Chefs Table in Tonbridge and Malling

My friend had booked this restaurant for her birthday lunch next weekend (Sat 27th May) but the restaurant have cancelled on us out of the blue due to having another booking that is apparently more important than our long-standing booking. So we have had to book somewhere else. I find that behaviour to be very unprofessional and unacceptable and it makes me not want to ever visit.

Came here for brunch today. Have been meaning to come for dinner but for some reason not got round to it. Brunch was exceptional quality food and extremely reasonable. Great service. Will definitely be back for brunch but also that dinner! congratulations on an excellent restaurant.

Food was first class cooked with passion and skill why when eating out would you not want the best. Plenty of average restaurants around but this was a beautiful experience. The service was great and very knowledgeable.

We have been to the Chefs Table a few times as we live locally, each time we are rewarded with fabulous food and a wonderful experience. The tasting menu last Saturday was well balanced, generous and each course delicious and a delight to look at. The wines Brad chose to go with each of the courses were also beautifully matched to the food. The Chefs are fantastic, work very hard and put so much thought into both the flavours and the presentation - all in all 'works of art'. The service was impeccable, with great attention to detail at every course and an explanation about both the food and wine but never intrusive. The venue is small and intimate while the atmosphere is both friendly and lively making it a great evening. Everything about the experience was perfect in every way - we can't wait to go back again! We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely travel to it if we had to! (luckily we don't!!)

An incredible little gem and perfect place for a birthday treat or date night. The food was incredible, the chefs are clearly very talented and the wine pairing option is great value. A special mention for Abbie who was our waitress and made us feel very comfortable.

Visited January 24, venue is very intimate, they have 3 tables and do a sitting around 6 and another at 8.30. service was excellent with a very helpful description of each dish once served. Food was AMAZING, on par with some of the best restaurants and tasting menus I've had previously. My partner is pregnant and the chef swapped out the seafood course with a lovely risotto ( I warned them at booking). Recommend arriving dead on your timeslot, if your are early you may need to wait a couple of minutes if the previous sitting is not over yet. I'll say it again.... The food was amazing! Delightful meat courses, aswel as stunning desserts. Tasting menu is £99 per person, if your want wine pairing then this is extra, aswel at drinks of course. Kitchen is open so you can see and hear the chefs working hard on your food. I highly recommend a visit if you like a fantastic tasting menu.

We arrived here with great enthusiasm and excitement, sadly this was quite the contrary. One of the first tasters was a plate of butter, no exaggeration this wins the top spot for overkill, the Milk Bread was also very disappointing.. good that they are trying but it just shows! Dish after dish of complete nothingness, we just tried to excuse that maybe the next dish would be better? Crab tasted like seafood sticks. The venison and dew had potential. Ice cream was amazing but the chocolate biscuit was burnt and ruined a quality dessert. The restaurant on our visit was so cold, I had to put my Coat back on, was informed the heaters were apparently not working, which added to truly unpleasant experience, the waitress was polite and tried her best. We have eaten in some of the best Michelin restaurants around the world and food was very much “trying” but so very substandard, prices was on the other-hand potentially higher than many top restaurants. Easy review. Food beautiful Service excellent Ambiance lovely All in all a fantastic experience and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The chef is so clever turning out plate after plate of beautiful food . The wine flight complemented the meal perfectly. Service was friendly and each course / wine was explained perfectly. All in all the best evening and we will certainly return.

One of the best resturants in kent!

By far our favourite restaurant in Kent! The food is seasonal and amazing quality. The wine pairs were spot on. If you like restaurants such as The West House, Thackeray’s and Reads this will be a winner for you but in a more intimate setting.

Absolutely superb from start to finish. Excellent menu, perfectly executed, well considered and chosen wine list and faultless service. Can’t wait to go back.

The menu changes every couple of months. I've been here twice and the food has been excellent both times.

Took my mum for her birthday, along with my wife and step-Dad. I wasn’t prepared for how small it was until you step inside. The layout is perfect with enough space between each table to have your own private dining experience, but also close enough to have the odd inevitable chat with others with only 10 people dining. You are only a few meters away from the two non-stop chefs and well looked after by the restaurant manager / server / bartender. The tasting menu was out of this world, with so many fresh and tasty dishes, including a few with some really nice surprises and twists. A must visit for a special occasion.

Following a recommendation from a friend at work my husband and I went to the chefs table. What we had been told didn’t do it justice. If you appreciate amazing food this is a place you must visit. There is only have a few tables which makes the experience even more special. They change the menu every month. Don’t think twice book you won’t regret it!!!

We ate at the Chef’s Table yesterday for a birthday celebration, having been once before. The food was absolutely incredible, from start to finish and the restaurant is worthy of far more recognition! We loved it and will definitely be back, top drawer!!

What an amazing experience. We had a table of 8 which is basically booking the restaurant as a private dining evening. The food & service on on par with the best Michelin * level restaurants of London / Europe, but with a cozy very personal atmosphere. Amazing meal at Chef’s Table. Brad and his team have created a unique and intimate dining experience. Each course was full of flavour and absolutely delicious - a particular highlight were the locally foraged mushrooms and the chocolate dessert. They also try and support local businesses and be as sustainable as possible, which only adds to the experience. Would thoroughly recommend.

Fabulous taster menu meal last night using a voucher we had been given.Sam was the chef for the evening and it was lovely to actually watch him use his skills to create each course and plate it up so beautifully.Bonnie was our waitress, attentive but not intrusive and she explained each course in detail with was appreciated. Ethically and locally sourced produce where possible including mushrooms foraged in Boughton Monchelsea last night.Not a cheap evening at £89 a head without the wine flight but this is a real foodie experience and we are lucky to have it in West Malling.We'll definitely be back to dine here again. The food here is very good. Each of our seven courses from the taster menu was top quality. In line with its marketing, this is definitely a small and cosy restaurant. There are literally only 10 seats and - as far as I'm aware - only the taster menu is available. You therefore definitely need to book ahead. As it's a taster menu, you get a nice varied meal, and the menu changes each month. The food comes out promptly and in sync with the other diners. Some people choose the wine pairing option too, though a regular drinks menu is available. On our night, the chef introduced each of the dishes personally.

Waiting in the snow with all the other diners for the restaurant to open was not the best start. In my opinion these premises really do not work for this dining experience - far too small and intimate. Perfect for private hire but that’s all. Unfortunately, whilst immaculately presented, the dishes were bland and unremarkable. All in all a rather bizarre experience that I will not be repeating or recommending.
