Chef Beijing in Bedford

Chef Beijing never disappoints! The food is always served hot and tastes amazing. I usually go for the Chicken Patay, and it’s always on point—flavorful, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Consistently great quality and service make this my go-to spot. Highly recommend!

Chef Beijing is one of the best Chinese and Thai food around. Food, service and drivers are very nice. They are very busy as I have been to collect on a few occasions too and always had good experiences. Definitely worth a try either delivery or collection.

Worst chinese I've ever had in my life. Absolutely disgusting pile of slop. Avoid this chinese at all costs. The owners should be ashamed.

This is the WORST Chinese we have ever had! The duck was hard. The crispy chilli beef was vile! £73 and we threw most of it away! Will never order from here again. If I could leave 0 stars I would!!

Food was ordered over an hour before the time I requested and arrived 45 minutes after requested time

Noodles microwaved, rice hard and microwaved. All dishes oily and tasteless, prawn crackers soggy. Made me ill for a week, honestly made me not want to order a Chinese again. Rang the owner up and he laughed and told me ‘fresh noodle, fresh chicken, absolute disgrace on china.

Superb food and great service would recommend

Delivery driver was very nice, but the food - chicken balls far FAR too greasy and sauce was like plain water. The curry was pure spice no actual flavour at all no mushrooms or vegetables at all just very thick gloopy sauce meat and onions and rice was bland and over cooked.

Nice food lovely crispy chilli beef was all nice just i found all the sauces slightly runny for my personal taste . But yes i will re order

Ordered as I wondered about the 3* review Pros: Chkn balls and prawn toast - lovely. S& S Sauce - thin but tasty. Chilli beef - lovely S&S Chicken - lovely. Crackers - yum. Cons: Egg FR & Chow Mein - never again. Shame as not many deliver

i ordered roast duck and mushrooms,the duck was so over cooked,i could not chew it.i wont be ordering from you again,you used to be the best,not now

Delivery was better than the food. My chew meins was all mushy and didn’t taste nice.

The Thai prawn and mangetout was so fresh and tasty. As was everything else that I ordered. Authentic umami taste and hot when delivered. Recommended.

Further to my review about missing items I did eventually get through to the restaurant and they did deliver the missing items and gave free prawn crackers which was much appreciated especially as we live quite far out. Delicious as always.

The sweet & sour pork was a bit dry, and seemed old/ stale. But everything else was good.

We ordered the set meal for 2 and each dish was pipping hot, flavoursome and delicious. Thank you!

We ordered food via Uber eats It was poor, the chow mean was dry and crackly, sweet and sour balls dry and tough, rice dry overall not nice barely edible

chicken balls were over cooked and very dry, a few were rock hard from being over cooked, wont be using again, as its bit a lot of hit and misses with all my previous orders, so i'll avoid like the plague,

The delivery woman was unprofessional, she left her car running with VERY loud music playing from it in our quiet neighbourhood. She then left our food on our doorstep (on top of the welcome mat) and didn’t wait for us to open the door. We watched her dance back to her car. It was really strange and such terrible service. We won’t be ordering again. The food was also bland and the chicken balls were over-fried and really dry.

Tasty food and delivered quite far, the delivery drivers were very nice.

Chicken balls were dry as a bone and had tons of batter that was so thick.

The food was not good at all. It all tasted the same. From the curry to the ribs to the satay chicken. Even the salt and pepper prawns were in the same dark brown liquid that was not nice at all and that dish should have been dry. I wasted my money as I had to throw it all away. The soup was the only thing I could eat. The rice looked and tasted as if it was out of a packet, no tasted and the texter was like rubber. I want a refund.

I’m sorry to say that was the worst crispy duck I have ever had. Duck already shredded and dried out. Served with a thin sugary flavourless sauce - not what I would call hoi sin. Threw most of it away and paid £13 for that.

Food was tasty and hot. Delivery was super quick. The delivery driver was very respectful towards the property and was very polite.

Ordered a few things a Thai rice dish which was awful, no flavours just really sweet. Same for the sweet and sour Hong Kong style chicken. Just super sweet with no other flavours. I threw the food away

There was a mishap with the delivery. The restaurant re-made the order for me. Later the delivery driver knocked to apologise for the error.

Obnoxious behaviour and customer service, put phone down on me 3 times when I called about a query on an online order, told me hadn’t received it although money had shown as debit on my bank account. Said I had to order again via deliveroo. Obvs wanted to check I’d be credited for previous order if bank account showed two debits but told me I was causing him trouble and that he didn’t want my order and put phone down on me for the third time.

Ordered the crispy chicken chow mein (tasteless, no flavour at all), satay chicken skewers (sauce was mostly oil, didn’t taste like peanuts at all, chicken was dry and chewy), special curry (nothing special about it, didn’t taste like curry, more floury than curry. Chicken was dry. Pork was chewy and tasteless. Had to add own seasonings to make it palatable), prawn toast and spring rolls were average. Overall an extremely disappointing experience from a usually great place, gone very downhill.

Excellent service. Order came to 30 pounds. I only had 40 pounds. The lady went to the shop and got change and gave me ten pounds back. Excellent service and great food. Highly recommended

Food was freezing cold by the time we got it, had to walk 300yrds to meet the driver as they didn’t understand or speak English, rung the restaurant to ask where the food was and he was very aggressive would urge anyone that’s hungry and wants warm food to not order from here. Worst experience of my life!

Used to be my favourite Chinese but the quality has dropped massively - chicken was dry and tough, wontons were burnt, ribs were burnt, there was a teaspoons worth of seaweed - surprised they were happy to send the food out like that.

I ordered King prawn chow mein the noodles were discussing totally over cooked and made me feel ill. I also ordered vegetarian spring rolls which were nice. Because of the chow mein I would not order from here again.

I am absolutely gutted I ordered early thinking nothing of it as I am a loyal customer and have ordered many times before, I don’t know what happened tonight, first the driver left the food on the doorstep without giving me a chance to get to the door and as I opened the door he was at the bottom of the drive I didn’t mind that I guessed it was due to parking, got the food in (that is all now In my bin) chicken and prawn balls burnt, chicken and mushroom dry overcooked, prawn toast burnt and har

Disgusting. Rang to see where my order was and was told a further 10mins, and was rude on the phone when told him it had been nearly 25mins already

Food was ok but it arrived 30 mins early and my wife wasn’t home. I did specify 18.45 but appreciate it may have arrived 10 mins early or late. Back to the food. The ribs were so tough and not enjoyable at all. A waste of £8 tbh. Chow mein was nice. I won’t be rushing back if I’m totally honest.

Last year whilst scrolling just eat, I came across this Chinese and I haven't gone anywhere else. Unlike other places, I found the food to be great, not greasy or artificial thickener. Even though I went via the just eat app, I have spoken to the chef a few times and found him nothing but polite and helpful. Dont imagine that I would go anywhere else!!

thought i'd give this another go ordering from here, as the last order was over cooked and the batter was clearly burnt, today i ordered more or less the same things, and the chicken balls were over cooked and chewy, as was the batter, and was very salty, won't be ordering again

Late, didn’t enjoy the crispy seaweed as too much sugar and the chow mien was horrible. It was dry and had a powdery texture. The worst we have ever had

Very tasty food again from chef Beijing. The only thing as I said last time could do with improving is the hoisin source which was very runny again it should be a little thicker.
