Relaxed and very cozy pub! Not overcrowded during the day and therefore good for a break while shopping.

A most lovely haunt of Chelsea. One of the first places I frequented in London, having but my small American naivety as to the go of things on this side of the pond. This establishment made me welcome, and I left will a belly full of genuinely delicious cuisine (and Guinness/Peroni/mulled wine, etc.) and heart filled by lovely owner/publican (I believe) and staff generosity, and I felt not one bit an inconvenience…or foreigner. Please frequent this lovely establishment and do what it takes to earn them WAY more than merely 4.2 Google stars. I wish I could catapult them to 5.

£17 for a gin and tonic in a green king pub?! Understanding it’s the festive season but to be promoting drinks menus on the tables with the same drink prices at £11.50 to then be charged £17 is ridiculous. The bar staff were rude and unhelpful. Working in hospitality and being personable isn’t for everyone I guess…

The food and beer are 10! Not so much attention anymore. Being a tourist area and a place open to the tourist public, they are quite closed when it comes to taking a few minutes to explain.

This use to be a great pub in the 80s it's just an expensive tourist trap now.

We came to relieve tiredness. We left very satisfied. It's a clean and spacious place. We came again another day but couldn't find a place :(

£7.8 for a pint of Neck Oil, London-brewed, is pretty egregious

***DO NOT EAT HERE **** The steak sandwich was tasteless, the three vegetarian starters were a disaster. The person behind the bar and the one clearing the table were rude and unhappy. I asked for mustard with my steak sandwich and i was told they never keep mustard. The nachos had soo much salt that we were sick and the flat bread with cheese is actually pita bread with some pieces of pepper on it and it is cold .... as you see is a disaster. Why would the chef & owner serve this food ??????  Avoid avoid avoid.

A really lively local pub on the King's Rd with a traditional interior of high leather chairs and wooden tables. Good beers and wines, with a couple of TVs showing sport but it's not a "sports bar", thankfully. Great for people watching, especially if it's warm and you sit on the tables outside. Friendly staff as well.

🚇 Sloane Square 🍺 £7.15 Brixton Lager The Chelsea Potter is located on the Kings Road on the corner of Radnor walk in Chelsea, West London. The nearest Tube is Sloane Square. This pub was built in 1842 and was originally called The Commercial Tavern. It was renamed in 1958 in honour of the Chelsea Pottery located on Radnor Walk. The Chelsea Potter became famous in the 1960s and 70s", it is claimed that regular customers included Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger. There were once thirteen pubs along this famous thoroughfare, now there are only two. This is a one bar pub which is traditionally decorated. The ceilings are high and have beautiful corinthian columns situated through the middle and by the windows. The servery is located on the right hand side and stretches down the length of the bar. The seating consists of high level poser tables in the centre and low level seating around the perimeter. There are a couple of screens for live sport and some nice features like the etched glass and pictures of Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards. For the warmer months there our benches to the side of the pub. The Beer selection will please most and offers a line up of familiar favourites including three cask ales. I decided on a Brixton Lager, my pint was great, price point was expensive at over seven quid. The food menu is pub classics, Fish & Chips costs £16.95. I visited just after 5pm on a rainy Tuesday afternoon in March. The pub was busy as usual as it attracts lots of passing trade as well as local regulars. The atmosphere was upbeat and buzzy, just how a high street pub should be. This pub does get very busy, especially when the footy is on TV. I had a nice chat with the Guv’nor who was welcoming, chatty and friendly. He was kind enough to let me in on another day to take some photos before the pub opened. I have visited this pub a few times and it is always busy. Unlike many pubs in the area, this Greene King pub isn't gastrofied and retains a proper pub feel. A welcome break after a walk around the Chelsea area. A shame they'd run out of steak and ale pie but the fish and chips was a reasonable alternative.

Happiest memories for me every time I come to The Chelsea Potter having been a Live-In barman during the years of 1967 - 69. Equally in the present day it's always a pleasure to see the existing French Manager Alex who makes me extremely welcome, he is clearly interested in the history of The Potter and demonstrates his love for it. Don’t come here if you want to watch women’s football. We asked to put on the Chelsea women’s WSL match (and we are in CHELSEA btw). The man behind the counter said “I don’t see why not”, he was nice enough but his colleague who he mentioned it to rolled his eyes and screwed up his face. This young guy also was talking about the 0-0 score negatively 7 minutes in. It’s 2024, do better.

For this being one of the only pubs actually on the King's Road it was a bit scruffy when compared with all others we went to in Chelsea that day. Guinness was OK, drinkable.

Busy pub , nice cider ,usual high prices for the area. Staff a bit grumpy.

No steak or chicken on the menu as well as not sweet potato fries. My suggestion is if you are planning to visit maybe check with what food they have available first. Lack of knowledge from staff about the menus also. Refused to have a meal here.

Amazing place a classic spot we always go to!

Had a delightful experience at the Chelsea Potter the other day. The barman was very polite and courteous. We had a katsu burger and a fish and chips that were very tasty. We tried the new Estrella galicia. Great beers with great taste. There were some football going on and the atmosphere were very electric. Chelsea game was on so must be the reason. We will come back again. Thank you guys for the experience
