The food is plentiful, the staff are wonderful and the wine is downable. To top it all off, after a few Nelson Mandelas, you can stumble just across the road and fall into or onto a taxi. 15/10.

We attended on 28th Sept, the door was quickly answered as we had a double pushchair. I asked if we could sit somewhere quiet as I am breastfeeding and we was seated in an area where nobody else was. Rachel & the manager Luigi were our servers and they was both attentive throughout and respectful when coming over incase I was feeding. It was a super busy day but the food was great, but the service was even better!! Both interacted with my 15 month old and it made all the difference. Both servers made the whole experience incredible so a huge thank you!

We enjoyed a lovely family dinner at the Harvester. They were able to accommodate 11 of us easily and Christina was very friendly, even helping us with a family photo at the end!

We waited 50 minutes for the food to arrive, which was extremely overcooked they seemed more interested in serving alcohol while we waited. Not worth the money .. the waiter was nice though

The food was poor lukewarm and tasteless.They were short staffed and the manager was having to do all jobs.The salad bar was not replenished.No ice cream as machine broke.It was a dreadful experience .

I would not recommend this place if it was the last place on earth! We waited 20mins for our order to be taken then 15 minutes later for the salad bowls. When we got to the salad everything was empty Our meal arrived it was cold, burnt and hard we were freezing because of the air con so ordered some tea. 20 minutes later we got a cold pot of tea. There was fruit flies everywhere. The staff did not care less, altogether an experience no one should repeat! Then to add salt in my very bitter wound, I got a bog standard response to my scathing complaint.😡😡😡

James was so lovely and unconditionally accomodating despite my kids being pretty crazy! With the 25% off QR code from Octopus, 2 kids meals and an adult main, drinks too. £12 each is pretty good for dinner with a view of the Pier. Family favourite treat for us! Just wish they didn't bung on 20% Vat then I could tip! Still £36 but really James earned that £6 not Harvester big buckaroo's 😉👌🏻

We went for some dinner at this restaurant on the 22nd of September at around 6pm, the staff were so lovely but could tell they were worked to the bone, with the added stress of a table walking out without paying due to them not being able to get the dish they wanted. The food was lovely I would recommend the bbq king burger and couldn’t fault the service at all we had a lovely girl serving us whose name I cannot remember but she was amazing at her job and deserves a lot of praise.

This place has gone down hill tremendously. Staff rude, inattentive and lack customer service skills. Don’t want to be there at all. Food was disgusting and poor quality. Baked beans were old and cracked. Tables dirty. Overpriced. Never again.

The Scottish lady server was amazing. Your kitchen is a shambles. Main course, kids dessert and a drink each took two and half hours. Two kids meals got forgotten. My mate had the half rotisserie chicken, it should have been called the half budgie as it was ridiculously small. My other mate had a salad with chicken and got about three bits of chicken and a bowl full of peppers. Kids burgers were like cardboard.

Food took ages and was dry, not even offered salad bar

Food was good fare. Nothing special, but we'll cooked. Salad bar was a little dull, not as many choices as Britain's. Service was very good, however, very quiet. Again the atmosphere was quiet for a wet, drizzly Monday evening. So, in all, good value for money. Parking would be a problem when it is busy. There are several disabled places on Marine Parade.

Hot drinks were lukewarm, the only thing I can say about the food is, it was edible, nothing to write home about. The staff were friendly but were short in numbers, when the food arrived we had to let them know they had forgotten some items.

We came in and waited over 15 minutes to be seated, we were seated and told that someone would be over in a few minutes , once seated 30 minutes went by and wasn't a waitress in sight, decided to use the toilet while we waited and it was so disgusting I would not even let my child walk on the floor in there. Has left me wondering what type of dirty disgusting hole I've just been in! We came back from the toilet, grabbed our stuff and left. I'm not usually picky about where I eat nor do I like to leave a bad review but I was absolutely not eating in there and hopefully you take this review as a sign and give wide birth. 2022

Quite a big Harvester visitor. But this one disappointed. Salad bar half-stocked and unappealing. Must have been 40 mins to bring food. Toilets not great. Staff okay though

Popped in for a late lunch which arrived fast and tasted lovely, as was the service from Jess. All questions I had were answered without any hassle which polished off an amazing experience here.

Myself and 4 friends were camping nearby in Brighton and had been having trouble finding a place to accommodate the 5 of us. When I called the Maderia, the gentleman (who I am so sorry I did not ask for his name) was very accommodating to our group and helped squeeze us in last minute. He explained that there was a problem with the booking system but assured us he would have a table waiting for us. When we arrived, we were lucky enough that our table had been kept as we got lost on our way to the building. Our waiter was very positive and a pleasure to talk to, he was very attentive to our table and provided a speedy delivery. He made our night with his energy, 5/5 stars to him. We loved him, he mentioned he’s having his 50th soon, Happy Birthday to him <3 Food was great, unlimited salad bar is always perfect. One of our diners was a ‘Harvester Hater’ and has now since changed their mind and loved their experience. My partner must of had at least 4 bowls from the salad bar. Our experience as a whole was amazing. We all loved our meals and enjoyed our time out. The service made our experience in Brighton much better.

Had amazing experience at this harvester today. Me and my boyfriend came to visit Brighton for the day and stopped in this haverster for lunch. Our service from Jess was incredible! She did everything she could to make our visit amazing and definitely made our day. Would recommend and visit again.

Unfortunately this place has turned into a decrepit, rundown venue over the last few years. Broken tables lay in ruin at on end of the outdoor space. The tables that are in use are filthy and in need of repair.

Booked for two days lost my booking for the 2nd day twice … luckily I saw the guy who rebooked it the second time and he confirmed it .. and I actually watched him book it so I know he did it .. service by staff was very good .. not enough on the bar to take drink orders needed at least 2 on the bar

Terrible service... filthy bar.... filthy toilets.... total mess outside with broken tables everywhere. Salad bar a disgrace, needs topping up ... how is this place still open! If it could be less than 1 star that's what it would get

Not a very nice experience at all. Went in without a booking, asked for a table for 2. Were told they couldn’t seat any 2’s because they had no tables available. The lady gave us some menus and said we could sit outside and order from the bar, then eat outside, which we agreed to do. As I was leaving with the menus, a group of 3 behind us who hadn’t booked were seated immediately. So clearly they did have tables but didn’t want to seat us on a table meant for more than 2. The outside tables were filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned all day (see picture). When we went back in to tell them we wouldn’t be eating at the outside tables the lady said “I can get them cleaned if that’s the problem”. If you’re seating people outside, they should have been clean in the first place. After realising I could book a table for 2 on their website, I did so and asked if that made any difference and if we could be seated inside. The lady then told us that the table we booked was in a section that wasn’t staffed but it was fine, that we could sit there and someone from the bar would serve us. However, very quickly after her manager came out and refused to seat us there. Arguing they had no control over the booking system, which defeats the whole point of a booking system. An absolute shambles of a restaurant with disgusting hygiene.

Table was dirty they tried to seat us at then heard lady say they were fully booked with 70% of restaurant empty but food was worse part had the dirty one only thing dirty was the plate rest was dry and chips were like they had been cooked few times!!! As for the service terrible but they all having their little chat about the day I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND YOU COME TO THIS PLACE TILL THEY SORT THEIR ACT OUT

Weekend away, lovely bright and welcoming restaurant. The food was lovely, Christina was fast, efficient and friendly!

Breakfast was pretty poor. Poached eggs were like jelly and paper thin piece of toast was like burnt cardboard. Cutlery and table wasn't very clean, no salt in the shaker and was greasy to touch. Felt gross and couldn't wait to leave. Should have gone to Wetherspoons!

Had a wonderful greeting and seated promptly. Even though they were very busy Ayla was with us very quickly and took our order. Everything arrived promptly and hot. Ayla made sure we had everything we needed and all was to standard. Definitely be returning another time.

Monday evening at 19:00. Quiet, about a quarter of the restaurant was filled. It took over ten minutes to be seated and for the bar staff to go looking for the waiting staff, while another 3 groups, queded behind us. After being seated in a section where all 4 tables were dirty, the waitress later came back to clean all the tables but ours. No exaggeration, 20 minutes passed and no one ever came to even take our drink order. My partner and I watched as the waitress continued to sort cutlery, clear tables no one was waiting for and more than anything seemed to be pretending to look busy. After a total of around 30 minutes of waiting at a dirty table and no drinks, we decided to get up and leave. I doubt they even noticed an empty table that hadn't been served.

Popped in for a drink never again floors were filthy covered in food, tables were sticky. Would not recommend

Came a year ago to have a disappointing experience where I was told it was under new management. A Year later and nothing has changed. Both Male toilet doors still don't lock. Still lack of staff and poor service (bit I do need to give the staff some credit because they did there best considering the lack of support) Food was luke warm and no ice cream which meant 3/4 of all there desserts including the kids menu was unavailable.

Quite disappointed by the visit, service was very poor, having been sat with a menu and given no indication of where/how to order, which was eventually done by a server after quite a long wait. Food was ok but one of the mains was missing some items and there was a poor attempt of covering up I can only assume was a shortage of eggs by cutting a single egg in half, gammon was mostly inedible. We were patient initially as we could see it had been very busy but towards the end of the meal, when you can see staff wandering around chatting whilst you want to get finished up, it becomes quite frustrating. Probably not returning unless we have a voucher available to somewhat offset the downsides.

Had a brilliant meal, and the staff made my day and my birthday. We went late afternoon and they had just cleared the room after a big party. I really wanted to sit by the window and watch the sea, as living in Milton Keynes, we are completely land locked. They cleared a table so I could look out having my dinner. The staff (waiter and barman) went above and beyond, and the drinks and meals were fantastic. A faultless experience, and I would not hesitate to go back or recommend them

Went there to have a some coffee and brunch on a Monday and had the worst service, waited for ages and no one would serve us, then asked a waitress who abruptly told us to order at the bar, where there was no one present since we walked in. When she finally agreed to make us some coffee, it was undrinkable, tasted like watered down old used grinds. We just took sips of the coffee and left. So disappointed as we used to go there every year when visiting Brighton.

Very tasty pork ribs. The unlimited salads are awesome. Value for money.

The staff seem unmotivated and unprofessional. One male employee appeared half-asleep, I even watched him put his head in his hands on the bar and offer another member of staff one of his cigarettes IN the restaurant. Just an overall lack of awareness/basic customer service that you’d expect in a restaurant. The manager (I think) provided friendly service, which was a redeeming factor. The food was ok, but the drinks were flat, and the stained glasses looked like they need proper cleaning or replacement. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend!

Had an amazing meal, such a good time with friends there and our lovely server Christina took really good care of us. Great experience over all!

I came for the Tuesday chicken, beginning of August 2024, I go to all harvesters, but this was the best restaurant by far. The meal was the best of all the harvesters Ive visited in size and value, i was so full after my lunch. James was welcoming on the door, friendly and helpful, he is an asset to the company. Waitress was jess. I will be back soon.

Our server (Jayden) was amazing. There was a slight mess up on our order and she comped the hole dish and offers us a free drink/dessert. The atmosphere was great and it’s in a very accessible location. Perfect place to go when visiting Brighton.

Delicious food, had a double dirty bird burger which was amazing. Ayla was very polite and attentive, and despite having to work during Pride, continued to have a smile on their face.

My husband and I popped in for lunch today and have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious. Our waiter James was outstanding, so friendly. He obviously loves his job and it shone through. Will certainly returning.

I came this morning for an early lunch with my son. We decided to give it a try for lunch as we never have before. There was a lovely man who was managing the door and took the time to chat with myself and my son. It’s nice to see they must have changed management. He really did make a difference as he was extremely welcoming and ensured we were seated quickly along with our drinks. It’s been a great way to start the day, thanks a lot!

Had James serve us and he was absolutely amazing, smiley and makes you feel so welcome and got our order perfectly! 5 stars all over!

We went to the harvester today for a meal.the food was excellent and our server jess went above and beyond to ensure we had a positive experience. She was friendly efficient and very attentive..we will definitely be coming back here again

We just wanted to give a shout out to an incredible waitress, Lauren. Lauren went above and beyond to help us this evening. They were clearly short staffed on a very busy Saturday evening and Lauren went the extra mile despite having to face 2 very rude and grumpy customers. She was kind, and friendly, amazing with kids and did her very best to meet our needs. We will definitely be back in the future. The whole team were under a lot of pressure today due to the hot weather and it was clear they were working very hard and pulling together where they could.

For me the fish dish was ideal for lunch time. Healthy as it slso came with the salad.

Food was delicious but the waitress really made everything perfect I believe her name was jayden we are here on holidays from dublin and she made it feel as if we never left which is highly appreciated 100% recommend

We go to Harvester a lot with the family and go to different ones. The food is the same everywhere but did feel more effort had gone into the meals and presentation. The atmosphere got an extra star for the same reason the service got 5 stars. Our waitress Trish (?) was so friendly and helpful, really nothing was too much and we are such a mob I was really impressed by how professional and quick she was.

Had some spare time in Brighton so ended up popping into the harvester. Decent food at decent prices. Service was great. Had a server named Trish wait on me. Super friendly and helpful. I had a ton of questions about the menu due to my allergies but she couldn’t have been nicer and gave me all the info I needed to know. A refreshing change. Nice one harvester

We waited an hour and 15 minutes for our food to arrive, including a kids meal that we had asked to be brought to us as soon as it was ready. When one of the servers was asked about the food wait time, they said they didn't know and merely walked away. Instead of being understanding, the managers tried to justify why we waited so long and their reasoning did not make sense at all. I would not recommend this Harvester to anyone.

A good ambiance restaurant. The food was great aswell. I hate doing this kind of review but the service is awful. We’ve been waiting for our main course for like an hour. And then the time our Main comes,I already requested them to bring our dessert as I know it will take more time, we end up waiting for another 40mins just for the dessert. 😫Basically more than 2hrs of lunch 😫

At first seemed alright but when the food came the forgot half the food that was ment to be on my plate and it was cold when they brung my chips out the tasted like they was cook hours ago the cutlery was dirty same with the salad bowls some how there was a pea on my partner’s plate with she’s allergic “WOULD NOT GO HEAR AGAIN”

Very bad experience Harold any salad left was given dirty bowls not washed properly my food was o k but my partner had hairs in it Manager tried to her best to out it right by discounting the bill. We've eaten here many times and have always had good service and food, and have usually been able to eat in without pre-booking. However, last Sunday it was below par. It was very quiet for a Sunday lunchtime so we were able to get a seat in the bar or the restaurant straight away. We ordered at the bar and was served by a very polite and efficient young man. Unfortunately, we were told that they were out of chicken (on a Sunday lunchtime!) but more was being cooked and would be another half hour or so. We were given our bowls for the salad bar but on visiting found that it was mostly empty, as were the rolls and butter. Other customers had approached a member of staff and asked for everything to be refilled. Had it been really busy, this would have been understandable but there were very few other customers and plenty of staff. Apart from the bar tender and a new member of staff who was being trained, most of the staff seemed to stand around chatting to each other. Another customer had to ask for napkins to be refilled in the bar area too. Not the best experience here today.

Had a great experience at Harvester Brighton. Luigi was fantastic and really helped us out when we was in a rush! Food was excellent as was the salad bar as always. Will be back soon! Great food and great staff!

The food (cod and chips)was reheated, tough and lukewarm. The peas were minimal and chips just chucked randomly in the plate. The waffles for desert were tough and tasteless. There was no cutlery on our table and the glasses for water not clean. We had to keep asking for everything… and in the end the napkins didn’t come. The staff were disinterested when we reported our bag had been stolen from our table outside. Overall terrible experience. This contrasts markedly with the Harvester at Durley Chine in Bournmouth… always amazing and delicious
