Rompiendo desayuno, gran personal y servicio brillante.

A tricky little building to use as a cafe but the food is really tasty and the staff clearly care passionately about what they do. I particularly liked my coronation chic ken wrap that had something in it that made it stand above the rest (maybe sesame). Part of the difficulty with a building in the city centre by a main road is that the decor needs more cleaning and takes more effort than in some other properties/areas. Friendly advice (from someone who was heavily involved in the food industry for 22yrs): Cleaning the food prep areas and tables/chairs/floors on a daily basis is one thing. Cleaning filthy paintwork and other non-good contact areas (for example inside the kitchen window frame) is needed every few 6 months as a minimum. By doing a deep clean once in a while, negative reports like the previous one would almost certainly be avoided and people waiting outside for their food areas wouldn’t look at it thinking “yuk” to themselves.

I went in for a jacket potato and a lady before me ordered a plain jacket without any filling to take away (exactly what I was going to order) and she was charged £2. When it came to my turn, I got charged £4.40 for exactly the same thing!!!!! I was so shocked, but unfortunately I didn’t say anything. I did say ‘oh, for just a plain jacket’ and the lady behind the counter replied ‘yeah, that’s how much jackets are!’. I paid it and walked away absolutely shocked. WHAT A RIP OFF! I eat there nearly every lunch with my mate, but we will be DEFINITELY going elsewhere. I told all of my friends at work and they were so gobsmacked. I know it’s only an extra £2.40 but you CANT pick and choose the prices that you give to your customers. You’ve just lost a lot of business.

Located almost opposite St Mary Redcliffe church. Quaint tea room who open for breakfast; they do an excellent bacon sandwich with a choice of breads. The granary was great! Could be a little warmer on what was a cold day. Reasonably priced and friendly service. Also do takeaway.

We had a much needed energy boost before tackling a 6 hour garden project and absolutely loved the atmosphere and food at Chatterton's. Next time I will have to try the healthy option! Easy to find when walking from Bristol Temple Meads- just takes 5 minutes- ask for Mary Redcliffe and you will see Chattertons nearby with its distinctive Georgian facade. Apparently music gigs are planned for evenings so will definitely return!

This little cafe is sited in a Georgian house with an enclosed sunny courtyard near to Temple Meads station. I enjoyed a crisp fresh salad with fellafel, homemade coleslaw, hummus, it was difficult to choose from varied and tempting menu. Sipping espresso in the lovely inner city sanctuary, listening to the church bells fromSt Mary Redcliffe church made for a peaceful. Staff are very friendly and efficient, I just wished I'd had longer to sit and enjoy.

I went for a bike ride in Bristol today along the river heading out towards Avonmouth in the glorious sunshine, after half an hour I was in need of a refreshing cup of tea, and decided to try this cafe for a quick cup of the good stuff and a slice of cake, and I must say what a pleasant little place it is, light and airy with a homely vibe, the food was delicious (I only popped in for a cuppa but couldn't resist the smell and ended up buying an early lunch) there was a great selection of light bites and more substantial meals on offer, the staff where very friendly and provided quick service, To sum it up it's a cosy cafe that has a lot to offer, great experience would definitely recommend and will be returning next time I'm in the area!

I really like this cafe however I think £1.60 for 2 pieces of buttered toast is a bit steep (also like my toast cut in half not just left whole). That's just my opinion.

We usually have fruit teas and felt we would expand our experience with bubbleology. Alisa gave the most wonderful advice and breakdown of all the drinks we had interest in. Such a lovely girl who gave the customers all the time they needed. It was wonderful to be greeted with such a warm happy smile and clearly cared about making someone else’s day better. Thank you Aliza (sorry if I’ve messed up the spelling)

After two years peeing off most of the neighbourhood with noise and litter and building a live music venue, without planning permission next door to residential gardens, these squatters are finally getting the boot. Shame that the charity that own the building are now heavily out of pocket.
