Chelmsford Chinese takeaway, never disappoints. Food hot and tasty, recommend the Szechuan and Singapore fried rice , sweet and sour Hong Kong style. The only thing I felt could be improved on are the chips, they were a bit over done and soggy.

Food is always nice and fresh, very tasty!! Great kebabs.. the fish and chips are also really good and not greasy.. our go to takeaway!

Very disgusting food and staff get treated so terribly, everytime I’m in there I can hear an argument with the boss I am guessing and one of her staff members. It is an awful environment in there

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Had gravy that was pure powder and food that was cold and tasteless and had kids running around like it was a playground with no one supervising go nextdoor and get a kabab you will actually enjoy it

Had a meal from this takeaway haven't been there for a while so thought I'd give it a try I ordered 2 pancake rolls and chips upon opening the bag there was grease running off the pancake rolls they were overcooked and burnt the batter was about 3 cm deep all hard and greasy could tell they had been refried The chips had been refried too they were disgusting in fact the whole meal was disgusting, only a matter of time before someone gets sick eating their food WILL NEVER USE AGAIN

Not as good as Lucky Dragon across the road. Lived in the area 16 years and only eaten at Chelmsford a few times and each time was disappointing, lacking in flavour. Looks great from the outside but just does not do it for me and only go here when Lucky Dragon is shut i.e. Tuesdays. Clean, and seems as popular as Lucky Dragon, maybe its a taste thing but I can only speak about my experience which has always been average to disappointing.

Excellent menu, price and delivery service. Very varied menu and everything freshly cooked and delicious. Would highly recommend.

Me and my partner ordered from here last night . The chips was very dry and cold they look liked they had been cooked and just friend several times. The other food we ordered was also cold and dry, there was no flavour to the Chinese it was disgusting and will never order from here again

Just rang back to say she got my order wrong and to say she sent it to the wrong address and me and my partner have just been spoken to like crap via the receptionists she’s a young girl by sound of her attitude very disappointed in the service

Decided to try out this take away again after several years as we had moved further away from it didn't disappoint food was still as good as we remembered good size portion and piping hot

Our son bought a meal from here xmas eve. 2hrs later he was violently sick then all the family went down with violent sickness 2 year old 5 and 6 year old and wife.they were ill all night and still are at 12.00 xmas day.

Ordered a takeaway on friday, it was delivered promptly, and the portions were big. Arrived hot and the food was spot on.

Passing nearby, food was hot and tasty. Ordered the chicken black bean and sweet and sour chicken with chips. Chips were okay but a little soft.

The worst Chinese in Grimsby, absolutely revolting, everything over cooked, sources like pee, and taste shocking! Stay well clear of this dump of a Chinese

I have used this takeaway for over 20 years and its always been reliably excellent, but my last order was horrific! Whilst eating I noticed that the taste was "off" in fact I spit out the prawn as it tasted so rancid, the chips were dried and like cardboard and the spare ribs tasted disgusting, not at all how it usually tastes. This is what makes me question if it has changed ownership or chefs. 6 hours later I had severe stomach pains and started my long night of vomiting and diarrhea. This can only be due to the Chinese meal, as I had nothing else all day before the meal or after. Will definitely not be ordering from here again! Im just so very happy that my pregnant daughter in law didnt eat the same as me or the results could have been far far worse!

Is this women drunk??,thats what I asked myself when ordering, so rude and it looked like she's just arrived to work from after a day on the alcohol,

I rang and ordered the chinese at 5pm and they said 30-40 mins it turned up at 6.20 and had to microwave it as it was cold...what a shame as it was my favourite chinese but the last few orders have been poor.

Ordered from this Takeaway for as long as we have lived at our address which is 20+ years. The last three orders from them were terrible. Cold food & dried up chips, any gravy dish would be set like glue as it was so thick being cold.

OMG. Two weeks running this place has got my order wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first one. Tonight I got home having not checked the carrier bags and again they have left out my food. Very very poor

Plenty of choice on the menu I had a chicken chowmein it was piping hot and tasted very nice hubby had beef satay said it was lovely

We have found this one of the best Chinese takeaways in the area, everything is always hot and good. they have a very extensive menu.

The chips where hard. The pancake roll was swimming in grease. The rice and curry was just ok. Won't be back

We use this take away quite regularly for our Chinese meals the food is always freshly prepared it is plentiful. Never fails to please wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great value food , tastes good and service is quick and hassle free . Other takes away close by but this is the best choice. Parking a bit of a pain but plenty of options

£7.40 for one special chowmein, not a single bit of meat except for tiny chunks of what looked like ham with a fried egg on top! Not worth the money, won't go here again

Chelly Chinese always seems to have a good trade which tells you something about the place. I find the staff efficient and friendly, the food is well cooked and tasty.

After an epic journey back to gy i thought I'd treat myself as i didnt fancy cooking. The front of house guy was lovely and friendly and the food was perfect. Chicken and mushrooms with egg fried rice was spot on and still really hot when i got home. My new favorate take away.

We ordered a meal and one of the dishes didn't arrive when I called back they wanted to charge delivery to bring it.I asked to speak to the manager but the silly girl on the phone got her version of events in and he wouldnt come to the phone. Lost a good customer been ordering from here for years for the sake of £1.20 !! Good business. And what we did get was greasy and cold.

Probably the worst takeaway I have ever had. The meat on the ribs, was so over cooked it was completely inedible. The chips were dry and had the consistency of cardboard. Will never eat here again.

We decided to try this place recently and we were so impressed with it we actually had it two days in a row! It's the best Chinese takeaway I have had in grimsby so far and our new favourite! Would be good if they did a mid week special like 4 dishes for a tenner or something similar to match other Chinese takeaways in the area. Great takeaway, very happy.

I have had a take away from here many times and previously would have sworn this is the best in town. However after tonight's meal I won't be going back what a waste of £13 and a waste of a nice night in as I now don't feel very well at all.My shredded beef was burned and tasted disgusting I did ring up to tell them and to be fair they did deliver me another meal however it was from the same batch only not at burnt this time but now my stomach is doing loop the loops.

This is one of my favourite takeaways in grimsby it's lovely and very popular, I always order 1/4 crispy duck you get so much for your money it's fantastic

I have had meals from this place loads and loads of times and in my eyes is the best chinese takeaway by far in this area.Never had a bad meal always fresh and good quality ingredients and value for money. It changed ownership a while ago now and had a couple of teething problems i think at first like getting orders wrong missing dishes from your order but they have got past that stage now. Overall good reliable service and great food keep it up chelly!!!!!!
