I found that their food delivery is on time and they have a new menu that tastes very good and worth going back to.

Took my money, didn't deliver my food and refused to refund me. Worst takeaway I've ever ordered from. If you want to lose your money, order from here!

Absolutely appalled at the service of this restaurant won’t be ordering again I ordered at 9pm it’s 1am and I still haven’t got an order ashamed hopefully will get my refund

Never order delivery! Ordered food at 19:10, the app said the food will be here for 20:10 which is an hour already yet it’s 20:40 the food is still not here. Recommend to always go pick it up, when you call the restaurant they can’t track the driver or even any discount for next order for the inconvenience, this isn’t the first time I have ordered from here and waited over 1,5h for food, make sure you order with plenty of time in advance!

My wife and I ordered on line for delivery on Christmas Eve,evening,arrived when it said it would,by a very friendly driver,we had salt & pepper chicken balls,and chicken chow mien,portion of fried rice and curry sauce,it was all very nice,no issues at all,would definitely use again.

The worst service I have ever received. Two and a half hours ..took it to wrong address, no apology and I had added a 10% tip at checkout !!! Seriously avoid this place

Ordered for the first time. Chicken balls sweet n sour and chicken chow mein . Got free spring rolls and prawn crackers. It's the best takeaway I ve had in a long time. Large portions and didn't even wait that long.

Avoid China city! Was cutting up the chicken balls for my children and the chicken is pink. Called them and asked for them to come and take the food back and give me a refund. Explained the chicken isn’t cooked it took ages for them to deliver. They arnt refunding or collecting there greasy disgusting food !

Terrible utterly terrible chicken like rubber fried rice came with curry sauce on top that looked like it was from the day before lumpy and just awful never again !!!!!!!

This place is disgusting when collecting my order they were seen picking food up of the floor then putting if back to give to customers, they were also seen eating the food whilst cooking which is very unhygienic, after seeing this I decided to leave my food and ask for a refund but the woman didn’t understand me at all, when ordering a sausage they were seen using the supermarkets own which should not be allowed I am very disappointed about this place something needs to happen about this!!!

Terrible take away took 2 hours to arrive nearly cold. Sweet n sour sauce was too runny and was running off the plate very expensive not worth it. Won't order again

Ordered via Food hub. Order arrived fairly sharpish to be honest. That’s where the positives end! Food was FULL of salt, the chicken in the balls was undercooked and had a weird texture! Poor quality chicken pumped full of water I suspect! Rice was incredibly greasy and the sauces were cold. I wouldn’t bother with these guys, quality isn’t high on their agenda at all! We threw it all away and had beans on toast!

Ordered a take away was told orders over £10 got free prawn crackers never got them. Beef chow mein hardly had any beef in it tried to telephone to complain got no reply. Not good customer service would not recommend or use this take away again!!!

Ordered food...took just over 3 hours to arrive. Tried to ring numerous times and they never answered the phone. Not going to bother again. Dont waste your time or money.

Ordered and paid for food online. Showed preparing for hours then the shop was closed with my order not being delivered. That's 20 quid I won't get back. Total rip off.

Placed an order with just eat initially told delivery would be 40 mins once ordered it changed to 1 hour 25 it still didn’t arrive so called restaurant and told it was on the way. Still nothing 20 minutes later so I called someone answered then said to hold on and just placed the phone on the side. At that point I wanted to cancel but just eat we’re not helpful either. My delivery then changed until another 30 minutes. It eventually arrived cold. Sauce all clogged together and inedible it was thrown in the bin. No apology or refund disgusting food

This is the 3rd time in 6 months we have eaten here. Large group of friends this time. As Chinese buffets goes this has been good in all visits. All the party loved the chilli ribs especially. Will visit again on our next trip.

Food wasn't too bad, however, rather pricy for the amount of food we got. Not too bad but the prices should be reviewed. The munchy box didn't actually come in a box and a small tray

Spent over £60 for a family meal, called to make an alteration as i wasn't able to do it online. The women on the phone was so rude, not helpful and told us we were being very inconvenient to them (her tone made it a lot worse) she then hung up. We've been here a lot, but will never spend another pennie with them, and will ensure to make sure our friends and family wont go either.

Ordered online- simple! Went to collect as the food was just being cooked fresh ! Great food and big portions also. Nice and spicy as I expected- prawn crackers and several mini spring rolls added free of charge. Legends ! Thanks very much and will use again. Great quality and service. Brilliant!

Ordered food at 8.30 they accepted my order and took my payment and it is now 10.10 and they still havnt sent my order disgusting customer service and I will be going there tommorow to get a refund. I will never use them again

The food is actually good but the service is disgusting. We made a big order with our family and we asked for 2 portions of ribs and a portion of rice but instead we got 1 portion of ribs and 3 portions of rice!! We called to explain that our order was wrong and the lady who claimed to be the manager of the takeaway was really rude, arguing with me saying that’s not what we ordered even though there was 3 of us listening when we were making the order. I’ve worked in hospitality for over 5 years and the customer service I received is disgusting and I would never talk to my customers like that. I won’t be ordering from there ever again and will sure tell my friends to stay away from it.

Ordered a takeaway from here amounting to just over £30. We had been travelling all day and were hungry. Ordered at 9.30 and were told it would be delivered at 10.15. 45 minutes for a chinese seemed a little excessive, but Ok. 10.35 came and still no sign of the food. Went online to find the number for the restaurant, was the wrong number. Had to ring just eat, and whilst on the phone to the lovely lady there, our food was delivered. At 10.55. 5 minutes before the restaurant was due to close. I can only assume that this was done so that once ths guy doing deliveries had finished, he was off home. 40 minutes late is NOT acceptable, after having ALREADY waited 45 minutes.

Like to try new city eateries....and this place so far is brilliant...nice food..nice staff...realistic pricing......will definitely be back.....

Food was delivered piping hot and 20 mins earlier than expected by a lovely smiley delivery driver. I had the special fried rice which was absolutely packed with loads of different meats and prawns, all of which were delicious, and crispy seaweed which was lovely. Definitely recommend and will be ordering again, many thanks

Even though it was supposed to be vegetarian. I put "vegan" on my dietary requirements and they still brought prawn crackers so I wasn't very confident about the seaweed. It was very speedy but that's the only good thing.

Food was superb, all of it was piping hot. The Singapore chow mein is lovely and the salt & chilli prawns and salt & chilli squid were delicious. Delivery was a little late but only by a few minutes and the food was great so it was fine.

Food normally beautiful. However we waited 2 hrs for delivery, and the food arrived quite soggy. The driver did apologise for being late but it shouldn't be that late, it's ridiculous.

I chose this takeaway as my birthday meal because I love their food so much! And they are so kind and do a perfect job of the food. They deliver food fresh and hot.

The most disgusting Chinese I've ever had!! Ordered special fried rice and none of the meet was cooked properly, it was chewy and pink inside! The gravy was poor, the egg was slimey even the prawn crackers were rank! Will never order from here again!!!!

Seriously good takeout. The aromatic duck was superb and the steak in black pepper just melted, it was lovely. The Singapore chow mein was really tasty and the salt and chilli squid was really well cooked, very tasty. All of the meal was really good, best I've had in a while and delivered well within expected time. Very impressed.

Ciudad china nos dieron nuestra orden equivocada, nos llamó y el propietario acordado ella había olvidado revisar las notas y acordado era su culpa. Entonces ella me dijo que sería una 30 minutos adicionales en la parte superior del original de 50 minutos para el elemento correcto para llegar. Dije esto no era aceptable, ya que el resto de mi comida se ve fría y dijo 'bien ir a la prensa y quejarse. Definitely one of the nicest Chinese takeaways in Carlisle, the honey chilli chicken was much sweeter than I've had before. It's for those with an extremely sweet tooth, but lovely none the less. My boyfriend had the beef in black bean sauce which was equally lovely. I would definitely be ordering from them again. Thank you! Kathryn

Ordered beef with green pepper in black Bean sauce but got chicken with green pepper in black Bean sauce. Also ordered the same a couple of weeks ago and received beef in pepper sauce. Apart from that really nice, just lately they keep making mistakes with the orders.

The food from here is great with big portions. We ll worth the money. You can veiw the kitchen from the counter and looks spotless. They deliver as well with a tiny minimum order. Recommended.

Always good food from China City

Good food but was late. We pre ordered for food to be delivered at 19:45 (15mins later than soonest time stated on justeat) and food didn't arrive until 20:20 it showed on my justeat app that food had been delivered at 19:55 even though it hadn't.

Just under an hour late and no apology when it arrived, my duck pancakes were fine but some of my girlfriends ribs were not cooked completely. Never had any problems before so hoping it was just an off night ?

Delivery time was very quick and only took 15 minutes from ordering. Great food but the reason for the 3 star for service is because once we found a piece of metal from those scouring pad. When we rang to say they merely said that is was from a scouring pad because the wash the dishes with them..... nothing more. No "oh sorry,we'll l give you some money of your next order" or anything. However it hasn't stopped us from ordering there but it would have been better container service, being a regular customers, to have an apology in they way of money off or free next meal. Because my partner actually removed it from him mouth.
