Totally over rated, burger was dry and tasteless. No ice bucket for our Prosecco had to ask twice, one of the glasses had a chip. Dessert was lovely but it was just a brownie nothing special. Expected so much more very disappointed .

I went for a nice dinner with my boyfriend and the night was beyond incredible. The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the impeccable customer service. We were greeted by Greta who was very warm and inviting as soon as walked through the door. As for the food, we were looked after by Saad who had some incredible food and cocktail recommendations. The pesto lasagne was a dream. It was my first night around the Limehouse canals and the conversations with Greta and Saad really made our night fantastic. They were so friendly, made us laugh, and we had an amazing time and our best date yet. Thank you sooo so much to the wonderful staff for a sublime evening. What a night. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, everything were perfect and I cant wait to go back!

Looking for a place for dinner late on a Sunday evening and this place popped up. No idea it was a Gordon Ramsay restaurant until we walked up. I ordered the Tangerine Spice Berry Soda and the Courgette and Basil Pasta and was very happy with both. The only sad part of my meal was when I finished plate. Leaving with a full stomach and a happy heart.

Cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I visited with my partner after eyeing up the place for a while and have to say - it was amazing. Food was top notch, the GFC burger was so tasty and a generous portion too. Cocktails were also sublime. And THE SERVICE. Honestly, possibly the best service I’ve ever had - staff were incredibly friendly and you can just tell they love what they do. Big shout out to Ellyes especially who provided our table with outstanding and friendly service that I’ll remember for a very long time. If you’re on the fence about trying this place - DO IT. I and my fiancé came for dinner last night around 8:30pm on Friday 18/10/24 to celebrate our engagement. I ordered roast cod cost over £20+ and it’s was disgusting salty, very disappointed because I was very hungry and I expected Gordon Ramsay restaurant would have professional chef to cook much better than myself, I told the manager there and she came back and told us they tried it and agreed it’s was very salty and only took £8+ off our bill when the roast cid dish was £20+ and ruin our night. 2ndly: me and my fiancé are not happy with the new waiter because when my fiancé finish his red wine and waiter asked if he want another and is the wine taste nice? My fiancé replied “wine taste nice but I don’t want to order another.” And then the waiter replied “that’s mean the wind not nice?” This comment made my fiancé shockingly stunt of disgusted because he has never have this rubbish comment from a waiter before. Then the same new waiter came and asked us if we want hot drinks after our dessert? I replied that the manager already came to take our order for hot drink and it’s not come yet. And the waiter replied “yeah I can see that!” I find that’s very rude comment and he need more training before come out to serve customers. He asked us and we just replied the update and he replied rudely like that. Seriously the food and the service really disappointed us, for us to chose special to our engagement. Not great night and ruin our celebration.

The restaurant offers fantastic river views and a pleasant atmosphere, though it can be quite noisy due to the glass walls and ceiling, which amplify the sound of 50 conversations at once. Some carpeting would significantly improve the acoustics. The service was adequate, but the food was rather mediocre.

Came here for a pre-show meal (Gipsy Kings at The Troxy). Steak cooked to perfection, daughter found the naan with her curry too oily. In terms of service, we had a bi-polar experience. Initial service was slow, waited to order and food took a long time to come. Due to a busy lunchtime service, there were no roasts available, but nobody thought to tell us until the point of ordering. When it came to desserts, we were served by Greta who was a stand-out star and displayed gold standard customer service skills. Again some items we had ordered were 'off', we were comped our desserts with no quibble. All in all, a good experience that could have been great had the serving team shown better cohesion. One of the other ladies serving had quite a haughty and dismissive demeanour. The wonderful Greta made a substantial regain and made us feel welcome and we left happy customers.

We had high expectations for Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Bar, being fans of both Ramsay and *Kitchen Nightmares*. Given his expertise on TV, we expected a top-notch experience. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. The beef wellington, which we were excited to try, was just okay—nothing special. The presentation was very good. The Caesar salad with chicken was also underwhelming. Overall, a bit disappointing for such a highly regarded name..

My partner and I went here for dinner on Sunday and we were sadly disappointed. We were told that the Sunday Roast had ended a couple of hours prior and was no longer being served so we both ordered medium rare steak and wine. We then proceeded to both be served the wrong wine entirely followed by steaks that were medium the whole way through as well as so gristly and fatty that despite being one of my partners favourite dishes, he ended up having to leave a large proportion on his plate as he struggled to even get his knife through it. To make matters worse, we then saw two separate tables being served Sunday roasts shortly afterwards. After our meal it took quite a while for the bill to be brought out after it was requested despite not being very busy, and then we were asked to calculate the exact value of our percentage tip on the spot while the waitress stood there holding the card reader. I'm sure the rest of the menu is lovely as some of the other dishes did sound nice, but I would either avoid the steak or simply visit a proper steakhouse instead. And maybe don't ask for wine either, as it's not an insignificant amount to spend just to end up drinking the wrong thing.

Where do I even begin? My husband and I are absolutely thrilled with our experience at Bread Street Kitchen Limehouse! Almost a year ago, we stumbled upon this beautiful restaurant while out for a walk, and we instantly knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding. It felt like a sign, and it truly was the perfect choice. The organization and attention to detail were exceptional. At no point did I worry about anything going wrong—the whole day was seamless. With 90 guests, I was concerned about logistics, but the team was incredibly professional and handled everything with such care. The food exceeded our expectations, and the variety of options ensured everyone was happy. The staff was outstanding—friendly, fun, and blended right into the celebration while staying unobtrusive. Special shout-out to Alison, Luiza, Elle, Saad, Greta, Donatas, and Robert, who made the day unforgettable! The location, the venue, and the service were truly remarkable. The worst meal I’ve ever had out. The food is very poor quality for such a premium price. We were shocked they’ve gotten away with charging so much for so little. £17 for bangers and mash there was a palm sized amount of mash and sausages which were far worse then those that could be bought from a supermarket. The £15 Caesar salad has no chicken, 4 anchovies and honestly just consisted of only lettuce smothered in standard mayonnaise. There was nothing else to it. Irony is that it’s the type of restaurant that would appear on Gordon Ramseys Hell’s Kitchen. The whole menu is extremely underwhelming and basic pub food done to a poor quality.

Made a reservation to eat here on Sunday evening, August 18. The location on the Thames is beautiful, especially at dusk. It was not busy inside and the place we were assigned was not ideal because of a pillar that was a bit awkward. The dishes consisted of Fish & Chips (2x) and a burger. The quality of the food was fine. In our opinion, the service could have been a little better. Not that it was bad. It took a long time before we received the menu, then to order. And the payment also took some time. It's not all that bad, sometimes it makes all the difference how you experience it.

The food was not tasty or delicious at all, we ordered appetizeres, and they were very bad, any resturant makes wings a lot better than the ones they served, and the culiflower was also below normal. the steaks were also below normal, they were normal to a point where I can make a lot better in my own home, better by far. The salads were also below average, any resturant is better than this one. When I asked them to clean my table because it was dirty, they took a tissue with no water, and wiped the remaining food of the previous customer in the table, and made it even worse, it was really a very bad experience, and when we ordered beef wellington in our reservation, which was about 2 months ago, we discovered that they did not have it for us, we flew from another country for this experience and it was very bad.

Terrible Service and Overpriced Food I recently visited Bread Street Kitchen and had a very disappointing experience. Despite the place being empty, it took over an hour to prepare our order of cod bites, chicken wings, and a salad. The food was just okay, but the salad was a rip-off – £17 for a tiny portion with only four lettuce leaves and two anchovies. When I asked about the delay for the rest of our order, the waitress informed us it would be another 20 minutes for two burgers and was not nice at all. She told me I should have informed her if we were in a rush, to which I replied that I wasn’t expecting the food to take so long. I’ve had much better salads at takeout places for a fraction of the price. This experience felt like a scam and I won't be returning.

Despite ordering a full meal, I left the restaurant still feeling hungry. The prices are ridiculously high for the quality of food and service provided. I can honestly say, "Gordon Ramsay, I can cook better!" Overall, the service was subpar, and the food quality was terrible. I expected much better and will not be returning. We had family dinner here. The prices are steep for what is essentially pub food, but I assumed it would be great given it’s a Ramsay name. We shared a variety of starters. Most were good however the wagyu meatballs were overdone and had the consistency of bullets. I did explain to the waitress, she apologised and said they would be taken off the bill. They were not. She didn’t bother asking how our mains were. I had the thai red curry. The sauce was very watery and lacked flavour. The macaroni cheese was bland and did not taste like it contained cheese. The cod was cooked nicely but needed punchey flavours. The only decent mains were the fish and chips. The views in the conservatory was nice, the wine was good which it should have been given the incredible mark up. Would I go back? At £75 a head for 2 poorly cooked courses and wine? No.

£5.25 for a coke. :( £17 for a butter chicken curry that doesn’t come with rice or anything, just a small portion of chicken and curry sauce lathered over it . I could get a meal of the same quality yet half the price and twice the portion size pretty much anywhere else.

We recently visited the Ramsay Limehouse restaurant and were really impressed. We started with a couple delicious cocktails and proceeded to order a couple seafood starters - big mention to the ceviche! And then shared the infamous idiot sandwich and cod. Both great. I believe we were served by new manageress Talia ( I believe that’s her name ). She was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming again on a sunnier day.

The food is very mediocre, not what you would expect from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant & the service was appalling! My husband (who isn’t a chef) cooks better! The gazpacho was a small portion & was too spicy. The seabream was bland, coconut rice too sweet, panna cotta too sweet & runny. No interesting flavoured mocktails. I had to request the bill 3 times! There was a waitress with long straight dark hair who was really unfriendly and kept rolling her eyes at us because we attended with our 2 year old son. It made us feel judged & unwelcome. Would not return. Also, the same waitress brought us the wrong bill, which was £468 instead of £68 and muttered a “sorry”. Absolutely appalling. Gordon Ramsay, you need to hire better staff! You’ve lost our business & recommendations to our friends because of poor staff attitude.

We went at 18:30 on a Saturday evening with friends. Waitress began by telling us they didn’t have ingredients for 3 mains and 2 starters on the menu! This can only be due to poor management. Starters were good. Then once an hour had passed before the mains arrived we chased these with the waiter. He told us they only had one chef. WTF - busy restaurant that’s part of a chain with others nearby - again poor management. 3 mains came out minus the sides. Prawn curry was cold and was sent back. My main arrived 10 mins after the others. Fairly bland. Gordon, you might want to spend less time making tv programmes and more time managing your restaurant. We won’t be coming back.

Disappointing visit - I can't believe this was £100 a head meal. Following an excellent visit to another Bread Street restaurant, my husband bought me a Beef Wellington experience for my birthday. We were in the restaurant for 2hrs 50 mins for a 3 course meal. No real explanation as to why things were taking so long, and it wasn't even busy! 25 minutes before our welcome drink arrived. The beef wellington wasn't very well presented and looked like it had been sliced in a rush. Perhaps they were a staff member down and were following a lunch rush, but it was a very odd experience and a bit of a let down. I will say that the staff were all very friendly, just to contrast other negative reviews that say the staff were rude. This definitely wasn't the case.

Fantastic courtesy provided by Chiara, Greta, Elle. Cannot fault - real people handling the usually ignorant public. Hats off to those girls!

Leaves a great deal to be desired. We came with my wife as a gift experience, and we were both so hopeful. After sitting down we ordered our starters which arrived after 1 hour. In the meantime the new staff members were constantly messing up orders, I ended up going to the bar to get my own drinks, and finally after 2.5 hoirs we got the bill that was... Wrong! And included 16 pounds service charge. I asked the service charge to be removed and the bill to be corrected, and then the waitress just left... after about 10 minutes I walked up and ended up paying at the bar... She also gave me a look as I walked there. The food is really nice, the atmosphere is good, but the whole experience is ruined by untrained and rude staff. At this price, look elsewhere

Dave and Matt behind the bar are a credit to this place. Visited again in June 2024 and did not realise they allowed dogs inside main restaurant. Was put off by watching a dog with both paws on a table begging for food. Waiting staff were proud to admit they were dog friendly..

Excellent view and atmosphere. Very good food. Service could be faster. Maybe there is a lack of staff... That meets the demand of the diners who come

We went for our wedding anniversary,i was surprising my husband, I looked online at the menu to make sure it suited what we both liked before I booked , once seated and drinks were ordered we were told no cod no peppercorn sauce for the steak etc etc, we got up to leave but was told they had cod bites . We decided to stay as it was busy at battersea and didn't want to try find another place to eat , I ordered the curry which was OK but definitely wasn't home made, tasted of powder , they did bring over an ice cream congratulating us on our anniversary which was nice but to be honest I wouldnt recommend anyone to go there as it wasn't anything special, we watched a family of 8 leave after looking at the menu , they said not enough options ,shame really as it was the first time we had been out on our own for years without the children! You live and learn

Great views of the Thames, we came at sunset time and it was lovely. The food was very good, the crab toast was our favourite! We will come back.

Very disappointed. The surroundings were lovely and the staff provided attentive service, but the food was dry and bland. Overall, it felt extremely overrated and overpriced.

Great location with a fantastic view. The restaurant is very nice and bright. However, after having heard what Mr Ramsey’s mouth spits out when he criticises other restaurant owners (although amusing) I was expecting a lot more in his own restaurant. For a start, the table looked worn and dirty, there was no tablecloth or even a simple paper mat and it felt a bit awkward that the silverware I was going to eat with, was lying on that surface. We ordered the waguy meatballs from the starter menu, which were terrible. The meatballs were rubbery, with little rock-hard bits inside that felt like pieces of cartillage and the taste had nothing to do with wagyu meat. The tomato sauce was tomato puree, uncooked, straight out of a can, without any seasoning or spices and a couple of random basil leaves which didn’t add any flavour. This dish was not finished and returned. For main, we ordered the idiot sandwich which was decent, but in no way something exceptional. We also ordered the Potted Devon crab. This was very nice, the crumpets were great and the combination with the herb butter, pickles and crab meat was very tasty. However there was a little bit of shell in the crab meat that nearly broke my tooth. Overall, it’s a nice place to visit if you want to have an expensive mediocre dinner with a great view.

I dined here as was working in the area and I have eaten here before. I ordered a 'classic' sirloin steak as I hadn't enjoyed a steak dinner in Wetherspoons for a long while, but was very disappointed to find out that Wetherspoons have removed the peas, tomato and mushroom from the standard steak meal...I queried why the plate was half empty and was told you have to order the 'gourmet' steak to get what used to be standard trimmings. Oddly every steak / grill menu dish includes the trimmings apart from the 'Classic' Sirloin - very odd and disappointing given it's not exactly a bargain at over £14. At least it came with a drink and I enjoyed a bottle of Elvis Juice with the meal. It's not the fault of the pub, as this appears to be a chain-wide move, but nonetheless it was a disappointing meal experience and I certainly won't be ordering a 'classic' steak meal in future. To be honest, calling the addition of peas, tomato and mushroom and a few onion rings a 'gourmet' option is a pretty low definition of gourmet - defined in most dictionaries as food of very high quality. It's a good job the drink was good...the steak was just okay, and the plateful disappointing.

Love the zero waste ethos. Food was interesting as well as delicious. Good service and, for a tasting menu, the price was pretty good too.
