chefs delight in Wiltshire

If you’re ever in tidworth and hungry I would highly recommend it. I popped in for a breakfast. Ordered and seated. Plenty of seats inside and out. Very friendly staff. Our food came out fast hot and how I liked things cooked. The menu offers lots of different options. Grace was helpful and friendly and nothing was a bother. Again I would highly recommend this cafe located in the high street.

It was about six years since my last visit and I was really surprised at the quality and the pleasantness of service. Has bubble and squeak with my breakfast, an unusual and really nice choice. Staff all lovely people. I’ll go again!

Great place for meeting people and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The food and coffee is good here and we've been regular visitors for some time. The staff are friendly and efficient and Grace always cheers us up with her lively banter!

The service was great. The food was served very quickly and it was hot. I had a decaffeinated coffee which was lovely , husband had an americano which was tasty

food ok service ok,everytime we go here there are the same 3-4 men sat directly outside door all smoking ,it stinks you walk thro the smoke going in ,the door to the restaurant was open as sun was out you could smell it everywhere inside,i asked the waitress to close the door which she did but 5 mins later it was open again totally ruined our meal.as far as i could see only one was drinking a cup of coffee but all were smoking.every time we drive past they are there,we will not be going there again.

Good food, well cooked and at a reasonable price. We regularly eat here before shopping. The staff are brilliant too. Tables are cleared and cleaned well, even when busy. Sadly, I must have a little moan... about the condiment boxes. They are a great idea but today, I noticed that the handles are very sticky/greasy. Perhaps a little rub doen with sandpaper would solve this and make them more hygienic. sorry to moan but I've been in the howpitality business for a long time and the problem really stood out. It won't stop us eating there though, one of our favourites. Many thanks.

We oder3d a home delivery this morning and all I an say was yum it was hot nicely presented and because we made a mistake with ordering extra items instead of swapping we got a free piece of carrot cake which was delicious Highley recommended nice food not greasey and good value for money thanks guys

We waited over 45 minutes for egg & chips here recently, which is unacceptable. More fool us because we said we wouldn't go back - but did lol! Never again. No apology and when we asked for a complimentary cup of tea due to wait, it was practically chucked at us. Foul looks all round just because we complained about the long wait. Well, they are always busy but we have never waited 45 minutes for a basic snack before and our observation was/is that the serious delays are being caused by their prioritising TAKEAWAYS over sit-down customers, who pay more. Ludicrous.

We have been going to this place for years - and enjoyed it but recently it seems to have gone downhill. Prices are getting ridiculous - and you can get similar for much cheaper elsewhere frankly. The worst experience recently was that the bacon with our meal was about half as much as usual at the same price and the mushrooms and chips were so dry they had clearly been left a while! We didn't want a scene so have decided not to return. We used to eat here 2-3 times a month, so our custom will be missed and if other people do the same, they will need to clean up their act. Too many very young staff and no sign of any management.

Great value good money. Lovely, well cooked food at a reasonable price. Genuine café experience with plenty of friendly staff.

Food was good but staff weren't no hello, no smile, forgotten cutlery, no thanks when we left, we felt as if we were intruders!!!!!!!! I know we all have bad days, but I was taught, once in uniform your on a stage..... smiles go along way

The weather was nice so decided to sit outside. For once I was early, I ordered so when my friend arrived we could eat straight away. Staff were very friendly, prices were reasonable and all the food was freshly prepared. I had a chicken melt panini with onions, which was lovely but very filling, so took half away. My friend said her bacon bap was lovely. My latte was nice, but a tad too strong for me. I ordered a carrot cake, which is rather large so we had half each to take away! I would recommend .

Visited to eat outside but it was DIRE. Couldn't get any service at all - and all the staff seemed to care about what looking after the SMOKERS outside, nursing endless coffees....if this doesn't improve we won't be back!

We used to frequent this place quite a lot before the lockdown and went there today, after about 5 months. The food was ok - but I didn't feel that comfortable really. The tables were properly spaced-out etc...and the staff are nice BUT the staff weren't wearing masks. I don't know the exact protocol for staff wearing masks serving in cafes - but feel safer then they do.... I do know that quite a few places have their staff wearing masks, which is more reassuring. We live in strange times I know but I won't be returning here for a while - because it is very busy and I felt a bit at risk, in spite of the eat-out to help out discount!

We visit the Chef's Delight regularly on Wednesday mornings. Following an enforced hiatus due to the measures introduced in response to you-know-what, we returned this last Wednesday to find the food, drink and atmosphere to be to the same brilliant standard as before. Highly recommended.

We recently ordered some breakfast baps to take away, and honestly we have never tasted anything so amazing! Was the perfect well needed treat during the lockdown period.

Lovely breakfasts! A cosy place and seems popular as it was rather busy between 9-10am this morning. I had a sausage and egg sandwich and my partner had sausage and mushroom. Also was pleased that they had yorkshire tea!

Nice cafe with friendly staff , very cheap and reflected in food and drink , white coffee served with UHT milk mini cartons and sausage sandwich though nice in size had economy sausages at best

When I'm working in the area I often pop in for a quick lunch and I've never been disappointed. Quality, taste and value provided by friendly staff.

Call in on way to visit family in Salisbury and we have never been disappointed. The All Day breakfast is freshly cooked and plentiful. Egg, bacon, sausage, tomato, mushrooms and delicious fried bread. All served with fantastic coffee. Excellent value at about a fiver and beautifully cooked. Recommend it to all. .

Called in enroute and although Tripadvisor last review stated no credit card they no accept them. Good service and food and drink as you would expect. Very clean.

Had breakfast and a cupa decent food but not good understanding of English at till and they only take cash. Got order wrong which was not surprising and were impolite in correcting and rude when delivering not welcoming staff. But as i said food was fine at reasonable price.

Can only judge the breakfast . It was good price not the best quality food but cooked correctly . The price was good . I personally prefer better quality less quantity but I did enjoy it .

Medium sized cafe with outside seating available. Top, speedy service with decent prices - I will try the breakfast next time. Good cup of tea.

Breakfast menu very good, something freshly cooked and plenty of it. If you go later the lunch time menu caters for all and kids specials a very good idea. Child friendly , and tables outside if you like eating and people watching. All together GREAT.

we saw this place on a visit to tidworth,the place looked clean and tidy and staff were polite.they did a great bacon and egg sandwich on fresh white bread and a nice brew.very competitive prices as well

We both had jacket potatoes. These were a generous size with good home cooked fillings. The staff were friendly and fast. All very reasonably priced. I will bring my husband next time!

Love this little cafe A real hidden gem. Great food , great prices. From fry up to curry. They cater for everybody. Well worth a vist. Immaculate premises.

Excellent food, and excellent staff, and very clean.. I found Jay as an excellent helper when and if a language problem occurs (very rare). The girls are so friendly, and helpful, and with that overall, it's a very happy run business.All in all an outstanding cafe to enjoy some good food.

I used to go here lots but avoid it now. Although the food is good, my order always seems to be wrong and I feel some of the staff are quite rude. It seems hard to rectify errors with whoever is in charge because the response you get is "the kitchen know what you wanted" when they clearly didn't.

I meet with friends and family on a nearly weekly basis! I'm a regular here! And Ali has fantastic customer service the only down side is when he's not working

Found this place when sat nev sent us on a diversion to avoid traffic. On our way home, one week later, we deliberately took the longer ride to eat hear again. Great food, nice big portions, fresh, quick, friendly, clean and comfortable. Think that covers it.

Found a table and then orders breakfast, easy to follow menu albeit lots to choose from which may mean why the quality of the food is t great.Both had a Cooked breakfast, sausages were not of a high standard but the rest of the breakfast was okay, it is reasonably priced and is served quickly so good if you haven't got a lot of time. To be honest it does what it says on the tin, reasonably priced cafe serving okay food.

We use Chefs delight regularly, and it's great for breakfast or lunches, you can eat healthily with their amazing salads , jackets or omelettes, or choose to have a massive breakfast or chip meal, and it is always great lift ions and well cooked, serves the best Tea.......for catching up with friends over a cuppa, and the best bit is its always spotlessly clean.

Microwaved or deep fried food, last time I was here, men were sat by the window swearing with every other word even thought there was children around. Better off going to the subway across the road. Worse cafe iv been to.

In here most mornings for a few coffees and meetings. Best coffee around efficient service even when busy can't fault the staff, especially Jay who's always up for a laugh and a warm welcome

My husband and I eat here a couple of times a month at the weekend and have never been disappointed. Huge portions, fast and very friendly service and excellent omelettes with fresh side salad. Can be busy but that is a reflection of how popular it is. The best cafe in Tidworth, very clean toilets and overall really good value for money.

We tend to visit Chefs Delight most Sunday Mornings with friends after our mornings training. The staff are extremely friendly, the service is great and the food is great quality at a reasonable price! Would definitely recommend to anybody, it is by far the best Cafe in the area!

I often meet my mother for lunch there,they do the best milky coffee ive ever had,and the food is great,large portions too.The staff are always friendly and helpful,nothing is to much trouble.

The girls come here every Wednesday for lunch. Sometimes 3 of us sometimes up to 9 of us. The staff are very friendly and even allow us to alter the seating to accommodate all of us. They even rearrange the menus for some of our fussier members without any complications whatsoever. We have been coming here for over 2 years now and will continue to do so. Thank you for putting up with us girlies.

Have been calling at this cafe fairly regular for 5 or 6 years now. Once or twice a week when i happen to be in the area. Always found it clean and tidy and a good quick service. The staff are friendly and the food is good. Cafes of this quality and prices are few and far between these days.

Myself and my colleagues come here every Wednesday for our weekly ladies lunch and have been doing so for quite some time. The staff are always extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We always have a delicious lunch which is always tailored to meet some members of our group's special requests!! The food is always cooked beautifully and delivered to the table quickly.

I've been coming here for a few years now and have no complaints. The food is always good and the service is fast. However, the main reason I come here is because the stunning Indian man who works there. I can't keep my eyes off of him he is so lush. Definitely the lushest man I've ever met.

A group of us have been using this Cafe for nearly 4 1/2 years now. There is a good choice on the Menu and the Staff have always been so welcoming and friendly, especially Jay, Ella and Kami. We always have a chat to them and they make our visits special. The Cafe is often very busy especially at lunch time but the service is always great. It is excellent value.

My wife and l decided to give it a go before a food shop , looks impressive , but the staff need a bit of training on how to speak to new customers , l found the girls behind the counter rude whether they are like it because they have to deal with hungover soldiers most of the time is not a reason to be rude to others , there is also a lndian gentlemen who walks around eyeing people as if everyone he meets he wants to fight he also is rude , when our meals came there was no cutlery or napkins so then had to go to the counter to ask for them his answer when was " yeah other there " pointing to a tight spot almost behind the counter , we will not be taking a 2nd visit there and surprised that they have the reviews that they have on here . Other all the food was pretty good , but as for the staff like l wrote they could do with a big bit of training on how to speak to people

This provides good honest food. Reasonably priced and easy to order. You can enjoy a good conversation with whoever your with.

I have been coming here over the last 4 years and it's still as good as it was back then. If cafe is one for those who crave a big hearty meal or even a healthy light bite and its reasonably priced for the meals that appear in front of you.The menu's are the same and there is no specials board, though there is an array of foods on the menu from breakfasts which is served all day, Jacket spuds, omlettes, english dishes, roasts and salads, plus an array of drinks and a few desserts on offer. The meals I have sampled are freshly made, hot and truely scrumptious and will keep you full for a long time.

New tables and chairs, new crockery and new cutlery and a little change to the menu but the food is still spot on.The staff were very helpful and couldn't do enough for me and my handicapped daughter.We will definitely stop there again when in that area.

Over the years Chefs Delight had changed ownership, widened its menu and uped its prices. It has a great atmosphere, staff are very kind and polite. You can order anything from a full English fry up to calamari. Prices have increased in the last year but the food quality is good. I'd defiantly recommend if your looking for a hangover breakfast or a lunch out with visiting family.

Have visited here quite a few times now for a variety of food such as jacket potato to full english breakfast when nursing a hangover!Staff are friendly, food is good and the portions are pretty big like so good size for the amount you pay. Can get quite busy though so sometimes a bit cramped. Good cafe though and will use again.

We placed an order for collection, when we I'm collected they had got the order completely wrong but we did not realise as it was all pre wrapped. Once we arrived home with the order not only was the order wrong but the bread was mouldy and the bacon and sausage had clearly been pre cooked and reheated. We returned to get our order replaced and we're told that as they were busy they couldn't be blamed for getting the order wrong. This clearly is the perfect place for people with a hangover as they are less likely to notice the low quality of the food which probably isn't what they ordered anyway.

Hi, we went to the Chefs Delight Tidworth yesterday, 13 September and we had one of the best omelettes i have had in a very long long time. The staff were very helpful and could not do enough for us. My father was so impressed with the coffee that he had 3 cups. I will most definately return Katie- Louise Gallagher and her farther.

Vsited whilst on way to Bournemouth for early Sunday Breakfast. The Staff were very friendly and obliging. The premise were spotlessly clean and busy at 8-30am. The Breakfast was cooked fresh and the quantity and quality was very good. Breafast for two for less than a tenner Looking at the Menu as whole all seemed great value as it needs to be in an Army based town. So if on your way to the South Coast call in you will not be disappointed

This is THE place to get delicious food, quick service and a warm welcome. A huge choice from big fry ups, paninis, jacket potatoes, burgers or even a salad. The most family friendly outlet it's always spotlessly clean and the staff are brilliant. Equally, if you're a bit worse for wear, hung over or loading up for a night out head for Chef's Delight. It's unbelievably good value for what you get - we're a family of four and we always go back. Just brilliant.
