My go-to Korean in South London. Unpretentious decor. Efficient service and yummy spicy food at reasonable prices. My mate had the Army Base Stew! (He's into spicy and he got it.) I had bibimbap - rice with mixed veggies and a fried egg on top. Delicious and filling. We got a free bingsu for desert because we spent over 30. Sorry, bingsu is shaved ice with sweet milk and sweet red beans. Perfect for cooling down. If you find yourself hungry on the Walworth Road, go.

Great chicken!!!! Such great service with good recommendations if you don’t understand the food and drink. This place will charm you!

I'm perplexed by people's negative reviews on here. Honestly, in all my years of travelling around the world, this is ranked as one of the top 13 Korean meals I've had! I do agree they need to work on service. They were not rushed to serve us. In fact the draft beer machine had broken down, so it took 20 minutes to get the first beer. But once that hiccup was rectified everything went smoothly. Our food was prepared in quick time and everything was absolutely delicious! I had reassurance by all the Koreans eating here. Now I go to where natives patronise their own food. It says it all. I especially loved the Kimchi pancake, Prawn Katsu and Beef bulgogi. It's a little gem so small that you'd almost miss it walking by but don't let it's size put you off. Simple furnishings hide a true foodie's delight. There are karaoke rooms upstairs too for those who want to let their hair down in the evenings.

Visited CheeMc, a favorite among Korean restaurants for me. The standout dishes are the fried chicken and Japchae, the portions are generous. The salad sides are the best among Korean restaurants in England for me. It's a place I frequent repeatedly.

The place made us wait 40 minutes for a family takeaway, after which our order was handed to a wrong person. We asked for our food to be delivered, since we were in a rush but the response was - 'You can pick up the food after you're done with whatever you're rushing for. I work in customer service for more than 8 years, but to hear such an absurd think after a restaurant faulty - is just horrid. Terrible place, wouldn't recommend

Absolutely atrocious. The chilli squid was like a chopped car tyre only white. Inedible. Appalling. Delightful service though.

A great little place to eat! The food was delicious. I had the sea food pancake and it was AMAZING! Also recommend the vegetable dumplings! The atmosphere was nice and cosy. Loved the Christmas k-pop!

This place is fab! They do a £30(ish) set menu for two people which includes a generous banquet of food, including yummy gyozas, 2 mini portions of Korean friend chicken and 2 HUGE rice dishes. All of the food is yummy and my particular fave dish was the teriyaki mayonnaise rice dish, which was stunning . Since visiting this restaurant back in December, we’ve visited again on many more occasions! An absolute gem in the heart of Walworth.

Food is amazing. Full of flavour. Got a drink for free. The food is fresh and vegetables (sides) are crunchy.

What used to be a delicious and filling katsu curry for good value has now increased in price by 25% and the chicken portion has halved. I complained about the portion size when I collected my takeaway and explained there was a similar issue the previous time I visited. The guy agreed it was too small and too expensive but refused to add more chicken since this was the new portion sizes decided by the owner. See the picture. Probably less that a quarter of a breast

We ordered one sweet chill and one buttermilk almond chicken wing sets. I've tasted better elsewhere and at a cheaper price too. Some make like the flavours but not for me. Give it a try for yourself as you may like it.

i have dined here a couple of times and I'm a happy camper each time. In my opinion I think they have the best fried chicken and seafood pancake in the area. My only complain would be that, one needs patience while waiting for the server which is understandable as it's always busy. My advice is when get hold of the waitress ask for everything that you could possibly need.

Arrived @ 6.30pm on a Sunday and the place was packed out by 7pm. Food was okay for the prices, KFC were good but the jampong was the best. Had a real solid wok-hei taste and v generous with the seafood. Will be back again!

THE LADY WHO SERVED OUR TABLE WAS SO RUDE AND NOT ATTENTIVE AND DISRESPECTFUL. She always smile with the Western customer but keep sighing when serving us and other Asian customers. Oh come on she is Asian as well but why does she have to act like that? We ordered the drink and asked for ice and she took the cup away. After 10 minutes still no signs of the cup of ice coming back so we asked again and she was kinda annoyed with that, after throwing a dirty look at us, she looked away and told us that: “oh you need to wait for something you ordered” then just walk away.??!?!! We have to go to the kitchen ourselves to ask for it. And did I mention that beside our drinks the water we asked for never came and we had to get it ourselves? We always come for the food as they are tasty but next time definitely will ask for a different waitress or waiter.

Well worth the queue, very tasty and great service. Now a converted Korean fried chicken fanatic. Will be back.
