Daughters 21st last night staff lovely and friendly allowing me time to set up for the evening, Buffet was amazing and plenty of it thank you again

Had a 80th birthday party here it was a great venue buffet was absolutely amazing and staff very friendly and helpful.

Never been here before, but passed it many times in my youth on the 231 from Fencehouses and back. Not a great selection of beers. I did enjoy sitting watching the cricket in the sun, though.

Friendly atmosphere, Good choice of drinks at competitive prices and great service. A popular venue for all live TV sporting events and great views out over the cricket pitch looking up to Lumley.

Had a wake in the Castle View Lounge. The view firstly is outstanding. The food was also great, especially liked the corned beef pie and ham and pease pudding sandwiches. The peach melbas went down so well I didn't get to try them! Good selection of alcohol too, and really friendly staff.

Had my 40th birthday party last night at CLSCC, unbelievable from start to finish. Service impeccable, the staff couldn't have been any more accommodating. Bait UNREAL. Guests can't stop talking about it. Highly recommended.

Lovely staff, great location and excellent catering.

Had a meeting here. Lots of free Parking. Very big and you need to know which tower number you need to be in to find what room you are in. It was a box overlooking the cricket pitch and it was amazing.

Very impressed. Good selection of drinks, friendly and highly efficient staff behind the bar. Excellent view across the cricket Square. Worth another visit when the sun is shining and a cricket match is being played.

Had my wedding reception and night do on 02nd April 2022. Couldn’t say enough good things about our day we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was beautiful, everyone kept saying compliments to the chef (and were asking if they could come for Sunday dinner!) DJ was great also! Would definitely recommend for a function!!

We attended a wake there. The staff were lovely and the food was plentiful and varied. The downstairs rooms we used looked out over the Cricket field and were a lovely backdrop to our day.

Friendly helpful staff Beautiful buffet for my cousins funeral. Could benefit from more allocated parking but they did allow my brother who struggles to walk far to park in loading bay.

Christmas food market. I tried the Amerian chicken wrap.very nice. Murphys pies were good sweet mince pies were the best. Stalls cheeses. Pizza. Indian.italian. beer. Honeys. Breads. Was outside so good for corvid

I have been to several parties at this venue.the room is cosy and private.theres a wheelchair lift and toilets are on the same floor.each time the food has been lovely.options of hot dish eg.curry or chilli.the addition of pulled beef and pork made a delicious sand wich possible.there were cold bites too with quiche and non meat sandwiches.hot roasties,chips ,pickles and more meant plates were filled again and again.would certainly recommend.the dj played plenty of apt music and even asked if we preferred it quiet so we could catch up un family news!

This was the best holiday that we have had in a long time. Why? Well the staff are amazing and are always ready to help you or explain where things are. Let us single out some special people namely Alex on reception who from the minute we entered was # amazing. Every time we came in or out of the hotel he spent time chatting or answering our questions. Then Freddo who looked after our needs at the bar efficiently and with a huge smile. The cleaners at this hotel never stop!!!! Thank you for an amazing holiday recommended to everyone I speak too do it is just as well we have already booked!!!

Popped in for a pint after England game has pool table and decent pint can't complain for a short visit

Arrived at event at 9am and was directed into disabled parking ( has to be precooked and paid £15 for day) as soon as we entered the ground as I use two walking sticks I was offered the use of a wheelchair But I said no, all the event staff were exceedingly helpful and polite, we were directed to seats which were good, plenty toilets, an over abundance of overpriced food and drink kiosks. Tickets for the day were £125 each. Take your own food and drink it’s a a lot cheaper but a great day, and a bonus England won

Cricket game good hospitality poor do not know the difference between dairy intolerance and veganism. eggs are not dairy free, raspberry compote not suitable, coconut cream contains milk not very good idea of allergens content very poor show

Can recommend this place enough. Whether your just popping in for a drink or having a function there all of the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and cater to your needs. I have organised parties both in the upstairs room and in the lounge. The food has always been fantastic, lots of choices and more than enough to go back for second helpings. Gillian and her staff could nt be more helpful if they tried. If you looking for somewhere to have a party/wedding Christening etc this would be a perfect choice. Also it has a great family friendly bar if you just fancy a few drinks.Great place to watch the match or a game of cricket.

Can’t recommend the staff here. We held a fundraiser for my daughter trip to Madagascar. Booking was easy, bar staff fab, Craig and the lads who hosted the night for us was just amazing and the food was great. Chef made excellent gluten free option too!We raised nearly £700!! It wouldn’t have been possible without all your support!

We had our wedding reception here in June 2018. The food was amazing the staff couldnt have done any more on the evening they were very accomodating. The only thing to wary of is the time we were to be granted access to the room changed several times over the course from booking it to the day but as a result the staff helped with the set up so not really an issue. The DJ was great takes requests from guests but also allows you to ban specific things ie depressing music that ruins the vibe. If your looking for a wedding venue that looks luxury at reasonable prices this is your venue.

Great, family friendly atmosphere. Good food and drink, recommend it for parties, events and for a quiet pint watching the football.

This wasn't a good experience as I was on a speeding course. They taught me nothing about speeding, quite the opposite in fact.

A bit pricey for Chester but nice surroundings clean and tidy, good parking facilities

Top class venue for our post wedding celebrations. Room setup was spot on. Super service from all the staff involved. 100 guests fed, the food was absolute quality. Loads of dancing thanks to the DJ.

Have only used the function rooms for formal presentations.

This a great community spirited place and very welcoming. Check out the fireworks event on soon in November 2018. It's on their new website.

Great night had by all buffet was fab

Over friendly bunch of regular nutters. Good sports bar. Good beers etc. They are all experts at whatever sport happens to be on the telly. It's a great education, allways good friendly fun. Enjoy.

I regularly drink here, especially on a summer’s day. Beautiful views out of the windows up to the magnificent Lumley Castle as a central viewpoint.Good clientele and a friendly atmosphere. Gets very busy obviously when there is a cricket match on and when Newcastle United are playing on TV.

Different prices every time we went to the bar (for the same drinks).

The good points,Good food and plentiful, the 2 ladies on the evening bar where professional and friendly. Bad points women who promised we would have round tables and we did not get them, linen provided on tables for £50 we did not get them, we did after complaining, acess to lounge from 2.30 we did not have due to cricket being on, she said she would have moved them, but she was not there, no help from downstairs bar staff, cricket seemed to be the main concern here. Would advice if special event make sure cricket is not on, our if really special event go somewhere that cares more

Bit awkward to find car park. Staff friendly and a tidy clean venue

I was here for the Christening reception of my 2 great nephews last year...The bar & food laid on was great and overlooked the ground in a reception room next to the bar.It looks a great club & I'm hoping to get up and watch Durham seconds play Essex in a couple of weeks.Car parking is limited but this is a great place to watch local cricket in a competitive league..

Good range of drinks for a sports club. They have a good value for money pool table and a very good function room. You get a great view of the pitch from the bar area too.

Awesome place during the summer to sit outside with a beer and enjoy the sunshine. Prices for beer are great and it is really nice inside since it's renovation a while ago. Would easily recommend going here for a few drinks.

Booked the function room for a family party, room, staff and food all excellent. Also there was a lift and disabled w/c. Would definitely recommend.

I saw the fireworks display here in 2015. It was good but I couldn't comment on many other aspects of the club, as I was only there for the display
