Amazing Vishu Sadya done today. We were sceptical on the portion size so ordered more but found out quantities were much more. Taste wise it was super delicious and I would recommend anyone. Owner Cherian and his wife were also amazing. Always friendly.

I ordered pazhampori several times which was totally disaster. Price is too high as well

The egg puffs are good, idaiyappam is good, vada is good. Most of the curries taste ok or beneath. Got an egg curry and it was 2 boiled eggs in some red water like gravy. The curries are overpriced for the quality. I wish they improve their curries so you can properly satisfy your South Indian cravings.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Tried the Porotta-Beef Curry and Poori-Masala, and both were absolutely delicious— authentic & flavourful. The porotta was soft and flaky, just like you’d get in Kerala, and the beef curry was rich and full of spices. The service was also great—friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It truly felt like I was enjoying a meal back in Kerala. Will definitely be coming back.

I had food from here and I have never been so disappointed. I ordered oxtail which cost £15.36 by the way and it only had 6 oxtails wid full ah gravy! I’m here thinking that I would have gotten more with that price. I’m from the Caribbean and I have never seen such thing. The food didn’t even taste like it worth it. The coleslaw tuff an flavourless and the rice hard, dry and taste less. I can’t believe I spent so much money on this meal. If you’re going to sell oxtail for such a price… sell it with rice please. At least!

The food was delicious. The way of delivering food was impressive and especially thanks the lady on the front for her patience and description over the food and advices. The shop is quite small but I will recommend to it with your family and friends.

After seeing previous reviews of onam sadhya, we ordered the mega sadhya with 24 items. The reviews said one mega sadhya can serve two people because of the alleged large quantity, so we decided to try. We only received 22 items, they said the banana leaf was included as one of the items but we had to pay extra for real banana leaves anyway, so how can that be included in the price for 24 item sadhya? The quantity of the items were actually very less for two people, overall very disappointed.

One product that deserves special praise is the dosa/idli better from Cherians. Unlike the supermarket varieties, the batter is homemade with absolutely no preservatives. Hence you will see that the dough rises and sours just like how one would've seen back home. Kudos to Cherian chettan for keeping it real!

Dont try kuzhimandhi from here, its just a smokey dish waste of money....

One of the best kerala restaurant in Leicester, I used to buy, evening tea snacks like banana fry etc, everything was so tasty and affordable. It’s a small restaurant and seating capacity is limited.

There was a very long waiting period, even for something as simple as a banana fry; I had to wait 30 minutes for it. Additionally, there was no cleanliness at all.

The food is fresh and so tasty. Tried their chicken mandhi which is also great. But I'm a great fan of their kerala snacks.

Literally the worst shop to buy kerala food. We once bought two chicken biriyanies and it only came with biriyani rice and chicken with no pickles or anything. The manthi we bought for £10 each tasted nothing like a manthi, they didn't even provide us with the mayonnaise and tomato sause almost all shops give. The manthi rice wasn't even real manthi rice and wasn't cooked properly, the chicken tasted nothing like manthi chicken, wouldn't recommend if u prefer actual food. If i could've rated 0 starts, i would.

Paid £17 (ordered online) altogether for a chicken mandi and it didn’t taste anything like it. The taste was bad and too expensive for the quantity we get. Not happy.

One of the tastiest Malayalee food(From Kerala, a state in India) that I have had in the UK. Our favorites are the beef fry, Porrotta, chicken curry, and chicken biriyani. The banana fritters are a must-try. We usually just call-in for the order and collect it. Just feels more homely, and a good chat with Cherian, the store owner. Feel free to have a tasty chai tea if you are waiting at the store.

I ordered beef roast and Porotta from here. Charged very high price for a small quantity. Got just 2 Porotta for nearly 5 pounds and the quantity of beef was very low.Felt really bad

The food here is incredible, best Carribean food I've eaten, the owner is so lovely, such a likeable guy who is passionate about the food he makes, and you can tell everytime you eat here. From the curried goat to the ackee and saltfish dumplings, I love it here.

Awful… I ordered from here today and it was dreadful none of the dishes are traditionally cooked.. the “jerk” chicken was fried chicken in a sauce. And the jerk potato’s also the same sauce just on roasties. I had the brown stew chicken the dish itself was lacking on key ingredients of a brown stew chicken and was overall disappointing.. but my partner ordered as a Jamaican man oxtail and rice at a price of £22 and it was horrible, it was lacking in flavour and ingredients again the rice was like pellets not edible at all, the only good thing I actually ordered was the coleslaw, the only thing on the menu I’d recommend to anyone. Waste of £50 to be honest. Doesn’t take any pride with the food.

PITIFUL … no better words to express the experience i had from Cherians Food court , Narborough rd . This food court is working only to make their pockets filled they are not concerned about the customers satisfaction neither the quality of dishes rather bothered about what all additional charges that they can add on to the bill randomly they charged me around 7 pounds apart from the price mentioned in the menu book . The most pathetic part is like customer’s can’t ask anything once they have prepared the bill you should pay and leave silently like Cherians food court is doing some charity and giving you food for free…. They prepare bills well better than their food . Humble suggestion take the other cuisines in Narborough rd .

👎🏻👎🏻Don't go there, I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. The food was subpar, and the owner seemed greedy. During Onam Sadhya, they served extra rice without our request, and then handed us a bill that was higher than the menu prices. The staff's behavior was also disappointing, as they served extra food without informing us. To make matters worse, the food was tasteless. I would strongly advise against dining here.👎🏻👎🏻

Average place where you can find Kerala snacks and other dishes. Had tried their snacks several times. Each time the snacks were too salty. I have felt It's a bit pricey for the quality they provide.

Very friendly and open hearted is the service man ! Of course when the heart is opened the food is becoming more delicious basically one of the most delicious Caribbean and Indian food shop i ever been. Just give it a try yourself. Peace ! Btw is it cheap as well.

Curry goat full of oil, plus around 4 pieces only, highly priced and ya just paying for oil the rice is £5 for a small portion who charges that , so in a nutshell poor quality food highly priced full of oil calypso is better cheaper and quality I won't be coming here again.

It's a real gem. Such homely food. If you like authentic south Indian and specifically Kerala it will touch your soul.

I've now become a regular as I love the food and staff. The food tastes very very good, big portions, very very reasonably priced. The staff are so laid back and friendly it's a pleasure to speak to them.

Quite possibly the worst festival and mac I have ever had. Id be ashamed to send this food out to a oaying customer and ashamed to call it Caribbean food. Its just oily mush. Im so disgusted.

My first experience of a takeaway from here and it was spot on. Ordered two mains with rice and various sides. Price very good. Food ready on time. The food was excellent, and loads of it. Will definitely get food from there again.
