed with no sign of my food. Eventually I went to the shop as the phone number wouldn't even connect. Very poor customer service, no apology given for my order taking over 2 hours. The food was handed over after being taken from a large pile of orders. The food itself was sub par. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. Don't waste your money or time, you will regret it.

Take a drink every time they inflate their prices. You might not even notice the grease after a while

Delivery was at the time we asked for but that is the only good thing to say. Satay chicken didn't look or feel like chicken, and the satay sauce tasted like pineapple juice. Chewy beef in the curry and all had limited flavour. The price we paid was about £10 more than our usual place, and the quality was much much lower. We won't be going back.

The food was poor for the amount of money they charge. Salt and pepper chicken did not even taste like chicken, what ever they used was disgusting and to say it was salt and pepper flavour, by far. Never again. To be honest all went in the bin.

Good size portions of food, quite tasty and piping hot too, however just very expensive for what it is 😬😧

Looking forward too trying you for the first time, we had our meal delivered by just eat, I had the sweet & sour prawn ball & egg fried rice, I started to enjoy until I came across a thick black hair!!! In my meal. Won’t be going back it made me feel physically sick

Just got a bag of chips . Service was slow. I had to remind them ! She went round back to tell them and only then did they put the chips on ! I'd been sat down waiting about 10 minutes! They were nice chips and it was only my first time there so will go again as like Chinese food too.

Me and my family have been ordering from China garden for years and years now. It is our go to Chinese and have never had a problem. The value is outstanding and the food is brilliant. We must’ve spend £1000s in the place over years at various time - weekends included. Cannot recommend highly enough, a wonderful takeaway.

I have used this takeaway a lot in the last year. Generally speaking we have been happy with the food, service and value. However on occasion the food has been cold and inedible. Tonight we had lovely food but sent wrong drinks. We have eaten our food without the drinks. The correct drinks arrived over an hour and forty minutes later. Totally unacceptable and not the way to run a business. Will not be back

Rude women hung up without answering or saying anything. I phoned back to tryagain but instead of appologising argued ill spend my money else where and looking at the menu they are over priced anyway.

Having ordered around 4pm and being told the delivery would be here at 6.25 @ 7pm the order had not even been prepared nor cooked, totally pathetic and their cost for delivery is the highest on just eat. Lost a repeat customer. Jokers

We ordered a take away dinner through All Eat. It was supposed to arrive at 7:30, we paid in advance and received a confirmation email. After half an hour we tried to call the restaurant, but the line was either busy or nobody picked up. We tried many times, no luck. After one hour we contacted All Eat, they tried to call the restaurant as well, but they couldn't make it either. After one hour and a half we asked All Eat to cancel the delivery and issue a refund. So we are not writing this review based on the quality of the food, but this is entirely based on the fact that this restaurant is not reliable. We totally understand that Friday nights can be busy, but we would have appreciated a call from them and we would have liked to have a choice between getting the food very late or cancelling the order. This is the first time in my life that I order a take away and I don't receive it. I will never order from this restaurant ever again.

Worst takeaway experience I've ever had. Food never arrived. We waited 3 hours, including almost an hour after our order was marked as 'delivered'. Neither of the phone numbers provided actually work. Luckily we were able to cancel the order on Just Eat and get the money back. Don't bother ordering from here, you'll likely have to wait hours longer than expected if you get anything at all. Not worth risking being left with no dinner.

Just had a fresh hot delicious takeaway from china garden always use this take away as its excellent value always on time and they never skimp on the ingredients on the specials very happy and very full tonight Thank-you guys 😊

Ordered with Just Eat around 5:30 and didn’t receive food until 7:30, even though delivery was estimated for an 1 hours time. I do understand they are busy as it’s a Saturday but wasn’t informed of the extra delay. Food arrives without contactless delivery from the delivery driver. The food was cold and some of the items where missing. I received small portions of some items eg - 2 chicken balls when paying £6.30 for them. When ringing the restaurant, the lady was helpful but was restricted with what she could offer by her management. They wanted to take the whole order back and issue it a fresh order to us but would have to wait the delivery time again. They did issue the incorrect items. Overall the food tasted good but just cold and late.

We ordered for NYE and while delivery was a little later than scheduled, which we forgive given the day and how busy they must of been, the food was great. Salt and pepper fish (excellent though I wasn’t expecting it in batter), Lemon Chicken (the best we’ve had) and crispy chilli beef (just right). Good sized portions and great taste, which account for being slightly more expensive than some others. NB: Lemon chicken had pineapple in it too - nice but some have pineapple allergies.

Terrible service. Took 3 hours to get our food delivered. The staff didn't help. The manager refused to talk to me. I was only offered $5 off my next order, which will never be happening.

I don't eat big meals, got a take-away meal, 4 items, cost under £13, fed me for 3 days, I cannot complain about that ! Brilliant. By the way, the food was excellent !

Ordered through Just Eat, had the Duck and Pork Fried Rice and the special mixed meat soft noodles. The latter was really nice. Overall the meat was cooked well and flavourful however stars were deducted for the following reasons: * The delivery time was about 1hr 30, even though Just Eat indicated that it was 35-50 minutes. * On the Duck and Pork Fried rice - the rice didn't seem to be fried. The meat looked like it was just laid on top of steamed rice. * Not sure if this was down to Just Eat, but when you selected both dishes you HAD to pick a sauce (BBQ, Curry or Sweet + Sour). Unfortunately the sauce was not separate so both dishes were saturated with it which made them very soggy.

Hot & plentiful food. Usual prices in this area. Happy to recommend & would buy here again when visiting the area.

Really nice takeaway, my favourite in the Didcot area. I have been here a number of times and explained that I have a severe sesame allergy - they've always been willing to accommodate this and use a different oil when cooking. The staff are always polite and friendly too. And the food tastes great!

We have ordered take away from here a few times over the past few months. The last 3 times there have either been an item missing or a wrong item have been sent.

Delivery time of one and a half hours after ordering and then after a further hour no food turned up! No attempt to aplogise. We will not be using them again. Go elsewhere is my advice.

We ordered last night via just eat. The delivery was on time, the food was delicious and the driver was very friendly. I highly recommend the set menu C for 2 people, it was lovely and plenty of food. Will order from China Garden again.

Since when is Kung po chicken supposed to be in ketchup like thick sweet sauce with no actual peppers or peanuts? The chicken Thai soup had massive mushrooms in thick brown sauce. Not a soup. Seriously, I'd rather have a cheese sandwich. Waste of money. Never ever again. Avoid at all cost.

Delivery time is ridiculous. Ordered food for 18.00 and and 1 hour later. Still waiting. Never ever again. Called about 20 times , line is busy... Shame on you...

As a family we ordered X4 chicken chowmein X1 chips X2 chicken balls X1 chilli beef We only had 1 chowmein delivered and the chicken balls. Waited an hour and half for delivery, got offered to have the whole thing red delivered but said up to an hour and only offered us a very very small apology! Not. Happy.

By far, the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had! Rice and peas delivered in error (chicken chowmein missing from order) it was salty, the chicken was over processed, the prawn crackers were brown. Seriously, don't bother!

Best takeaway in the area lady who takes the orders is excellent really knows her stuff food arrived fresh and hot can not ask for more thank you the best

They have been generally good in the past but tonight really wound me up! I ordered duck 2 chips and curry sauce, 1 hour!!! Called up asked where my ordered was, and was left on the side for her to talk to a co worker!! To then be told it will be another 10-15 mins!!’ It’s 10.20 at night! All they had to do was chuck the duck in the microwave! And put the chips in the fryer! Its ridiculous

Been using this place for years,but that stops today, shocking customer service skills, forgot part of my order and when I phoned to complain was told as she hadn't written it down and I would have to pay for delivery again and wait another hour and half again!!! No chance

We have had order's in the past from China Garden , but the last couple of times the quality has dropped very badly . One of our order's had spring rolls delivered , of which was smashed to pieces with which we had to have replacements . We gave them a second chance ,only to find we had missing item's which of course were spring roll's .once they got back to us with the missing Spring roll's . The quality of these Spring roll's were 99.9% beansprout's and nothing else. We will be ordering elsewhere from now on .

We keep going back here, portion sizes are good, fresh ingredients. Love the salt and pepper chicken, also the chicken noodle soup. We always call in and pick up, you don’t normally have to wait long unless particularly busy e.g. fridays and saturdays.

Thye negelected to put in 2 of the 6/7 items we ordered. The expected us to accept replacement food of what was missing 20 minutes later?! Furthermore when asked for something by way of compensation all they offered was a refund 'for next time' on what was missing! They even tried to blame us ordering through Just Eat! Food was of average quality, chips were poor though. Food in this area is 30% higher than so many other areas so food for 4 was over £50. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! My advice would be to find somewhere else if you're paying these prices & getting such poor service.

Good portions but did not receive all that we ordered.

Had food from here in the past, collected from there. And was spot on. Ordered for delivery today. And tbe pancake. Rolls were absolutely swimming in grease. I had to remove pancake rolls from plate and pour the oil off. Not impressed and wont be using again.

I had a bad meal from my usual Takeaway so I thought I’d give the China garden a go ... Very impressed with their food ... Quite a busy Takeaway which is a good sign ... Will defo be my new first choice

Had a chicken curry on Thursday 7/3/19. It was awful! I don't know what that meat was, but it tasted nothing like chicken and the texture was odd, fatty and chewy. I didn't eat it, and I won't be returning!!!

Delivered within the given time. One dish was chicken instead of the ordered king prawn. Phoned up and was told that they would send the correct version and I could PAY THE DIFFERENCE!! Thai red curry contained so much MSG it was cloudy and thick - I couldn't eat it. Never use again.

Waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for delivery. Then I had something missing from my order and waited a further 45 minutes for this to be delivered which by this time the rest of the food was cold. I didn't even get an apology!! Always ordered from here but not any more!!

Originally great food but shocking delivery times and little or no apology from the shop. Thats 1hr and 30 and still waiting. The shop also have no idea when the driver left. Ridiculous
