Went for lunch today , with friends for a much needed catch up . From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel very welcome by Michael . Wonderful decor , fantastic food and wine menu. The food was just sublime, the attention to detail and the food presentation was just exquisite. The service , presentation and ambiance was of such high quality but yet felt comfortable and relaxed . I would thoroughly recommended this restaurant! Thank you so much Michael and all at Chez Moi for a wonderful day !

Possibly the best place for dinner in the region, bar none. Classic French food prepared with love, passion and complete commitment. Personal, warm and friendly service. Very good value, if this restaurant was in a fashionable location you'd have to book up two months ahead. It is absolutely first class.

Quite the best meal we've had out for a long time. The younger folk had 3 courses; the older folk had 2. The portion sizes were perfect. Every mouthful was to be savoured. The ambiance was relaxed and the service was excellent.

My first time in this restaurant and no last. The food was excellent generous portions and very good quality. Prices are good in relation to the quality of the menu. But the star of the night has to be the young lady who served us always with a smile. Considering that there isn't a service charge she's a natural. Excellent service and food. Thank you very much.

My wife and I headed to Chez Moi for Valentines night. I’ll be honest it’s our favourite restaurant. We’re not regulars per se but like to visit once or twice a year. Yet again we had an exceptional experience. 6 courses of absolutely exceptional food a bottle of fantastic wine and superb service. We love it and highly recommend a visit.

One of many visits to this outstanding venue. My wife and I went with some friends of our Sunday meeting group to celebrate our wedding anniversary, Michael, yet again, produced dishes that were astoundingly good. Do go. This is an unmistakable experience.

Always something interesting and different on the menu at Chez Moi. Sunday lunch on the 20/1/24 was a treat and just the job on a sunny but cold mid January day. The restaurant was warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed and if you like French influenced food...this is the place to visit. Be prepared to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Years since I last visited...what a mistake. Everything was excellent and my wife and I will not take so long to return. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of stumbling across this small family owned Restaurant. The owner was unbelievable. He couldn’t do enough for my family and I. The food was fantastic and so was the wine. It has a French feel to it and this maybe down to his love of France and his French wife! Do not hesitate. Highly recommend. Thank you Jason and family.

Booked last minute. Never been here before although have passed by so often and was not disappointed. We had two dogs with us and they were looked after with a bowl of water and a bonio each too. The food was absolutely beautiful and portion sizes good. There were only seven tables but it wasn't cramped. Our table of four was spacious. The area had great atmosphere. Will definitely be going again.

Chez Moi is a little gem of a restaurant a little out of town in Bognor Regis. French cuisine freshly cooked to a very high standard . The biggest problem is deciding what to have! The menu changes according to ingredients the chef sources. I opted for the crab to start which was delicious, followed by pork which was tender and cooked to perfection and the flavoursome creme brûlée to complete the meal. Our party of 8 all thoroughly enjoyed their various dishes. The venue is small and intimate with a friendly atmosphere. I think we are exceptionally lucky to have this wonderful establishment in our town, and highly recommend it.

Scallops so delicious I could have liked the plate, followed by Navarin of lamb that was a pure delight.

Sunday Evening Chef's Table is remarkable value. For the price of the standard set lunch menu you can choose from that, or from extra dishes added from the premium menu (to avoid the food going to waste). Top quality cooking in a relaxed atmosphere.

Sunday Lunch today. Lovely, Lovely, Lovely. Everything. Really good. Go. Its an excellent restaurant, best in the district.

This is the third time I’ve had the opportunity to dine with you. It’s faultless. I’ve had the privilege of working In high end restaurants and Michelin alike and you don’t disappoint. A huge thank you to everyone who carefully and passionately cooked for us tonight.

From the outside this unassuming restaurant appears to have little unique to offer, I've driven past it many times without paying it much attention, BUT, this really is one of Bognor's hidden gem's. Other restaurants would do well to follow this establishments ethos for dinning. This superb unpretentious restaurant is everything a restaurant should be. A small uncomplicated menu, with everything cooked & presented superbly, all of which can be enjoyed in a relaxed, spacious Parisian atmosphere. It was an absolute delight to eat here for a Sunday dinner with friends, highly recommendable, and will certainly return, we loved our evening. Thank you for the lovely food.

I booked Chez Moi to help my partner celebrate her birthday. Courtesy of the interweb I decided that it would be interesting to visit the venue. My partner is a Francophile, lived in Paris for a while and has travelled extensively in France . She is also a fluent French speaker. As soon as we entered the restaurant her face lit up and she expressed the view that Chez Moi reminded her of small, family run premises in rural France. The ambience is truly Gallic. Nathalie is truly French and the whole experience was a delight. The only complaint that we have is that the menu, although limited to five or six choices in each category (starters, main and pudding), was so good that we had a real problem deciding what to choose! Consequently we are trying to book again for tonight …. Cannot recommend highly enough. Dog friendly does not go far enough to describe the care and attention that Otto the black Labrador experienced. He loved the petits morceaux de boeuf that he was given. The best restaurant in the town or even in surrounding areas, i think every position in menu is incredible starting with starters, following mains and finishing on desserts because our was! Atmosphere is really warm/cosy. Totally recommended and definitely we will comeback!

What a wonderful restaurant. I’d given up on ever again seeing a family run, excellent French restaurant in France, let alone the UK. This is the real thing. Michael Newton Young has top pedigree and serves real food cooked with heart. We had excellent scallops, panné poached egg, chicken liver parfait, then blanquette de veau (yes blanquette and Michael talked us through his butchery of the beast - pinch me in dreaming), beouf bourguignon, canon of lamb. Wines unlisted with growers or vintages but turned up excellent. A real treat. Such a change from the dross chains and stuck up city restaurant destinations.

Always a great experience. If you’ve not tried it, you must. You’ll not regret it.

I was expecting great things and had been recommended many times, now don’t get me wrong, the evening was lovely and the food was nice- but I was expecting a wow factor - and I didn’t get that! I found the menu was very limited and therefore I didn’t have a starter. The bread was nice though. I also found the mains were quite salty - albeit i like salt so again, not a worry for me. The main and pudding were nice.

From the outside, Chez Moi is a bit underwhelming, its in a row of rather run down shops on the West End of Bognor Regis. However inside it is a small lively restaurant. The service is first class and the food is delicious and good value.

Amazing food have not had food like this in a long time and would definetly come back the chef came out and served us as well as madam who was amazing as well and caring

Just had a roast dinner here with my wife and daughter. I’ve got to say, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was done to perfection. The service was also very friendly. Will definitely be coming back here to sample the other meals.

Great atmosphere as you enter this intimate little restaurant. We were greated by a charming young lady who showed us to our table. We were offered warm bread and wonderful salty creamy butter to keep us going until the food arrived. I had a starter of warm pears and walnut salad with roquerfort cheese, it was delicious which was a picture on a plate and tasted even better.I had the slow cooked belly pork with parsnip mash ,creamy potato mash beautifully cooked rainbow carrots ,three delightful little crab apples and the most flavourful jus imaginable. We will most certainly return to this little gem we have found in Aldwick, West Sussex.

Great amazing food …..within a stones-throw of the promenade. Limited number of tables and just amazingly excellent dishes ….Let down by a non trained table server who really does not have a clue on the menu , no idea of the variety of drinks on offer ….. just a shame and a let down for the great work coming out of the kitchen . Well intentioned will get you so far but best for the manager to come out and detail the dishes . But do go ….a food experience.

Visited this lovely spacious restaurant as recommended online for good food and being dog friendly. Really nice decor once inside with a great atmosphere. We had lunch here on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The food really is five star and we could not fault any of it, I am a vegetarian and found there were plenty of choices, amazing starters , mains ,desserts, and cheese and biscuits , they also have a great wine list. A very friendly head chef and all of his staff couldn’t do enough for us. Dog biscuits for the dogs with a bowl of water . If you’re staying anywhere in the area, this is an absolute must if you like your food .

We just had the most amazing delicious meal tonight. It has been a very long time since we have had a meal where we have savoured every mouthful. Just divine. It’s so delicious, you have to have dessert! Then we come to the service, which was a lesson in hospitality, in the true meaning of the word. The chef came out to every table. Such value for money as well. What a fabulous local find. We will be going back time & time again. Go now!

What a great little unpretentious french restaurant. Had a lunch with my mate who loves his food. Started with scallops wrapped in ham. Chicken with mushroom sauce whilst my mate had confit of duck. Finished with tarte tatin and cream brulee . Chablis and chevre chambertain to wash it down...all cooked beautifully, flavours were fantastic. Will be returning for sure! Fully recommend this little French gem 💎 👌

Food to die for.Every aspect was perfect especially the homemade soughdow bread.Good vib and type Michelin top class food.

It's simply delicious. Price quality is perfect. We paid less in pubs for fish and chips than we did for this great 3 course meal. The kitchen really loves what they are doing and they show it on the plates.

For years we wanted a really decent restaurant in Aldwick. Thankfully we now have it with Chez Moi. Food is seasonally based and really well cooked and presented. Atmosphere is very local but not noisy, just right. Large tables for group settings and a very rustic style. Not cheap, but not too expensive either. Try this eatery, providing you love really great food.

One of a party of 13 for Saturday lunch. Loved my first visit last year and this one was equally enjoyable. Food, atmosphere and service were all great and had something most restaurants lack - personality. A number of our group had special dietary requirements and all were catered for perfectly and with no fuss. Looking forward to my next visit.

What a lovely restaurant, lovely staff and amazing food. My wife took me for my birthday and we really couldn't have had a nicer experience. Firstly our waiter was engaging, funny and we received a very warm welcome. The chef equally so and even came out to say hi. The food was fantastic and even my wife who is quite fussy had a big smile on her face. I was so impressed with the food, very rich, full of flavour and very filling. I had the Lamb Wellington and my wife the Beef Rossini. I would like to also say that this was all great value especially for food of this calibre. After dinner they even surprised me with cake and sparkly candle and sung Happy Birthday. So a big thank you to all at Chez Moi for a great evening and we will definitely be back.

Oh my days, so Mothering Sunday we booked table for 6, we enjoyed the most amazing delicious tasty starters, roast mains and exquisite desserts. The staff were so friendly, attentive, nothing was too much trouble I cannot remember when I last enjoyed 3 course meal, as tasty as I enjoyed today. Full disclosure; the proprietor of this restaurant is also my French language tutor. Coeliac, gluten free, vegetarian, French cuisine not normally a good fit. I made of point of not visiting until I noticed on the board for the take-away pizzas that they advertised gluten free pizza so took the plunge. Apart from the wife's (I have to say that) I think this is the best gluten free pizza base I have come across. All food is home made and normal pizzas are excellent too. There is also everything you might expect from a French restaurant. Check the web site for menus and ordering take away as I think things are changing all the time but the great thing about this being family owned is that they will do their best to accommodate any dietary requirements.

My partner took me here for a private dining experience for my birthday, and I was so impressed we have booked again already.The setting, food, service and attention to detail are first class. A wonderful selection of wines to compliment the food are on offer too.You won't find a better place to eat in the area.

I am so so glad I did, I am a star in all my friends eyes now, we are all very lucky to eat at the most amazing restaurants around the world and this was up there without a doubt! The chefs table isn't a room off the main restaurant this is the restaurant, so the service levels couldn't be any better, the wine selection is amazing and extremely reasonably priced. I believe the 9 of us choose everything on the menu and all loved each course. Cannot fault this place in anyway and has a lovely little shop feel at the front selling, cheeses, wines, pastries etc. Michael is an exceptional chef and their story of how they met as a couple and have achieved, adds to the ambience of the restaurant. We wanted something special to thank our good friends for all their help. The private dining experience could not have been better. Delicious food prepared by the owner/chef, Michael. It felt totally indulgent and delicious. Personal attention from your own private chef is something that one doesn't often experience unless you're a millionaire in Mayfair, but in Bognor Regis? Incredible - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Had a lunchtime meal to celebrate the wife’s birthday and have to say we really enjoyed the experience. We had the restaurant to ourselves and it felt safe and exclusive. The food was to die for, so reminded us of holidays in the south of France. The rose wine we had was also excellent. One point to note is that you have to choose your meal options 24 hours in advance at time of writing this review.All in all the visit exceeded expectations and would recommend.

We had the most delicious family meal, in a wonderful private setting and with a fantastic chef. Michael's food was top notch, plentiful and we made an evening of chatting to him, eating and enjoying the white wine he recommended to us. We can not recommended Chez Moi enough! Chef's table, a wonderful experience, something v special. Wonderful food, and the recommended wine was delicious haven't stopped talking about it!

My daughter had the aubergine canelonni, she is a foodie and it was absolutely wonderful. I had the pate served with a fresh fig and prunes and bread to die for. They have improvised to survive the pandemic, built a pizza oven, and they deliver. I must say it even shout it from the rooftops. Go.

We asked for some take away vegan food for a family get-together. Michael surpassed all expectations with really tasty variety of food

The restaurant is closed at the moment due to the pandemic. However we have been having excellent food from Michael which is delivered to our door. Bognor Regis is fortunate to have such an excellent chef who is prepared to adapt to the circumstances . Not having experienced this establishment because of the lock down we decided to try a delivery service and wow what a pleasant surprise! The Sunday lunch we had delivered was absolutely superb from the freshly baked bread, beef and lamb to die for, to the quite exquisite Rum Babas and Chocolate Fondants we were all blown away by the sheer quality of each dish. These guys have certainly set a high bar for delivered food and we can't wait to get into Chez Moi at the first opportunity many thanks all!

Ordered a takeaway for my wife's birthday since eating out isn't an option at present. I knew the food would be good from past experience but I can honestly say we were blown away by the whole meal. Starters were truffled arancini with mixed mushrooms and truffled hollandaise, croquttas of Devonshire crab and leek with parmesan cream and crisps and a sublime artichoke tart with truffled hollandaise.For mains, two of us had the herb stuffed slow roasted pork belly with Toulouse sausage, french beans wrapped in Parma ham with creamed mash potatoes. My wife had the Navarin of lamb with roasted root veg, braised red cabbage, parsley dumplings and creamed potatoes. We didn't order pud and it's just as well! We all loved the food and were completely full by the time we finished. Michael also included two delicious baton loaves, butter and a small bottle of pink bubbly with an indoor firework since this was a birthday meal. We are really looking forward to being able to eat in the restaurant again. Meanwhile, the takeaway option is not only viable, it's delicious for a special meal at home!

We had a Saturday night delivery, the chicken ballotine with tasty vegetables and all in a delicious sauce. Michael's usual high standard. Thoroughly recommended if you like good food very well prepared and presented.

We were lucky to be able to eat at Chez Moi on the first evening after the second lockdown was eased. What a treat ... Michael looked after us so well, serving us as well as doing all the cooking, it felt more like a private dining experience. Understandably we had to pre-order a couple of days in advance ... the food was delicious and we could easily have been in France as it all tasted so authentic. Thank you for a wonderful experience ... we'll be back!

This is being written during lock down. We ordered a take away and couldn't be more pleased with the service and quality of the food. The pizza was cooked in the wood fired oven out the front while we waited and with such generous toppings is now my favourite pizza in Bognor. Service was with a big smile too.

We regularly ate there, when we could. Now we have to do with takeaways. Friendly proprietors. Waitresses not always on top of things, couple of blips there.

We had our first delivered meal from Chez Moi for our wedding anniversary in July and We’re so impressed that have decided to have one as a monthly treat .We are Just about to have our third , this time with friends .Cannot believe the quality . Superb food ! The lobster Bisque is divine ! The Truffled Arancini are wonderful . All the man dishes are lovely .The menu changes slightly each time so we have always had new things to try and all at a very affordable price . Cannot recommend this too highly .A single table is available at the restaurant itself each evening so we may well book that for a Christmas celebration in December with our children .

Just left after experiencing the chefs table and I can’t begin to tell you how happy we all were just to be there. It was a very intimate dining experience and I cannot praise it enough. Michael the Head Chef looked after us throughout serving us drinks and bringing out small plates of delicious taster savoury pastries when we sat down. We had pre ordered earlier in the week so didn’t have to wait long for our starter which was served with warm bread and toast. Mains was roasts for us all and my husband said he had never eaten a pork dish as good as he had. What a amazing different lunchtime experience which we all thoroughly enjoyed. This quality of the food is beyond expectations and would easily be fine dining quality but for a very reasonable price. We can not recommend this place enough, even if you need to order their home delivery service at the moment.

Ordered take away Pizzas during the current lockdown and were very impressed with how tasty they were . Great fresh dough with lots of yummy toppings . Particularly liked the special with figs For a different taste that worked really well. Highly recommended

Having recently moved to Bognor, this was on my list of recommended places to eat, but then the dreaded Covid-19 struck! However, after realising it was still in business, offering collection and take-aways, my husband and I decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed!! We wanted to treat ourselves as it was our first wedding anniversary and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with the food from Chez Moi. Incredible flavours, rich, decadent, with generous sized portions at reasonable prices, it’s a no brainer really. The best, home-cooked style food I’ve had in a long, long time. Unfussy and delicious. We have just ordered our second meal from here for Sunday lunch. Can’t wait to eat it!!

Thank you thank you Chez Moi for an Outstanding Sunday lunch June 7th. Ordered at just gone ten and delivered by 1400. excellent beef Sunday lunch of a very high quality. Cannot praise highly enough. So, when lock down ends, do we eat in or out? Tough decision...............If you have not enjoyed the cuisine of this little Aldwick Gem, what are you waiting for?

The restraint was recommended by our neighbours and all I can say excellent. If you want a takeaway above the rest you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back again for more of the best food I have eaten for a long time.

We have had good meals when open as a restaurant.Whilst it is closed due to coroavirus we have bought their take away meals.Yesterday we had the fish pie - the best fish pie ever.Tonight we had the moussaka - this is how food should taste

I ordered a take away dinner for my wife's birthday. Collected a small tray of food and came home for the surprise. The food was great, so tasty and such generous portions. It really made the evening and was the icing on the rest of the day. Thoroughly recommend Chez Moi for a special occasion or if you just want a good change from the normal.

In these strange times it is such a delight to find something new. We had never before eaten in the restaurant however we have now enjoyed 3 fantastic take away meals. We can recommend .... well we have tried nearly everything on the menu and found it all tasty and very generous portions. Strongly recommend going here.

Today is my birthday and as we couldn’t go to Chez Mai for a celeb ratify meal we arranged for Chez Moi to come to us. From their takeaway menu we both had delicious rack of lamb with all the trimmings. For dessert I had very indulgent profiteroles and my husband enjoyed tarte tatin. The whole meal was delicious and we shall use the lockdown take away menu again before too long and I hope you will too..

Absolutely brilliant, after a week of ‘Self Isolation’ we decided we needed a treat and ordered from the ‘Take-Away’ menu and had the Lobster Bisque and home made bread to start with, an excellent Lamb dish with vegetables for mains followed by the most enjoyable Rum Baba, Chantilly cream and fresh fruit to finish with. Well, with our own bottle of wine what a very inexpensive ‘Date Night’ in !Highly recommended - we will be doing it again soon !!!

Chez Moi. Wow!It was Thursday and we had originally decided to eat in the hotel so as not to expose ourselves to outside influences.However, on second thoughts, we realised that this could be our last chance to eat out for a while.Consequently, I rang Chez Moi, one of the restaurants on my small list for this holiday, and asked if they were going to be open in the evening. They were, so we booked. I also booked a taxi directly.We were in the hotel lobby when the taxi arrived early. There seemed no point in waiting so we climbed in.Nothing in Bognor is far away and we were soon outside of Chez Moi. We paid the taxi the £6 fare and went in.Us being early did not phase the lovely lady owner even though they were not quite open.She greeted us warmly and gave us a choice of seats.Drinks were soon on the table, a bottle of French beer for me and the usual tonic for Jean.The restaurant has a wooden floor and polished wooden furniture. As you will have already guessed, this is a French restaurant. Very French! The decor and ambience are that of a very good and much-loved Paris street brasserie. It was as warm as the owner.On a table by the bar were several loaves and small rolls of home baked bread. All made on site. We immediately asked for a large brown loaf to be set aside for us to take away. I had visions of a large, thick hunk of this with some cheese for my supper on the Friday evening. I was not disappointed as the bread was beautiful.But back to Thursday night.The menu is small but very interesting. Madam told us that it was changed frequently. The courses can be ordered individually but there is a set total price for either two or three courses.I cannot give the French names of the dishes we had but I will endeavour to explain them here.We decide against a starter, rather aiming for a main and a desert to finish.Madam warned us that everything was freshly cooked to order and would therefore take 20 minutes or so to arrive. This suited us as we do not like to rush a good meal.Jean ordered the Supreme of Chicken. This came with lyonnaise potatoes, spinach, asparagus and a very rich creamy sauce. The chicken was “pâte” tender, the potatoes nicely cooked and the asparagus al dente. All in all, a perfect dish for Jean, who loved it.For me it was the “saddle” of lamb. This, when it arrived, was a picture of the artistry of a true chef.The meat, which was about 1 inch thick, had been deboned and then reconstituted into a “round”. But it was more than this. The individual pieces of lamb had been wrapped in leaves of spinach and the whole, with the addition of a little pâte to fill in the gaps, had been held together with the skin.Madam had asked how I liked my lamb cooked. When I replied “pink” I saw a small smile of approval.This round of delight had been placed atop of a small mountain of smooth mashed potato. Around it was peas, baby broad beans and asparagus which had been simmered in the lamb jus.Fantastic!Easily one of the best lamb dishes I have ever eaten... so tender... so tasty.I had in the meantime ordered a large (250 ml) glass of a very smooth Merlot.The pudding menu arrived but Jean had already seen it and knew exactly what she wanted. Creme Brûlée with raspberries. Two of her favourites in one dish.I took a bit longer to choose as all of the other five deserts on the menu sounded amazing.In the end I went for something from my childhood that is not often seen these days. Rum Baba.Jean’s Creme was quite large and slightly warm, just as she likes it. Lovely!My Rum Baba arrived in a large bowl. It was the size of a small tennis ball and was surrounded with a generous helping of fruits of the forest and an equally generous quenelle of Chantilly cream.Into the top of the Baba had been inserted a plastic balloon. Madam explained that this contained extra rum and should be squeezed gently to further infuse the Baba. This I did.Cutting open this small ball of lusciousness revealed that it was indeed nicely moist. I had stopped eating Babas in the past as they were far too often dry and unappealing. This one was wholly “perfect”!Eventually we called for the bill wishing that we could start all over again. We also wished that this delightful restaurant was closer to home.We paid the bill and asked for a taxi to be called for us.The bill was not itemised as we had had the two courses which were advertised at £20.50 per person.With drinks the total bill was £56.40. a very sensible price for a truly delightful meal.
