The garlic naan I ordered was not a garlic naan but plain. Very annoying. The lamb in the shaktora was very fatty and quite though. Pakoras decent.

Hi, our order was incorrect. We received a prawn dish not the paneer dish ordered.

Ordered prawn puri and prawn biryani just to let you know this is not how both products are meant to taste the food from here is bland and nasty if you are Bengali do not order from here it won’t satisfy your tastebuds. The biryani was one of the worst I have had tasted like bhat biraan with smelly prawns inside. Horrible stay away 🤢

Abysmal food, AVOID. I’m staying in Stratford for work and ordered from my hotel. Chicken tikka chilli garlic, more like chicken curry with fresh sliced garlic cloves and chillies thrown on top. Pilau rice came out all white with green bits and tasted sweet. I paid for a mint sauce which I didn’t receive. The naan felt shop bought and reheated instead of fresh from the clay oven. I ended up throwing the food away and going to the local convenience store to buy snacks instead. Very disappointing

I ordered 1 chicken biryani and 1 lamb biriyani but was delivered 2 chicken biriyani's. So i was charged £2 extra.

I ordered a home delivery. Samosa came with lovely fresh salad and dip. Lamb madras, plain nann, and egg fried rice, omg, the flavours, texture and heat were just perfect. The delivery man was so sweet. I don’t live here, I’m visiting, I’ll definitely be recommending you to my family on their return. Thank you, keep up the good work 👍

Everything was flavoursome and delicious, the cauliflower may have been cooked a bit too long as it just tasted a bit watered down but overall really nice

Butter chicken didn't have cubes of chicken in as I would expect. It was as if the chicken was ripped off a leg of chicken so like shredded. The sauce was also grainy and not smooth and sooo greasy. They did give us a big pot of mango chutney which was welcome but we thought instead of the naff keyring they threw in, we would have preferred some complimentary raita/extra poppadom. Really underwhelming :(

Tikka chilli garlic was alright. The pilau rice was very good but the onion bhaji was too crispy/almost burnt.

I was looking forward to the naan but it came burnt and very very bad

Was a bit disappointing that the ice cream was out of stock, which ultimately resulted in the restaurant taking away my minimum spend discount. Nonetheless the food was excellent, one of the best lamb bhuna's I've ever had, but would have gone down better with a dessert.

I was dissapointed with the Chicken tikka dansak and sag aloo was pretty bland. The last time I ordered the food was amazing and it was only a few days ago. Delivery came early which was good.

I waited two hours to receive my food from the time I placed the order. It was incredibly late. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular I have had better. At least the lamb in the curry was tender. I wouldn't order from here again even if I didn't have that ridiculous wait.

Food is good quality. Usually other indian restaurants the popodam tastes off and old. Popodams from here taste nice and fresh. Little things like that makes such a huge difference, definitely ordering again.

Absolutely brilliant food yet again

My food was ALL OVER THE BAG, none of it was inside the box. Just eat are reviewing my refund request, but the restaurant was no help over the phone. The man that answered the phone was trying to get me off, he wasn’t very cooperative.

I'm almost certain my lamb Karahi was actually beef. And if that's the case, somebody should sue you. Naan burned, paratha dry and tasteless.

The food is great, but this restaurant always let themselves down by not completing the order. If they haven’t forgotten something, today they forget something else. Today was the mint sauce which is key to the dish. It’s things like this which will make me reconsider ordering here again

I have used Chilli Garlic for the last 4 years and whilst not a monthly takeaway consumer, their food is consistently excellent. Unfortunately this last order, due to a variety of reasons the delivery time was significantly longer than just eat had quoted - 30 - 45 minutes. We placed the order at 8.40pm. According to the quote we would receive food at 9.10pm - 9.25pm. It was received and accepted by the restaurant at 8.48pm. At 9.50pm I called the restaurant to enquire where the food was as this was then a 15 minute delay on the quoted time, they informed me they were extremely busy and that they were shortstaffed, the orders were delayed further and could not give me an accurate time but promised as quickly as possible... I then get a text from just eat to inform me of said delay... The food arrived at 10.30pm - 1hour and 50minutes after the order was placed, and 1hour 20minutes later than quoted. Obviously this was pretty disappointing, mainly because of the lateness of the dinner arriving as we had no alternatives for food because anything else would have been even later, so the birthday evening had been marred by this which is a real shame as the food is very very good from Chilli Garlic.

Best Indian food tried after long time.

Asked for my vindaloo to be made hotter, as a phal wasn’t an option, it tasted OK. It wasn’t particularly spicy and a little salty, edible though. Onion bhajis were OK, lacked a little seasoning but again, we ate them so they weren’t awful. I’ve had better Indian takeaways but I’ve had plenty worse too in all fairness. Went here because my usual place was shut for the night and I’ve ordered from here before. Delivery driver was courteous, bang on time, free bottle of drink

I ordered the basmati rice & lamb madras it was very nice and full of flavour but the only thing I would say is you guys should remove some of the fat off the lamb but other than that it was lovely

I order from here regularly, have tried quite a lot of different places in the area and this is my joint favourite so far - with Indian Butler (which is less consistent than Chilli Garlic I think). The sauce you get with the onion baji is delicious. Some people mention that sometimes the baji's aren't too hot when they arrive - just put them in the oven for a bit and they will be good ; ) I would say the food usually ranges between good and very good. My last curry I got here (Pathia and Dansak) wasn't the best I have had from here and tasted pretty much the same as each other - it was too spicy for my partner (who usually likes spicy food). But this was 1 meal out of many and I have just ordered from them again tonight and am looking forward to some deliciousness.

The lamb in the curry £7.25 was so tough you could not eat it I threw it all away so had sauce with luke warm onion bhajis and bombay Aloo. Never again will I order from here and will be issuing a refund request.

Using for 1st time n was truly impressed, food was lovely n hot ,delivery man pleasant n closed both my gates as he found them unlike other who meet it closed but leave it open.. my chefs special was lovely delicately flavoured, chicken ? Masala

Food is good however I would classify this as Bangladeshi food (Sylheti to be precise) Dropped an extra star due to late delivery.

Beautiful food! It's been a while since I was able to find a decent biryani that's not too overpowered with chilli and not too bland. This exceeded all of my expectations and was perfect. All the meat was tender in the lamb biryani and the chicken tikka masala. The paratha was just right aswell. Very happy and will definitely be ordering from here again

The Rogan Josh is great but the samosa is not that crispy. Would recommend it generally.

Items were missing from the order, when called asked to check delivery at which point I told them my items were definitely missing. Then he said my food is still on the rack. Offered to deliver or refund. Food that came was good. Double check before sending out delivery's as the item missing was the main thing I wanted and was to be used with the other food delivered

Nice food but after ordering a starter, plus paying for 2 x popadoms, no onion, green salad came with it! Very disappointed as standard with any other takeaway.

Gutted you don’t deliver to me anymore. Food was the best. Not been able to find a Indian close that matches you’re food. Miss it!!

Absolutely delicious as always. The food arrived early, piping hot. The paneer tikka is incredible! But everything is really good. Never disappoints.

We have been customers of this little East end gem for many years now and the reasons are simple: always delicious food (cooked from fresh, great flavours, not greasy food), good size portions and good customer service! We have introduced our family and friends to this restaurant and they always look forward to visiting it whenever they are in London.

This place makes incredible vegetable dishes.

Food was actually terrible. Two curries tasted old and had absolutely no flavour.. the popadoms were all stale and old the onion bhajis we’re swimming in oil. Only thing edible was samosa. Over £40 worth of food had to be thrown away

Thought I'd give Chilli Garlic a review during the lockdown. They're still providing great food although take aways only. The restaurant itself doesn't wow to look at but I have to say the food is always spot on and never fails to be delicious. The staff are always so polite and friendly. I can highly recommend and really good value for money. You won't be disappointed

Food wasnt very nice butter chicken was more like a fikka the korma wasnt creamer was no taste the onion bargy was over cooked the nan was realy thick and under cooked sorry want be ordering from there again

Food was absolutely terrible flavourless. Main dish was very poor felt like some who never cooked before made the meal. Biryani was just pilau rice with few meat in it. It’s a no no for me

Nothing was nice apart from the Rice and Naan - must have unsure why there was 3 whole onions in my Balti but it was not nice.

Curry was watery tasteless chicken was hard and chewy seriously bad food

This is our local take away and they do not disappoint. Today was by far the best meal we have had, so much so that I don’t have any leftovers for my lunch tomorrow. The delivery person is always happy delivering our order - bonus. Thumbs up
