Chilli Mangoes in Wigan

We had a large party of 42 people- Chilli Mangoes were excellent. The food arrived very promptly, and the large order was very well-organised. Food was excellent as well- I can highly recommend the Chicken Jalfrezi. Staff were wonderful and accommodated our every need!

Visited in a group. We were early and it wasn't busy. Food ranged between ok and poor. My chicken had an awful texture. They made a mistake with the order and the waiter was a little grumpy when we asked him to rectify it. The bill was very reasonable, but I'd rather pay more and have nicer food. Won't be returning.

We visited here 28 December 22 after reading all the excellent reviews. Our table was booked for 6 the staff were lovely and the decor is good we were taken to our table and were served promptly with our drinks . When we placed our order we waited 45 mins for our starter after being offered food which was for another table. Out starter was cold but we waited that long so we still ate it as we were starving ! We waited almost an hour for our main after we finished our starter we were on the verge of walking out before it arrived . The main was tasty but Luke warm . The place wasn’t busy but there was confusion with other orders on other tables and it was a little uncomfortable when the staff were arguing over who’s fault it was ! The staff were nice and polite throughout and were offering free drinks as an apology which we refused as spending over 2 hours in there was enough !

We have been here a few times and every single time it's been fantastic everything from the food to the staff and the decor. It has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk in and the staff are so welcoming. The food is amazing and excellent value for money £14.99 for a starter, main, rice and Naan bread. There is also an outside terrace area you can have drinks even eat there if you prefer which has a lovely vibe. If you haven't tried here you are missing out.

Was really looking forward to this one, but came away feeling desperately disappointed. We booked in for a pre-concert meal but almost had to leave without having our food because the service was so slow. Despite there being lots of waiters moving around the restaurant floor, only one single waitress seemed able to take orders for food, and she was rushed off her feet, which meant we had to wait quite a while just to order our meal. We then waited around an hour for our starter to arrive, and then after waiting a similar length of time for our mains, we were told the delay was due to a mix-up with our order. When it did arrive, a few of the items were wrong, and we ended up having to rush the meal quickly in order to leave for the concert. Part of the frustration was that, as time ticked on and we became more anxious (and seeing people arrive, eat and then leave before us), we were constantly asking staff for the status of our meal, they would head off to the kitchen to find out, but then not come back to us; we'd see the same waiters serving tables later on without even acknowledging that we were waiting for an update from them. When we came to settle, the staff did acknowledge there had been issues, but the confusing response just made matters worse. What I assume was the manager told us we'd get 10% off as an apology, then the waitress arrived and offered us free dessert instead (and seemed confused when we refused), and then when the bill did finally arrive, we'd been given 5% off. It just felt chaotic. The food was OK, but felt expensive for what it was; the £14.99 set menu sounded good in principle, but the receipt was padded with lots of additional extras (i.e. an extra £4 for a chicken dish and an extra £6.50 for a Tikka Massala!?). We were in such a rush to get away that we didn't challenge it as much as we should have, but in hindsight, it just left us feeling that, as well as poor service, we'd been a little ripped off.

I have been here a couple of times now and the food has also been amazing. Full of flavour and the right amount of spice. The service is faultless

Friendly staff, the place is decorated brilliantly and has a relaxed, cool vibe. We got the Thali Thursday special for £14.99, the food came out fast and hot and everything was delicious and thought out. We got a mango tango cocktail too and they were beautiful and refreshing! We will definitely be back, if your thinking about going, just go and you won't regret it!

We visited on a Thurs night for the Thali special and ended up getting a few starters too. Everything was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was fresh, hot and quickly served. We will definitely be returning.

Another fantastic Visit! Been here multiple times now with Mr Lumsden and family and it just keeps getting better and better. Fantastic food and staff! Food is amazing and the new addition of Indian pizzas is unreal! Can’t think of a nicer Indian around. If you visit on a weekend the roof top bar and terrace is fantastic, fire pits, music and live band on Fridays! You need to visit!

We are regulars now at Chilli Mangoes it's our absolute favourite. We were there again lastnight the food and service is just outstanding. I had beef dry fry to start, this is a MUST it's so delicious, the flavours are insane. For main meal I had paneer masala with tikka rice, spicy chips (the best) and a garlic/cheese naan. The restaurant it's self is so gorgeous and always has a great atmosphere. We sometimes take a little girl who is also a big fan of Chilli Mangoes, so it's definitely ideal for the whole family. The staff are always so friendly and give top class service. We highly recommend this hidden gem. Everything about it is just perfect.

Awesome place for friends and family, couple or solo. Wanted to have a taste of Indian street food and went to the right place. Food taste was fabulous, specially chicken chat samosas and paneer chat. The Madras hot and spicy dish "Duck Jal Rushun" was spectacular, even has a shesha bar and terrace out upstairs. People are very Nice and friendly, got the best service as well. Definitely coming back.
