China Chef in Wyre Forest

Have used China Chef for many years, but unfortunately after ordering a takeaway tonight, I won't be ordering another, bland tasteless food, I don't know how it arrived so quickly either!!!!

Salt & pepper spare ribs ok but, oh dear, main course is pretty Bland. Thick, red gooy sauce, and all pretty tasteless. Prawn crackers have an odd smell but taste ok. Not for us I'm afraid 😒😒😒

After reading the recent Google reviews we decided to give it a try MISTAKE! If this is on average what Chinese takeaways are serving outside of cities where the food is authentic, I’ll cook my own or go to M&S! £35 for bin worth food. Awful don’t waste your money.

Was brilliant, 2016, then went from bad to worse over last 5 years, had a 0 hygiene rating somewhere between but hubby loves it, me, not so, food is covered in fat/grease, chow mein, I know is done in oil but a friggin boat load so the bottom of the dish is literally swimming in it, Singapore style should be mainly dry, no, absolutely coated in oil, awful although my husband loves the curries, he never had any taste, including me :)

Just had takeaway king prawn kung po. Absolutely rubbish. Just prawns and odds and ends dyed deep red. Hopefully I'm not going to be sick later. Complete waste of money. Throwing most into the canal.

I have used the China Chef 3 times in the last month and can have no complaints. The food was served quickly and hot. Last night, rang at 8 for a delivery and was told it would be an hour but it arrived 20 minutes sooner which was great.

Ordered a takeaway, which was ready for collection in 10 minutes. We had some ribs for a starter but there was very little meat on the bone, poor compared to other places we have used.

Always have good food here. Cant complain about the delivery times, 45-60 mins for delivery on a Fri/Sat night which I think is standard. The service isnt always the best if you go in.

Been using this takeaway for years but not on a regular basis. Ordered a takeaway last night for the first time in about 6 weeks. When ordered it appeared alot more expensive than usual & when the food arrived, on time in fairness, was very disappointed in the meal. Appeared bland, watery & dull. Have checked recent reviews which appeared average. Will be looking at another takeaway in the near future

I tried this takeaway a few months back when I moved to the area. I didn’t think it was much cop then. Having read the recent reviews I thought I would try it again. Saturday night, got served quickly, food came within a few minutes. Ordered chicken fried rice and bbq ribs. Got the food home (2 minute walk) Opened the ribs to find what was supposed to be bbq sauce look more like sweet and sour. It was runny and red and did not resemble bbq at all. No smokey flavour. Was watered down somewhat. Ribs were poor with little meat on and not tender. Chicken friend rice was brown , dry and unappetising. Will never go there again.

We love a take away now and again from this our favourite. You will not be disappointed. Excellent and varied menu.

Fast service. Mini fish & chips Chinese curry sauce. I would put a huge bet that the fish was not cod! River cobbler possibly???!! Chips were hard and curry sauce watery. Meal did not include mushy peas or beans, just the Chinese watery sauce. ( anything to keep costs down I imagine!) plastic fork, charged 10p very thin indeed, so thin not up to job and broke off whilst eating, one layer of paper to keep food warm! Overall a very very small portion. Should not be advised as a meal deal, it’s not a special or complete meal deal, as in regular chip shops. Were there is the sausage or peas or anything else??? Very disappointing meal, therefore poor value. 😕😕😕😕😕

Great chips and great service. The staff and very nice and always ask how your day is going. Will be going there again. Highly recommend.

This has got to be the best Chinese in Stourport. The food isn't greasy; it's fresh! The staff are also really friendly and for a takeaway it is pretty amazing as an occasional treat.

Fabulous food. Delivered to our holiday caravan 5 miles away in time stated. Food was still piping hot. Excellent value for money. Lots of meat and very tasty.

Best Chinese food in Stourport. Always hot and fresh never had any problems with the food also it's cheap. Staff really friendly :)

Didn't even want to give it one star used to be best Chinese in stourport now it is under new management the food is terrible and all the old drivers have gone waited 2 hours for delivery not the same any more will be using new star in future

We have been using China chef for several years and never had an issue. This evening we ordered our takeaway and were advised there would be over an hour wait for delivery, which was fine. However, when our meals came they were incorrect. We'd ordered large beef curry and rice (large), they came small. I also had to throw away the yuk sung as it had a funny smell. Feeling disappointed and hungry.

Avoid !!! food arrived after 1 1/2 hrs smelt definatley gone off. Order wrong as well Phoned to complain didn't care. Something has changed here

Had a delivery from here, the food was very good, and the portion sizes large, the delivery was with us in about 30 minutes, which we thought was very good.

We always use the China Chef. Though it can be very busy we always ring through and preorder. The parking is easy too.

Had a really good Chinese from here,we were very pleased with both the food and the portion sizes, the only thing which let it down was the very matter of fact way the staff were, a little courtesy goes a long way.

Sadly this is the worst Chinese I've ever had!

El único Chino que utilizará en la ciudad. Siempre comida agradable no demasiado grasiento entregará también. sal de chili con pollo vale la pena probarlo si te gusta el calor

Hemos probado varios China Tome siempre en nuestra ciudad natal y hemos encontrado la mejor 1. El precio está a la par con otros, pero la calidad y el sabor de la comida es por encima del resto.

Gran servicio, precios razonables y la comida siempre es rápido. De todos los chinos, éste tiene la stourport mejor comida de lejos

Cuando pedimos comida china siempre nos dan de chef de China, la comida es deliciosa. Me encantan sus platos agridulces, así como su chow mein. Tengo que decir que mi favorito es su rollitos de primavera vegetales, podría vivir en aquellos y muy gordo! Delicioso. Han hecho su pan de gambas muy gruesas estos días y no son tan bonitos que es una lástima.

La comida es muy buena, aunque, como otros revierwers decir, tiene mucho tiempo para que nos atendieran. Nunca tuvimos una comida servida por lo que no puedo comentar sobre ese servicio. La única vez que he estado en es un viernes por la noche, y el lugar estaba predicatably abarrotada.

Best takeaway in town the food is always delicious and I am very fussy with chinese it is yummy. We always use this chinese when order a take out.

Only disovered this takeaway recently it`s a little gem.It`s tucked away in a side street so I guess their reputation is built on stourport locals visiting rather than the day-trippers who come to the town. Fantastic value for money. The food is also amazing. Staff not too friendly but they`re always under pressure so that may be the reason.

Waited well over an hour and a half for it to be delivered when we were originally told it would be 20 minutes!! Phoned 3 times asking where it was and they said it was on the way when it clearly wasn't !! Absolutely horrible service, Should not wait that long for Chinese takeaway. They gave us around a 30% discount but when the food finally came it was cold and we had to warm it up ourselves in microwave. I would describe the food as average at best and some of it poor. The meat was pretty dry.Avoid at all costs, plenty of other Chinese's in Stourport that are considerably better than this place.

The food here is good but I find the service to be very rude I've been hung up on countless times. I've waited nearly 2 and a half hours for my order which they got wrong and whilst being in the takeaway shop I've seen them purposely take the phone off the hook so no one can place an order for delivery.

Delivery or take away I find it easier to phone although you can wait a while for them to answer phone, after placing your order usually 20 mins before it's ready. Food very good and well worth waiting for. Prices good and friendly staff. I would say personally nicest in Stourport.

Every takeaway I've had from here I have really enjoyed. Me and my partner who was nearly 39 weeks pregnant had a take away from here and 30 mins after eating it her waters broke and my son was on his way! I think because he wanted another take away from China Chef haha

Been here a few times now, definitely the cheapest around and the food is very good. Nightmare to get on the phone so end up just going in to order! I guess busy means good - it's always queued out at weekends.

Probably the best take away in stourport. Sometimes a bit hard to get through when they're busy but food is good and the delivery drivers are always polite and helpfull Also well priced with no minimum order. Great news if you just want one mealWell done

Always a busy place. Food is pretty good and one of the best for chicken and mushroom curry. Quick service, always recommended you ring in the order and collect.

Order on time, service fast and efficient, very polite on phone even though you could tell she was busy! Couldn't ask for more

We rang for delivery at 6.50pm to be here for 7.30pm. The order was taken no problem. 7.50pm came I rang to see if they were running late, they just said it's already left. No apologies as I mentioned it was supposed to be delivered for 7.30pm. At 8.00pm when the dinner finally arrived I pleasantly asked the gentleman if it has been busy, the response was no I did tell him that it was due half hour ago. His words were 'well the probably couldn't understand' and walked off. The food was cold, not very nice it couldn't bare to eat it all it was that awful!! I would never go here again, this was my first and last time. The other two Chinese's in stourport are far nicer!! I have been to so many different Chinese takeaways up and down the country and this is by far the worse for the taste and even the service.

Only Chinese takeaway worth ordering from in stourport. Gets busy but food arrives in good time, good quality and good value to with no minimum order so great if you need a meal late at night fir one or two people.

We order from this Chinese nearly every week and in my opinion it's the tastiest Chinese in stourport. Although it can get very busy and they do not always answer the phone and you can be ringing for ages having said that once you get through the food is nearly always under an hour away. Also we used to get prawn crackers every time and we don't anymore but we are regular customers but oh well.

Food good quality for a very busy take away. Can't always get through on the phone to put in delivery orders. Can take a while for delivery to arrive and has been late on a couple of occasions but we still use them years on. Even if you arrange to pick up at a definite time, expect to wait. Cash only which is a bind. Very nice, local family run business.
