I should've known, when it was delivered sooo soon after being ordered by phone, that it was going to be bad. I wasn't wrong. Barely reheated hard dry rice, greasy refried chicken balls and watery sauce. People don't work hard to pay for this level of horrible food. I would've given it 0 but couldn't. Never again will we order from this place.

Honestly the worst place around. When I rung up and made a complaint I was laughed at and told all food was freshly cooked that morning so there cannot be anything wrong with any of there food. What a place!

Cancelled the order on Christmas Eve, despite accepting it over 3 hours earlier, only cancelled because I called and asked why the order was delayed twice.

Very busy nice food but each time is different, one week had a lot of meat in chowmain next week hardly any

China Garden always excellent food, they go out of their way to accommodate requests a day make changes to suit their customer. Tonight they not only accommodated us but they also arranged delivery even though their driver had gone home. Excellent food and customer service. Wouldn't go to any other Chinese place. Thank you

Beef curry just beef and onions in a curry sauce, chicken balls over cooked, chicken wings over cooked, took an hr to deliver. Wasted £21. Are just eat checking their recommendations??

The first time I have ordered from China garden I Ordered through just eat , it's safe to say the reviews are bogus , this will be the only time I order from here, it was a pre order as they weren't yet open (for the same day) GUTTED as I only ever order from one place and they are on point every time , thought I would try a different place for once Crispy beef tasted like a card found in the loft from 3 Christmas ago aswell as the sauce being very PALE and not alot of flavour , my (crispy) seaweed was in the same container as prawn toast and (crispy)spring rolls , causing everything to be soft limp and chewy , my satay chicken skewers was in the same pot as my ribs cause the sauces to fuse and create a miscellaneous sauce , (CRISPY) DUCK was just dry not crispy but dry ,40% dry duck 60%fat , basically didn't enjoy it and I'm gutted

Terrible service 2 hour wait for food to turn up and wasn't nice at all.and half of it was missing, called them and was told to look in the empty bag, gone down hill,£70 straight in the bin yuck! most definitely won't be ordering anything from here again..

Shockly rude customer service! Wanted information about food allergens and was litterally laughed at and told to go else where.

On trying to place a large order 3 days before required we called, as advised on the website, for info of allergens in certain menu items. They were unwilling to provide any (by law they should) and told us to buy from another Chinese as they didn't want our business of £200! Rude, unhelpful and not complying with recently introduced Natasha's Law!

Waited for over an hour for our food. Rang and was told it wouldn't be long. It then arrived 10 minutes later and was COLD!! I rang and told them it was cold and she started arguing with me telling me it wasn't! Terrible. Really very unimpressed. I was offered a discount on food the next time I ordered. Well that won't be happening 😕

Salt & chilli chickens wings would be delicious if you like cold, greasy wings that only taste of batter. Prawns in waterddown ketchup were inedible. Prawn crackers were ok although I guess they were not cooked fresh on site. Roast pork in the same watery ketchup sauce the prawn s were in was totally gross and the pork was grissly one bite was enough. Overall a cold delivery but I think it would have been just the same had it been warm or hot, disgusting food made me think I shoukd have spent the time cooking although I am unwell. Please avoid

Food was hot on arrival . I was Told 30-45 minutes the food arrived at 30 minutes . This has got to be one of the best Chinese takeaways my family and i have had in a very long time . The food was tasty the sweet and sour prawn balls were perfect and not greasy to the taste . I would recommend this takeaway to family and friends . I am vegetarian/vegan the vegan chicken looked like chicken wasn't too sure if it was or not but knew as soon as I cut into the chicken it was vegan this went well with the food I had the vegetarian Singapore fried rice very tasty indeed and a large portion too . Loved this takeaway so much it is somewhere I will go time and again I hope others do too as I said one of the best . Thank you China garden for fantastic hot 🔥 food, prompt delivery ❤️

Never order from here sends out cold food hour's later

Very good and tasty food. Really enjoyed the meal, and delivered on time.

Excellent quality food. All dishes are very flavoursome as they should be! The crispy chilli beef is actually crispy and spicy... as it should be right, but it's incredible how many other Chinese takeaways can get it so wrong! We always order our chinese takeaway from here, very tasty, very consistent and reliable. Surprised at negative reviews, comparable to other chinese takeaways locally this is easily the best.

Capital sauce and spare ribs were nice

Made an order through just eat app this evening, the app said it had been delivered, when it had not been. Having made the order over 2 hrs ago, I rung the restaurant, got told by a very hostile, un helpful staff member, it will be on the way, another 20-30minutes had gone by and still nothing. By this point it was 9pm, my 8yr old child was very hungry and my partner had to go to work (night shift) on an empty stomach. In the end I cancelled the order, and got a full refund through just eat app (no fault of their own). I will not be using this Chinese shop ever again!!

I ordered a set meal from here and i must say this was the best chinese meal i have had in a long time, my partner is a chef and he couldnt get over how nice the flavours were and the crunchy veg and bean sprouts were cooked to perfection, the colours were nice aswell everything blended and complimented each other, we will most definitely be ordering from here again, also to top it off it arrived in about 30 mins of ordering, BIG HATS OFF TO THE CHEF 100%

Worst Chinese I've had, special chow mein had 1 prawn and pork bone in it, crispy beef didn't taste like any beef was in it, wan ton was just pastry - sure theres supposed to be filling in them

Appalled at there service tonight. Food was an hour late. Everytime we phone up they said it was in its way. When it arrived it was cold so put it in the bin. Phone them back for a refund and they ask for the food back. When I told them it was in the bin the woman told me to get it out otherwise I couldn't have a refund. Disgusting.

The food arrived on time. It was absolutely awful, chicken in lemon sauce, how can chicken be so tough it's inedible. Egg fried rice, brown rice?? Never again!! Used to be good

Waited over 2 hours for delivery, through Just eat, phoned and phoned and phoned, finally got an answer and they said it might be delivered after 8? which would be more like 2 and half hours? It hadn't even been started yet. Why don't they phone or let you know on Just and tell people it will be this long early on so we can decide not to go there!!!!! Rubbish... Avoid it completely.

Wish I could give zero stars. Ordered at 5.38pm for delivery asap. At 7.40, we rang the restaurant, no reply despite numerous attempts . Finally able to speak to someone, who told me they were just about to cook it! I ended up picking up the order and the only compensation was my delivery charge. Food was cold. Not impressed at all. We would definitely not recommend this take away.

Awful service. Food was delivered to the wrong address and left outside their house for over an hour, tried contacting the restaurant and couldn’t get an answer, when we finally got through we were told to go next door which is unacceptable! They then said the driver would re-deliver and the driver went straight to next door and grabbed it from the floor and tried to hand it over to me stone cold, obviously refused the order and requested a full refund which wasn’t taken well at-all without a single apology through the whole process, was ordered through just eat which I would also advise against now as trying to get a refund on an order you didn’t even receive seems almost impossible, disgusting service would never use them again.

All my food was cold ,I rang the restaurant over 150 times to state that I couldn't have onion in my food ,the times I did get through they wouldn't answer , when they finally did answer they told me my food was already out for delivery. They offered no help or replacement even tho I told them how many times I had called so I had £40 worth of cold unedable Chinese ,,, beware peeps not a good Chinese

I'm not basing this review on the food but I would like to unfortunately though I called up to ask if they are doing deliveries tonight & what time they will be doing them to as I don't finish my shift until 8pm so would love a Chinese as I've not had 1 since lockdown however she couldn't understand me & decided to hang up on me so I think that's very rude!!

Food delivered to wrong address and by the time we got the food it was stone cold, phoned up and was quizzed by the lady on the phone if I was sure it was the correct address. Refused to give compensation of any kind offered to re deliver it but it would have been past 10pm when we ordered at 730. chicken like rubber and the satay chicken has turned up looking like chicken soup. Worst chinese take away in folkestone, AVOID!!!!!

Normally really nice food today was absolutely horrible.chicken balls hard.over cooked lemon chicken.rice over cooked and mushy.asked for curry sauce got sweet and sour. Sorry won't be using again

Terrible customer service. Food came and was nice. They forgot to deliver a dish so phoned up to see if it could added to another order I wanted to make only to be called a liar, shouted at down the phone and hung up on. Real shame terrible staff let down good food. Won't be using them again.

This is our regular Chinese takeaway and we absolutely love the food and service here! The menu is extensive, fairly priced, and the food is DELICIOUS! Once, our big order only took less than 15 minutes to arrive - we heard the doorbell ring and thought "Noooo. It can't be!", but it was (easily amused) The lady on the phone may come off as 'unfriendly' to some, but kindly remember it is a language issue so she gets straight to ordering - no chit chat. We haven't had any hiccups (touch wood) and would highly recommend China Garden based on positive experience.

Absolutely delicious food,really fresh and not greasy at all.Satay Chicken on Skewers was incredible,as was the special mixed meat curry. My new favorite Chinese :)

Just ordered take-away first time from this Chinese and for such a simple order they had to extend the delivery time by 20 mins, I appreciate it’s probs a busy evening. we only had 2 lots of rice a soup, dumplings and sweet and sour chicken balls. The soup was a weird yellow colour which really put me off straight away as I’ve never seen it that colour before!! and my husband wasn’t impressed with his food at all said it was the worst food he has ever tasted soggy chicken balls and tough chicken inside. And the dumplings were disgusting. Don’t normally write reviews but felt like we had to say something.

A fantastic, delicious range of meat-free dishes and meat alternatives. Haven't been this impressed with the range of vegan options for a long time - I would highly recommend this takeaway for anybody who wants to enjoy Chinese food without the meat but doesn't want to feel like they're missing out!

Really good food, delivery always prompt, usually early in fact. Excellent selection for vegetarians with tofu, veggie chicken and vegetable alternatives for a good number of dishes.

Delivery van keeps blocking the path. No room for buggy or people to walk past. Have to walk in the busy road to get around.

Today I'm very disappointed with quality of food I order vegetables soup but those vegetables are not properly washed and very badly it was cooked this is always my first choice to order Chinese now I'm never gonna order from china garden very very unhygienic waste of money 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Excellent range for vegetarians

Normally great lovely food! Tonight took 2 hours from when I ordered for it to arrive...then argued with the lady on the doorstep because she had a different price to what my email said so had to prove my email to her! Then when to eat it to find it was absolutely disgusting...old burnt chips and all of it was cold!! Called the restaurant to have them hang up on me! Absolutely disgusting and will not eat from here anymore!

Removed our email conforming order has been completed and funds have been taken from my bank, only to then get another email to say my order has been cancelled. After making a phone call to just eat. It turned out that China garden had turned off there connections to just eat because they were too busy. What a joke. We will NOT be using them again.
