Awful service, food never arrived.

Ordered the munch box B, comes in large pizza box. Mix of dishes.. salt and chilli chips are amazing!! Good price. More than feeds 2. Haven’t had delivery but food does not take long when collected, walked in and ordered. Cash only so need prior, cash point nearby. Staff polite when ordered, food very hot on collection :)

Saw all the negative reviews and wanted to give the place a chance as I wanted to try their munch box. Very glad I did as the food was lovely and the portion size is great value for money. Will definitely be coming here again :)

Amazing and delicious! I have been trying to find the best chinese takeaway in Leicester, and trying quite a few, this place is by far the best! They were accommodating and helpful when I wanted to change something within my order and the food was amazing! The prices are also very reasonable and cheap, coming from Oxford where a pot of noodles was £13, having one for around £6 was a great deal! I recommend the Chicken chow mein (dry) and Vegetables with garlic sauce, it’s my go too! *It’s cash only, however, conveniently there is a convenience store right next door with a free withdrawals ATM machine!*

SCAMMERS. Avoid this place at all costs I have tried ordering from this place twice and they have cancelled the order and still charged me for it. The number doesn’t work for me and says “dialed incorrect number” when I try to contact them. Save your own time and money with these scammers

So ordered food at 19:06 arrived stone cold at 20:35. Random up 4/5 times. Was told at 20:05 it had just left. *doesn't take 30 mins to get from hinckley Road to Knighton. The chips tasted like cardboard and could tell that they had been reheated. Normally never an issue ordering and the food is decent but not today

Waste of time!!!!!! After waiting an hour and a half. We ring just to be lied to with the usual ' he's just leaving. Will be 20 mins' an absolute joke.

They're open late and aren't just serving sauces straight out of the jar. But it was overcooked and under-seasoned for a stir fry.

So, always give plenty of time for delivery, rang at 630pm saturday night, for food at 8pm, rang 3 times to be told its driver as just left, had the phone put down on me by the rude woman! 1 hour ten minutes later it finally arrived. They took off delivery charge for the The last time we ordered from here the never arrived. The woman who answers the phone needs to get some people skills and manners Will not be giving this place my money again. Disgusting service.

Ordered from alot of Chinese's in Leicester and this is one of two that always gets my custom. The munch boxes are top notch!

What's the point of having a takeaway if your phone lines don't work mmmm for the last 3 months , I've been in your takeaway and literally witness your cook taste food on a spoon and then the dirty spoon as got back in to the pan after exiting his mouth , your staff can be rude , to customers , no need for it we as customers pay your wages and keep you in business I will not be ordering from this takeaway ever again

Ordered on Uber eats. Waited ages... Said was out for delivery and then suddenly cancelled the order 🙄

Under the new name new China chef: I honestly felt I had to come back and leave another review, this restaurant closed for what ever reason but saw today its open again (thank god) I obviously had abit of a worry to why it closed but thought I'd try it anyway and omg I didn't think this restuarant could have got better but some how it did!! By far the best Chinese I've ever had, everything was perfect and arrived early so basically now I might as well declare myself bankrupt because I'm officially addicted.. Again. Thankyou China chef 😊from 365 Love the veg crispy spring roll, best I've tried and I've tried many places, Bbq could do with changing its more like gravy than Bbq sauce and ordered the pork in Bbq sauce tonight which is was abit fatty but maybe that's just me who's picky, overall fab Chinese and will continue to use.(7months ago) Edit - 17.03.23 Still the best Chinese by far! Had thr beef and chicken curry it's just so nice. Tonight our order took 10 mins from order being confirmed to delivery and the food was still fabulous. Thankyou again China chef from 375 Ps only thing I would change is sometimes the prawn Crackers are abit under done and abit hard but considering we get them for free I can't moan so thanks for always being reliable for great food

myself and my partner have ordered multiple times from here with no issues, however tonight we have both been left with the most awful experience. We collected our food for the first time tonight instead of ordering online, I was very very disgusted and disappointed when we arrived as when reading the menu infront of us, we saw multiple insects crawl across the menu. We joked and said this isn’t a good sign (considering we’d never actually seen the place our previous online orders had come from , it happened to be we were passing by so we picked it up)we only come back for the munch boxes as we like the idea of having a box of all our favourites as this isn’t something our regular Chinese offers. An hour after our food, I have been throwing up and been left feeling very very unwell. My partner feels the same with a bad belly however he hasn’t thrown up.. yet. This has put me off from ordering from here ever again as I am usually ok with new food restaurants, types of foods etc. should’ve just left when we initially saw insects on the menu I will NEVER return

My go-to Chinese takeaway! Whenever we fancy one we always drive from the other side of Leicester to collect as it’s always spot on. Food is always fresh and tasty, AND extremely cheap. Recommend the Munch boxes! You get so much for your money, can easily feed 3/4 people, or 2 in our case lol. Staff are really pleasant and so friendly - wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I'd highly recommend anyone to avoid this company and order elsewhere. Placed an order online on their website at 8.21pm - delivery for 9.41pm. At 22.13pm we had to call to find out where our food was for us to be told the driver will be about 20 more minutes. So ok - That's fine. 10.35pm we ring back as no food delivered still to then be told the delivery driver cannot bring our food he broke down apparently, then changed the words to had accident so can't deliver. OK. So I've waited 2 and a bit hours for food and your still not delivering. Asked for a refund to order elsewhere. They kept hanging up on the phone stating they couldn't refund us or cancel the order and that they would bring us food another day with free spring rolls. Jokes aside. When they finally answered again they decided to state they didn't keep hanging up the battery on the phone keeps dying. Then spoke to each other in their language to create a barrier and laughed. So we are now at 11.01pm no food. No refund. The shop closed at 10.50pm. So great stuff. No food tonight! That'll teach us. Having to go through emails and ringing mealsonline who provide these with their website to try and get a refund which in turn will then take roughly 5 days. Thanks a bunch china chef! I will make it my mission to state for everyone to see HIGHLY AVOID!!!! Not even the first time we have had issues as usually the driver goes 5 doors down trying to deliver to a different door and complete different house number. Then on another occasion food was over an hour late again so we then had to get it collected. Absolute nightmare of customer service. Disgusting behaviour from staff members laughing on the phone when it's orders coming in from people like us that pay your wages!!! Shame you have no option on this review for a no star! As giving them a 1 star is far too generous.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS - Shocking service, we waited 2+ hours for a delivery and nothing was delivered. When we called them they said the driver had a accident and that they had no driver. They refused to give us a refund but said they would give us a meal another day, how do I know that will even happen when they can't even fulfill the delivery on the same evening. I also rated 1star because that's the lowest score we can give this company.

Shocking experience - Avoid! Ordered a meal, charged for it and despite chasing the order for almost 2 hours it never arrived. Phone number says "the number hasn't been recognised" and no response. Ignore the reviews, rip off and it probably won't turn up!

Ordered a tri box which is well worth the money! it was delivered very quick and still very hot! food was tasty.

Went in today to order a munch box, the food was done fairly quickly and I received prawn crackers with it too. Everything tastes amazing so far and good value for money as I got a little bit of everything

The worst Chinese takeaway ever with their customer service. We order many times before and never had a problem. But one problem happened it will make your blood boiled! Not only they gave us completely wrong items. They offered one free dish, free mini spring roll and free delivery on the next order. So I was like, not satisfied but still accepted as the order I placed was for 3 and they gave us the set for 2. They even said is not their fault and it was foodhub that listed incorrect set on their menu. And they were not really apologetic and still think it wasn’t their fault. She said to call them directly next time to ask for Lisa to have those offers. Guess what. We just called. They now lied and said no free delivery. And they said they have never said that. I said to them to take a listen to there call record!!!!!! First they did the order wrong, then offered us some something which then lied about it! Forget it!!! The delivery is not even much and they have to lie about it! Just absolutely disgusting! Goodbye China Chef!

Showed up early but it was pretty terrible quality

It's such a shame that this takeaway is the nearest to our house because every time we give in and use it we're disappointed. The spring rolls were nearly all bean sprouts and the other dishes had barley any meat in them. This is after being told 25 minutes and getting there to be told the kitchen was just doing a clean! Plus i was the first in and last to be served. Not terrible but not great.

Been using this place for well over a year, Iv moved address and still pay over 3£ for delivery. Today took nearly 2 hours and was 35 mins late. Food was cold. Won’t be coming here again

I don't often leave reviews. However I do when I think it's worth it. This Chinese is amazing. Its quite far from where I live so delivery takes longer but its well worth the wait. Tried many things from their menu now and every single one is perfect. Amazing Chinese

The food is great and we’ve been loyal customers for many months but last night my partner and I didn’t receive our food so we called up for the lady behind the counter to tell us that our food had been delivered to a 24 year old who was drunk and was having a party. We explained over the phone that we had not had the food delivered and that it must have been delivered to the wrong place. The delivery driver decided to call us back calling us liars and that he definitely delivered the food to the right place even though he couldn’t possibly have confirmed that over the phone. After arguing back and forth on the phone being called a liar almost 10 times, the lady behind the counter told us that the driver had worked for the company for many years and couldn’t have possibly made a mistake and that if we wanted new food we would have to collect as the driver would be returning. After arriving at their takeaway, the driver walked in and we asked him if he’d delivered the food to us but he said now, we showed him a picture of our door and he still claimed he delivered the food to that door and the women behind the counter were agreeing with him,!!!!!!!!! We didn’t want a refund, we wanted our food, what use would it be to us to get too helpings of food, 2 hours apart, it doesn’t make any sense. My partner and I had to try and prove to a room full of people that we were not LIARS. We have never had such a DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE. I don’t know how many time we were told that we were lying even though we told them to send the delivery driver to our house so we could prove that it was sent to the wrong house but the restaurant decided to continuously side with the delivery driver. I can say one thing is for sure….. I Will never spend a penny at this disgusting business ever again, the fact that we had to fight for our food which was delivered to someone else is unreal. Word of advice to this awful takeaway: YOUR WORKERS CAN MAKE MISTAKES, OWN UP TO THEM. DONT CALL YOUR CUSTOMERS LIARS DONT ARGUE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. I’ll be making sure to tell every one I know to avoid this place like the plague.

Ordered my food around 7:40pm and was told around 50 minutes through delivery. We didn’t receive our food until around half 9. We had to collect our food and when we turned up, the food wasn’t even ready. The man told us another 10 minutes waiting time. Disappointed in the service given.

Absolutely disgusting food was over an hour late! Stone cold and they gave my child prawns instead of chicken! She’s allergic to prawns! The delivery driver practically threw it at me and refused to take it back the shop weren’t helpful either and told me they would give me something free next time! Never will there be a next time. It’s my daughters birthday and it was the only meal she really wanted. Disgraceful customer service and even worse food! Avoid!!!

Ordered the box a and box b , both were bland , chewy spring rolls and somosas were like they'd been cooked hours previous, chips soggy, chow mein dry no taste, partner had one mouthful of chow mein couldn't eat anymore, average rice, curry sauce tasted like medicine, ribs and chicken dry , ribs tasteless, shame, we had a recamondation off a friend saying how lovely the box meals are, kids wanted to try them, the box makes the chips and chicken balls go soggy, it was only a 5 min drive back home aswell, wish we'd have stuck to our local, number one on keightly rd ,great food every time, shall not be back.

Never tried this place before but decided to give it a go as I had seen a couple of posts on Facebook.i ordered the big munch box and was very impressed delivery was very quick food was hot and tasted fantastic. Was great value for money lots of food for very reasonable price. Definitely will be trying more of the food next time

Nice £6.50 chill box they do portions could be bigger but not bad

The food is good, but my recent order which was delivered was wrong and in the end had to send it all back and get a refund. Family went hungry and evening ruined. If you get the right order though, you won't be disappointed.

We have ordered, chicken & mushroom, and just got onions and mushroom and few thin slices of chicken, when i called to let them know we hardly had any chicken they said, they served 10 before me, and its only me who complained, and im a regular, sad story, i didnt complain about the taste of the food i mentioned i had hardly any chicken.! No problem ill order from somewhere else.! Thank you anyway

I can't believe the average rating for this place is only 3,5 stars I'm fussy about my food and love Chinese and I can honestly say I've never had a bad one from here otherwise I'd of changed definitely worth a try if you've never used them before definitely under rated as far as I'm concerned

Ordered chicken with orange sauce came with 1 slice of orange on top and on a bed of tinned pineapple to which I can't eat as it affects my medication, not impressed! Chicken coating was soggy, tasteless batter, will not be ordering again!

Best Chinese in Leicester, 5 star hygiene rating which is rare to find among other chinese places in Leicester. Sadly it randomly closes down every now and again and then opens up weeks later.
