Outstanding flavours. I lived in Hong Kong for 13 years and this food brings back happy memories. Staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

Had a Fantastic Family Birthday meal. Ages 15 - 85 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a great selection of dishes, and they will accommodate changes to a dish if requested. Service was great as usual, Mandy is a great host and is always on hand if you need help. Another 5 star meal. Thank you Mandy, William, and Team for making it a great night to remember. Highly recommended. They also delivery the same restaurant dishes if you prefer a takeaway instead. We've had both, and love the food.

I have not visited the China Brasserie in quite a few years. They still have their usual high standards of service and food.

Always come back, food is always consistent, great set menus, top service. Thankyou will always come back for special occasions.

Another Fantastic family meal from China Brasserie. Hot and Sour soup - (No onions). Soup was full of flavour and just the right heat nice mix of meat and veg too. Chicken Satay, fantastic as usual. Tried the Mongolian Beef and Rising Sun Chicken with Singapore Vermicelli noodles. Also, Aromatic Crispy duck and classic Sweet and sour chicken with special fried rice. All wonderfully tasty. Staff are charming and always willing to modify dishes to suit dietary requirements. I'd Highly recommend trying here. It's not just an amazing restaurant but a takeaway too.

We have just bought a £60+ takeaway and I couldn’t be more disappointed, it was like eating a block of salt. Without doubt one of the worst Chinese takeaways we have ever had!!!! Terrible!!!!!!

This Chinese is a family business I have been coming here for 20 years the quality of the food is top notch and worth every penny the ambiance is relaxing and I don’t suffer from MSG side effects as everything is cooked to order and no artificial flavours. This is the best Chinese in Horsham.

This place should just give up on delivery and takeout because they can’t deal with it. I’m a regular order for delivery from China brasserie and sometimes they just don’t pick up their phone. Really gone down hill unfortunately since Yee passed away, he was amazing and always so friendly. Food is great though if you can get ahold of it

Came for dinner with some friends and ordered off the set menu (jade) with an extra of pork dumplings and the food was delicious. Really fresh, not greasy - and most importantly plenty of it!

Sadly having to give this restaurant a 1 star for the absolute rudeness of their delivery driver. My order was over 1 hour late being delivered I advised the driver I was not paying the £6 delivery charge to which he said “fine mate I’ll take your food away” which he did. I called and spoke to the manager and was told my food would be redelivered only to then be told 10mins later it wouldn’t as the driver was too busy.

1st visit. Was busy got a call to day table ready early. Food and service was amazing. Will definitely return

This is the place to go for Chinese Food, the choice of food was excellent and plenty of it, the staff were very attentive and friendly. Thank you for making my 80th birthday memorable, we shall return.

Another visit to Horsham's premier Chinese restaurant didn't disappoint. We had a table upstairs, but were not neglected - service was attentive and timely, obviously been kept an eye on our progress as different courses arrived at right times, without feeling rushed at all. And the food is very tasty - prefer ordering small plates to make the most of the culinary experience.

As good as ever !! Every dish from the jade menu was excellent as was the black pearl chicken 😊 Remains best Chinese restaurant in the area..

We love China Brasserie in Horsham. The restaurant is a cut above other local Chinese restaurants and takeaways, and the food and service is impeccable. Since a recent tragic event, we were concerned that things might go downhill due to the previous host’s wonderful manner, friendliness, and kindness towards us - he will be missed. However, I’m delighted to report that the restaurant appears to be in very good hands indeed. We were made to feel incredibly welcome, as before, and staff bent over backwards to ensure we all felt well cared for. We had a wonderful Chinese New Year meal, and the entire family was well looked-after, with special consideration given to the kids, which brought them out of their shells a bit. We all really enjoyed our meal - the food speaks for itself - it’s simply the best in the area. If you’ve been away, we’d highly recommend that you come back, and if you’ve never been, you should definitely give China Brasserie in Horsham a try!

We love the China Brasserie having been a regular for the last few years. The food is exquisite, not the typical Chinese restaurant style. Particular faves for us are the salt and chilli courgette, ma po tofu and aubergine black bean curry (as a veggie). A real credit to Horsham and always somewhere we bring our visiting friends

Really nice restaurant, with exceptional food. A suggestion would be to make the menu clearer by properly dividing certain choices, but in any case the staff were happy to help. Professional service and exquisite dishes that set this place apart for that special occasion!

Went here for the first time with friends and tried their Xmas menu. The food was outstanding and the price was very reasonable, considering the sheer amount of food we had!

Food is great and good portions. There is no heating in the front area of the restaurant so we all wore our coats.

We booked a table here for our 5th wedding anniversary◡̈ The food was incredible. It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The portions were so generous and the price was really good so overall great value for money. I’m not a big fan of putting anything negative in a review - however just a heads up … maybe this is only at the weekends but the staff seemed either too busy or uninterested. They were very attentive so always at the table but always asking have we finished yet and without a smile but maybe it was an off night and the food was so good it didn’t matter overall.

After 3 previous missed walk-in opportunities, this time we reserved a table. We live Asian cuisine, however, this was only average.

We have always loved this restaurant and its owner Yee and enjoyed many very enjoyable visits. We booked a table for Friday night before having not heard the incredibly sad news about Yee's passing. We had very mixed emotions about going after we heard the very sad news. His team however are doing him proud. The food was as delicious as always. and the atmosphere very welcoming and friendly. We would highly recommend this restaurant and hope that Yee's fantastic legacy will continue to live on.

It was with great sadness that we learnt of the untimely passing of Yee Wang who started and ran the China Brasserie for almost 25 years. Although a visit will not seem the same without Yee’s cheerful welcome and smile the excellent dishes devised by him and his dedicated team will still be as tasty.

Although they had what looked like vegetarian food on the menu they said that all food is cooked in the same wok so veggie food may be cross contamination with meat. When I suggested that an improvement would be to serve veggie food a man who told me he was the owner said that it was a Chinese restaurant not a vegetarian restaurant and was very patronising. If you want veggie food don’t eat there

Fantastic tasty takeaway lunch for 8 people to Celebrate my husbands birthday …. I chose the Jade Menu as well as a Small eat for a Vegan . Everybody loved it and couldn’t fault it at all …. Whilst ordering it in person I asked for advice and couldn’t be happier with the service

It’s a shame to leave a bad review as the place looked lovely, but if you’re vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan don’t eat here! the manager told me everything is cross contaminated in a really off putting way.

Food here was incredible. We had the War Tip dumplings, Char Shu Pork, and Xin Jian Lamb, with egg-fried rice. Gorgeous food, the lamb especially was incredible - just melted in your mouth. 100% recommend all of these dishes. Very attentive service from the staff and we were sat upstairs in a quiet area which was lovely.

We ate here recently and the food was fantastic. We had the Christmas set menu and we all really enjoyed it. We often get takeaway from this restaurant and it is definitely the place to go for Chinese food.

We went with a group of friends. The staff didn't know their own menu therefore they were unable to answer our questions. Two of us didn't have anyththing to eat for more than an hour. They forgot 3 of the mains we ordered, so we had to wait again. When the food was brought to the table it wasn't what we ordered. We were so hungry at this point we just ate it. We didn't want to pay the service charge after our experience and apparently this was not acceptable for them. We ended up not paying the service charge and then the owner was rude. It is a shame because it used to be a really good place.

I really cannot explain how great this place is. Ye, the owner is an amazing guy. The food is fantastic and it feels like you are personally looked after. I have been here 10+ times and every meal is perfect. To make matters worse I am Ceoliac....very sensitive to gluten in my food. You cannot feel safer when at the china brassiere, Ye makes sure that all of your food is safe. What makes this place different, a...it's always busy, b. The food is amazing.... C. Ye... You are a fool not to visit and eat here.

They couldn't of done anything more to make our meal so good

The food itself was of good quality; that’s the only positive about our otherwise disastrous birthday celebration. When a booking is made for evening opening time and multiple dishes have been booked and paid for in advance one would expect to not have to wait an inordinate amount of time for food to arrive, although the waiting staff were very quick to take and deliver drinks orders… We were a large birthday celebration party of about 15 people, arriving exactly as the place opened and numerous dishes had been ordered in advance for the group to share. I’m sorry to say this ‘restaurant’ didn’t have a clue. The waiting staff seemed very young and inexperienced. After a long wait one small bowl of food was served at one end of the long thin table so that once 2 or 3 people had taken a portion there was nothing left for anyone else. There was then a delay of at least 10 minutes and another small bowl of some other dish was served exactly the same way. And after this had happened several times they brought out the crispy aromatic duck (fortunately there was enough of this to go round, but then plenty had been ordered) and later the same system of bringing out a single dish at intervals was resumed. Ludicrous. The reason no complaint was made at the time was that the person whose birthday it was didn’t want to make a fuss for fear of being embarrassed. One would think that if a party of people are attending and numerous dishes to share have been arranged in advance a restaurant would have the sense to bring the dishes out at the same time to the table so everyone can choose at the same time. This could have been done with the starter dishes, then the crispy aromatic duck, then the main courses. Sadly the portion sizes are very small here as well. Some of our party stayed on to order more food, and one of those was still so hungry when they left that they had to buy more food on the way home. And although I informed our ‘waiter’ on arrival that it was a special birthday no special acknowledgment was given at all. I have been here before when they did add to the occasion; but as I’ve already mentioned, they didn’t have a clue this time around.

Great ambience Food was great, not greasy and everything was really tasty . 5 stars for the food , 4 stars for the service. Very young waiters we had on the night have lots to learn, especially around how to carry dishes without putting their fingers into bowls/food 😃 having said that they were polite and trying very hard. Toilets need a deep clean . We will be back as food was lovely. Thank you .

Ate there tonight , taken upstairs to a tiny quiet room with the temperature of a walk in fridge and zilch atmosphere . Food was nice and our waiter was good fun. We made up 4 of the 6 people in the room and after an extra heater was asked for and provided the ambience was still like your grannies funeral. We would return if guaranteed a seat down stairs .Happy new year. 🐇

We had the pre-theatre menu which was excellent - a choice of starter, a main and a rice or noodle side dish. Lots of choice, reasonable sized portions and great quality and taste. Very helpful staff. Lovely decor. Overall a great meal, in a relaxed and contemporary restaurant environment. Would highly recommend.

Seven of us went here for a pre theatre meal. Had preordered food and a drink each as limited time......everything was done with speed and efficiency with no lack of service or quality of food. Very pleased.

My wife and I took our son for a birthday meal and he (and us) throughly enjoyed it. The welcome was warm the service very attentive the food was award winning quality. Our drinks were delivered quickly and we were offered more regularly. All-in-all the perfect night and the perfect meal. It’s not the cheapest but for what we had I was happy to pay the premium. Thank you everyone at the China Brasserie.

Delicious courses here. The husband says it was the best duck he has ever had. We were with locals and they are regulars there.

We are always greeted very warmly by the owner in this restaurant and on this visit had a fabulous table right next to the fish tank. The food was absolutely delicious..crispy duck, wasabi king prawns and pork belly. Good size portions and well presented. Great service too and overall Very enjoyable visit…highly recommend.

Love eating at this place, and use to love the Sunday buffet that they used to do. Now they no longer do that it has become a couples, not a family place, as too expensive.

Honestly the best chinese food I've ever had. Nitpicking: I noticed a stain on the chopsticks and my lemonade wasn't chilled. The ambient noise was quite loud after 2 parties filled the room, there's little a business can do to minimise that, id maybe invest in some noise cancelling and hang it from the ceiling (seen it in other restaurants) Service was very professional, 10% tip is included.

We had hot and sour soup. It was so sour we had to add honey. The Chow Mein was just wrong; it looked like Won Ton noodles had been used. The chicken in the curry was so dry that it was inedible. I'm not sure...

I often eat at the China Brasserie and the food and service are always excellent, there is a wide choice of starters and main courses all of which are tasty and well prepared and always served with a smile. Thank you Yee and staff

My wife visited the China Brasserie for the first time in over 15 years and were not disappointed. We shared the Hors D' oeurves and enjoyed all of the elements although I thought that the sauce on the honey barbecue spare ribs was dominated by...

Such a shame was recommended, but the service was like Adams family. Food like sweet cardboard...the owner was not bothered when I mentioned it.

I'd been looking forward to trying out this restaurant for a while. As a nut allergy sufferer I always check out menus in advance to see if they look suitable. The China Brasserie was no exception and the menu on their website looked promising, (N) symbols by food I wouldn't be able to eat and a friendly message at the top asking to be made aware of any allergies. When we arrived I told our waitress that I has an allergy but to have nuts in the kitchen was fine, I just couldn't eat them. She asked me if cross contamination was ok to which I answered that it wasn't, I physically can't eat them. She went to talk to chef who told her he would be using the same ladles etc between dishes. That was that really, we had no choice but to leave the restaurant. Our waitress was apologetic but the rest of the staff completely ignored us. It was a surprising and outdated experience.

Great Chinese restaurant. Staff are really friendly and the manager on the front door is an absolute gentleman. The menu is labelled really well as my partner is coeliac and it helps not having to ask to the staff what is gluten free. Food has always came out amazing and we have travelled from Norfolk to just come here as the food is by far the best we have had. Would highly recommend.

Food and service are always great heavens in a busy night.Very tasty starters and the choices are there to please every palates from saour to sweet or spicy, same as the main course.

After driving 2hours down from London with my 4month old for my nephews birthday meal, i was greeted by being told id have to leave my pram in the reception area even tho they said the baby was welcome i tried to explain that he was too young for a baby seat and was currently sleeping so i couldnt leave the pram unattended the man still continued to say no without attempting to offer a solution when i became clearly frustrated and exasperated and mentioned that I'd driven 2hours to be there he didnt care. And because of me understandably voicing my anger at the situation he told my whole family they had to leave, never have i felt so unwelcome and penalised for having my baby with me, disgusting man!

This restaurant has no soul, it employs teenagers with no personality or ability to make eye contact and they bring really forgettable food. Very disappointing. A very muddled restaurant that really needs to have a think about what they want to do / achieve

Yee and his team excelled themselves today for our annual family Christmas visit. The service was top notch and the new additions to the menu are delicious. We've been regulars at the China Brasserie for 20 years now and it just keeps getting better and better.

Had a great take away. Quality of the food is a cut above some other Chinese take aways. Staff are also great, totally recommend. I never give anyone a 5 but this was pretty close. I would give 4.5 but TripAdvisor doesn't let me.

We ordered the Hong Kong set meal along with Champagne Super Nova King Prawns as a take away yesterday evening. It was a real treat. So fresh tasting and delicious.

Went to the China Brasserie on a Wednesday evening around 7:30pm and were lucky to get a table - the place was packed so booking a few days in advance is recommended. We ordered a couple of Chinese beers and the Bejing set meal at £37.50 per person. When the dishes arrived and we started eating we were soon complimenting ourselves on our choice. The food was superb ! This place has been around for more years than I care to mention ( I must have first ventured in here 40 years ago) and it always been the number one Chinese in Horsham - that only happens for a reason. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Top quality Chinese food, the best I have had for a looong time. This does come at a slightly higher price though, not the cheapest in town 😊 Mildly let down by inexperienced staff but promptly rectified by management. Overall a prime place to enjoy authentic Chinese food, highly recommended.

Really good takeaway meal - lots of variety and actual identifiable flavours. A lot of food from their set "Hong Kong" menu, and they followed the delivery instructions!
