Chef Asia in Havering

We ordered lamb nehari and a portion of samosa chaat with naan. Love the nehari and samosa chaat was 10/10. The owner I think she also gave a kheer as a complimentary. The service was a bit slow and it was a little cold there. But overall the food was amazing and it’s also halal. Decent price with huge portions. Would defo recommend trying it.i forgot to take a picture was so hungry 🤤 straight diged in as soon as the food arrived.

Literally the best restaurant in Romford, fell in love with Garlic naan . The chicken pulaao reminds me of my home and can't say enough for the chicken kebab . Garlic naan+ chicken kebab literally the best combo to try . The owner lady is so friendly .

Authentic, tasty menu with some out of the ordinary dishes. Recommend the Karela keema and Lagori chargha.

Stingiest of stingy staff, you buy one and a half kg food and they give you one small portion or salad and raita. I don't recommend them at all.

OK where do i start. I place my order with the lady at the counter who doesnt know the prices and cant read prices from the menu. She asks her boss and he doesnt give her straight answer either. Anyway i order masala fish and paneer tikka with some naan. I wait for 30 mins and can see in the back that they have not even started making my food. 30 minutes later boss comes out and says sorry we dont have paneer tikka or masala fish. Totally wasted my time and will never go here again. Their service is very slow and they serve one customer at a time! dont go here

I went in to eat and he told me that he doesn't serve me unless I want takeout. and they had tables outside and inside. the idea is that they didn't want to let me eat there. as if my money wasn't good

I had my lunch there for the first time. I can't forget the smile and the welcoming face of the staff the chef and everyone . The food was unbelievable. We were served as no one expects. lovely and welcoming. delicious food I swear. I recommend everyone try experience this place.

Excellent piping hot Punjabi food at its rustic best. I had steaming saag paneer that had a fantastic deep flavour along with a tandoori roti and melted butter. It was hot and delicious. I finished off with gulab jamun and piping hot sweet masala chai. Everything was fab. Thanks ladies 🙏🏼

1/4 BOX SOLD AS FULL CHOWMEIN. We should have known when we entered and another lady was complaining about her takeaway smelling funny and being terrible. We still ordered 2 chow mein for £7.99 each and we got home to find these TINY portions. We called the shop to complain about the portion size and then were told ‘well that is why we gave you a discount’.. so the lady knew that portion size will be small so she gave us a discount without telling us that the portion will be small. we did not ask for a discount, it was offered, we assumed we are still getting full size of what we ordered. We were more than happy to pay full price. We explained if she had told us we would have just ordered more or different food. She then changed it to well that is our portion size. Then again went back to well it’s small that’s why we gave discount. So which one was it? She did not apologise once. Ridiculous customer service. Not to mention the chow mein is dry and has no taste.

I came here after a recommendation by my colleague, who left a positive post. These people are the rudest, most condescending ever. Someone was staring from another table ominously! We found out it was the owner. Take your chance with Iford Lane with more choice and politeness. I'm shocked, considering what my colleague said; he is usually right!

Went to restaurant were offered menue. When ordered was placed, owner came up and said he has run out of food. Very disappointing, never again 😞

The service here is amazing the food comes at a fast pace and the quality is excellent . The staff are so welcoming and kind by continuously checking up on us throughout our visit and they genuinely take pride in what they do. The biryani succeeds expectations and is good for price. This time we tried chicken shish ,chicken biryani , desi chai . Also had halwa and kheer . It is the best in romford . Would recommend people going here... Always a wonderful experience . We had breakfast here today, 5th July 2024. The restaurant was just opening but the Cheff was too kind that she allowed us sit in the cafe. We ordered Paratha anda chaye, puri halwa, nihari on her recommendation. Whattay beautiful food it was. Good time in London while eating is cafe asia. 10/10

This is undoubtedly one of London's best and most understated authentic Pakistani restaurants. I sometimes travel from Maida Vale to eat here, where the food quality is second to none; the prices and staff are also very charming. Large tables outside allow us to eat, smoke, and watch the day pass. It’s a simple pleasure packed with quality and affordability. Don’t believe me; try it just once. My Indian colleagues from Southall drive to Romford to eat here despite the copious restaurants on their doorstep.

Nobody should go to Safe Asia restaurant. It serves stale biryani and put 3 pounds of biryani on the board and when you eat it, it costs 7 pounds.

Being an asian myself, know asian food is oily, , but got 2 boxes of oil and meat slime after paying 30 pounds, this place is an embarrassment to asian food. Absolute garbage food, id say sack the chef , but im sure there isnt one to begin with. Stay away

Very Rude response from owner of the business on call when I call them to inform about the quality of the food. He was denying and said "I don't believe you." Avoid this restaurant at any cost especially in case of emergency, you can cook home better then them than ordering from here. Not fresh cooked 🤢 Too much too much OIL Unhealthy 😪 Gravy was awful 🤮 Tasteless food Too much fatty meat 🍖 Waste of money waste of time. I came in and ordered lamb karahi to take away. When I asked them how long will it take to get ready, they said It'll not take long which means (They just warmed it in microwave and gave it to me) I'm uploading the video and screenshot of others reviews to support my feedback because they are denying on their previous reviews and he denied on the call as well. He labeled me liar. As I paid him to label me a liar not for the food. Not recommended.

I have been there multiple times with my family. When they opened, the food was amazing and pruces were good. But later food became bad and prices increased. I stopped going there until recently when i saw and ad for 2 for £1 naan. They have new menu, new prices. I tried different things. All was good. Their aalo paratha reminded me of home and chai was amazing. We liked it so much that when we were leaving UK, on the last day our last meal was their aalo paratha and chai. The lady was kind enough to give free kheer as a farewell gift. Overall amazing experience. I highly recommend this place if you want something desi under budget. Value for money

Can’t understand how someone can feed such low quality food after charging the money. Portions were generous. However biryani didn’t had anything else other than two tiny pieces of chicken/lamb and too much oil.

It is a local restaurant in the area. They always have freshly made food and warm Naans and prathas available. They have variety of delicious deserts available. Samosa are delicious too. Their tea is also amazing. Really friendly staff and always happy to help.

I ordered a tgtg small bag, and they give me some rice and a veggie curry , the curry was oili and super spicy, I had a few spoons and I throw up and I still feel sick 😫

Often visit this place as I work nearby. Staff is really nice. A lot of options to eat. I would recommend Sada/Plain paratha with any option like Curry or Egg. Also try their breakfast Halwa Puri.

Pathetic food, pathetic taste and biryani is really pathetic.

The food here is more for the Asain palette. Most English people are used to Indian food in restaurants, which has been adapted to our palette. If you like traditional indian food then this will definitely be for you. I trued small fishes just to try them out. The chicken curry and rice were very nice and would buy these again, the rest was not for me. The vegetarian samosa was mainly filled with potatoe, the vegetarian curry, which was quite dry and needed something else added as in spice or herbs, etc.

Popped in today to grab dinner for the family was greated bye the owner & some very friendly staff I ordered a nan kebab roll & boneless chicken curry & some nan breads & pakoras & they did a special chicken tika for my mrs that she loved!! Thank you!! everything was amazing 10/10 every time... Chef Asia is the best most authentic Pakistani food for miles I drive from brentwood to go there as there's nowhere local to me that cooks to there standard... its worth the visit you won't be disappointed...

I ordered via Just eat & the food was over an hour late. I phoned the restaurant again & again to be be lied too repeatedly and then the manager put the phone down on me while i was talking. When it eventually arrived it was dry, cold and overcooked. Do yourself a favour and spend your money somewhere else, this place i terrible.

They get orders wrong, unfortunate...Haleem was awfull...my wife had stomach ache, unfortunately. I cannot recommend this restaurant. Eat somewere else guys!
