Chews Noodle Bar in Sefton

Had an excellent take out from Chews: Chicken and Curry Rice Box and Crispy Chicken Nuggets in Honey Sauce. The chicken is crispy outside and tender inside. The sauces are full of favourites. Service is friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.

I placed an order here last night 23rd march through Uber eats unknowingly my husband placed another order when we realised we cancelled the later order by phoning the restaurant and they said it was fine only to realise today they have taken payment for both orders when only received one, when getting in touch with Uber they said it was down to the restaurant so got in touch with them at opening time today for them to say they are not prepared to do anything as the food was prepared and then distributed out to the staff, customer service was shocking and as a frequent customer I expected more from them, I will sadly not be using there service again as up until yesterday I’ve never had any complaints

Mild food, ok portions Staff is kind and professional

The reason this is so low is i ordered their small box of stir vegetables only a few days ago and thought not bad , ordered another and they had filled it full of noodles with a scatter of veg. I feel scammed as i paid the veg price not the plain noodle price,

Food is lively but sometimes they get the order wrong,, and waited two hours one night for a delivery, it was valentines day mind

Poor. Started with my partner having to run to the cashpoint as the website didn't make it clear that it was cash only for delivery. Most businesses have portable card readers now. And if they don't, they should. They're only £20 or so. Or they should make this clear on the website. Female staff member pretty much hung up on me after making excuses. Even worse, the dish I ordered (Crispy Noodle Chicken Box) was missing the main reason I ordered it - crispy noodles. Not one. Overpriced and underwhelming. Bland, unexciting disappointment. I knew I should have stuck with Param Para, where I would have got enough curry for 2 meals for a similar outlay. Never again. Lesson learned.

Chews is amazing and by far the best noodle bar to eat. Incredible service, great price. Been going to chews for 4+ years now

Delicious my favourite takeaway by far.. since I have found this place I don't order anywhere else.. food is fresh clean and extremely tasty. Its even got to the point where I want to ask about recipes haha.. but honestly if your into this style of cuisine this is THE ONE

How can it take 95 minutes to deliver noodles

Food gorgeous hence the average rating. We live 2 streets away, unable to pick up we ordered a delivery on a sunday evening. Very disapointing as we were tild we were the next delivery but this took 1 hr 20 mins

Ive known about this place for a while, finally went in last night I just wish I had of gone in months ago . The staff were amazing, so polite. The owner even more so. Food was fantastic. Noodles really good,salt and pepper chicken and fries to die for.Top quality food at fast food price. Thankyou.

Love the food but seriously need to sort out fri/sat delivery's understand busy obvs it's "the weekend!"but best thing don't give specific times waited , 40 mins from placing order then another 40 mins from specified delivery time ?? Needs to be looked into.

Waited an hour and a when I called to find out got told its on its way waited 15 minutes asked where it is got told they hadn't recieved the order,I said I'll cancel,the woman shouted I'm going off my head then put the phone down on me,complete waste of time

I’m a bit baffled by the negative review I just read saying they have tried “everything” on the menu and it’s all pre cooked and no good. If everything you try is dry and tastes the same…why go back for more? Why would you waste your money trying the entire menu? With that said, we eat almost once a week/fortnight from Chew’s since their startup. I can’t recall ever sending anything back to the shop. The food always arrives hot, fresh and tasty. I highly recommend their salt and pepper fried rice. My husband loves the crispy honey soy chicken (side dish) and the Singapore noodles. A small box easily fills the average tummy, a bigger appetite will definitely be satisfied with the regular. They’re always happy to accommodate a change to the meal (like you want beef instead of chicken or you want to change the sauce or adjust the spice) and you can have confidence in keeping leftovers for the next day because I have rang and checked on a few occasions. Try them out if your in the area, can’t go wrong really

Nice food, salt and pepper noodle box was full of flavour and spices. I think more sauce could be added to the rice boxes. S&P spring rolls are delicious as an added side. You get a good portion size in the regular boxes. Overall, would probably order again.

Awesome place! Staff are great, especially Stacy and Mike. Food is unreal! Highly reccommend it.

Good portion size, cardboard boxes instead of plastic - super! Good customer service. 2 stars knocked off as I know this cuisine well and this may be catering to a certain palate. It was way too sweet when its not supposed to be - every dish ordered was sweet except for the salt/pepper stuff. So not very authentic but many will like it. Worth a try.

Always so nice. Highly recommend the duck in whisky sauce and the honey and soy pork. Big portions. Kids meals are great , actual small portions of the menu not just Nuggets and chips. Plus these guys delivered loads of food and drinks free of charge to the vaccination centres for the staff and volunteers during lockdown so I'd give them an extra start if I could.

Noodle box's and all the food are gorgeous lots in the boxs full of meat. Deffo reccomend☺️ small box is enough for one person we shared alarge box x

Staff are always amazing, food is always ready on time and hot, even though we live 20 mins drive away it's well worth the 40 minute round trip. Can't recommend this place enough, if your unsure what to get the honey soy pork box is always a good one to go for.

We ordered a take away meal from Chew Noodles for the first time recently - we all had different meals and each one was absolutely delicious! So pleased to discover Chew Noodles. Service, food and cost all excellent.

I came for lunch with my wife and friends, the thai noodles are great, the flavours reminded us of Bangkok, I will come back again. (no spicy means no spicy next time =)

We were a bit sceptical at the beginning, but the noodles here are amazing. The flavours are really thai and it reminds me of Bangkok. As usual some of the soups are too spicy for my taste, but I knew what I was going to face, no spicy always means too much much anyway. I will be back soon!

Salty Beyond Belief !!! Have previously had OK food from here, but won't be using them again. The Salt / Pepper mixed combo went off the scale with salt. Have had this 3 times with no issues, but last night both my wife and I couldn't eat it. We also ordered the Special Fried Rice, which came out of the pot as a solid lump and didn't get much better than than. What a waste of £16, should have gone the chippy.

Tried a few different noodle and rice boxes from here. My favourite is Singapore noodle box with Tofu. Lovely staff and although we always get the food to take out. The restuarant is always very clean inside.

Bit of a mixed review tbh, kids crispy chicken my daughter enjoyed that but was disappointed as we asked for it to be spicy and this was not. Kids rice was ok but just full of sauce. Salt and pepper chicken was again full of sauce did not taste of salt and pepper and had no peppers in it. And the pork was nice but again too much sauce and sickly. Staff friendly and helpful and portion size was huge would not go back in a hurry.

This is truly a super noodle shop! Wonderful fresh ingredients cooked with great skill. I had Singapore noodles and they were truly wonderful. My son had a veggie rice dish and there was no problem getting satay sauce as an extra. The chef even appeared from the back to check that we were happy. And oh boy were we happy! Marvellous food at an unbelievable low price. Great service too. Highest possible recommendation!

Average menu, food not spectacular. Food poisoning for days after not fun either. Similar prices to Wok and Go, but much lower quality.

Absolutely amazing. Lost count of how many times weve been. Only had to wait once when they were really busy. They did everything they could to keep me up dated with when it would be ready and also gave me some crackers in the mean time (& just over 5 minutes is not a long wait) lovely service and best to order directly by ringing them.

Lovely bright clean restaurant. My son and I ordered honey soy pork noodles. Tasted amazing and portions very generous. Tall man who served us couldn't have done more for us. Highly recommended.

Small portions compared to wok and go

The food is fantastically fresh, healthy and delicious. Plenty of choice and great value too, with generous portion sizes. Lovely helpful staff. Ideal for both a quick takeaway or sit down meal and a welcome addition to South Road.

Lob some bits of chicken at your old mop head and you half way there .noodles were sticky and undrinsed full of starch .meat was probaly frozen or precooked very dry weird taste low quality.....zero seasoning on the chicken and all the meat chunks weirdly strange sizes and shapes which would all cook at different times ?.would have scored more because the spring rolls were nice but am guessing bought in but the salad they came in was good until I ate the mother of all RAW !!! Spanish onion on steroids chunks right at the end at that was last straw ..zero attention to the basics !

Bought 2 calamari's (salt x pepper) just fried calamari not been tossed in the wok no flavour the rest of the content which should incl carrots etc absolute no flavour, will not recomend or go there in the future.

Its not very often i give a place 5 stars but i could not give it any less. Just went in on the off chance with the hound to grab a quick meal. Very clean very presentable place, it was quite as it was mid afternoon. All though basic seating arrangements it is adequate for the passing trade. The lady there serving very nice very friendly very efficient. Big bonus in my book is that she told me the place was dog friendly !! so was not rushing to get out with lily the pug :0). I had the special black pepper beef noodle box regular that was £6.00. It was worth every penny !! i love noodles and these were done to perfection !! loads of beef and all the rest of the meal was in adequate amount. The top was bursting off the top of the box. The flavours of the meal were fantastic i enjoyed every mouthful. Well done to the chef i think if they decided to open a chain of restaurants they would give wok and go a run for their money. My money would be on the chews noodle chain. Well done to every one in there and keep up the excellent work. Will definitely be going back there again roll on the next pug walkies :-)

Pedí una entrega de comida para mi familia y definitivamente no la volveré a hacer. Ordenamos desde su sitio web, debería haber sido un máximo de 45 minutos, pero después de una hora recibimos una llamada que nos decía que ahora también habría un cargo de 3 envíos, ¿por qué no llamaron cuando se realizó el pedido? Cuando finalmente apareció la comida, estaba en una bolsa de papel marrón para emparedados, no mucho para el 29. 50 (sin los gastos de envío) que habíamos pagado. La comida estaba en pequeñas cajas de cartón marrón y, para ser sincero, creo que hubiera sido más sabroso si hubiéramos comido las cajas y tirado la comida. Muy decepcionado y no volveré a visitar!
