China Banquet buffet restaurant in Hounslow

I'm at sat here at my table, nothing on the buffet to eat apart from noodles, kept asking the waitresses about food and was told 10 minutes,...Still waiting...Dirty Plates everywhere, the customers had to be clearing their own tables. This place used to be good but I don't know what happened...NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAD TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING IN ENTRANCE!!! RIP OFF!!!!

Recently went to this buffet. It now has new owners. It used to be £9.00 on a Saturday. Now they charging £17.00 nearly double. The food was cold and sections available wasn’t as much as it was when costing £9.00 per person. £2.50 for half a pint of coke!! Extortion

Before you go to eat at this restaurant ensure that you have eaten beforehand. More empty buffet dishes than those that had food in them. The food that was on offer was extremely poor quality and cold. Worse Chinese meal ever. Only saw two staff, both women and only one of which could speak English; one on reception and behind bar and the other clearing tables. Used to be good but has seriously gone downhill and needs to be avoided at all costs. Will never go back. Oh, and they only take cash, tells you everything!

Love the reviews of the China Buffet/Thames restaurant IT CLOSED OVER A YEAR AGO!!!!! It has been Sauki a primarily sushi/tepanyaki restaurant for over six months since a total strip out and refit. It is NOT a cheap buffet anymore!

We'd been here many years before and popped by for a meal between Christmas the New Year. Unfortunately, they don't do a buffet at lunchtime due to the covid restrictions, but that worked in our favour as all the food was cooked fresh and to order. Despite some slow service, we cannot fault the food that arrived or the quantity. They judged the servings really well as unlike a buffet where your eyes are too big for your belly, there was very little waste or leftovers on our plates. The highlight was the freshly cooked toffee banana dessert with caramel ice cream! We will be back at the weekend when hopefully the full buffet will be operating again.

This place used to be fantastic, however it seems to have changed ownership and it’s now a pale imitation of what used to be, it possibly should have rung some alarm bells when trying to ring the restaurant and make a reservation and finding the phone number inoperable and website taken down. A lot of the food was not good quality and very limited and what food there was took a very long time to be replenished when it had run out, the spectacle of bewildered customers wandering around hunting for food would have been funny if I wasn’t also doing the same thing, very sad to see how much this place had changed, will not be returning.

Very bad food. Don’t eat in there. My boyfriend didn’t want to eat and they wanted to charge him even he wasn’t eating. The toilets were disgusting. It was the shortest visit to a buffet. Won’t go again to this China buffet.

I work there like a wheiter and the food it's rubbish they take the food when restaurant close and wahsh and after nezeday use again the same food I can provide with photo chef go toilet and after come back don't wahs they hands its rubbish believe me I called many time to complain about that but no one believes me so please no go there I work for a year there please people believe me about what I say thank you

During this difficult time, the restaurant still keep high quality food to serve customers. I’m happy to came back.

The buffet table seems to me to have gone out of fashion, so it was good to encounter the Oriental buffet at the China Banquet in Brentford. I was in the area for a business appointment and, looking for somewhere for lunch and to get in out of the rain, I happened upon the China Banquet and was very glad that I did. The restaurant is a long room which accommodates the buffet counters for most of its length. There are two sides and an unimaginable array of different dishes. It's help yourself time and for most diners it's a free for all. I must admit I went around it twice. Impossible to list everything but I enjoyed the Chicken & corn soup, the Vegetable spring rolls, Satay chicken, Pork ribs, Thai roast pork, Chow mein vermicelli, Indonesian chicken wings, Chicken curry, Tempura vegetables and much more including fried or boiled rice, broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms etc. And if you fancy something quite different from the Asian specialities, there's pasta, pizza, chips and Yorkshire puddings too! The story doesn't end there because there is a range of desserts such as jelly, fresh fruit, cream puddings and toffee bananas. For an endless lunch you pay just £8.50 for all you can eat. It is dearer in the evening but then there's also Sushi on the menu. Pleasantly surprised by my delicious lunch, I cannot recommend China Banquet too highly.

Chose a bad day to go for lunch it was pouring down amazingly there is No parking around. I sent my friend in to ask about the parking and was told the nearest was at Morrisons which is a good walk. Any ways we get there and the waiter is trying to tell me something it was that they only took Cash. We sat it was a large place not busy at all. I got my self a small salad to get me going I must say there was a large selection of food. I tried small portions of and was impressed. The Ribs Good, the Wings So So, Had some Duck not bad, the whole idea of lunch to try it and bring in a elder group from my building so I met with the manager who I felt was not friendly at all it seemed he had attitude problem. As far the cost it was well worth it.

Our grandchildren really enjoyed the opportunity to choose their favorite foods. I being a grumpy grandpa, was disappointed the food wasn't warmer.

been here 10 x. yesterday got there 12 sharp for sunday lunch.,me , a friend and 2 kids. i am on diet so i said food for 3. waiter said. "you sit, you pay, food or no food!" What a joke! I said, i have spent £500 here in the past and another £50 coming today. Yopu want me to stand in storm dennis outside while my kids eat in here. he said "yes..you sit , you pay" I asked for the manager. "not here" I said i will never set foot here again, and you know i will review you,. He walked off. There was nobody else in the place and he refused to serve us. Fools. In this day and age you will will get blasted al over the internet. The place is not so good that i cannot find a befter place withing a 4 min drive. absolute jokers.

We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened as Thames. Recently it has been taken over by new owners and since then the standard of food as gone down. Every time we visit there is something missing from the buffet. The staff and management are still very helpful and professional but the quality of food is now very disappointing. Favourite food items are taken off the menu all the time. As regular loyal customers we are now having to look elsewhere to go to eat. Very unhappy and disappointed customers.

Was really happy. They have changed a name, added more dishes that are really delicious. Definitely will go back soon.

The food was amazing. plenty of choice, Unbelievable have this restaurant in Brentford. Value for money. I’ll highly recommend.
