How expensive. £8.25 for a bacon bap and coffee. Bacon bap, fatty bacon, good amount though but was cold. Coffee was nice but at this price will not come back

Why do you need to put so much pepper in the meat and potato pies We had some a few months ago and found the same but just thought when in crewe town today I’ll give them another try incase it was just a one off sadly it wasn’t once again uneatable for us what a waste of money I realise people have different tastes but won’t buy again “sorry “. Disappointed

Honest review of chatwins on remer street Crewe Went in early one morning had two beef baps and 2 sausage rolls at a cost of nearly £15 Sausage rolls were 100% warmed up from the day before hard and went in the bin Baps beef was tasteless and rock hard and lady I think must of been paying for the beef as she placed on the roll and so sparingly was going to leave it then but let her carry on then I asked if could have mushrooms on it and was told yes for a extra £1!!!! But I can have stuffing for free….. who has beef and stuffing??? All in all not a nice food shop now and will not return use to use west street shop 2/3. Times a week never any problems but this one is wrong how they sending day before food out everyone using it at the moment but I bet half of the customers do not return

We went to Ruthin this afternoon and bought some lunch from chatwin and I had turkey bap and it was so tastless, meat so dry the stuffing dry and burnt. I Only had two tiny pieces of meat in my bap but I couldn't eat all. My husband had a cup coffee and though it just came out of machine it was stone cold. So disappointed with your new products. I think I just stick with your old products.

Having moved back to Crewe i was so pleased to see that the Cheshire bakery chain Chatwins still have one shop left open in a town centre rapidly becoming a ghost town of boarded up shop front With stiff competition from larger and cheaper national chains this oasis of old fashion quality stands head and shoulders above what's on offer from an uncut loaf to a truly silky smooth cream donut I just hope the people of this town realise how lucky they are to still have this place open because it's the kind of place once they're gone it'll be to late and forever missed for that mid day treat of real taste and luxury Sure greggs , Asda and the pound place down the road are cheaper but they don't taste half as good So please all you Crewetons out there support this place while you can

I go in nearly every morning, and it's well worth the trip up the staircase! The staff are always helpful, the menu's good, and it's an excellent place to relax, read the paper (or book, in my case), and generally let the world go by. It's equally good if two of you, or several friends, go in. Recommended!

The coffee shop upstairs looks knackered and needs work. It looks like it hadn’t been decorated since the 1980s.The food is ok, although I suspect that if you order anything hot it’s heated in a microwave which would e plain why the toasted sandwiches are soggy and floppy.Cakes, biscuits and such are nice. Their Sandbach coffee shop is better and had a better selection.Staff again are hit and miss. Some are fantastic, others the complete opposite.

He estado de compras en chatwins durante años y tiene una alta reputación que merece. Quizás un poco más caro pero vale la pena. No estoy diciendo otras panaderías no son buenas. . .

Firstly the food is expensive, cakes start from a pound, and they have down-sized the portion of cakes, each one is tiny, the average cake is about £2 EACH..The pies are the same small sized, meat and potatoe pie is the same size as a doughnutFor £1.70 but they are seasoned well and are ok, the chatwins around the corner next to the market facing crewe library sold me a MP pie, the staff woman who served me told me it has just come out of the oven and was to hot to eat immediatley, after leaving the shop i started to est it, it was awlful, not very hot, and not cooked properly the pastry on sides and bottom wss soft and mushy and moist, . They refused to do anything about it.. now as as person who buys a pie when in town, afraid i will not be buying anymore.Shame really ..

Long live Chatwins!

I popped into Chatwins today for a quick light lunch, the toastie I had was perfect, with a lovely cuppa and followed by a bun. Chatwins are definitely the best bakers in Cheshire, all their produce is excellent, their cakes and pies are perfect, so the café is well worth a visit.

Chatwins used to be THE place in town for a cup of tea and a cake. The food (pies, cakes and the like) are still fab, the staff are very friendly but the interior decor is badly in need of an update. Seat covers are torn in places and it just looks tired and in need of an overhaul.

The bread, pies and cakes are made locally by the firm. There is always a good choice. The only draw back is if you go at a busy time the self service ordering queue can be quite long. However the hot food is prepared to order and brought to your table. I often use it when I'm in town doing my shopping.

Charles is amazing, such a gent. Gave great advice to us as we had no clue where to start with our planters. Also, helped take our purchases to the car. I can’t give enough praise for this place.

We attended the festival of transport in Audlem and called in for breakfast at the Bridge Inn. The food was excellent, big portions and very good value with coffee or tea refills. The staff were very attentive and friendly and we will definitely go back again when we are in the area.

Parked in what we thought was the free pub car park, received a parking fine for £100 one week later. We arrived when it was pitch black and due to COVID restrictions couldn't leave our table once we were seated. Hence, we didn't have a clue we had to pay to park. The staff didn't mention it to us at any point. Strange considering how many terrible reviews they're getting for the exact same reason? Why oh why.

Stayed here overnight in our motorhome. The place was very clean and tidy. The staff were helpful. Where we parked up the motorhome was very quiet

Burnt poppadoms, really bad service and the chilli garlic chicken and the jalfrazi were not of a good standard, we love curry but this place is to be avoided
