This place has excellent French food for the most reasonable prices in the area. I ordered a couple dishes, sat in the back at an ecclectic table next to the door to cool off. Food was amazing, wine was amazing, can't wait to go back.

Simple but beautiful little cafe, hidden on a side street. Inside it looks quiet basic but French-style charming and cosy. We liked it very much. We ordered Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine with a home made Hollandaise Sauce. It was very tasty and we really enjoyed our breakfast. The service was warm and friendly. The only thing to improve slightly was the coffee. My husband's Americano was just a half cup. It looked as if there was not enough water in the coffee machine ;0). My latte was alright. Overall a nice place for breakfast and lunch, nice quality food, simple and authentic. We would visit again.

This cafe on appearance looks lovely - not particularly dirty, but their are basic hygiene improvements that could be made. To make matters worse I found a hair in my food. Staff were apologetic, but it does make me wonder what behind the scenes look like.

Chez Nous is near Tottenham Court Road but 'off the beaten track'. We have been here before - similarly when going to a matinee at the Dominion. Really nice atmosphere, small and intimate, good tasty home made food, well presented (on lovely vintage [?] crockery). We both had the courgette and goats cheese quiche with salad. Very tasty! Definitely a place to come again when in this part of London.

What a gem! A small intimate restaurant with great food. We booked as we were off to a matinee at the Dominion (5 minute walk). As everything is cooked freshly and it is a busy place ...leave enough time! We only had just over an hour so in the end took our dessert with us! Lovely fresh salmon and great rose wine! The portion size was perfect and food was delicious. You are not hurried and we really loved it! Would definitely recommend and go again if in the area.

We stopped at Chez Nous for a pre-theater dinner. This is a very small restaurant, perhaps 6 or 7 tables. We were early and had no trouble being seated. The very small kitchen is at the front of the restaurant. There was one staff person in addition to the chef. We enjoyed salmon and pork. Both were excellent.

This is an amazing little French bistro located in a small street very close to Tottenham Court Rd tube. Lovely atmosphere, small and cosy. We booked an early evening meal prior to the theatre and couldn’t fault the friendly efficient service and delicious home cooked fresh food. We chose from the daily specials menu and had a bottle of the house white followed by a desert as the main meal was so tasty. Very reasonable prices and worth every penny. Good options for vegetarians. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We found this by accident walking round Tottenham Court Road looking for lunch and went up the wrong road. Right as it turned out. Quite a little oasis of tranquility with good food cooked to order, nice wines and a relaxed rustic feel with background French music. Either snacks or more formal meals can be catered for and the quality is first rate. A real find and far better than most on offer in the vicinity. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I go back here with friends all the time. The pricing is reasonable and it has an intimate, informal atmosphere. Reminds of a Parisian bistro. The kind of place you can pick up a meal by yourself or go with a friend on a budget and get something tasty. It's like home-cooking/canteen vibe. I like how the menu changes. No airs and graces but chic and the staff are very friendly. Hidden away, it has an exclusive feeling, being small but calm at the same time...and it's close to Bradley's for after dinner drinks.

To stjerner for venlig betjening og for hyggeligt lokale.

I visited with friends on a Monday evening. The restaurant was quiet. We were served by a charming waitress, who answered our questions with humour and style. We ordered more food than we needed from a small but interesting menu, and enjoyed a reasonably priced bottle of French wine. The food was simple but delicious, with the cooked vegetable plate the stand out dish. The desserts were typically French- rich and flavoursome. We loved the pared back decor, it really felt like being in a bistro in the French countryside. And no music- a real plus and made our conversation so much more enjoyable. I will definitely be revisiting this restaurant.

We recently spent a week in Lindon as a family and enjoyed our trip overall. The best find of the trip: Chez Mamie. Not the place to go spend big money on a fancy meal. But a nice, quiet, affordable meal prepared for you while you relax in a casual French Cafe type atmosphere. It just so happened this place was literally right out our front door in Hanway Place right off the corner of Tottenham and Oxford St. Hard to believe such a wuaint little cafe can exist so close to the Boots, Sainsburys, McDonalds and Burger King megastores. But it does!!During our stay, we ate here several times mostly for breakfast. Great coffee, croissants, and even apple and pear crumble served with ice cream. Don't let the store front fool you, it looks as if they only have a small selection. But ask for a menu, there is a generous choice of breakfast, lunch, and light dinner options. And the coffee lovers in the family had nothing but praise for the coffee and espresso. I was a fan of the ham ( French or Iberian) and cheese croissant and baguettes. My wife loved the eggs florentine. A great find that the family incorporated in out daily schedule. The service was very personal and complete. You won't find this kind of cafe in most American cities!!

.. tucked away in a side street, small restaurant area in what was once a back room, a few tables - ours very rickety - stopped for coffee and a snack. Coffee and pastry were good, house red was acceptable if a little meagre, chicken escalope / mascarpone sandwich was horrible. Chicken appeared to be from a processed roll and some very odd dressings has been liberally applied. The wait for order to be taken and then for delivery of food / drinks was very long indeed - and it was not that busy. Other diners were clearly concerned about delays. Perhaps just an 'off' day but overall not a pleasant experience. A shame because it is the type of 'cafe' that one really wants to like!!!

It has a French feel from the get-go and the menu promises amazing breakfasts and intimate little dinners. Perfect for a romantic date; it is quiet and comfortable with limited seating. We ducked in her to grab a Bloody Mary and tea. This was one of the better Bloody Mary's I have had; exquisite with attention to detail and love poured into it. Highly recommend this special place and its sweet staff.

Everything about Chez Mamie is wonderful. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford St, this is a fantastic oasis of calm. Both the food and the service is excellent and highly recommended.

The warm welcome by the staff, relaxed atmosphere and great food makes this my new favourite coffee shop, only seconds away from the hustle and bustle that is Oxford Circus. Excellent breakfast, especially when trying to avoid chains like Starbucks and Costa. I tried the Eggs Benedict and a Flat White and would go back anytime. In the morning it does open a bit late (9AM) if you have a breakfast meeting, so make sure to schedule around that.

Yes its quietly gaining a good reputation with a delightfully fresh approach which is such a change from the umpteen chain places popping up nearby almost weekly it seems.Like the legendary Bradleys Spanish Bar bar up the road, Hanway Place is an almost forgotten back street off Oxford St but certainly given hope by these two gems. Its a bit like the tardis inside as goes quite a way back and having sampled the breakfast items I popped by this week and had a lovely light lunch of a tortilla with a little salad and a crisp glass of Bordeaux white. It really is an oasis of calm in an otherwise bustling area and mercifully bypassed by the hordes of tourists attracted by Primark and the British Museum. Just a few minutes walk from Tottenham Court Rd tube.

I recently discovered Chez Mamie as I work close by. They have a great menu of varied French dishes that change daily, all freshly prepared with a lot of love and attention. I particularly LOVE their salads, every time I have ordered them they have been made freshly in front of me and differ each time. They have been bursting with flavour and keep me coming back again and again. I would highly recommend Chez Mamie.

I visited last Saturday with a friend. I live nearby and had been wanting to pop in as they looked friendly and welcoming. And indeed they were. The cafe at 1pm had a few people and a lovely atmosphere, with a simple but full menu which was well priced, espcially for the area.My friend ordered a parsley soup and I had the croque monsieur. Both arrived soon after and were delicious. The staff were attentive but not intrusive and I plan on returning again this weekend. Amongst the sea of chains and overpriced food in the area, Chez Mamie is a beacon to those who wish to try good quality and well prepared food.

This is a recently opened cafe just off Tottenham Court Road. It has a small but varied menu of French food which is prepared fresh daily and delicious. My friends and I tried it for a quick bit of lunch on Thursday but enjoyed it so much we went back for lunch the next day. The meat options were different which is good. There are a limited number of table at the back of the premises which make for a cozy place to relax with friends. They also do take-away if you want something tasty instead of a mass produced sandwich made three days ago.I wish them the best of luck with this new business I will be visiting again when down that way.

Didn’t get a chance to try in Paris, but these were amazing. We tried 6 different flavours and loved them all. I’m not even really a chocolate person but the chocolate ones were perfection. Service was lovely, too.

I unfortunately can’t recommend this restaurant. We went for the midday 3-course menu. There was nothing special about it. For starters we had the fish carpaccio and spaghetti, fish was nice, spaghetti had nothing special that you could not get anywhere else. For mains we had the gnocchi and pork shoulder. Half the pork serving was fat, and the meat was tough, had a nice flavour, but nothing making it special. Gnocchi was the best meal, they were toasted o. The outside and soft on the inside, very nice sauce. Dessert we had the French toast, very nice caramelisation and soft core. The disappointment comes from being a Michelin restaurant, the dishes did not seem elevated or innovative. Service was very kind and attentive.

Food poisoning from a Michelin quality restaurant?! Attended with my partner for our anniversary and had the 10 course tasting menu. The food was nice but not at the same quality as other Michelin restaurants we had attended. Only after we returned home did the trouble start. My partner and I both had food poisoning and spent most of the night and following day in the toilet. This was my first time having oysters and I will ensure it was the last. The service was okay however the sommelier seemed quite rude and abrupt. Cosy atmosphere but can get quite loud at times. The last thing we expected from a restaurant of this quality.

I was walking around the center and then suddenly found myself in this little yet quiet and adorable street full of little shops and restaurants. Needless to say that as soon as I saw this little gem of a wine house, I fell in love with it; a bit rustic and cosy, lovely wines at a great price (especially for being central London), friendly and efficient service. Cannot wait to try the brunch next Saturday!
