You know the feelings when you're really tired, you sit at relaxing place and enjoy the delicious food. Giovanni cage just made my day. Very nice relaxing place and atmosphere. Friendly staff and great service. Play area for the kids so parents can enjoy their meal. Love the open wooden pizza. Really Italian taste.. Surely will be back when in Cambridge.

We went and the pizza was perfect! The fries came separately but they were perfect with the already perfect Dr Johnny pizza +5 stars for food Service was good, it was busy when we went so it seemed like it was ages when we were waiting however I still say it was very good for only having 2 waiters. +4 stars for service ATMOSPHERE WAS PERFECT, there is no way you can say it was horrible. One of the chefs we know was very welcoming as always and there is no way you can put the service lower than 5 stars. +5 stars thanks to the PERFECT team working here.

This is one of my favourite cafes, the trains are super fun! I absolutely love having them inside the tables. I like their drinks and pastries and the staff are pretty chill and helpful. Really lovely set up too

Unexpected find, restaurant with very happy staff. They show you to a table, with menu, choices made, need to go to the till. Place your order and pay. Can sit inside or few tables and chairs outside. Each pizza, calzone is handmade, pizza oven there also. My pizza was very tasty. Next time I will ask for buffalo mozarella, I treated myself to tirimaso, wow all amazing. Cant wait to go back. Highly recommended, located in burleigh street, cambridge x

I feel like I need to come back and try the pizzas, as they looked amazing. Sandwich was OK, but didn't have a lot of flavour. Iced coffee was good, but more bitter than my preference. Staff were friendly and helpful.

A magical place with the most delicious pizza. I must say i’ve been trying out different pizza places in the uk and this is by far the best i’ve tried. Fantastic service, it was quick and the waitresses were lovely. If you want a taste of italy, definitely visit this pizzeria!! Thank you for this lovely meal 😋😋

I am not going to gatekeep this gem in Cambridge's Crown! Wow! The Lasagne was THE best of my life. Freshly made, it just melted in my mouth, and into my heart! You have to try it, because never have I been so touched by food, that it made me a little emotional. Even the green salad, had a little magic to it! Anyway, don't take my word, go try Giovanni's. You won't regret it!

Lived in Rome for a couple of years so have had my fair share of authentic Italian pizza but this was one of the best I've ever had. Fantastic pizza, very friendly and efficient service and a great vibe with unique decor. Spoke to the chef and owner who were really nice, friendly people. Will definitely be returning.

Nipped in for a takeaway coconut milk latte. Was so thirsty needed a drink asap they made it not too hot just like I asked so I could drink straight away. Nice size large takeaway cup. Perfect size, temp, flavour. Great customer service. Perfect after a shopping spree pick me up. Great they have so many milk alternatives. Great atmosphere. Beautiful lay out and decor.

Friendly staff and I really liked the extra touch of receiving a glass of water with my cappuccino without having to ask.

They have a fantastic, varied pizza menu but be forewarned… the pizzas are massive (that’s a good thing)! One pizza is big enough for 2 to share. We brought back leftovers (just ask for a box) and enjoyed pizza night at home. Proper espresso and cappuccino. Friendly, welcoming service.

We've had waffles for breakfasts and also salads at lunchtime. All excellent!

Customer service is poor and one of the staff was completely rude to me. Upon asking about my order that I had been told it would take 20m, the pizza maker told me he was not a clock. Food is average! I much prefer AROMI Cafe and Pizza Pilgrims. Don’t waste your time here.

I really wanted to love this place. After reading a few sketchy reviews I was hoping the issues would be fixed after several months of new ownership. Great pizza and lovely atmosphere but let let down by some minor issues. Iced Latte was warm, Chips arrive late and overcooked. Staff insisted on opening the front doors despite customers closing it as they were cold. Come on team you can do better.

Fantastic pizza, fries and coffee was had here and the atmosphere is relaxing, would thoroughly recommend to anyone who loves pizza and coffee. There are other desserts like waffles that also looked good, will try next time.

I love Giovanni's Caffè and Pizzeria very much. The place is beautiful, very well organised, worm and super clean. The staff and the owner are extremely kind and they all make me feel at home when I'm there for the experience. The quality of the food is excellent and pizza is for me the best in town and it's hard to find one as good in Italy. Salads, dessert and drinks top quality. Illy coffee for the best espresso. I would strongly recommend it!

Quite expensive for a lunch, the iced latte was okay, quite small. The pizza was tasty but was a little raw in the middle and the crust didn’t puff up properly like a real Neapolitan pizza. But it was made quickly which I will give.

Great place for a authentic Italian pizza, cakes and not least ☕️. Stud is really helpful and nice with all the customers. Always a pleasure to come here.

Such a great find! Possibly the best pizzas I've had in Cambridge, and they're massive, so great value! (Though maybe those of small appetite might want to share aha). Service was brilliant, the restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the complimentary limoncello at the end was delicious and greatly appreciated! Will be back :)

Really loved the train set in the centre of the cafe and I can imagine children would be fascinated by it too. The pizza was quite respectable, however the service really could be improved especially as the restaurant was ‘at capacity’ rather than ‘busy’ when we visited last.

absolutely loved my visit to charlie’s coffee company!! had two pizzas which were possibly the best pizzas i’ve ever had! there was such a beautiful interior with a huge pizza oven and cute cable car,, it was such a bubbly atmosphere which made our visit so enjoyable. I will definitely be going back here regularly in the future and would 100% recommend to anyone looking for good restaurants in cambridge!! 😀😀

The food is okay, overpriced for what you get, my son loved the tables. But the tables were smell very bad, i know the glass might be tricky to clean, but i am sure they could do better. The pizza maker was very rude, there were only two people in the restaurant and i was sitting next to the oven, i only asked very nicely for plates that were literally next to the chef, he rudely told me ( ask the other guy, don't you see me making food) Obviously there is no service in the place, you need to get your menu and go to the till to order your food. The menus looked very Covid friendly btw Disappointed by the service and hygiene but the food was good

Awesome place.. there is a lot to see, very atmospheric.. At time a bit too busy. Maybe because is good? 😂 The pizza/calzone are very good and all the products are consistently delivered. The staff is attentive and friendly. Always happy to help. Family and kids friendly. I can promise you will have a good experience. Almost forgot, they do delivery! I saw the just eat or similar guy taking an order. It may seem expensive, but you get what you pay for..

Good for the children, with a lot of trains, and nice staff, but I found it quite expensive, I paid 8 pounds for a coffee and a slice of cake, they were not that special

Very cozy place. We went there for dinner and we had pizzas. All of them were really good and tasty. The couple of Italian guys were very friendly and professional with us. Highly recommend.

If I could give a negative review, I would. My wife and I thought we had found a hidden gem of Cambridge and were hugely mistaken. While taking a quick video of the tables and treats on display to share with her friends, one of the employee started to angrily shout - ' my face is in the video'. Attempts to reassure said employee didn't help - my wife was left in tears. Worst experience in Cambridge.

Order delivery. Pizza is allright but there's better alternatives in Cambridge (maybe having them in the cafe inproves the experience?)

Me & my partner really did not enjoy the pizza here. Despite it being wood fired and few recommendations to say it was really good; our pizza was undercooked and lacked enough topping. I just thought false publicity isn't fair.

As a cafe it's Fine. Nice decor and good music, but I don't think I've ever seen them with enough staff. The staff that are there are lovely but there's not enough of them to take orders and make drinks simultaneously so orders take a while. Very possible that it's better in the evening when people come for dinner

Amazing little find! A lovely pizzeria/coffee house. Such friendly staff, spotlessly clean, and beautifully presented coffee, the cake was AMAZING! I would thoroughly recommend this place. Oh and for those who want to keep their children and trainspotting friends amused, the tables have running model railways inside !

The restaurant had really interesting and quirky interior with model train under the table that you can play with and a carriage coach as a seat. Kids would love the model train seats. Pizzas are made to order so very fresh and it is entertaining to watch your pizza being made while you wait. The restaurant closes early so check the opening time if you are dining late in the evening.

Great coffee and service. They have these novelty tables which are encased railway set.

Very intense, tasty flat white served with a small glass of water (classy\traditional!). A cute, tiny ice-cream cone on the side as a special treat! Pavement seating ideal on a warm evening.

WOW, their Caprese is to die for, such fresh mozzarella 😍

Very disappointed with the post lock down Charlie's, they appear to have a new chef and new ingredients and a high price tag! Cheap mozzarella, pizza came out with a blanc base without the menu telling us so. I don't know what has changed but 2019 Charlies wipes the floor with 2021 Charlie's!!

I visited this restaurant before lockdown on several occasions- coffee and cakes only- haven't tried the savory dishes yet. Today I was invited by the manager as had a mishap in front of the restaurant. That was very kind - in addition I was offered free coffee and cake despite my attempt to pay. I always liked the food and atmosphere, now I am impressed with the people!

Very nice interior and train tables loved the illy coffee and mini ice-cream it came with and they serve a great local coffee brew called Crude my wife had which was lovely. Pizza authentic and tasted like true Italian pizza I had when working in Italy.

The staff are incredibly friendly and the pizza is excellent. They use high quality ingredients and a wood-fire oven. I've tried the Parma ham and Dr Johnny, and loved them both. I usually get takeaway but the restaurant inside is really nice too.

Great place to have Pizza. Bring you kids al let them play with all the furniture that Charlie gives available for everyone in the garden corner. Sometimes the place become to messy and the waiting time could be ways too long. Maybe with a bit of better organisation and a well trained staff, this place could really make the difference in Cambridge.

Italiano auténtico. Puedes ver como preparan la comida que está exquisita. Pedimos mitades de pizza y nos dejaron sin problema, las quisimos un poco más en el horno y no nos dieron pega alguna. El cocinero es un profesional, los camareros un poco distraídos y eso que no había gente. Volveré por la calidad de la comida.

Anchovy and olive pizza looked great, gluten free vegetarian was a bit sad looking but the staff were lovely and remade it for me with more cheese.

Been sat for almost an hour, chef hadn't even started preparing our food. People who had ordered after us have got their food, we had to remind them we'd ordered.

I love this place, it has such interesting decorations and I spot something new each visit. There is a nice area for children and families to sit out of the way and many cute tables to sit at. The food here is amazing and the drink options are fantastic. I like to try a different milkshake whenever I visit and they never disappoint!

I had a TERRIBLE pizza at Charlie’s last night! Small, very low on veg (it was a veggie pizza), and really expensive. Really, one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. I can’t understand how anyone would think it is okay to serve such a pizza. And the service was poor, offhand, surly. And the tables were all dirty. I will not be going to this place again, and I would advise you to give it a wide berth!

We went there at about 7pm on Sunday and they had run out of most cakes/desserts.. The cafe didn't have enough staff to keep the tables clean. Their coffee was alright and I thought for the price we could have got a bit more.. the atmosphere is great though..

Great. We had breakfast and it was lovely. We all had the big breakfast sandwich. It was a fab ciabatta pocket with egg, bacon sausage and mozzarella, it was truly amazing and we all enjoyed it. The coffees were also really good, especially impressed by the accompanying water (and especially the mini ice cream cone with the cappuccino). We will be back. Thank you.
