Chaska Grill Da in South Tyneside

First time trying tonight ordered around half hour ago and came straight away , food tastes absolutely unreal! Abit on the spicy side and I’m a spicy food girl but all in all tastes unbelievable!

Sorry to say but I have asked for garlic sauce but they seem to charge we use to come all the time regular I think management has changed food was absolutely luke warm not spicy enough indian women wasn’t very pleasant she didn’t seem to be very helpful rude never come back

I appreciate the people there, placed an order for 5:50 but today Ramadan fasts break at 7:40 so the boss rang me and confirmed if I’m sure I wanted it for that time, much appreciated!

Waited 2 hours for delivery, rang up to cancel the order. Used to be an avid customer, service was always spot on but recently it's gone down hill, I've had a few negative experiences recently. Sad to say but I shall not be using this place anymore.

Service is ridiculously slow....you will have to wait till next day. Waited for 35 min for 1 wrap...kept saying 5 min for 30 min. After all the wait they got the order wrong lmao.

Didn't give me chips that I paid for, and wouldn't drop them off. Last time I will use

I had an incredibly unpleasant experience that left me feeling highly dissatisfied and disgusted. On my first visit, I discovered a significant hair in my Parmesan dish. Although the staff in the shop offered me a replacement, the incident had already tarnished my overall impression. In response to your reply, the order was placed on Tuesday 14th by phone. I came in to collect the food at around 8:30 pm.

Not frequent order , but when we have it has been satisfactory. Will use again for sure

Really good quality chicken tikka and donner kebab. Had the special naanbab with chicken addition and although i wasn't a fan of the sauce (I asked for milld and it tasted a bit like ketchup/ tomato sauce). The grilled food was impeccable! lovely fresh, hot and high quality. I asked for chilli sauce which was perfect , well balanced and right amount of flavour that made up for the rather bland special sauce. Place lives up to its standard !

Ordered in the past and food was nice and no problem. However last night spent £37 to wait over an hour and a half getting fobbed off by staff it was on its way. Finally arrived and all food freezing cold. Pizzas had been thrown about so in corner of box in a pile. Chicken in kebabs drier than a desert and chips so cold they'd gone mushy. Ended up having toast and wasting my money. Never again.!!!

Ordered a couple of times in the past and all been good. However last night we ordered £37 worth of food and will never be ordering again.!! Delivery took over an hour and a half and when rang to enquire twice where food was only told " its out for delivery". Delivery guy must have gone to Amble before us in Jarrow. All food freezing cold.!! All chips were inedible as cooled and gone mushy. Pizzas could have been reheated but looked like been used as a shot put in a throwing competition. Half stuck to box and rest mushed in a corner. And as for the chicken kebabs...freezing chicken which was drier than the Sahara. Even my dog turned his nose up at the chicken and he eats his own vomit if I don't get to it first to clean up.! I would of complained directly but after the attitude of the woman when I rang to see where food was I'll not bother as don't need that negative energy in my life.! So £37 down and lesson learnt..Avoid at all costs...or you'll end up with toast as we did instead of a nice meal.!!

Edit: This was a 5 star review.. but since management change (I'm guessing) a complete lack of care and customer service and about 20 wrong orders, and burnt food deliveries, I'm ready to completely give up on Chaska like. I forgive several times but now I get sent this?! Absolute P*** TAKE!

Update - under new management ordered from here, the naan was undercooked and portion sizes have gone much smaller. Only good for pizza, everything else is hit & miss the donner is so dry - the chicken wings are not the same as they used to be very small and not enough sauce on it - chips were soggy & was the smallest portion size I’ve ever seen!

I can't believe its cost me £27+ for this. I love the place but its getting too expensive

Delivery is rubbish....got a text20 mins ago and still not got any food.....never order from here again

Ordered margherita pizza and chips. Chips were undercooked and the cheese fell off the pizza when I tried to pick up a slice. Ended up putting most of it in the bin. This was my third time ordering from here and the food has been worse each time. Shame as my first order was delicious. Won't be back for a fourth.

Has been a really nice takeaway hence the 4 stars but I was left disappointed tonight after ordering a tikka pizza which I've ordered several times from here and it has always been chunks of chicken tikka tonight I had little shreds of tikka spread out which would probably amount to about 1 chunk off tikka. Won't be going back as you can go up the street to MasterChef and get proper chunks off tikka for an extra £1. Shame I'd have preferred chaska putting their prices up rather than cutting costs like this.

Waited 1 and half hours for 2 chicken kebabs, when they arrived they were burnt so bad it was unbeatable, was charcole black would not recommend, I have been going here for a while but has went right down hill, poor

Your food is lovely . But I have one question .how cans yous charge 2.99 for cheesecake which is from Iceland ? The slices you serve are very small and you can get 3 full cheesecakes from Iceland for £5 . Daylight robbery .love the food but won't be buying no more cakes off yous .that's a bit below the belt . ….. but well worth the wait. Mixed kebab, chips and chilli sauce, delivered on time and plentiful for 2, plus leftovers. Good choice

Got a meal deal tonight and the wrap is the best donner wrap I’ve had really nice, pizza very nice too, deffo be back soon!

We bought a mixed chicken and kebab meat on a naan for tonight and a hot shot Parmesan for tomorrow night after being out at a party. The only slight problems were 2 garlic dips instead of one and a chilli one, and salad when we’d not asked for one. Can’t be churlish though as the mixed chicken and kebab was great, loads of chips, excellent, early delivery and hot to serve.

First time we ordered we got the Zakbab pizza, a chicken kebab & donner kebab with chips salad chili and garlic 10/10 couldn’t recommend enough so we have ordered another two times since and again 10/10 our new favorite takeaway and fairly cheap for portion sizes too, also delivery driver is very nice

Ordered a chicken kebab tonight and was really looking forward to it as the other food we’ve had from here has been amazing. The chicken was so bland like it was grilled with no seasoning was just plain chicken slightly dry. Will order again but not the kebab delivery time was spot on and driver was very friendly

Just bought a pizza with chips. Very tasty indeed . Highly recommend this place.

Tried this establishment for the first time. The place is ultra clean, the salad on display in the chiller cabinet is mega fresh, the staff super friendly. I ordered a Zakbab, which is doner meat in a spicy sauce served on a nan bread. It comes with either chips or a side salad, I had chips. I also ordered a Greek salad. I can get a bit militant about this, since I’ve seen some woefully poor so called Greek salads in the past. No problems here, a proper Greek salad, with all the correct ingredients. Had to wait around 10 minutes as the meal was cooked to order. There is a seating area, with tables so I guess you can eat in. The meal came to just under £14, and was perfect in every respect. There was so much it’ll do me for tomorrows tea as well! Recommended.

I ordered from here a chicken kebab and a margarita pizza, the food was rotten, the chicken was all dry I was given a tiny bit of salad and the pizza was very dry too, a total waste of £15, this place used to be my absolute favourite to order from now however I will never order again !

for us from this takeaway-restar aunt, and the verdict was ‘lovely’. It was delivered on time, still hot and ready to eat. We ordered half and half as me an husband couldn’t agree (as normal) on just one type. The dough was so light and the toppings plentiful. A really nice pizza.

By far the best takeaway in Shields! 😍 ALWAYS AMAZING!!! It’s better than your average takeaway because genuine good quality products are used… The staff put a lot of effort into the shop/food. Can sometimes take a while for delivery, but it’s SO worth it makes up for it.. if you can I prefer to collect, usually quicker and nice to see the staff now and again. Keep up the good work 👏🏼👏🏼

Tried just about everything on the menu at this point, would not recommend burgers or wings but zakbabs, pizzas, chipizza, wraps and kebabs - cannot go wrong with them. My usual takeaway choice been happy with them for many years now. Happy hour deal from 5-7pm is an absolute steal. My tips are: to not order too close to closing time when possible as they may not have much food left to give you, try ordering a pizza 'extra spicy' as a request, totally levels up the pizza and finally use the discount code: 'chaska10' when ordering online to get pretty much free delivery or a discount on collection orders.

First time tried here, pizza is amazing, nice and clean and staff is extremely friendly. Priced well for quality food. Definitely will be returning ! Wayne

Like the place but I've stopped phoning cos their phone line is rubbish with lots of music and background noise .Sick to death of repeating my order over and over again . . .get yourself a proper landline

First time trying this place ordered online tbh we waited a good long time for delivery for unknown reasons but these things happen from time to time I guess anyway food arrived first bite of pizza n you can tell that I was going to enjoy thoroughly wife ordered chicken kebab she was impressed with that too so defo order again prob collect next time though im a very fussy eater too tbh

Pizza was wet like it wasn't cooked properly, parmesan was rock hard and not really edible. Would not recommend.

Food is always spot on from Chaska. It was recommended to me a while back and now I'm doing the same. All fresh cooked food and always busy, so may have to wait an extra couple of minute, but it's well worth it.

First time using this takeaway and will be back, great service and staff. Food was lovely, the best pizza we have had in ages. Must be the best around for sure. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

It had been a while since we’d had a kebab of any form so as I like the chicken more and husband likes the donner meat more a zakbab was the consensus. Using online we decided on the Chaska Grill Da. With an especially lovely light naan, spicy sauce and peppers the meats were lovely. A garlic and chilli dip were added free. Only downside was, the meal needed heating up even though it was bang on time and for my husband the chips were not his type. (You could have opted for salad as opposed to chips)

Definitely worth a mention this grill spot on. Delicious food from here never had a bad meal. Great fast friendly service at pretty good price point. The food from the grill is soooo tasty with interesting flavour combinations. Pizzas and the garlic bread always go down well to in our house yum. Only complaint is it’s too good so we are putting weight on ahh well that’s life I suppose.

Food and quality is great only the problemi have feel that when i ordered for delivery either there some missing iteam or wrong iteam and they they have done with me coupleof Times.that not fair.

What a rubbish pizza & the fries were so old that you can feel it must be cooked at least 3 hours ago. I will never go again this place.

Online ordering and registration is dodgy af. Tried 3 times and kept coming up with error. Alaways tries to get you to pay by paypal despite entering card details, date of birth etc.... hang on date of birth? Why? Dont bother. Thanks for wasting my time.

Their pizzas are one of the best in shields specially the marchee which is extra hot. The peri peri chicken is decent and zakbabs are lovely. Delivery can be but slow but their customer service is the reason for the 5 star. They cater for your demands if you want something extra hot they will. Anytime something has been missed off menu (rare) or if the food is not the standard they have always rectified.

Good food at great prices and plenty of variety.

Not enough tomato sauce on the base, almost nothing to be honest, too much cheese, couldn't taste any of the garlic. Both pizzas got left. On the plus side the chippizza was surprisingly nice and recommended.

I have repeatedly driven from Newcastle to get a donner kebab and my gf gets a tikka chicken kebab. Always impressed at the portion size, the price and particularly the quality of the meal. The staff are lovely and make special efforts for our salads and naans every time. The counter, tables and kitchen all seem extremely clean. Couldn’t recommend this place more. Best kebab I can find in the north!

The Chippiza is highly recommended. I mean just look at it! Great selection there's always something new to try. Service was good also.
